Super Bowl

Britney Spears and her mother Lynne Spears spent some time this week doing a little shopping in West Hollywood with her interior decorator in tow ... oh yeah, she decided to drag little Sean Preston along as well:

Hahahahha, I love how they are rockin' the lollis. UGH ... the girl is an utter mess. Why do I love her so? Why??? [Source]

Okay ... so please tell me that you caught yesterday's episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show ... now, I don't make it a habit of watching Oprah unless she's got a really good show goin' on (like this afternoon's episode, the cast of Brokeback Mountain will guest on the show) but I had to watch yesterday's show. Oprah did a complete 180 and went from being author James Frey's #1 supporter to being his #1 detractor. She brought him on the show to have him answer some tough questions about the fabrications and lies that fill his "memoir" A Million Little Pieces:

My problem with all of this mess is that it really seems as if he embellished the truth in order to sell more books. I commend him, or anyone, for helping other people who suffer from addiction but he should have been honest about the whole thing. A fiction novel based on a true story could have been just as effective. I contend that calling something a memoir and then grossly exaggerating and lying throughout the entire text is just wrong -- and extremely misleading. I realize Oprah is not the end all be all, but she felt lied to and I think she was right to go on the record and own up to her mistake. James Frey should have done the same thing. In case you missed it, you can click HERE to watch a vid clip from the show or you can click HERE to read Gawker's live blogging post on the show. You could tell that Oprah was PISSED and she wanted Mr. Frey to have to squirm on national TV for the full hour because of her embarrassment for supporting him and his book for so long. Yeah, it don't pay to cross Oprah Winfrey. I fully expect that the semi-glib publisher lady who appeared on the show to be fired sometime soon, don't be surprised if Oprah makes her "disappear". Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have arrived in Switzerland for the UN World Economic Forum ... the pair did their best to try and sneak into the country unnoticed ... they failed miserably:

I love how they went for the spy-chic look. Dressing like a secret agent is surprisingly very noticeable. [Source]

Or maybe they were just playing dress up ...

Brangelina strike me as X-Files fans. [Source]

In any regard, they were dressed nice and normal at the UN Forum thingie:

Angelina's stomach is really starting to show like a mothereffer. She looks bigger than Katie Holmes does and Katie has been pregs for 6 years now. [Source]

In other United Nations news, Nicole Kidman has been appointed the latest UN Goodwill Ambassador:

Surely Nicole will step up to the plate to faithfully fulfill this very serious duty, no matter how many t-shirts they throw her way. Best of luck, Nicky. [Source, Source]

Well, well, well, well ... Page Six is reporting that Miss Jessica Simpson was spotted sneaking out of the Chateau Marmont hotel after spending some quality time with Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine ... and here are the pictures to go along with the story:

"She was picked up by her best friend, Cacee Cobb, that morning," our snitch tattled. Simpson's rep has steadfastly shot down rumors of a romance with the skirt-chasing singer in the past. Oh whatEVER, she should just come out with it already ... we know that she's lookin' to get all hot and heavy since her breakup with hubby Nick Lachey. [Source]

I mean, you don't just go out on the town lookin' like this ...

... without trying to get some attention ... perhaps from eligible bachelors ... like Adam Levine? Good for her, I'm glad to see that she hasn't given up after all ... go nuts Jessy ... you're fun to watch. [Source]

I mean with so much going on in Jessica's life ...

... it must be hard for her to keep track of all her options. Consider them carefully, Jess. [Source]

Oh hell no ... oh no way this is cool ... just what the hellz does Sophia Bush think she's doing here???

Hmmm ... it's very convenient that the Chad Michael-Murray cast off happened to run into Jake Gyllenhaal and his baby dogs. Just look at her ... trying to feign interest in his dogs ... alls I know is she needs to back away from the Jakey poo or we gon' have a problem. Walk on honey ... walk on. [Source]

Damn! I've seen some ugly things in my time ... but I ain't seen ugly until I saw these shoes ... who in the world would be tacky enough to actually wear them in public?

