Row, Row, Row Your Beau

Today is my last day here in NYC and altho the weather is a bit cool (borderline chilly), the bright sun more than makes up for the temp. I hope it's bright and sunny wherever you are and that you can get out at some point and enjoy the day. Let's get thru the day's goss cuz I've got a plane to catch ...

Madonna is making the most of her visit to New York City these past few days ... earlier in the week she took in the off-Broadway show Celia: The Life and Music of Celia Cruz and of course she paid a visit or two to the gym to keep her bod in shape. Then yesterday, she brought along her newest child David Banda to services with her at the Kabbalah Center here in town ... and couple of her Kabbalah friends came along as well:

Can I just say how much I love that it is absolutely appropriate for Kabbalists to wear tracksuits, ball caps and skullies to services. I really hated having to dress up for church when I was little (which is prolly why I hate dressing up at all today) but if I were allowed to show up wearing sweatpants and t-shirts, I might've enjoyed myself more. Ah well ... anyways, I understand Maddy's other children are here in town as well (I heard of one Lourdes sighting) but apparently David Banda is the only one in need of Kabbalah these days. Demi Moore Kutcher and hubby Ashton Kutcher made a beeline from Kabbalah services yesterday straight to the Great White Way where they took in a matinee performance of the hit Broadway musical Spring Awakening. Here are a couple pics of AshMoore posing with the cast backstage after the show:

Incidentally, I ran into Pink readers Katie and Jeff (she is from LA visiting him here in NYC) at the movies last night and they revealed to me that AshMore were sitting just a few seats away from them at the show. Personally I would've recommended either Legally Blonde or Xanadu as the show to see but Spring Awakening is alright, too. It was very cool of the usually camera-shy couple to pose for a few pics with the cast backstage ... tho, it would've been a bit more polite if Ashton had thought to take his skully off. [Source]

It was previously reported that Prince William and Kate Middleton would be taking a romantic holiday together to Scotland this weekend. It turns out that the romantic aspect might have been overstated a bit ... after all, from the looks of it in these photos, Kate spent more time sucking up to daddy Prince Charles and his hunting buddies (at the risk of angering animal rights activists) more than she did cozying up to Prince Wills:

Kate Middleton is at the centre of a major public row over her decision to go deer stalking with the Royal Family. Prince William's girlfriend - now hotly tipped again as a future royal bride - chose to join a shooting party in Scotland at the weekend, much to the anger of anti-blood sports campaigners. "It is shocking and abhorrent that she is engaging in blood sports. "Kate is obviously trying to endear herself to the Royal Family and her decision will do her no favours whatsoever," said a spokesman for campaign group People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). It is not clear whether the 25-year-old - dressed in camouflage gear but, bizarrely, still wearing her favourite dangly pearl earrings - bagged her first 'kill'. But she was photographed practising with a formidable bolt-action hunting rifle watched by Prince Charles and two ghillies before heading off into Highlands. Her presence at Balmoral alongside Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall - neither of whom joined the hunt - is being seen as the clearest sign yet that, following her brief split from William earlier this year, Miss Middleton is firmly back in the royal fold. Yeah, I somehow doubt that Kate is going to pay more attention to PETA than she is to the Royal Family that is trying to become a part of. Ahh ... the things we do for lurve. [Source]

In other Royals news, Prince Harry skipped Scotland and made his way to France so that he and his mates could attend the Rugby World Cup semifinal match between England and France, at the Stade de France stadium in Saint Denis. Here are a few pics of Prince Harry cheering on the boys in white & red:

It looks like all that cheering paid off ... England went on to defeat France with a final score of 14-9, advancing them to the final of rugby's World Cup championship. I must admit that I know *nothing* of how rugby is played or how the scoring works (in fact, my only knowledge of rugby comes from the amazing Dieux du Stade French rugby calendar) but I'm happy for Harry that his team went on to victory ... but would it have killed him to rip off his shirt in celebration? Geeze. [Source]

Over in London, a furry Jake Gyllenhaal has been making the rounds all over town taking in the sights and such ... here are pictures of Jakey poo emerging from his hotel yesterday afternoon:

BRRR ... it must be cold over there ... Jake looks all bundled up. I bet the new beard offers some warmth to fend off the bitter London winds. I would really like to pet that furry face of his ... just once, well, without getting arrested. [Source]

