Hack The Planet!!!!!

OY! Can I just tell you how harrowing yesterday evening/late last night/early this morning was for me? At around 4:30ish PM PT yesterday someone was able to hijack the URL trent.blogspot.com and point it to a blank Blogger spammy profile page and I about lost my shizz. I wasn't home at the time and when I finally got to my computer (after a very satisfying trip to Target, I might add) I was bombarded with a lot of emails and a site that wasn't working. Long story short, none of my data was lost and some unknown SAVIOR at Blogger/Google managed to fix the problem and give me back control of my URL sometime between 9:30 and 11 PM PT.

Then this morning, all Blogger sites were down for about 2 hours for scheduled maintenance ... which didn't make life any easier. Eventually the site came back online ... but then my ability to post was hindered by a message that told me that Blogger was still down for maintenance. BUT ... things are finally back to normal, all's right with the world ... and let's get to it ...

The announcement that the world has been waiting for was finally made this morning ... Steve Jobs, president of Apple Computers, announced the release of the next generation iPod which also doubles as a phone ... not surprisingly enough, it's been dubbed the iPhone:

Apple Computer CEO Steve Jobs confirmed months of speculation Tuesday by unveiling a new mobile phone and a set-top box that allows people to stream video from their computers to their televisions. Jobs said Apple's iPhone would "reinvent" the telecommunications sector and "leapfrog" past the current generation of hard-to-use smart phones. "Every once in a while a revolutionary product comes along that changes everything," he said during his keynote address at the annual Macworld Conference and Expo. "It's very fortunate if you can work on just one of these in your career. ... Apple's been very fortunate in that it's introduced a few of these" ... Both devices liberate media from the computer, allowing people to enjoy digital files without being chained to a desktop or laptop. "It's really, really easy to use," Jobs told the crowd at San Francisco's Moscone Center before demonstrating the system with a video clip of "The Good Shepherd. It's got the processing horsepower to do the kinds of things we like to do." There aren't a lot of specific deets that I can find right now ... the iPhone will be available for Cingular users first (YES!) but no price or release date has been announced. You best believe I'm gonna be getting one of these amazing phones. I'm anxious to see if they are going to release the new version of the video iPod using the same technology in the iPhone ... I've been itching for an upgrade. Woot! Who says you have to outgrow the love of toys? [Source]

Britney Spears spent some time this past weekend sunning her buns on a boat here in Southern Cali with a mysterious-looking dude (some say he looks like K-Fed) and here are the pics:

You gotta admit, her raggedy hair looks much nicer when she's doesn't have all of that fake hair sewed into it. The girl ... ugh ... she's a bit of a mess but there's still hope ... right? [Source]

OF COURSE THERE'S HOPE ... all we have to do is look to Jamie Lynn Spears to save us all:

You just know that a girl who looks so sweet an innocent as JL does in this new photoshoot could never grow up to do us wrong like big sis Britney did ... right?! [Source]

Justin Timberlake kicked off his FutureSex/LoveShow tour in San Diego, CA last night and here are a couple of pics from the show:

JT was lookin' pretty pimp in that white suit ... I've been staying away from tour spoilers because I'm off to see the show for myself tonight. P!nk is opening and I understand she'll be doing that acrobatic stuff on stage that she's been doing in her European shows. Head on over to The Big Bad Blog to check out more pictures from JT's tour opener last night. [Source, Source]

Wax statues of Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt along with celebs like Rosanne Barr, Dermot Mulroney and more were on hand for the Hollywood premiere of the new movie narrated by Nicole Kidman, God Grew Tired of Us ... and here are a few pics from the red carpet:

Oh wait ... those aren't wax statues of Brangelina ... they're just wearing way too much makeup. Ew, the stuff looks at least a few inches thick on Brad's face -- even Nicole looks freaked out by it. Um, when did Roseanne Barr start going to things like this again? And what the hell happened to Dermot Mulroney?! I really hope he looks like that because he's working on a movie ... cuz if he has just let himself go then it's a damn shame. [Source]

At the movie after party, Brad Pitt met up with his Fight Club co-star Edward Norton and they didn't look awkward at all:

I'm pretty sure Ed was just freaked out by all that pancake powder on Brad's face, too. [Source]

The West Hollywood "It" place to be seen while dining, The Ivy, has had a pretty good run of celebs this week so far (and it's only Tuesday) ... behold:

And there's Roseanne Barr again ... please tell me that she's lookin' to become a Hollywood "It" Girl and will soon be seen partying with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. Tho, if we ever have to deal with crotch shot photos of Roseanne I might have to just end it all right then and there -- ::Shudder:: [Source]

Yesterday afternoon, Hilary Swank became the 2325th person to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame ... and she didn't get it after she won her first Oscar, and she didn't get it after she won her second Oscar ... she got it on the promo tour for her new movie Freedom Writers:

"I remember my mom using a roll of quarters to call agents from a pay phone and telling agents they should sign me," said the emotional 32-year-old during the dedication ceremony. Swank, wearing a sophisticated black sleeveless dress, was flanked by producer Joel Silver and Richard LaGravenese, the director of her new film "Freedom Writers" ... Her star is the 2325th on the Walk of Fame. I like Hilary ... I think her star is well-deserved (much more than, say, the Olsen twins) and I send her much congrats. In other news, she has confirmed that she is happily involved with a new man in a new romantic relationship: Hilary Swank, who split from actor-husband Chad Lowe a year ago, has a new man in her life. "I'm in a relationship with a great guy who's not a public person, and I want to respect that. But yes, I am in a relationship," the Oscar-winning actress says in an interview in the February issue of In Style magazine, on newsstands Friday. That guy, according to the magazine, is her agent, John Campisi. Interesting ... with divorcees they always eventually end up with the divorce lawyer ... with actors, they end up with their agents. Hurray for Hollywood! [Source]

Well now ... lookie here ... a new picture of Nicole Richie and Joel Madden arriving in Mexico for a little holiday together in Cabo San Lucas:

Things must really be getting serious for these two ... how else can you explain THIS? I suppose I should come up with a name for these two ... NiJo? Nic-oel? Good Harlot? Yeah, I'll think on it some more. [Source]

In other possible new couple news, it seems that Nicole's ex DJ AM is gettin' pretty cozy with Mandy Moore:

Perhaps they fell under love's sway while shopping together for atrocious sweaters? [Source]

Kate Middleton is becoming quite the popular girl in England with the paparazzi ... rumors continue to swirl that she will wed Prince William some time this year (July 19th is the latest rumored date) and now she can't go anywhere without a cadre of paps following her around:

I wonder if she's ready to become the new "Princess Di" for the new millennium. I kinda like her with Prince Wills ... they make a cute couple and she seems nice enough. I guess we'll see if she can handle the scrutiny and successfully transition into the Royal Family without incident. [Source]

Lord have mercy ... can someone please explain to me why Lil' Kim owns no mirrors:

Bonus points to the person who can also explain those eyebrows to me. [Source]

Here is a picture of Avril Lavigne shooting the cover artwork for her new album The Best Damn Thing:

How much you wanna bet that the album will not live up to its name. [Source]

Here are a few more pics of the stuff that Whitney Houston is trying to unload in order to make a few bucks to pay off her storage fees:

Those head things are awfully scary but I totes love that Gold Album award that was given to Tommy Brown (Bobby's brother/manager) for the gold-selling Bobby Brown single Humping Around. That shizz is DOPE! I'd pay $45 for it. [Source]

Here are a few outtake photos of Hayden Panettiere's most recent photo shoot for Entertainment Weekly:

Yeah, she makes a pretty hot cheerleader. [Source]

If it's one thing I've learned in all of my travels, it's never to get on the wrong side of a seemingly soft-spoken emo boy ... cuz there is all sorts of pent-up agro-ness just waiting to bust out ... take for example, Pete Wentz ... here is a video of the emo rocker going apeshizz and beating the hell out of someone at a recent concert stop:

I'm not entirely sure what caused all of this mayhem (something about FOB's security guard getting attacked by venue security) but after Pete got out of the melee he yelled out "that's what you get for fucking with my friends ... fucking asshole!" so ... yeah, you've been warned ... don't mess with him or his friends. [Source, thanks Linda]

And finally ... please indulge me one moment to celebrate the DVD release of the amazing and groundbreaking 70's sitcom Maude which starred a pre-Golden Girls Bea Arthur:

I won't really get into the specifics about why I love this show so much but I post this info for those of you who can appreciate my excitement at this news. Now I'm off to do a happy dance in my living room. [Source]

Les News:
Ugh ... I'm so wiped from all the hacker drama ... I am going to get off the comp for a while. Tonight I'm off to Anaheim for the Justin Timberlake concert so I'll do my best to have a full report tomorrow.

No more hacking and no more maintenance, please. Thanks!

I'm out.
