Our Lips Are Sealed

Woot! Woot! I ain't got nuthin' but good Britney Spears news today, which I'm sure the Britney faithful will be very happy to hear (and despite what all the haters would like people to believe, there are a lot of faithful folks out there). First up, I am ecstatic to update one of the Britney items from yesterday's post ... her new single Gimme More has been making a lot of noise on the iTunes downloads charts, coming in yesterday at #3 on the song chart and #1 on the ringtones chart. Today, I'm happy to report that the song sits right at #1 on both charts:

I like to think that a bunch of Pink is the new Blog readers logged on and downloaded Gimme More from iTunes after yesterday's post and had a lot to do with the song going to #1. You will note that Kanye West is ranked at #3 on the song chart. I bet he's real happy about that. I can't wait to hear him bitching about it on TV. Anyways, much congrats to Britney on this great achievement ... I suspect that this is but the first of many #1s to come. [Source]

In other positive news, the official website for Britney's newest fragrance Believe has been updated with some new information (for example, did you know that the triangular shaped, peridot colored bottle is multifaceted to represent Britney's many beliefs?) and a couple of extras for download. This new image has been added to the site and can be downloaded as computer wallpaper:

I love this pic. It's a great reminder of the Britney Spears that we all know and love (most probably because the photo was prolly dug up from her image archives since it looks like it was taken about 3 years ago [despite what the folks at Elizabeth Arden cosmetics claim]) and gives me hope and makes me BELIEVE that she still has a chance to have success again in her future. Woot! Can I just say how amazing it is to have only good things to talk about regarding our dear Britney? I don't even know what I'd do with myself if this practice became a normal, everyday occurrence. [Source]

In other fragrance news (you know, cuz we can never have enough celebrity fragrance news), Paris Hilton thinks there is a market for her to release another perfume that no one prolly has any interest in buying ... most likely because she just wanted to be featured in a new photoshoot. Here is our first look at the promo artwork for the new fragrance Can Can by Paris Hilton:

Meh. I'm not sure who this perfume (or any other Paris Hilton perfume) is targeted for. I have a hard time believing that grown women would be interested in smelling like Paris Hilton (or any other Hollywood "It" Girl celebrity fragrance for that matter, Britney included) so it must be meant for kids ... who want to be and smell like Paris Hilton ... shudder. Whatev, I'm stickin' with my support of Shania Starlight. It may be a cheap perfume but at least it don't smell like Paris Hilton's can can. [Source]

Hilary Duff is celebrating her 20th birthday today (altho, she prolly got the party started last week when her current boyfriend Mike Comrie gave her a Mercedes SUV as an early birthday gift) and decided to share the celebration with a few celebrity friends at the Pacific Design Center here in LA for the 2007 Spirit of Life Dinner ... here are a few pics:

The Spirit of Life dinner benefits City of Hope which is a biomedical research and treatment institution dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer. Hilary partied with her friends Miley "I'm not having sex until I'm married" Cyrus and the very overcooked-looking Jesse McCartney who looks like he has a serious case of Zac Efron-envy (hence the overdoneness courtesy of his friendly neighborhood tanning salon). I love that, at the ripe old age of 20, Hilary Duff is choosing to celebrate her birthday in such a positive manner. I can't think of a better cause for her to support and I wish her all the best. Happy Birthday, Hil!! [Source]

Elsewhere in LA last night, Hayden Panettiere played hostess at an event for Declare Yourself (the national nonpartisan, nonprofit campaign to energize and empower every eligible 18-year-old in America to register and vote in the 2008 presidential election ) at the Wallis Annenberg Cultural Center in Beverly Hills ... here are a few pics from that red carpet:

Hayden's new shadow Kristen Bell was in the hiz along with Justin Timberlake. Again, I'm pretty impressed that young stars like Hayden, Kristen and JT are affiliating themselves with this sort of organization which, I'm sure, will go a long way in inspiring other young people to get involved as well. Tho, I bet sometimes (good cause or not) Hayden wishes she could go to an event and not have to have the new girl tag along ;) [Source]

Over in London, Vicki B. promptly arrived from Japan (strangely enough, with a bottle of champagne in tow) to be with her husband David Beckham as they await word on Becks' father Ted Beckham's condition after his heart attack. Here is a pic of Posh boarding her jet in Japan (note the bottle of booze carried by her handler) and then a pic of Becks and Posh as they made their way to the hospital where Daddy Beckham is being treated:

