Boob Job

You can tell it's going to be a pretty slow news day when you have to start out with a pretty boring picture of Courteney Cox-Arquette and her hubby David Arquette lounging on lounges while on vacation in Sardinia, Italy. Eh ... who knows ... maybe if we watch the Cox-Arquettes long enough something exciting will happen ... OH LOOK ... Courteney is going for a little swim:

Swimming in the sea always sounds amazing but the reality is, that it's often absolutely freezing ... This Hollywood star is no chicken... she didn't waste any time in diving straight in for a Mediterranean swim ... In fact, she looks positively unimpressed by the chill factor whilst on holiday in Italy. Wow! Can you believe it ... Courteney Cox ... actually swimming in the ocean?! [Source, Source]

Boo! I think it's safe to say that nothing really exciting happens to Courteney Cox-Arquette ... except when she happens to be holding her daughter Coco, while wearing a skimpy bathing suit within reach of Coco's little hands:

Click image above to see the uncensored version

FRIENDS beauty Courteney Cox gives a tit-illating glimpse of her curves -- as her playful daughter pulls down her top. Coco, two, grabbed hold of a bikini strap and gave swimmers in the Med an eyeful of her gorgeous mum's charms. But an onlooker said of 42-year-old Courteney: "She has nothing to worry about. She looked fantastic." Whoops! Well, I suppose Court should all be thanking Coco for getting her mummy some attention. [Source]

Check out these really cute pictures of Madonna's kiddies Lourdes Ciccone-Leon and Rocco Ritchie play a little t-ball in Central Park in NYC earlier this week:

Little Rocco has inherited his British father Guy Ritchie's rugged looks, but he's obviously developed a taste for American sports, too. The five-year-old was putting all his energy into a baseball game when he was photographed in the Big Apple landmark. His sibling, who turns ten later this year, also tried her hand at hitting a few home runs, but in the end she was content to show off her gymnastic skills with a hand stand ... Madonna is well-known for her commitment to her children, but a burly minder was watching over the playful pair on this occasion. The Material Girl, who has just begun a four-night run at Madison Square Garden, was no doubt busy preparing for her spectacular show. Maddy's kids are so cute ... Lola looks exactly like her mother and Rocco looks exactly like his dad, Guy. The article ain't lying about Madonna being bizzy with her show ... that woman works hard on that stage. I wouldn't be surprised if she spends a lot of time recuperating after putting on one of her amazing performances. [Source]

Uh oh ... that scary homeless man who accosted Michelle Williams the other day seems to be still on the prowl ...

Yikes! He looks like he needs help in the worst way. [Source]

Charlize Theron is a hot chick. She tends to have that special effect on males of any species:

Charlize was honored at the Los Angeles Film Festival's Spirit of Independence award ceremony for her commitment to artistic independence. She was also honored with a little surprise from the Target mascot ... I wonder which honor she will cherish more? [Source]

While Pamela Anderson was bizzy taking off her clothes in support of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, 80's rockers Siouxsie Sioux and Chrissie Hynde were hob-nobbing with other PETA party-goers and managed to do so fully-clothed:

I love these chicks. Chrissie rocks and Siouxsie just plain rules. Siouxsie was actually on hand to present an award to Cosmopolitan magazine and Topshop for adopting a fur free policy. Who knew you could help save the animals even without the big silicone boobs? [Source]

Pink reader Eva sends in this picture of Taylor Cole who you may recall was marginally featured in the second season of Laguna Beach on MTV. Sure, she wasn't really interesting when she was on the show ... and no, she really didn't get much screentime and what little screentime she actually got wasn't very memorable -- actually, you prolly have no idea who this girl is after all:

At any rate, it looks like Taylor has really been keeping herself bizzy since leaving the shores of Laguna Beach for college life at the University of Arizona. It also looks like she likes to kick back a few brewskis when she and her friends gather to watch The Hills on MTV. [thanks Eva]

I'm not sure any World Cup picture is going to beat the incredible picture I posted yesterday but the show must go on. Pink reader TS sends in this cute picture of Team Portugal's prized possession Cristiano Ronaldo gettin' lots of L.U.R.V.E. from his amorous teammates in their game against Iran last week:

Soccer is such a sweet and nice sport. There's none of that awful brawling or meanness ... I half expect to see these guys start making out at any moment. Boo ... I wish they would start doing that actually. [thanks TS]

