Are we witnessing a new love connection? Check out the signs ... she brushed her hair, she's wearing make-up and a new (clean) dress -- and check out those shoes! If those red shoes don't scream "save me from my husband and make the sweet lovin' to me" I don't know what does. The boy has horrible hair but he does look light years better than The Federline. Hmmm ... we're gonna have to keep watching these two :) [Source]
Meanwhile, Kevin Federline is still rollin' with his homies while Britney is spending time with the hot manny ... here are pictures of K-Fed shopping for a new cell phone:
Could it be that Britney is cutting Kevin off from her purse strings? Perhaps she closed his cell phone account and now he has to fend for himself? Eh, it's prolly wishful thinking at this point but ... wishes can come true :) [Source]
ATTENTION: LOST SPOILER ALERT WARNING
I'm not exactly sure how I feel about last night's season finale of Lost. Yes, we were given a few answers (even if they were a bit cryptic) but, in the end, we were left with a lot more questions -- and a whole summer to ponder those new questions. I'm not going to do a blow-by-blow recap (click HERE for a really good recap that covers all the big points) but I will muse on a few things that I noticed and pontificate on new/amended theories about the Lost overall story:
I think it's safe to assume that most of the hatch possibilities have been exhausted in this second season. I don't know that the next season will focus too much on the hatches -- but that remains to be seen. So ... let's get to it ... we finally found out what happened to Desmond -- he got on his boat and set sail for freedom only to be turned around and return to the island. WTF is up with Libby? Who is she? Her name is Elizabeth (with a dead husband) and then she's an insane-o in Hurley's mental institution AND THEN she's a clinical psychologist stranded on the island. Either she is a schitzo or will turn out to be someone more malicious. She looks different every time she shows up in someone's flashback (Desmond's, Hurley's, Eko's) -- I'm sure we've not seen the last of Libby or whatever her name really is. The Widmore Corporation has deep connections with the Hanso Foundation -- I think we're gonna find out more about that connection in the coming season. I'm more interested in the connection between Penelope Widmore and her father Charles Widmore. The Widmore family is featured in the fictional Lost novel Bad Twin but she is not mentioned at all (that I remember). She obviously loves Desmond very much -- it appears that she is using her enormous wealth to look for her lost Desmond.
So it appears that entering the numbers in the computer really is important (it was a nice switch to reveal that the Pearl hatch was the fake hatch) ... but now that the Swan hatch has been destroyed (it remains to be seen whether or not it was utterly destroyed) does this mean that the electromagnetic project is dunzo? I believe the island has been hidden from the outside world by the electromagnetic pulse-thing and now the island can be seen by the outside world (i.e. Penelope and her search?)
Ahh ... there is too much to write about ... we know that Desmond accidentally pulled down Oceanic Flight 815 thereby stranding the survivors on his island -- does this mean that they weren't brought to the island by design? We saw the island get engulfed in a bright light but that doesn't necessarily mean the hatch exploded -- if it was an EMP detonation then all the electronics in the hatch were destroyed but the people wouldn't have been killed -- necessarily. Next season will be very interesting ... we'll prolly see more off-island scenes. The scenes involving those guys in that snowy outpost (who discovered the electromagnetic anomaly) and Penelope in her bedroom are the first off-island scenes that occur in real time to ever been seen on the show (everything else that we've ever seen has taken place either on the island or in flashback). Now that we know that the outside world exists then we know that the theory that the survivors are dead and living in purgatory and the theory that the people on the island are the only people left on Earth are both invalidated. OY! My head hurts ... at least I have a bunch of months to rack my brains over all of these questions. I'm sure TheHansoFoundation.org website will provide more questions while we wait for season 3 to begin in the Fall. [Source, Source]
ATTENTION: AMERICAN IDOL SPOILER ALERT WARNING
Well ... in case you have been living underneath a rock then you probably already know who was chosen as the new American Idol last night ... but ... I'm putting up the spoiler alert warning just in case someone out there still wants to be surprised. I did not watch one moment of American Idol last night (it was all about Lost for me) but from what I understand, it was quite an entertaining conclusion ... I mean ... HELLO! Clay Aiken showed the world his new head of hair:
Clay looks even more ridiculous then ever before ... the fact that Michael Sandecki almost wet his pants when he discovered he was dueting with Clay was just too precious. Well, I suppose I should congratulate Taylor Hicks on becoming the newest American Idol so -- congrats! The fact that he won isn't just good news for David Hasselhoff but it's good news for Adult Contemporary Radio as well. Woot! [Source]
