The Joke's On Us

Britney Spears, apparently, found an airplane that had leather seats because she managed to finally make her way to Florida for her latest Comeback Concert series performance in Orlando last night. According to Pink reader Heather, whose room mate was on the United Airways plane Friday with Britney, Miss Spears decided to delay the flight to Florida because she was on a plane that didn't have leather seats. Here's the full scoop from Heather:

[My room mate] was sitting in Economy Plus and of course Britney was in First Class ... but the door to get on and off the plane was in Economy Plus. So a friend of the people sitting close to my roomie had upgraded herself to sit in First Class and apparently was seated right behind Britney. And YUP - it's true ... Britney in so many words stated, "F**K this, I'm not riding on a plane without leather seats." So she had the flight attendants tell the pilot to take the plane back to the gate. As Brit and her friends waited to exit the plane, by the door ... a couple passengers tried to take pictures of her standing there. In retaliation to those people's cameras and flashes ... Brit pulled a camera out of her pocket and started making it flash back at the people in the plane. Yeah, this sounds like very ridiculous behavior on Britney's part ... but it would seem that she ended up eventually finding a suitable plane to meet her needs. [Source]

So anyways, Pink readers Allison and Jacob were both in the hiz last night and report that, despite a minorly major technical malfunction, Britney managed to pull her shizz together and put on a great performance. Here are a few pics from last night's show at the House of Blues in Orlando, FL:

Allison writes: I just got home from the Britney show at the HOB in Orlando! I'm still on cloud 9! She did such a fantastic job! She looked AMAZING! She wore all the same outfits I'd seen in the pictures of the first show. My friend Ash and I were just SO excited to be there! She was wearing that ridiculously huge mic again but she actually had to use it. Her song skipped really badly during Do Something and she just smiled, giggled, and sang over the track ... she totally saved it! I was so excited we got to be the first crowd to really HEAR her sing! She sounded perfect! She really looked so happy to be there and gave much love to the crowd! Jacob adds: 70 people were in line at 9 AM this morning so they could get the front row. I didn't show up until 6 PM due to work, I was probably behind 400 people. The concert was sold out and there were at least 1,000 people behind me. I was about 15 feet from the stage. She came out in the normal get up and the extensions are so much better than the wigs! She looked fab. She ran off to change for "Do Something", This is where the good part comes in. The track started skipping! The lip syncing was revealed!! It kept skipping randomly. She was a master at playing it off, turning her back to the audience and shaking her ass so you couldn't see her mouth not matching the song. She then just turned around and had this huge grin (Seriously, she looks amazing). She just laughed and danced more with her back up dancers. THEN THEY TURNED THE MIC ON! SHE WAS SINGING! She sounded amazing. Then "Toxic" came on to reveal a new outfit, this little glittery number that was so hot. She got tired towards the end but still looked amazing. Obvs, both Allison and Jacob had a great time -- and really, these performances are strictly for fans ... I am jealous of the both of them, I've yet to see Brit perform any of these shows. I think it's awesome that Brit Brit had the novel idea to actually sing when her music track started messing up ... imagine that. Wouldn't it be amazing if she actually started singing live for all performances from now on? Whoa ... yeah, let's not get too wrapped up in crazy talk ... but seriously, I am glad these shows are going a long way to keep her fans happy. Haters be damned, it sounds like she's having a blast with these shows. [Source]

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End had its worldwide premiere at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA yesterday afternoon and all of the principle stars were in attendance ... well, except for Keira Knightley. Disneyland got overrun by pirates and the park was transformed for the premiere ... here are a few pics from yesterday's event:

Since Kiera wasn't there I decided to throw in a cute pic of Natalie Maines (from the Dixie Chicks) because she's my girl and I heart her. Johnny Depp was lookin' pretty good ... you can tell that he is still thrilled that his daughter's health is doing so well. Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush round out the big names who showed up for the premiere (but a whole slew of other celebs came out for the premiere as well). They erected a huge video projection screen in the middle of the fake lake in Frontierland (where the Pirates of the Caribbean ride is) and the movie was premiered there. You may recall that they actually sold tickets to the premiere for $1,500. each with all the proceeds going to charity. While I'm not sure that they managed to provide $1,500. worth of entertainment for the money, it does sound like they did offer a lot. Pirates opens next weekend ... and you can bet I'll be there. Elsewhere in LA land, KROQ threw its annual Weenie Roast y Fiesta festival concert at the Verizon Amphitheater in Irvine, CA all day yesterday bringing out bands like 30 Seconds to Mars, Social Distortion, Silversun Pickups, The Bravery and more ... here are a few pics from the show yesterday:

