London Calling?

In light of the horrible and extremely tragic devastation brought on by Hurricane Katrina, Britney Spears has taken the time to post a message of support for those affected by the tragedy:

We always have fun with Britney but I think we can all commend her as well for offering her support in this time of need. Please remember, I have posted a button in my ad strip in the hopes that those of you who can afford to will make a donation to The Red Cross. Let's all try and do what we can to help out those who really need our help.

Okay ... in other Britney news, it appears that Ms. Thang is going to be featured in next month's issue of Elle magazine. I have one question tho, who is the girl they photographed because she does not look like Britney Spears:

I mean ... of course it's her ... but she looks funny. Her face ... she looks drugged ... too much Starbucks I suppose. [via UBritney.com]

Here's the latest Britney Baby Name news: It seems that Preston Spears might actually become London Preston Spears. Unless Britney has a girl, then her name will be Addison Shye. Anything is better than Kevin or Kevina!

Jamie Lynn Spears has updated her official website and posted this picture that she took with a young fan:

I hope that little girl keeps her yap shut ... I'd hate for Britney to have to step to her.

Alanis Morrisette, Kid Rock, Carmen Electra and others were on hand for the World Music Awards last night:

Not only did Destiny's Child perform but they were the big winners of the night. Mariah Carey and Usher were also award winners. Eh, I'm kinda over awards shows ...

Kelly Clarkson is a real down-to-Earth girl ... check her out as she flies out of Miami International Airport:

She looks haggard, frazzled and tired ... just like anybody would at the airport. I love that she's so real! Rock on, Kelly. [via UltimateKC.com]

Madonna, who is still recovering from her birthday horse-riding accident, is getting her booty back to work:

It seems that Madonna has joined forces with Motorola for a new ad campaign. It is my understanding that she is also working with Apple's iTunes for another ad campaign. It sounds like a lot of Ker-Ching! Ker-Ching! to me. You go, Madge!

Nicky Hilton is really trying to make a name for herself ... here are some pictures from her Chic Fashion show:

Personally, I think her designs are pretty simple ... but she could be the next J. Lo if she really wanted to. I'm sure Donatella Versace is quiverring in her boots.

Check out this picture of Paris Hilton and her new friend:

Hmmm, can you spot the difference?

Sarah Michelle Gellar is looking really cute in this scarf and sunglasses ensemble:

She's playing a porn star in her new movie ... I wonder if she'll be doing her own sex scenes?

Benji Madden joined Steve Aoki at the Seven7 Jeans Rising Style Celebration of Fashion and Music (try saying that 5 times fast) in Las Vegas:

This shindig took place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino ... looks pretty fly.

Seven7 Jeans IS NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH 7 for all Mankind Jeans.

And let me take this opportunity to say that 7 for all Mankind Jeans are so totally kickass. My favorite pair of jeans are my 7 Jeans (I also love my Rock & Republic Jeans but they're aren't throwing a party so I'm done talking about them). Okay, that is all.

Christina Ricci spent some time with Adam Goldberg at the beach recently:

She must have really been in the mood for cake to need a piece on the beach. Frosting + sand = Ick!

James Marsters thrilled comic geeks at the Canada SFX Convention by appearing for a Q&A seminar:

Hmm ... he's starting to look a little aged. But the good news is that he will be returning to The WB this fall ... he scored a role on Smallville. [via Whedon.info]

30 Seconds to Mars released their new album this past Tuesday ... and they played a show in celebration in NYC ... but Jared Leto isn't just busying himself with his music career ... he's still got some movies to promote. Check out these promo pictures from his upcoming movie Lords of War:

Interesting ... it looks like Jared gets pret-ty close with Nicolas Cage. How very Brokeback Mountain of them ... [via Jared-Leto.org]

Check out these promo pictures from the new Ryan Renolds and Amy Smart movie, Just Friends:

While I prefer my Ryan Renolds to be all buff and shirtless (a la Blade Trinity and The Amityville Horror) I have to admit that he's still a damn cutie.

Here is a new production photo of Ian McKellen and Tom Hanks filming The Da Vinci Code:

I *still* haven't read the book so I'm not all that excited by this news ... I am a huge Ian McKellen fan ... so it's gotta be a good film, right?

Demi Moore is gracing the cover of the new issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine:

Some of the pix are a little J. Lo (man, J. Lo influences everyone, don't she?) but she looks great overall. I wonder if she talks at all about her relationship with Ashton Kutcher in the interview.

And finally, check out the cover of Landon Lueck's 2006 calendar:

I'm still kinda bummed that I didn't get to meet Landon when he came to Detroit a little bit ago ... but ah well, we still love Landon. Incidentally, the official website has an email address for fans to write to him. Check it out HERE.

Les news:
Yesterday was awesome ... I didn't do a damn thing and it was glorious. Erik and I did got downtown to OSLO for a nice sushi dinner and were met by the onslaught of Rolling Stones fans who had descended upon Comerica Park for the Stones' Detroit concert. I have to tell you, it was very cool to see downtown Detroit teeming with people.

Stefani, a DJ at The Zone 101.5 FM in Phoenix, AZ, sent me an awesome MP3 of the interview she did with Joel and Benji Madden at the MTV VMAs this past weekend:

this is an audio post - click to play

I cannot thank her enough for sending me the little snippet of her interview (click on the little arrow above to hear it). Big up to the Madden twins, I <3 you guys! Thanks so much for the love.

And with that, I'm out. Lates.