Scarlett Johansson has teamed up with her Match Point director Woody Allen to make another movie ... this one looks to be far less heady and a touch more funny. This time around, Woody has paired Scarlett up with Hugh Jackman in the romantic comedy Scoop which is due out on July 28th ... here are a couple of screencaps:

The trailer for this movie is very ... interesting. Apparently, Scarlett communes with a dead reporter who tries to convince her that Hugh Jackman is a serial killer and it's up to her to break the story (and Woody Allen tags along for comic relief). Uh ... yeah ... well at least Hugh Jackman is shirtless in parts of the film -- and therein you see its appeal. Yeah, I'm in. [Source]

Xtina Aguilera has unveiled the cover artwork for her new album Back to Basics ... she tells MTV News that she was going for a Marilyn Monroe vibe for the photo:

When Christina Aguilera started working on her bluesy, soulful follow-up to Stripped in February 2005, the singer was inspired not only by the sounds of the 1920s, '30s and '40s, but the look of those eras as well. So when it came time to shoot the artwork for Back to Basics a year later, Aguilera knew exactly what she wanted ... "The glamour from those eras was so amazing as well [as the music], so I'm referencing Marlene Dietrich ... Marilyn [Monroe] ... Carole Lombard ... Greta Garbo, Veronica Lake, there's so many," Aguilera said during a break from shooting, citing the most popular actresses of the era. "Whenever you collect all your tear sheets and your references and all that, to see everything come to life it's just really, really amazing and fun" ... Aguilera spent most of the first day in a bed, peering through the iron bars of a headboard, a shot inspired by a famous Marilyn Monroe picture. The Back to Basics cover shot, a sensual image that features her dressed in white and lounging on a bed, was taken during the same session. Even when Xtina goes classy she does so in a manner that's still a little bit dirrrty. I'm intrigued by her new sound ... I am looking forward to checking out the album as a whole. I'm not sure I'll be down with the whole old skool soul vibe ... but I am willing to give it a chance. [Source]

The official teaser trailer for the Transformers movie has been unleashed ... with all the fan-made stuff going around the InterWeb, I have been really anxious to see what the real deal will look like ... here are a few caps from the teaser trailer:

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Oh, I'm sorry ... I kinda lapsed into a coma while watching this lame as hell teaser trailer. There's nothing to be teased with! We get one split second flash of a Transformer and that's pretty much it. Do you need a nap? Click HERE if you need to take a quick snooze. The Spider-Man people really know what they're doing ... the Spider-Man 3 teaser trailer rocks balls -- this Transformers teaser sucks balls. I hope they get their shizz together somewhere along the way ... I'd hate to be disappointed by this movie. [Source]

If you're getting tired of waiting to see photographic proof that Suri Holmes-Cruise actually exists, how about you occupy your self with this fun little Save Suri game courtesy of the blog foureyedbat:

Save Suri! Game Rules -- Based on games like Parcheesi, the object of the game is to be the first player to get to the center and rescue Suri from the evil aliens threatening her. For 2 - 4 players, you'll need a pair of dice and game markers. Each player starts at the tail of one alien, rolls the dice and jumps that many spaces. The color you land on will indicate your next action. Click HERE to get the full set of rules ... then call up some friends (preferably the ones who aren't Scientologists), imbibe some booze and have yourself some fun this long 4th of July weekend. Wee! [Source]

And finally, Pink reader Suzy sends in this picture of her friend Nikee Pomper holding a sign that reads Pink is the new Ironman just moments after she completed her first Ironman competition in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho last Sunday:

Suzy writes: Myself and fellow pink fans Emily, Teri, and Matt made signs to help inspire her during the race. One of them was a pink sign declaring "Pink is the new Ironman" -- which made her crack up as she ran by us. Right after she crossed the finish line we all took a picture with the sign ... That is so awesome ... congratulations Nikee. I know my lazy ass couldn't handle anything that involves 2.5 miles of swimming, 112 miles of biking, and a marathon. My hat is off to you, girl. Well done!!!

Da News:
So David and I were extremely fortunate enough to attend another night of Madonna goodness at Madison Square Garden as she took to the stage for her Confessions Tour. We were hooked up with amazing front row seats for the show ... here are a few pictures from that vantage point:

Yeah ... this time around, I took about 4 billion pictures! It was really hard to stop snapping when Madonna is singing and dancing about 10 feet in front of your face. We were super close to all of her dancers who kept sweating all over us ... believe me, I am not complaining. Madonna was a bit more animated this time ... she spent more time talking to the crowd -- she was way more familial with the audience than she was on Wednesday night. No lie, I got her to smile at me twice :) It was an utter blast.

