Monster's Brawl
Anyways, after Erik and I had a nice takeout sushi dinner I jetted off to see Alien Vs. Predator (or AVP as some people like to call it). I had a free ticket from using my AMC Movie Watcher card and it was about to expire. It was now or never so I chose "now" even if I had to go by myself (Erik had *no interest* in AVP). I must be a fan of really crappy movies or something because I loved this movie! If you are a fan of the Alien movies or the Predator movies you will like this flick. They came up with a great history for these two characters and fashioned a very fun storyline. And can I get a Whut Whut for my peoples?! The Aztecs were in the hizzy, y'all!!!
I'm not going to spoil it for those of you who haven't seen it (many of you have though, it was the #1 movie of the weekend raking in more than $38 million bucks) but the individual(s) that I thought would win in the end did win in the end (kind of). Of course there was a surprise it's-not-really-over ending which leaves the possibility for a sequel but I was pleased nonetheless. I went in expecting a lot less considering the movie was rated PG-13 but it was very good regardless. And HELLO!!! How come I didn't know that Raoul Bova (the star of those HOT Gap commercials) was starring in this movie?!?
I was *very* happy to see him in this movie. I was very *unhappy* to find out that he wasn't going to be slipping in and out of Gap jeans.
But, the best part of the evening was the fact that I had my first soda pop in 3 months! Yes folks, the fast is over and I'm back in carbonated beverage land. I haven't had pop to drink since April and let me tell you, it went down like sweet, sweet nectar falling from the heavens. My new thing is that I'm only going to drink pop when I go to the movies with very rare exceptions to the rule. Michael T. promised me a Mexican Coke so I'm very much looking forward to it. Mexican Coca-Cola only comes in bottles and is made with sucrose (which isn't used in American Coke) ... Mmmmm!
Once again, can we give it up for my peoples!?

What Would My Mother Say?
I'm sure you're wondering what good is a Hello Kitty Psych Test (well, more likely you're wondering what the eff I'm doing surfing the Hello Kitty website) but I can assure you, the questions are surprisingly high-brow, especially for a Hello Kitty Psych Test. Take the test, find out who you really are ... if you dare.

Alexander's Man
"... [I]f I saw a man and I was attracted ... I would probably follow through with it. Of course, that's easy for me to say now. If it happened, maybe it would be a confusing and difficult thing, considering the world that we live in."Yeah whatever. I think he did a great job in Requiem for a Dream and I am mildly entertained by 30 Seconds to Mars so I'm pretty sure he'll do a good job in Alexander. I also have to admit that I do like his hair. He's got the look that I am going for. I'm not sure if I'll be able to grow it out quite like his but that is the gist that I'm going for.
In other "probably gay boy" news, I just saw the video for On The Way Down by Ashlee Simpson cast-off Ryan Cabrera. It's a catchy pop song with a pre-brunette Ashlee splashed all over the video. Hmm, I don't get it. Why would they go ahead and release the video of the two of them if they just broke up? You don't think it's some ploy to say that they're broken up and then still use the video of them together to sway sympathy towards him in order to boost record sales, do you? I mean that would only work if they were both managed by the same person ... hey, wait a minute ...

A New Weak
You guys have to head over to VLB Sarah's blog to check out the cool graphic she made for me. Welcome to Trentylvania!
Shane sent me a new Ashlee Simpson song called Sorry. If you purchased Autobiography from Wal-Mart you were allowed to download an extra song (just like you could if you bought Britney's album from them). This is that extra bonus song. It's pretty good, a little darker than the rest of the songs (there's a going-through-rehab vibe in the lyrics) but hey, sometimes she gets dark. I can't wait to hear the other new tracks that are going to be released soon.
I got a head's up from Bingo (Boy and his Toy) that 98° is not completely dead. The official website that was not functional a few days ago is now up and running again. There is a prominent message stating that the band is not breaking up, according to Drew (the little Lachey)
Hey Everybody,I just want to apologize to you all. I didn't know that we had broken up until I heard it on the radio. If you can't tell, I'm joking. WE HAVE NOT BROKEN UP. I hope that will clear things up. We are however taking a break like I said before. Many doors have been opened up to us over the past couple of years and we want to take advantage of some of those. Don't forget that Universal is releasing the "Collection" CD in May. And the single "Why" officially goes to radio on 3/12. We hope we can count on you guys to support this project with as much enthusiasm as you have in the past. Thanks for everything. I hope you like the new stuff. I do. DrewHmmm, but while they are "not breaking up" another member is going solo. Jeff Timmons has his own website (complete with beefcake pictures) to promote his upcoming solo debut.
"Damn, maybe I should have married a Simpson!"
There is no word on the 4th guy (the one with the horrible dyed-blonde hair). Maybe he's shopping around for his own reality show? I suppose it's cool that the other guys haven't been given the shaft. I mean, Nick isn't even a huge breakaway star at all. It's all because of Jessica ...
Today's roundup:
- Wow! Nicky Hilton got hitched! She married a "New York money manager". I can't wait for the sex tape to leak. In other news, have you seen Tinkerbell?
- First Britney covers Bobby Brown for her greatest hits cd and now Marilyn Manson covers Depeche Mode for their greatest hits cd. Personally, I think MM doing Personal Jesus is too obvious. They should have done Enjoy the Silence all aggro-industrial. It would have been more ironic, no?
- Phelps won't be making Olympic history but he does get his first gold medal. Do we feel sorry for him or happy for him ... I'm not quite sure.
- Xtina loses her metal. She removed 10 of her 11 body piercings saying, "I'm rebelling against myself. I've taken out all my piercings apart from one in my right nipple. That's for me." Whew, I thought she had turned over a new leaf or something.
- Michael Jackson goes looking for God one day before he has to be in court. I bet it was his lawyer's idea to visit a "pre-eminent Black church". I bet it was Jackson's idea to visit 35 sunday school children at that church. Oi!
- Bush and Kerry are set for 3 debates; September 30, October 8 (town hall-style meeting) and October 13. I can't wait for Bush to open his mouth.
- Limp Bizkit is whole again, Wes Borland rejoins the band. The official website is splattered with photos of the full band in the recording studio. I hate Limp but I like Wes. I liked him better when he gave Fred the finger and split so Boo! to this news.
