Making Beautiful Music Together

Isn't it great when old friends come back to visit? In the case of Britney Spears and her long lost girlfriends (les boobies), they are a sight for sore eyes. Sure, they've kinda always been with her in recent months but it seems that Britney is keen on showing them off again. Here is a picture of Britney taking the girls out for a stroll in the wee hours in NYC yesterday (the second night in a row that Brit was seen going to a recording studio after midnight):

Can I just say again, for the record, Britney looks so damn happy again ... and it's a great sight to behold. Personally, I think she should've gotten rid of K-Fed ages ago (surely before they started having children together) but I'm cool with better late than never. People magazine is reporting that Brit-Brit will be making her way to Miami, FL to continue work on her next album -- where she will be getting some help from another old friend: Britney Spears plans to bid New York City farewell and head to Miami, where she'll continue working on her new album over the weekend, sources tell PEOPLE. Spears is recording her first original album since 2003's In the Zone in studios in Miami, Los Angeles and New York City. At a Louis Vuitton party in New York City on Thursday night, producer Pharrell Williams told PEOPLE he'd be helping out. Asked about upcoming projects, he said, "The stuff I’m about to do is amazing, but I don’t like talking about what I’m about to do." He paused, then said, "Okay, I’m going in with Britney." Hellz yes the news keeps getting better. As you know, Pharrell a la the Neptunes is responsible for Britney's hit songs I'm A Slave 4 U and Boys. I heard that they had a falling out after her album Britney came out. I'm glad to hear that they've patched things up and will be working together again. This album is going to rule. Trust me ... it will surely do better than #151 on the Billboard album chart. [Source]

I've been wondering what is going on with that dorky hat that Britney has been wearing every day since news of her separation from K-Fed ... it seems an odd thing to wear, especially when coupled with the nice clothes that she's been wearing. But, I'm hearing that the hat may be a message to Kevin:

Apparently, Kevin hates that hat and that is why Britney keeps wearing it out in public so that she's photographed wearing it. I'm not too fond of the hat myself but if it serves a purpose (ie. to piss of The Federline) then I'm all for it. I may have to get a hat like that myself. [Source, thanks Shelly]

I somehow doubt that Kevin's threatened tour will actually do well and I actually wouldn't be surprised if it got cancelled altogether ... but just in case there are any upcoming shows The Smoking Gun has scrounged up K-Fed's Hospitality Rider for his backstage amenities:

Considering how few tickets Kevin Federline has actually been selling on his current tour, we're surprised that Britney Spears's estranged husband has enough juice to demand anything more than tap water and a sleeve of Ritz crackers backstage. But the purported rapper, whose debut album has moved only 6500 copies, actually has a rider that requires his dressing room to be stocked with Jack Daniel's, Grey Goose vodka, a gourmet cheese tray, and aromatherapy candles. To be honest, this is a pretty benign tour rider. I half expected to find out that K-Fed requires bottles of Cristal and other such extravagant nonsense. It's too bad he didn't ask for that stuff before ... cuz he sure as shizz ain't gonna get treatment like that again for free ever again. [Source, thanks P]

Last night Jack Black, Kyle Gass and others were on hand for the Hollywood premiere of their new movie Tenacious D in "The Pick of Destiny" ... here are a few pics from the red carpet:

Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor and Kristin Cavallari were among the peeps who came out for the premiere. Thankfully, Kristin did not bring Jason Wahler as her date and I really hope she got that out of her system. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Tenacious D (or Jack Black for that matter) but Rachel and I happened upon the premiere last night since it was held at Mann's Chinese Theater right in front of the Roosevelt Hotel where she is staying. The premiere after-party was held in the Roosevelt ballroom but we didn't stick around for any of it. I get how something like Borat is funny ... I don't get how Jack Black is funny at all. [Source]

Alicia Keys and Iman hosted the Black Ball in New York City which benefited Keep a Child Alive, an organization helping people with HIV/AIDS in Africa and managed to cull together a pretty interesting mix of peeps:

Firstly, WTF?! is going on with Alicia's bangs? They're so terribly horrible that I cannot believe that she thinks they look good. But ... I suppose her bangs came out for a very good cause and that's all that matters. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes attended the event along with our fave hobbit Elijah Wood. I wonder how long TomKat will be in the country since their wedding, scheduled to take place in Italy, is only days away. [Source via Source]

Lindsay Lohan and Ashlee Simpson teamed up to help Genetic Denim celebrate their one-year anniversary at Area nightclub last night ... what's that ...? Was it actually a party?