I have to send out ALL MY LOVE to my favorite Semtex Girl Denise for being so generous to David and me. Her kindness and hospitality is much appreciated ... she is the best and I just love her!

I got to meet a few more Pink readers last night ... it is always a pleasure meeting people who enjoy PITNB. Thank you all for coming over to say hello. Here are a couple more pictures from last night:

David and I got to stare at ourselves all night long in the mirrors that line Madonna's stage -- believe me, at 102+ degrees, it wasn't always a pretty sight. A much better sight is my new friend Rob who I ran into again last night.

Last night was so fun ... I have been having the best time in NYC this time around -- despite all the rain ;)

Not sure what we're doing tonight ... I just hope we get to stay dry.

Last thing ... I have to send out a quick shout of congrats to Pink reader Jenn who got engaged earlier this week. XOXO

That is all ... I'm out.

Have You Confessed?

And Britney Spears' onslaught upon the media continues ... despite the fact that Britney proclaims that she no longer wants media attention (yes, she did say this in her Dateline interview), she seems to be showing up in the media pretty much every day. From her boring photospread in OK magazine, to her shocking photospread in Harper's Bazaar magazine (which will be released, that issue is due to hit newsstand on July 25) and now we get to feast upon these intimate family photos which will be published in this week's issue of US Weekly magazine (on newsstands now):

Personally, I think Britney looks best with her blonde hair. She actually looks cute and normal in these pictures. I'm not sure what the eff is going on with Kevin Federline's hair ... he looks like he got his haircut at Fantastic Sams ... by a drunk stylist. Sean Preston is quite the little butterball, ain't he? He looks hilarious in the third picture. I wonder what news media will Spederline show up tomorrow? [Source]

People magazine has compiled a wedding photo album of sorts for Marcia Cross and her new husband Tom Mahoney who were wed in San Gabriel, CA last weekend. I gotta admit, Marcia looks stunning in that white dress:

I love her red hair! Who knew that Tom Mahoney was into firecrotch ;) I keed, I keed ... actually their wedding looks like it was a classy affair (no Juicy jumpsuits for Ms. Cross). It was so nice of Marcia's Desperate Housewives co-stars attended her nuptials ... er, except for Teri Hatcher. I believe she was too bizzy on holiday to be bothered with Marcia's wedding. Oh and Nicollette Sheridan was absent as well ... I wonder what her excuse was? [Source]

Brandon Routh and Kate Bosworth paid a little visit to MTV's TRL yesterday to help generate even more hype for their new movie Superman Returns:

Y'all heard what I have to say about the movie, but here is what MTV thinks about Superman Returns ... Kurt Loder writes: So. Are there astonishing action scenes? Well, real astonishment -- of the "How on earth did they do that?" variety -- is in oddly short supply ... But for all its visual felicities, the movie is curiously flat, largely because of the casting ... Kate Bosworth [is problematic]. She may be more dewily pretty than Margot Kidder, who played Lois Lane in the earlier pictures, but she lacks Kidder's sparky humor -- she's not much fun. And given Bosworth's age (she's now 23), this Lois's long flirtation with Superman would have had to begin when she was the only major metropolitan newspaper reporter in the country too young to drink or drive. Also inadequate is Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor ... A lot of talented people have put a lot of work into this movie, and since its ending all but cries out for a sequel or three, they'll probably have a chance to get it right the next time around (should they remain onboard). The bittersweet love story is interesting, but it remains to be seen whether the young action-movie audience -- the people that studios count on to be repeat ticket-buyers -- will find it all that addictive after an initial viewing. Yep, I tend to agree ... I'm not sure that fans of Superhero movies will want to come back to watch a sweeping love story like this. I, for one, plan on seeing it again at IMAX but that's only cuz I want to see the 3D (even if the 3D scenes only make up 1/8 of the whole movie) ... I do hope I enjoy the flick more the second time around. [Source]

Here are new pictures of Kylie Minogue and Olivier Martinez hanging out in and around Paris, France:

They make such a great couple ... and it looks like they're still happily in love (there've been a few rumors going around that they broke up). I'm glad to see that things seem to be coming along nicely in her recuperation from her cancer treatment. [Source]

Kylie has posted a new message on her website regarding her return to the stage:

Hi everyone,

Firstly, I am so pleased to finally let you know the dates for the Showgirl- Homecoming tour. As you can imagine there is much to be done in order to be ready by November, but we are all very excited about resuming and updating the show. Thank you to Michael Gudinski for making the announcement to the world!

