Growing Pains

Seriously ... can the world stop for like 10 seconds, please?! Things are so hectic lately and there really is no end in sight -- I'm actually writing the text of this entry on an airplane flying from Atlanta, GA to Detroit, MI -- I had to take the red eye out of LA late last night. I've got so many things booked right now that I don't even want to think about how long it's going to be before I can settle back into my regular, normal routine. Blah! I'll get into all of this at the end but let's do the goss run-down.

Britney, Britney, Britney ... she is starting to get back to her good ol' self. It's nice to see her out and about again. Here are some pictures of dearest Britney Spears doing some shopping out in Malibu, CA:

I love it! She looks refreshed and rejuvenated. Her hair is brushed, she got Starbucks in hand and there is no Kevin in sight -- what more could we ask for? Well ... maybe if she had the baby with her that would kinda rule but I guess I'll take what I get. It will be interesting to see how much Britney takes on as she begins to do promo for her new remix album. I suspect the pictures of Sean Preston will come right around the time of the album's release. [Source]

Finally ... here are pictures of Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn gettin' all intimate and shizz in the bushes. I can't decide if it's kinda hot or kinda not:

They look really intimate ... just look at the way she is caressing his head ... look at how Vincey looks all safe and secure in her arms ... any bets on how long it will take for them to announce an engagement? Whether they actually make it to the altar is another thing ... but I've had a feeling that these 2 were going to hook up. It would suck if Vince ended up being her rebound guy. [Source]

Madonna is in New York City to launch her onslaught upon the world. Her new album, Confessions on a Dancefloor, is set to drop next month and Madonna is already doing massive promo for the album's release. Here are a couple of pictures of Madge and her son Rocco hanging out in the city:

I wonder if she made him wear that cap. Maybe it's like a Ciccone-Ritchie rule that all family members must wear headwear when seen out in public in a casual manner. Anyways ... it's cute to see how Rocco is basically turning into a miniature Guy Ritchie. [Source]

Anyways ... so Madonna is set to begin a massive promotional campaign for her new album ... here are some screen captures of a teaser video for the album:

Um, the pink is hot! Today Madonna will be the guest on MTV's TRL. It is my understanding that her new single, Hung Up, will be featured. There will also be a dance contest where the winner will get to dance with Madonna. She is supposedly going to be on the show for the full hour and the whole show will be devoted to her. I am extremely fortunate to be able to be in the TRL audience today. I cannot tell you how excited I am to be in that close proximity to her royal Madgeesty herself. Tomorrow night she will be at the first screening of her new documentary I Want To Tell You A Secret. I'll have a bit more news about that tomorrow. [Source]

Since Madonna and, presumably, her children are with her in New York, hubby Guy Ritchie is flying solo back home in England. I wonder what he thinks about everything that is going on ...

... er, yeah. He looks like he got caught red handed doing something really naughty. Whatevs ... he's a cutie. I think he makes a really good partner for Madonna. [Source]

Paris Hilton never says no to a modeling gig ... here is the diva strutting her stuff on the 2B runway:

The designs look okay ... I suppose. But why is she walking around with a rat on her shoulder? I understand that she picked up a couple of rodents to be her new pets but I sooo do not think that that's hot. [Source]

Lindsay Lohan has been having a lot of mood swings lately ... she's up, she's down ... it just depends on when you catch her. Here is a picture of Lindsay on her way into Club Mood:

She looks all serious and stuff. She looks as if she needs a few drinks to loosen up. And by "drinks" of course I mean nonalcoholic beverages ... we know that Hollywood "It" girls do not indulge in the vices of underage drinking because that would be the wrong thing to do and it would set a bad example. I'm not too crazy about the boots ... but her hair looks supercute. [Source]

Brandon Davis, recent Mischa Barton cast-off, was also on his way to Club Mood on the same night as L. Lo. Here are some pictures of biggie talls gettin' all cozy with a new lady friend:

It must be really nice to be a billionaire. How else would Brandon Davis get girls to even want to stand next to him let alone get in their pants. If greasy hair becomes the new "thing" I'm leaving the country. [Source]

Here is a picture of Michael Jackson and his eldest children Prince Michael I and Paris (baby Blanket, a.k.a. Prince Michael II is not pictured) as they create a stir at Harrod's Department store in England:

I don't know about you but I think those head sacks that the kids are wearing are f*cking fabulous! Who knew that old pairs of fishnet stockings could be useful again? Yeah ... those kids are going to be ruined for life. Can you imagine having Michael Jackson as your father? [Source]

Here are some pictures of a happy-looking Fiona Apple as she arrives at The Late Show with David Letterman studio:

Yeah, doesn't she look so happy to be back on the scene doing promo work? She looks a little snippy in the second picture ... does this girl ever look happy? [Source]

I'm not one to believe rumors or anything like that ... but I've been hearing things about the UK pop group McFly that hint at the fact that they boys are more than just bandmates ...