See ... Britney Spears isn't the only Hollywood "It" Girl who happens to be a fan of the amazing store Target. Here are pics of Lauren LC Conrad getting her shop on at her friendly neighborhood Target store this weekend:

I ain't even gonna front ... I love me some Target like nobodies business. I love it when celebs show that there ain't nuthin wrong with shopping there. The store rules y'all ... they carry everything and offer low, low prices ... what more can you ask for? [Source]

Victoria Beckham's appearance on Ugly Betty is mere moments away ... but here is a quick peek at what's in store for VB's much anticipated cameo:

Victoria Beckham reveals her wild side as she plays herself in a new episode of the hit show Ugly Betty. The Spice Girl has filmed a starring role in the award-winning Channel 4 programme - and walked a way with a rather hefty pay check. She was reportedly paid an impressive £70,000 for a one-off cameo appearance in an episode titled Nice Day for a Posh Wedding. New pictures shows Victoria playing bridesmaid to Ugly Betty villain Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams), who is set to wed Alan Dale's Bradford Meade. And in one scene Posh Spice dances on a table as the girls enjoy a wild night out ahead of the wedding. Of course, Posh's starring role wasn't complete without a head to toe designer outfit - she looked right at home in a figure hugging Vera Wang dress. I am excited to see VB act. We all know the woman has a deeply hidden personality that she never, ever shows in public (choosing instead to put on her grim, smileless face day after day after day) so I'm intrigued what she's got in store as an actress. She's basically playing herself so it can't be that hard, right? [Source]

Yikes! Can you guess which female Hollywood celeb was so desperate to pull her undies out of her butt crack that she brazenly dug her hands all up in there and fished them out right in plain view for anyone with a camera to see?

And finally, it's that time of the week again ... time for us to take a gander at the Hot Dude of the Week ... say hello to the fairly nekkid Krag:

This pic of Krag is pretty racy/semi pornographic but I trust that all y'all can appreciate the male form without going into hysterics and freaking out. The human body is a work of art unto itself and should be admired openly and without shame. That said, I don't know that I'd suggest drooling all over your computer keyboard either. It may be cooling down outside but things are always hawt when the Weekend Hotness is upon us. Enjoy. [Source]

Les News:
Yesterday afternoon, I met up with my girl Monique and her new ... friend ... Paul. I'm reluctant to assume what their official status is so I'll just say that he's her boy ... her very hot boy ... a hot boy who is a member of the US National Rowing team and is in the process of training in the hopes of making the US Olympic Team. Le sigh, folks ... Le mothereffing sigh. SO ANYWAYS ... I met up with Mo and Paul up in midtown and we all grabbed some faboo frozen yogurt (the real stuff) at 40 Carrots inside Bloomingdale's. We laughed, we joked, we heard embarrassing stories from Paul's youth that I will refrain from mentioning publicly on the blog mainly because I want to remain in his good graces so he'll want to hang out with me again ... even if Mo isn't around ;) Here are a few pics of all the hotness:

Don't they make a cute couple? I know, I'm dying too. I really hope that these two kids stay friends (or whatever they're calling it) for a long time ... and I hope that Paul one day calls me up to be his coxswain one day (which sounds dirtier than it really is, unfortch).

After hanging out with Monique and her rower Paul (who I have collectively dubbed Row-nique), I met up with David and his dad Mark who came to town for a father son weekend together. We went out for dinner and a movie last night and we ended up seeing Michael Clayton:

Overall, I liked the movie but it's one of those intense, smart movies that you have to pay attention to for a long time before you get sucked into the story. Do not, I repeat, Do not see this movie if you're at all drowsy ... you're likely to nod off and miss a considerable portion of the plot only to awaken lost in the storyline. That said, the movie really has a great ending. George Clooney and Tilda Swinton are both great in their roles ... in the end, I really enjoyed the movie.

Afterwards, I was unsuccessful in talking David and Mark into going dancing so we ended up coming home to talk and watch some TV.

And that, my friends, is about it for his NYC trip. I fly out in a few hours and will be home in LA for a couple of weeks before jetting off to Detroit at the end of the month. I sincerely hope y'all are having a great weekend ... enjoy it!! I'll be comin' atcha on the West Side ... I'm out.

PS: Remember to send in your pics from any Legally Blonde on MTV parties you participated in over the weekend!