Secondly, you now have plenty of time to sort out what to wear. Remember I will be watching you!

Third, the marriage proposal and denial rumours. Stoppppppppp!!

And lastly, 'Come on, Socceroos'!!!!

Love to you all,
Kylie x

:) She is so cute ... I just know that she and Olivier are engaged and she's just playing coy with us ... Hee hee!

Cue the 70's porn music, it appears that the porn 'stache is back on the scene again ... check out this picture of Adam Brody chillin out with one of his dogs ... note the lip hair that homie is wearin':

Hellz yeah! Long live the porn 'stache! Holla! [Source]

Pamela Anderson is always lookin' for a good reason to get nekkid in public. Actually, she is always lookin' for any ol' reason to get nekkid in public but this time she's doing so for a good cause -- or something. Here are pictures of a mostly nude Pamela as she poses in a Stella McCartney shop window in London:

I'm sure the animals of the world thank her. See, if you have ginormous plastic breasts then you, too, can do your part to save the world. [Source]

Pink reader Phil sends in these pictures of our favorite dynamic duo, The SkeletwinsTM, at the grand opening of Social Hollywood in LA earlier this week:

I wish these two hung out more often ... it's always so nice to see them lovin' on each other. Sure, they're not as skeletal as they once were (which is a good thing) but I still got mad love for the both of them. [thanks Phil]

Speaking of mad love, Eminem shocked the crowd at the 2006 BET Awards when he showed up to perform with a few of his friends sportin' new ink which pays tribute to his slain friend Proof:

Eminem made a surprise public appearance at an award ceremony in Los Angeles [Tuesday] night, appearing alongside Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliot. The rap superstar performed on-stage with Busta and Missy at the 2006 BET Awards, at the Shrine Auditorium in California. His showing follows a troubled few months, in which Eminem's second marriage to Kim Mathers disintegrated and his best friend, Proof from D-12, was murdered. That's Detroit love, y'all. It looks like Em ain't lettin' things get him down. [Source]

Yikes! What horrible measure of horrible karmic cruelty do you suppose forced 24's Mary Lynn Rajskub to be punished in this manner? It's so gross ... it pains me to even type it ... but check out this picture of Rush Limbaugh trying to slip Mary Lynn some tongue:

Freakin' EW! Someone take away that man's viagra before he strikes again. LOL, check out Mary Lynn's face ... it looks like she prolly threw up a little in her mouth. [Source]

Um ... what do you suppose is going on in this picture?

I actually don't really care what is really going on ... I'm just wondering what it would be like to be in this guy's position. [Source]

Victoria Beckham has a fondness for being flashy, showy and she just loves to be noticed:

Boy, look at how stunning she is in this beautiful red ensemble. I'm totally serious ... utter perfection ... [Source]

... from the front, that is. Check out this UPROARIOUS picture of Victoria Beckham's ginormous bald spot!

Victoria Beckham was apparently not impressed when these pics surfaced. An insider told The Sun: "She was furious when pictures appeared to show her with a bald spot. She wanted it sorted out before the Portugal game." So what did Vic do? She hopped on a plane back to her hairdresser in Blighty to get it sorted. As you would, of course. And the salon owner, Angelo Georghiou, told the paper it cost £1,500. He also revealed her hair is now a lot thicker, and that she never had a bald spot in the first place... Isn't it amazing what a little money, a patch of fake hair and a lot of glue can do for your looks? It was only a matter of time before the cracks started to show in the robot's armor. I'm actually surprised her wires aren't showing yet. [Source]

With all the fanboy love out there surrounding the impending Transformers movie, it's hard to tell what's real and what's not ... here are a few screencaps from fan created footage of Autobot leader Optimus Prime transforming from truck to robot:

Click HERE to check out the footage for yourself. If a fan can create something like this, the movie is gonna rule ... even tho the colors aren't exactly right, the way that he transforms is spot on. Love it! [Source, thanks Lise]

It's been about 5 seconds since my last World Cup update so let's do another. Pink reader Kathryn sends in this AWESOME picture of Portugal player Simão Sabrosa celebrating ... something ... on the soccer field:

Holy moly! I really hope that Portugal scores more goals ... wins more games ... or whatever it was that made Mr. Sabrosa stip off all of his clothes in ecstatic glee. TEAM PORTUGAL! [thanks Kathryn]

And finally, I've gotten a lot messages about the fact that Pink is the new Blog got a little shout-out in the current issue of Vanity Fair magazine. Pink reader Erica was kind enough to provide a scan:

Vanity Fair is some classy shizz ... I am honored by the mention. Thank you all for all the messages ... and much lurve to the Vanity Fair peeps for the shout! XO [thanks Erica]

The News:
So ... David and I attended the first NYC date of Madonna's Confessions Tour last night at Madison Square Garden and, it goes without saying, that we had an amazing time. I'm so glad I stayed away from tour spoilers for the past few weeks because it was fun getting surprised as each new segment of the show was unveiled. I'm hesitant to write a full-on review so as not to spoil the show for anyone else who's yet to see the show (be warned, I post the setlist below the pictures) ... but I will say that Madge brought out a lot of old skool songs to throw into the mix. We had choice seats near the end of the catwalk and were in the perfect position to dance when we wanted to, take pictures when we wanted to and still not get crushed by other clamoring fans ... I ended up taking over 200 pictures ... but here's a taste of the show from my vantage point:

Madonna knows how to work ... she tore up that stage like nobody's business. She even strapped on her guitar and rocked out for a bit, too. The place went utterly nuts when she performed I Love New York. She confessed that she "fucked up some of the words" to a few songs and kept "falling down all over the place" but I didn't notice a thing. She proclaimed that she was glad to be "home" and the audience was happy to receive her.

Here is the show setlist:

Future Lovers/I Feel Love
Get Together
Like A Virgin
Jump
Interlude: Dancer Confessions
Live to Tell
Forbidden Love
Isaac
Sorry
Like It Or Not
Interlude: Sorry remix
I Love New York
Ray of Light
Let It Will Be
Drowned World/Substitute For Love
Paradise (Not For Me)
Interlude: Music/Disco Inferno (Intro)
Music Inferno (with bits of Where's The Party)
You Thrill Me/Erotica
La Isla Bonita
Lucky Star
Hung Up

I was lucky enough to meet a few Pink readers at the show ... actually, quite a lot of Pink readers ... I have to send out lots of lurve to Craig, Rob, Lisa, Shawn and everyone else who came over to say Hey. I managed to get pictures with some Pink readers as well:

I got to say hello to Rosie O'Donnell and her beautiful wife Kelli Carpenter ... and also got pics with Pink readers Lindsay, Alexis and Perry.

As if last night wasn't amazing enough ... David and I were contacted a couple of fairy godmothers named Denise and Angela who have hooked us up with front row seats for tonight's show! I'm seriously dying ... Madonna's people have been so amazing to me and I am very grateful. I can't wait to see the show again!!

OY! We had a long night last night ... and we plan on having an even longer night tonight. Woot! That is all ... I'm out.

Supermeh

Wow ... there was a lot of hoopla yesterday afternoon over the leaked nekkid Britney Spears on the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine pictures that hit the InterWeb. Thank you all for the head's up about them ... Unfortch, I hear the lawyers for Harper's Bazaar magazine are none-too-pleased with the leaked photos and are not allowing the photos to be posted. There are a few places out there that still have the photos but just in case you can't find them ... imagine the August 1991 cover of Vanity Fair featuring a pregnant Demi Moore ... throw in a little "country" and a little Sean Preston and voila:

The actual Harper's Bazaar Britney pictures are ... interesting. I suppose it was very brave for Brit Brit to go nude in the photospread when all she really wants is for the media to leave her alone. I will say, a couple of the pictures looked amazing (particularly the one where she is crouching in the black dress and the one with the netting over her face). Oh Britney, believe it or not, I do love you. Don't ever stop what you're doing! [Source]

Last night the 2006 BET Awards were held in LA and Beyonce was on hand to perform her new single Deja Vu ... and homegirl tore it up on the stage:

Beyonce looked amazing in that silver outfit ... I love the decoration on her legs and her sweet shoes ... Miss Thang looked fierce! [Source]

Unfortch, the same cannot be said for the way B looked backstage in the press room ...