...I am happy to know that those rumors appear to be completely false and unsubstantiated. [Source]

Here is the first promo picture of Daniel Craig in his role as the new James Bond:

Judging by the size of his pistol it looks like they made a pretty good choice. This Bond looks like he's going to be a little more rough ... a little more scruffy and not as pansy-polished as the last James Bond. I'm still hopin' for all of that frontal nudity that Mr. Craig is know for ... Wee!! [Source]

Gwen Stefani is on the cover of the new issue of Allure magazine:

Gwen does the blonde bombshell thing so well ... she looks amazingly HOT in those hotpants. She is coming to Detroit on October 29 and I cannot wait to see her! I ended up getting pretty good seats ... I'm very intrigued to see what kind of show she's gonna put on. [Source]

DJ AM is on the cover of the new issue of BPM magazine:

The dog tags are pimpin'. He's got a great, chilled out style. Y'all know that I am a fan of t-shirts and jeans. Big up to my girl Clariza for styling AM's magazine photoshoot. Ya done good, girl. [thanks Clariza]

Lil' Kim is everywhere these days ... it seems like you can't open up a magazine without seeing our fave hooch strutting herself on the pages ...

Inmate # 87645 does look pretty hot in these pictures ... I wonder how prison life is treating her? [Source]

Here are some screencaps from the trailer of the new Jake Gyllenhaal movie Jarhead:

Talk about your big guns ... Jake's pistol is even bigger than Daniel Craig's pistol. Yeah, I'm interested to see how that shower scene turns out. [Source]

I never knew I was such a rugby fan. In the fine tradition of the Dieux du Stade calendars comes the Angeli de Rugby calendar:

If they keep coming out with these hot calendars, I may have to start watching the actual games. [Source]

And finally ... have you heard those rumors about how Clay Aiken and Reichen Lemkuhl allegedly had an affair ... that they "hooked up" while Reichen was in the Kill Reality house?

I mean, c’mon ... could you be any more ridiculous? While it is completely plausible that Clay likes male attention I find it extremely impossible to believe that he could score a dude like Reichen. Geeze ... some tabloids will print anything. [Source]

No news links today ... but I did hear that The Fog was the #1 movie at the box office this weekend. [thanks Rachel]

I am completely overwhelmed by the enormous outpouring of support that I have received since my post yesterday evening. I really just wanted to write out how I was feeling and how all of this new activity has been affecting me. I couldn’t think of a better place than in my own blog. With all these meetings and all the flying back and forth there is going to come a period of growing pains. I’m not sure how I will be able to keep up my usual routine when my life routine is being completely altered.

In the end, I can only do what I can do. That has always been the case ... I can’t write like anybody else, I can’t be funny all of the time, I cannot live up to everyone’s expectations. I can only be me. If being me involves having to post late or post shorter entries then that is what the case may be ... at least for a short while. I realize that many people come here for a specific reason and if their “needs” are not being me then they may not come back. I cannot be concerned about that because there is no possible way for me to be able to do everything all at the same time. I have been doing this blog for a long time. When it comes to Pink is the new Blog I know what needs to be done and how to get it done. I’m going thru an adjustment period much like many of you go thru when major life changes (new relationships, lost loved ones, new job opportunities) occur ... I’ll figure it out and get back into the swing of things. In the meantime, I’m just going to try and keep my head, do my best and soldier on as I evaluate how I would like my life to turn out.

By the time of this posting, I’ll be in NYC will another full plate of things to do. I cannot tell you how excited I am to get back to Detroit to be with Erik in my own home in a few days. That will be the thing I get to look forward to most while I am running around in the Big Apple.

I guess that’s it for now ... I’m out.