Sadly, you shouldn't be surprised to see who Miss Fugly turns out to be. [Source]

Aww, it's a good thing Paris Hilton has hightailed it out of Park City, Utah ... it appears that she has worn out her welcome:

Wow, and I thought the Filmpunks loved everyone. [Source]

Check out these recent pictures of Janet Jackson leaving a sushi restaurant after having lunch with a friend:

Damn ... the poor girl looks like she's completely thrown in the towel. Bummer. [Source]

Kanye West appears on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine looking like Jesus and he appears inside the magazine looking like Muhammad Ali:

He, uh, looks ... really ridiculous. I think Homie needs to seriously chill the eff out. Click HERE to read a large portion of the RS cover story, if you are so inclined. [Source]

ATTENTION: PROJECT RUNWAY SPOILER ALERT WARNING

And finally, I was able to catch this week's episode of Project Runway last night after my DVR failed to record it Wednesday night. Can I just say HALLELUJAH that Zulema got the boot this week! I just *knew* that she was gonna get axed after being such a biatch to the models at the beginning of the show. Yes, as the winner she had the right to change models but forcing a "walk off" was just overdramatic bullshizz ... not that I'm complaining necessarily, cuz it was kinda fun to watch. But I just knew that Zulema was talking too much ... and that she would end up paying for it in the end:

I am a huge Daniel V. fan and I think he did a great job using his inspirational photo to create a cool-looking dress. I really liked Nick's design as well. Jay McCarroll is turning into a pompous ass ... I found him especially annoying judging this challenge. I feel so bad for Tara the model ... she got saddled with Zulema and will prolly end up going home next week. I don't think Daniel V. will ditch his model for her. Dang, this show is getting so goooooood. I am always amazed at the designs that get concocted in the short time frame allowed. I couldn't sew a button on a shirt let alone come up with an entirely new design AND create the damn thing. Watching this show is so infectious. Incidentally, for a brief moment in the end I thought that maybe Kara would be the one sent home ... her design was so plain, I'm glad she survived this round. I like her too ... I don't want to see her get sent home for creating a boring piece. [Source]

Newstime:
I had so much fun last night judging the Grande Finale of BD's Mongolian BBQ Best Bowl Challenge! I still cannot believe the folks at BD's asked me to judge the competition but you KNOW I wasn't gonna turn down such a fun opportunity. I got to judge the 24 top bowls alongside Billy Downs (the man behind BD's Mongolian BBQ), Sandy Hermanoff (the president of Hermanoff & Associates and *the* coolest lady I've met in a long time) and Chuck Bennett (the man behind The-Real-Scoop.com). You would think that tasting 24 different bowls of stir fry would get tedious ... I can assure you, it was not. All of the recipes were sooo good. But, in the end, there could only be one winner ... the grand champion was the bowl named Peanut Envy created by Jerod Karam of Okemos, MI. Check out some pictures from last night's event:

I cannot fully convey how fun last night was ... it was a full-on party with great people and lots of really amazing food. Everyone involved was so cool ... I really had the best time. [thanks Jason]

If you are lucky enough to live near a BD's Mongolian BBQ and you'd like to try the winning recipe just follow these instructions and have at it:

Peanut Envy

3 tongs of chicken
1 tong of sprouts
1 tong of snap peas
1 tong of water chestnuts
2 ladles of peanuts
1 spoon of chili garlic
1 spoon of chopped garlic
3 spoons of mixed nuts
1 spoon of chili spice

If you are interested in my personal fave recipe then I'll provide it as well ... it doesn't have an official name but I tend to call it ...

Shrimpy Magnificance

3 tongs of shrimp
3 tongs of spiral noodles
1 1/2 tongs of pea pods
2 ladles of lemon juice
1 ladle of red wine
1 spoon of lemon pepper
1 spoon of garlic
1 smidge of dill

Man, I'm hungry again ... I might have to take the folks out for dinner this weekend. Anyways, I have send out much love to Jason (my dawg), Lakeila and Casey from Hermanoff & Associates. Thank you so much for everything! I also have to send out pink love to Mr. Billy Downs ... he is such a down guy and a total blast to be around ... also much love goes out to my fellow judges Sandy Hermanoff and Chuck Bennett.

OY! The weekend is already upon us ... here's hopin' it's a good one for y'all!

I am out.