That is so strange ... didn't Linds just tell Oprah, to her face, that she's not a party girl? Anyways ... whatevs, if Lindsay stopped partying then the world would surely cease to exist and I don't think any of us want that to happen -- Party On, Lindsay! [Source]

Here is a great pic of Lindsay holding the December issue of Paris Vogue magazine which features her "good friend" Paris Hilton on the cover:

I'm not sure if this picture was taken before or after Lindsay was videotaped calling Paris a "c*nt" (which you can see HERE) but I'm gonna guess it was taken before she got pissed off at Paris again ... but that's just a guess. Who knows, they're prolly made-up friends again by now. [Source]

Beyonce paid a little visit to MTV's TRL earlier this week ... here are a few pics:

Despite those wretched capris, she looked really cute. That's all I got. [Source]

Yesterday Nick Lachey celebrated his 33rd birthday and it turns out that his current girlfriend Vanessa Minillio also shares the same birthday ... which, incidentally, is right around the time of the anniversary of Nick and Jessica Simpson's divorce -- fun times! Here are a couple pictures of La-Nessa as they celebrated their birthday's together:

How sickeningly cute is it that they share the same birthday? I'm glad that they're still going strong. I think they make a really cute couple. [Source]

You know what else is sickeningly cute??? This picture of Brad Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt hanging out together in India playing with toy airplanes:

It looks like Brad makes a really cool dad. Love it! [Source]

You know what is just plain sickening? This terrible outfit (if you can even call it that) being modeled by our most favoritest silicone celebrity around, Victoria Beckham:

I think there is a circuit malfunction going on in Posh's robot head. Is she seriously wearing a sack that is cinched at the waste with a fancy piece of rope? See, this is why we should never let something as important as fashion fall into the hands of robots. They simply have no taste. [Source]

Pink reader Roxanne was lucky enough to attend a book party for Reichen Lemkuhl's new book Here's What We'll Say: Growing Up, Coming Out, and the U.S. Air Force Academy in Las Vegas earlier this week and she sends in this really cute picture of Reichen and boyfriend Lance Bass posing together:

They really look happy together ... and I really hope that things are cool between them because a Pink reader tells me that Leichen were spotted arguing with one another at The Abbey on Tuesday night here in West Hollywood and then splitting up for the night. I sincerely hope there isn't trouble in paradise -- they're prolly the most high-profile gay couple right now and I'd hate for them to be dunzo already. [thanks Roxanne]

Pink reader Hong-Van sends in these great pics of Seann William Scott on the set of a new movie, called Gary the Tennis Coach, that he is shooting at McNeil High School in Austin, Texas:

Hmm ... I kinda love the porn 'stache and short shorts combo. Is that wrong? [thanks Hong-Van]

And finally, the new trailer for Spider-man 3 was released last night and here are a few screencaps:

Personally, I liked the teaser trailer much more. This one, tho longer, doesn't have as much OOMPH as the teaser trailer does. Nonetheless ... I'm really excited for this movie! [Source]

Les News:
Last night was another late night ... but it was worth it since I was hanging out with a whole bunch of really cool ass friends. I love having Rachel here in town and the more we hang out the more I wish we lived closer that we could hang out more. I met up with Rachel, Chris, Dodge, Matt and Caesar at their hotel before we all made our way to the Cat & Fiddle for dinner. We then met up with a bunch of their friends (Justin and Melissa) and there I was ... in the midst of a bunch of music bloggers having a great time. I love how all these guys are really good friends with one another. Music blogging is a world unto itself ... but the camaraderie that they share is admirable. I'm glad I got to meet these guys. After dinner, which ran late because there were so many people, we made our way to Element for the Zune release party:

Once again ... we had a blast together. Lady Sovereign randomly showed up and I managed to get a picture with her. When Rachel told her I was a blogger she gave me a look of disgust, then a hug and then she bit my nipple (which is why I'm kinda screaming in our picture). I also got to meet Pink readers Sara and Tiffany at the soiree.

The Cobrasnake was in the house and, of course, took some fab pics:

As always, I think it's an honor to get shot by him. [Source]

We had so much fun ... but sadly Rachel is going back home to Memphis, TN this afternoon. It was so great having her in town ... hopefully I'll get to see her again soon.

Another weekend is upon us ... I hope y'all have a great one. I'm out.