Three days after suffering a life-threatening heart attack, David Beckham's father, Ted, is on the road to recovery. The 59-year-old gas fitter's condition was described as "stable" as he regained consciousness and began talking from his bed. Both David and Victoria Beckham are understood to have been with him when he uttered his first words at the London Chest Hospital following a near fatal heart attack on Wednesday evening. After flying in from LA and Japan respectively, the couple spent two-and-a-half hours at his bedside before leaving the hospital in the 32-year-old footballer's 4 x 4, followed by a marked police van. With a long term prognosis still not clear, the Mail can reveal Beckham has been given "compassionate leave" by his new club, LA Galaxy. The England star, who signed to the US side for £128 million earlier this year, has told officials he intends to stay with his father "for as long as it takes". Similarly, the 33-year-old Spice Girl has postponed all outstanding promotional duties - risking the wrath of her big money sponsors - until her father-in-law has been given the all-clear. The mother-of-three arrived in London in the early hours of the morning, after a gruelling 24 hour journey from Japan. I think it should go without saying that both Becks and Posh would be staying in London until Daddy Beckham fully recovers. I know I give Posh a bit of grief for looking like an unemotional, inanimate robotic cyborg completely devoid of the spark of life but it seems very clear that she does have emotions and that she would do anything, drop anything to be a source of comfort should her family need it. I'm confident that things will work out for the Beckhams ... they've got a lot of people pulling for a full recovery. [Source]

Elsewhere in London, Kimberly StEWWWart was photographed making her way into and then out of a Playboy magazine party which was held at Sketch nightclub (how apropros) last night ... the unfortunate-looking lass opted for a low cut black dress so that she could show off her significantly misproportioned breasts:

Now, I know that she had her fake breasts removed a couple of years ago (and then had them framed for hanging on Jack Osbourne's bedroom wall) but I was unaware that she decided to put just the one back in. I'm not sure if she's trying to make the mismatched boobs look a new thing but ... I'm not a fan. Blech. [Source]

In Milan, for Fashion Week, Rihanna hung up her umbrella and took the stage as a model in the DSquared fashion show this week ... here are a few pics of Ri Ri lookin' all faboo on the catwalk:

Now Rihanna is a beautiful sight to behold (and her boobs are the same size and everything!). I would love to see her do more modeling in the future, she rarely looks bad (er, that is unless she's wearing pleather lace-lined tutus on the concert stage ... cuz that's just ew) and clearly knows how to work it on the runway. In NYC, Louis Vuitton threw a little shindig in celebration of Wes Anderson and his new movie The Darjeeling Limited at La Grenouille Resaurant last night. Here are a few pics from that par-tay:

As strange as it may sound, a 10-piece set of Louis Vuitton luggage co-stars with Jason Schwartzman, Owen Wilson and Adrien Brody in the film, so it seems very natural that LV would want to throw a party for the movie. I'm a fan of the movie (loved it) and a fan of LV (really love it ... in fact, I own those ridiculous orange and red LV sneaker boots that Adrien is wearing in the second pic) so of course I have to mention this little affair. I'm just bummed I wasn't in town to attend :( I imagine that gift bags from a Louis Vuitton party are pretty swank ... especially the "bag" part. The Darjeeling Limited opens in NYC tomorrow and then wider in subsequent weeks. [Source]

Elsewhere in NYC, production on the new Sex and the City movie continues as new reports of in-fighting among the principle stars of the movie (most specifically betwixt Sarah Jessica Parker [the main star] and Kim Cattrall [the wannabe main star]) have begun to surface which, if the reports are to be believed, is causing strife on the set of the week old production:

Put four feisty women on a set and what do you get? Catfights and handbags at dawn, of course. When news of the impending Sex And The City movie broke, women and gay men everywhere were waving their Manolos in the air and jumping with joy. But now it's reported in-fighting is threatening to halt filming. Last week Kim, 51, stormed out of a reunion party in New York's Butter restaurant in a huge huff. A source said: "Kim and Sarah had words and obviously something was said that upset Kim and she just stormed out. It's well known the girls are all quite feisty and opinionated. Everyone else at the party seemed quite embarrassed and shocked." Just this week Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte, reportedly had to separate the girls after Kim shouted at Sarah for fluffing her lines and stealing her shoes. An insider revealed: "Kim wanted to wear a pair of red heels and picked them out from wardrobe especially, but then Sarah apparently swept in and took them, much to Kim's disgust." Tension between the pair is said to behind delays in the movie, due for release next year, and producers fear for the film's future if the spat continues. The insider said: "By the end of the TV series they could barely be civil to each other. But both women are top professionals and won't let this get in the way of their jobs. They know the Sex And The City movie is a huge money-spinner and a great way to wave goodbye to their characters, and each other, for good." Filming of the big screen version of the cult wildly successful Sex and the City television show started earlier this week, after a deal was sealed between feuding actresses Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall. Oh c'mon ... are we seriously supposed to believe that the fighting has gotten so bad that the fate of the movie is already in jeopardy? I don't know that I really believe that ... altho, the ladies in question were known to argue quite a lot when the TV show was ending its run ... and it did take a looooong time for these women to come to an understanding about making a movie (Kim Cattrall was the lone hold-out for so long). Okay ... there *may* be a grain of truth to these reports ... but this movie will be made, one way or another, but the storyline that takes place on the set of the movie in real life might come to overshadow the one that plays out on the big screen. [Source]

Also in NYC, People magazine threw a little party to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the much-beloved TV gameshow The Wheel of Fortune ... here are a couple pics of Pat Sajak and Vanna White at last night's event:

I suppose much congrats are in order ... Pat Sajak made it cool to publicly insult gameshow contestants to their faces without them even knowing about it and Vanna White made it cool for girl's to spell words (but only if they looked amazing in their designer gowns) ... what's not to celebrate?! Here's to 25 more years of the Wheel! [Source]

Okay ... so I think I finally have the real skinny on the identity of this mysterious man posing in this photo with Lance Bass. Apparently, according to a few different Pink readers, his name is Ben and he went to the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, GA:

It is my understanding that Ben confided to some friends that he and Lance have been dating for some time (at least a month now) which would put some overlap (or at least very close proximity) with Lance's relationship with Pedro Whatshisname. Another Pink reader was lucky enough to hang out with Lance and Ben in NYC this past week and can confirm that Ben really likes to "party" and that Lance and Ben were "all over each other" for much of the night. Interesting. According to THIS website, Ben lives in NYC and is a production assistant with photographer Arthur Elgort. A-ha! So now we know quite a bit about the lad ... and now we wait to see if they will be photographed together again sometime soon. [Source, thanks Paul, Amanda and Eric]

Here is a look at all 15 contestants who will appear on the new season of Project Runway when it debuts on Wednesday November 14th:

A very industrious person at ONTD! has taken the time to match up the pics with the names/descriptions of all the contestants HERE. I'm just happy to get a gander at what they all look like. I'm *so* excited!!! [Source]

Here is the first promo image for the new season of Nip/Tuck:

Fans of the show know that the last season ended with the doctors deciding to move their medical practice to LA ... which is where this new season picks up. Love it. It's about time that Dr. Troy brought his skeevy ways to Tinsel Town. [Source]

And finally ... altho I should've been sleeping after I got home from last night's activities, I had to watch the season premiere of CSI: to find out the fate of Sara Sidle, who was left in the desert, pinned underneath a car and left to die by the Miniature Killer in the season finale back in May:

So as not to spoil anything, I'll just say that I wasn't that surprised at the outcome of last night's premiere ep ... but I was very surprised to read THIS interview with Jorja Fox (who plays Sara) about her future on the show. Beware, the interview is riddled with very spoilerish information. [Source via Source]

Les News:
Last night Mike and I attended the Season 2 premiere party for The Sarah Silverman Program on Comedy Central at the Velvet Margarita in Hollywood and we had an absolute blast. I was intent on getting to talk to Sarah about her comedy routine at the MTV VMAs earlier this month because I thought she was insanely hilarious. She was very sweet, very complimentary and extremely normal to talk to. Here are a few pics from last night:

Yes, Sarah obliged when I asked her if we could pose for a lips photo ... tho, this time we're imitating Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton :) Sarah mentioned that she was so surprised at how much flak she got for her routine ... I said it before, I thought she was funny and obvs joking ... as comedians are known to do.

After the party (which ran later for us than I anticipated) we stopped by the Cat and the Fiddle to grab some beers where we met Pink readers Meredith (an old skool reader from waaaay back in the day) and Ameet, then we made our way to Tiger Heat to get our dance on. We didn't stay out too late but I still had a hard time with my alarm clock this morning (see the CSI: bit above).

Tonight, Mike hooked us up with Dodgers tickets so he, Kirsten, Paul and I are going to the game at Dodgers Stadium. Woot!

And so ... that is all, have a great weekend, I'm out.