... I realize she was prolly very busy before the awards but I think she could've spent a little more time taking care of her pits. Stray pit hair is tres unappealing. [Source]

Lest you think that Beyonce was the only celeb at the BET Awards, here are a few of the other celebs who showed up for the event:

The state of the upkeep of their armpits is unclear but I'm pretty sure that Rhianna knows how to keep her pits nice and smooth. Janet Jackson was lookin' pretty good (tho, I would've advised that she lighten up on the fake hair a bit). At any rate, click HERE to see full winner's list from last nights awards show ... which reairs on BET this Friday night. [Source]

Oh look, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are having a grand ol' time on their honeymoon in the South Pacific:

Well, I think that they are having a grand ol' time on their honeymoon ... Nicole does look kinda bored in that first pic. With a hottie hubby like Keith, you'd think they'd be too busy indoors to be hanging out outdoors lookin' bored. [Source]

Hee hee ... Star Jones made the surprise announcement yesterday on live TV that she has decided, after much prayer, to leave The View. There have been rumblings since last week that the announcement was coming but no one really expected it to come yesterday (especially surprised where her View costars) ... while it was Star who made the announcement about her departure, it was ABC that made the decision ... they fired her ass:

In the wake of the announcement made by Star Jones Reynolds on Tuesday that she would that she would leave The View in July, her network had a response: Leave now. Indeed, on Wednesday's program, the show's creator, Barbara Walters, said, "We didn't expect her to make this statement yesterday. She gave us no warning," then went on to explain that Jones Reynolds had known "for months" that she would not be returning in the fall, and that the network had given her time to exit the show with "dignity" ... Earlier this week, Jones Reynolds told PEOPLE exclusively, "What you don't know is that my contract was not renewed for the tenth season. I feel like I was fired." She added that she got the news just days before reports surfaced that Rosie O'Donnell -- one of her most vocal critics -- would be joining The View in the fall. BOO! Now y'all know that I am no Star Jones fan (I mean, who is?) but I was kinda looking forward to watching Star go head-to-head with Rosie O'Donnell. Ah, well ... In case you missed it, you can click HERE to watch Star try and make it sound like she is leaving of her own volition. [Source]

Barbara Walters, for her part, says that she feels betrayed by Star Jones' surprise announcement: Walters said she was taken by complete surprise when Reynolds announced her departure after the first commercial break on Tuesday. The announcement had been planned for Thursday, she said ... "I love Star and I was trying to do everything I possibly could -- up until this morning when I was betrayed -- to protect her," Walters told The Associated Press. TEAM BARBARA! My money is on Babs ... I wouldn't want to go up against that old broad. It'll be interesting to see where Star ends up ... thankfully, they're always hiring at McDonald's.

It is all about Superman these days ... check out these pictures of Brandon Routh posing with the new Superman statue at Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum in NYC yesterday afternoon:

Um, I'm not sure which one of these two is more lifeless. At least the wax statue isn't making a dorky face. Hee Hee! [Source]

Speaking of Superman, MovieFone.com is celebrating the return of Superman by envisioning which other actors in Hollywood might make good Supermen -- here are some of my faves:

The thought of Jake Gyllenhaal in that supersuit is getting me superexcited. I wouldn't mind seeing Angelina Jolie don the iconic red and blue suit. What do you think ... who do you think would make a good Superman? [Source]

Naomi Campbell is being sued by another employee for another alleged assault. Here are pictures of the Diva Supreme making her grand entrance at the courthouse earlier this week:

I love it ... Naomi always looks amazing when she shows up for these court hearings. Even tho she's smiling on the outside you just know she's dying to beat a beyotch down on the inside. [Source]

A couple of days ago I mentioned that Jessica Simpson invited TV personality Maria Menounos to appear in her video for her new single A Public Affair. Yesterday we saw pictures of Jess with her BFFs Christinas Applegate & Milian and Eva Longoria but there was no sign of Maria. It looks like Miss Menounos got the shaft ...

While the other girls were inside filming the video Maria was outside trying to find out where the party was. LOL ... poor thing. Those Hollywood snots can be so mean. [Source]

Here are a couple pictures of the Pussycat Dolls performing on Top of the Pops in England last weekend:

Eh, there's nothing really that exciting going on ... I'm just bummed that TOTP is going to be cancelled in a few short weeks and I'm trying to show some love. [Source]

Mischa Barton is a very brave woman to go out in public wearing something as ridiculous as a sailor suit ...