The Sofia Coppola movie Marie Antoinette premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this week and stars Kirsten Dunst and Jason Schwartzman were both on hand for the event. Unfortch for Sofia and crew, Marie Antoinette is already being bombarded with a negative response ... mainly from French peeps:
The boos, along with sarcastic whistles, came at the early morning press screening for the film (it played last night as a gala in competition and was enthusiastically cheered, as are most films that play to the black-tie and gown crowd). "That's disappointing to hear," Coppola told her press conference about the critical reaction. "(But) I think it's better to get a reaction -- that people like it or really don't like it. It's better than a mediocre response" ... "I wasn't making a political movie about the French Revolution," Coppola said almost shyly at the press conference, where her parents, filmmakers Francis Ford and Eleanor Coppola, were huddled on the sidelines with son Roman Coppola and other family members. At one point, Eleanor Coppola snuck down in front with a video camera to film her daughter talking. "I was doing a portrait of the character of Marie Antoinette and my opinions are in the film," Sofia Coppola said. "To me, before I worked on the story, she was a symbol of decadence and frivolity and the end of an era for France. It was very interesting to read and research more about Marie Antoinette and find out more about the human experience of this young girl who went to Versailles (from Austria) when she was 14 and how she developed in the court of Versailles." The French take their Marie Antoinettes very seriously so I'm not surprised that the movie is being met with some jeering. I am still very interested in seeing this film ... I mean, who wouldn't want to see a powder-white and nekkid Kirsten Dunst? [Source]
Xtina Aguilera really likes to get her drink on ... check out these awesome pictures of Xtina being led out of The Ivy this week lookin' super wa-sted:
Red lips, see thru shirt, green complexion ... that's my girl! [Source]
Jessica Simpson is lookin' tore up from the floor up these days. She really doesn't do bitter very well, does she?
Do you suppose the pressure of Nick moving on with his life coupled with Ashlee's growing success is starting to take its toll on her? She can't even depend on her BFF Cacee Cobb anymore ... someone needs to give that girl a cookie before she bursts into tears. [Source]
Ashlee Simpson, on the other hand, continues to move forward with her successful career. Here are pictures of Ashlee on the set of her new music video for her song Invisible:
Invisible will be featured on the re-release of I Am Me which is due for release this July. I can't be sure ... but I think that Ashlee's video is based on some sort of fighting theme ... maybe the video will showcase the final knock out punch to big sis Jessica's career? [Source]
Boy ... don't TomKat look happy in these pictures of the pair at Connor Cruise's baseball game this week? I sure hope the pair aren't having any relationship problems:
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes reportedly got into a big fight -- that ended with Holmes deciding to take baby Suri to Ohio to introduce the infant to family and friends. Tom, who is rumored to have a rocky relationship with Holmes' parents, won't be joining them, according to Life & Style Weekly. "He told Katie he wasn't going, considering the bad relations between him and her family," an "insider" told the mag. "Katie was really happy he said that, because she'd been afraid to admit to him that she didn't want him to go." The couple allegedly had a "huge argument" which ended with Katie declaring, "I'm doing this and you can't stop me." Her rep denies the story. So wait ... they're allegedly fighting like cats and dogs ... putting baby Suri in the middle ... and we haven't even seen this child yet? Is it possible that the couple could breakup before we get to see pictures of baby Suri? Will we ever see pictures of Suri? Is their sham falling apart right in front of their eyes? Hmm ... [Source]
Hallelujah! Courtney Love does own a hair brush! AND she actually uses it from time to time:
I'm not saying that she looks good or anything ... but she is looking better ... Hey, beggars can't be choosers. [Source]
Nicole Richie is on the cover of the new issue of Cosmo Girl magazine and while the pictures aren't necessarily stunning, it's good to see her smiling (well, mostly):
I'm really bummed that Nicole and AM broke up again ... they made such a great couple ... here's hoping that she can stay strong and stay away from any bad influences as she deals with her break-up. [Source]
Janet Jackson -- or should I say Janet Jackson's head on another woman's body -- is on the cover of the new issue of US Weekly magazine:
I keed, I keed ... I know that Miss Jackson lost a lot of weight (weight, she claims, she put on for a movie role) in the course of a few months but I can't get over how fake this picture looks. I believe that is her head and I believe those are her boobs ... if that is really her whole body then she is truly a wonder. [Source]
And finally, check out this picture of Pop Idol Will Young and his boyfriend in the UK magazine Heat:
LOL! That boyfriend looks like quite a catch. He must be really something in the sack. [Source]