The line-up this year was amazing ... Korn even came out to play the Weenie Roast this year. Tim Armstrong of Rancid (whose new song Into Action is ruling KROQ these days) also played the fest yesterday and managed to bring out a very special guest to perform with him ... [Source]

... as you may or may not know, my girl from Toronto, CA Skye Sweetnam sings back-up vocals on Tim's song Into Action and she flew out to LA yesterday to perform the song live at the Weenie Roast yesterday ... here is the full video of the performance:

I love it! The song totally rules and I love that Skye is on it. I can't wait for Skye to put out some new music already ... and actually, she's looking for new band members so if you're interested you can head over to her official My Space page and get the deets. [thanks Jordan]

So, apparently there was a big soccer game in the UK this weekend ... so big, in fact, that Prince William had to come out and see it for himself. The FA Cup Finals took place at Wembley Stadium between Chelsea and Manchester United and, unfortch for Cristiano Ronaldo, Chelsea emerged victorious:

Now, I admit that I don't know shizz about soccer but I do know that the championship game didn't sound very exciting ... the whole thing came down to one single goal in overtime and then it was over. Eh, an unsexy victory is a victory nonetheless. It's a shame that Cristiano had to cap off a banner year for him personally with this tough loss. It's okay, I'd prolly cry too. [Source]

In other soccer news, Pete Doherty (along with his band Babyshambles) and Kate Moss were on hand at the West Ham United Football Club today for the Soccer Six Celebrity Soccer Game (along with other British musicians like Razorlight, 5ive, Liberty X and more) and here are a couple pics:

I'm sorry, Pete looks hilarious in his soccer kit ... not even his girlfriend Kate can keep a straight face while he wears that getup. Ah well, it's all for charity so I guess it's okay for him to look like a tool. [Source]

Here are a few pics from an impromptu photoshoot that Lindsay Lohan did at the Coachella music festival a few weeks ago for photographer Andrew Haagen:

I love her facial expressions, she looks like she's not really that into it ... but it works cuz jaded is so hip right now. [Source]

Uh oh ... it looks like Harvey Dent's political campaign for District Attorney has been met with some resistance in Gotham City. Someone has been defacing the campaign posters that have been posted all over town:

It's unclear who the jokester is that is defiling his campaign posters ... [Source]

... but a new website called IBelieveInHarveyDentToo.com has sprung up that may provide some clues as to who's behind this mischief.

And here is our first official look at Heath Ledger as The Joker:

Warner Bros. is very smart to get the viral internet campaign for the movie The Dark Knight going so early. I will do my best to keep on top of new developments as they occur in Gotham City ... it looks like we're going to be getting some very cool stuff in the months leading up to the film's release. [Source]

And finally, it's time for the Hot Dude of the Week. Summa summa summatime is just around the corner ... and when the temps. rise, the clothes come off ... natch. So let's all say hello to Kyle:

I know when I have a hot pair of boxers that I am very proud of, I can't wait to drop trou and show them off ... that must be what's going on with Kyle ... not that I mind a bit. I am very much looking forward to the coming summer months ... one can never have too much hotness. [Source]

Les News:
Yesterday, David and I spent the entire day hanging out with Adriana. We met up with her to help her pick out a new couch for her new place and then spent the rest of the day shopping at the Beverly Center and then around Pasadena. Last night we had an amazing Afghani dinner at a place in Pasadena called Azeen's ... I am telling you, it was absolutely delish!

We were supposed to make a cameo at a friend's birthday party but in the end just couldn't make it. I hope to be able to make it up to her. I'm not sure what we're doing today ... I believe we're having dinner with our friend Gillian ... but ah, it's a great lazy Sunday ... I'm sure we'll find some way to keep ourselves entertained.

I hope y'all are having a great day ... I am out.