... I'm sorry, I meant to say that Mischa Barton is a very dumb woman to go out in public wearing this ridiculous sailor suit. LOL! [Source]

And finally, Tom Cruise is on the cover of the June issue of Arena magazine and since the poor guy hardly ever gets any press, I figured I'd post the pictures so we can all remember what he looks like:

Actually, Tom Cruise is such a publicity whore that I'm just shocked that he hasn't exploited his "baby" Suri Holmes-Cruise yet. I wouldn't be surprised if he has decided to keep "her" under wraps until he has a new movie or project to promote ... that way he has plenty of time to make sure the "baby" he grew in those Scientology science labs doesn't try and escape. [Source]

Newstime:
So ... I got to see Superman Returns last night ... and I'm about to post my review. I'm fairly certain that it will be met with some bit of criticism but, whatev, it's only a movie. To be honest, the first thing I thought once the movie was over was: "Meh! It was just OK." I have to admit, I was very excited to see this movie but not as excited as I was to see other superhero movies (X-Men, Spider-Man, Batman Begins). The thing I liked best about those movies (Batman and X-Men especially) was how "realistic" they turned out. Sure, there's no such thing as mutants (that we know of) but in the X-Men movies, they were handled with some measure of feasibility. While the Superman of Superman Returns didn't strike me as "realistic", it wasn't so much that I didn't believe in the character ... it turned out that I didn't really care about the storyline:

First, let's talk about the positives. Parker Posey as Kitty Kowalski was the best thing in this film. She steals every movie that she appears in and really was the character that I liked best in this film. Her delivery is always perfect and her comic timing is flawless. I loved Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor. He really played the evil genius with the right mix of humor and sadism. The special effects in the movie were amazing and the action scenes were really fun but I didn't think there were enough of them to give the movie the zest I was yearning for.

Overall, the whole movie is very slow ... it's sweeping ... it's epic ... and I felt it was too schmaltzy. I'm glad they put in a lot of cute references to the Superman myth (i.e. the "It's a bird, it's a plane ..." bit) but they were few and far between. Smallville handles this sort of thing much better. While the villains were lively and fun ...the heros were stiff and boring. Kate Bosworth is pretty ... but she is no Lois Lane. Margot Kidder really knew how to play Lois with the spunk and attitude required of the character. I never believed that Kate's Lois could do anything other than stare up glossy-eyed at Superman or get tossed around like a rag doll in a falling airplane. Brandon Routh, for his part, was an OK Superman, I suppose. He looks great in the outfit and, more importantly, he looks a lot like Christopher Reeve. Christian Bale's Batman had more charisma than Brandon's Superman ... and this is weird because Batman is supposed to be the more brooding hero of the two.

I didn't hate the movie ... but I didn't love it either. Personally, I found it very slow and very ... cheesey ... there was too much floating around for my taste. I like my Superman rushing into action rather than floating across rooftops. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of action and Superman does save the day a lot but ... I dunno ... it just didn't do it for me. Did anyone else think that Lois' son Jason was completely wasted as a character? I kept waiting for him to do something cool (besides the piano thing) and ... nothing. Can someone explain to me how Superman managed to have the strength to lift that entire Kryptonite continent and hurl it into space when he couldn't even stand on that same Kryptonite continent? That bit gets a big poop sandwich from me.

I'm sure many people will love this film ... and that's great. I'm not gonna lie, I'm prolly gonna see it again at the IMAX in 3D. Maybe I'll like it more the second time around?

Oy ... I've been having computer probs all day long ... I'm gonna try and get this thing fixed ... OH, and I've got a date with Madonna tonight :)

That is all ... I'm out.

Spider-Man Returns

Spider-Man ain't gonna let Superman get all the hype these days ... even tho Superman returns tonight at 12 midnight (actually, the showing of Superman Returns that I'm going to see tonight begins at 10pm) Spider-Man wants to remind us that he's been here for years ... here are a few screencaps from the new Spider-Man 3 teaser trailer:

Awww yeah ... bring it on Spidey! This trailer looks so hot! I don't know if I can wait until May 4, 2007! Click HERE to see the teaser trailer for yourself. [Source]

Here is the first of many, many Spider-Man 3 posters (both real and fan-made) that will becoming your way over the next year:

Eh ... this poster is not bad ... it's not great either. Spider-Man ain't sleepin' on Superman's day, that's for sure. [Source]

First it was Britney Spears rockin' the black dye-job, then Paris Hilton and now Spider-Man. I think I'm starting to see a trend here.
