Saints Preserve Us!

Chances are that many of you are trying to come down from a major sugar buzz from all the candy that y'all ate last night ... or you're trying to suffer thru an insane hangover from one too many Halloween party cocktails. At any rate, I want to be sure to wish y'all a very happy All Saint's Day in addition to a joyous Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead):

So whether you're honoring of all the saints, known and unknown today or you are choosing, instead, to honor the lives of the deceased and celebrating the continuation of life I hope you do so cheerfully and happily :)

Britney Spears was an explosion of, well, Britneyness last night in celebration of Halloween but before we get to last night's festivities, lets take one more look at her pre-Halloween antics from Devil's Night, October 30th. Here are a few pics of Britney in her pink and black pirate wench costume showin' off the treat one usually keeps hidden beneath ones undergarments:

Click above to see larger, uncensored NSFW images

Apparently, Britney doesn't understand that see-thru fishnet stockings like these are no substitute for good ol' fashioned underwear ... orrrrr, she just doesn't care. There is something really sad about that lone little plastic pumpkin that seems to have fallen off the front dashboard of Britney's car and has rolled underneath the front seat. There's something sadly poetic about it, I think :( [Source]

Britters cleaned up her act a bit last night, at least for the early part of the evening. Here are pics of Britney out with her children Sean Preston (who, sadly, wasn't dressed up in a fun Halloween costume at all) and Jayden James (who looked like the saddest little Pound Puppy I've ever seen in my life) as they made their way to (from?) a Halloween party at Park Beverly:

You will note that the court-ordered parenting coach/monitor that must be present whenever Britney has visitation with her children is acting all shy, trying to duck underneath the dashboard so as not to be photographed. I know I have very fond memories of my first Halloweens ... something tells me that Sean Preston and Jayden James will not be fondly remembering their first, hectic and frantic Halloweens with mom. [Source]

BUT, once the kiddies were passed off to daddy Kevin Federline (or left at home with the court-ordered parenting monitor/coach lady) Britters gathered her posse, dressed them up as X17 photogs and got herself all dressed up as some sort of half-dressed party animal crazy woman for a night on the town:

I'm sorry ... I love me some Britney, prolly more than I should, but this costume is a WORLD OF NO. That sheer, cut-out front is not very flattering at all. And, while I appreciate her little nod to the Latinoids out there (by donning the sombrero), I really think she could've done so much better in choosing a Halloween costume. I do like the pink and blackness of the outfit ... it's about the only thing about her costume that I like. [Source]

One last bit of Britneyness ... if any of y'all dressed up as Brit Brit this Halloween (and I *know* that a great many of you did) make sure you send your pics in to Britney's official website HERE. They are requesting photo submissions of fans dressed as Britney Spears for possible use on the site. So whadda ya waiting for? Send 'em in!

Elsewhere in Celebrityland, Heidi Klum threw her annual Heidi's Halloween Party at The Green Door in Hollywood last night and invited a Who's Who of the celeb elite ... unfortch for Heidi, she was the most famous person in the hiz ... here are a few pics from the arrivals:

Actually, Britney breezed thru Heidi's party on her way to about 45 other private Halloween parties last night but, over all, I don't know that many big name celebs showed up for Heidi. Santino looked cool in his costume ... I'll give her that. [Source]

Paris Hilton partied in Las Vegas last night where she played host to the Halloween party at LAX inside the Luxor Hotel and Casino. On the red carpet, Paris wore a military-inspired camouflage outfit that she wore in support of our troops fighting overseas (the beyotch actually said, and I quote, "Just for the troops ... I know that they're having a really hard time right now and they can't really be celebrating Halloween right now so it's a little shout-out to them") but then changed that outfit in lieu of something more appropriate once she got inside:

Now, you may recall that Paris got all kinds of pissy when David Letterman was grilling her on his show by making fun of her stint in jail earlier this year ... apparently, Paris is over it cuz now she's the one poking fun at herself. The little prison stripes outfit must be her little shoutout to all the felons locked up in Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, CA cuz, you know, they're having a really hard time right now and they can't really be celebrating Halloween right now. So sweet. [Source]

Amy Winehouse and new hubby Blake Cecil Fielder decided to stay in for Halloween last night (after all, those Brits don't really do Halloween the way we do here in the US) and chose, instead, to hand out candy to all the kiddies who came trick-or-treating at their home:

Obvs, this would be the *perfect* opportunity to make a crack about them handing out "nose candy" to the kiddies but I'll refrain ... I will suggest, tho, that the parents of the kids lucky enough to get treats from Amy and Blake carefully inspect their goodie bags. You never know where a stray syringe might turn up. [Source]

Ellen DeGeneres couldn't let Halloween pass by without busting out an inventive and timely costume ...

... dressing up as a very pregnant Jennifer Lopez was, I think, absolute genius! Loves it!! [Source]

Tori Amos made her October 30th Devil's Night concert in Pittsburgh, PA a Halloween show (I believe she took off performing on Halloween night so that she could take her daughter Tash out for trick-or-treating) and asked that the audience dress up for the occasion. Tori dressed up herself ... she did the first portion of the show as her character Santa dressed up as an Angel ...

... and then came out for the second portion as Tori dressed as a Devil. Brills!!! Her crew came out to pass out popcorn balls to the crowd while Tori performed Cornflake Girl and then came out again, this time in costume, to dance around on stage while she performed Happy Phantom. The show will be available for download as an official bootleg and, by the looks of the setlist, is a live show that simply must be downloaded. [Source]

Down in Miami Beach, FL Pete Wentz brought along the love of his life ... Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes to help him host a party at Cameo Nightclub last night ... oh yeah, he brought along his girlfriend Ashlee Simpson as well:

Clearly, Pete's relationship with Ashlee is just a front for his real lurve-filled relationship with Travis. I think they make a cute couple. Nice tongue, Pete. [Source]

Back to the UK for a hot sec, Dannii Minogue, David Tennant (Dr. Who), a few Osbournes and others were on hand for the National TV Awards last night at the Royal Albert Hall. Here are a few pics:

The show is basically the UK version of the Emmy Awards so it was a really big to-do. Dannii Minogue was able to shine on the red carpet without having to tag along behind her big sis Kylie Minogue since Dannii is a star in her own right on the show X Factor. Good on her! And congrats to all the winners :) [Source]

It appears that graffiti artist Bansky as struck again, as one of his trademark art pieces showed up on the wall of a building in London this week ... but this time, it looks like the artist was caught in the act by a passerby with a camera. Is this really a shot of Banksy doing this thing?

His work sells for thousands of pounds and he is feted by the Hollywood elite, yet the identity of guerrilla artist Banksy remains shrouded in mystery. Now a photograph has emerged which some people claim could show the reclusive artist at work on a London street. The photograph, taken by a passer-by in Bethnal Green, shows a man at work with an assistant, scaffolding and a truck. Banksy made his name with stencils and subversive art in public spaces but fiercely guards his true identity. The photographer, who wishes to remain anonymous, is familiar with Banksy's work and took the shot as she was passing the artist at work. The mural depicts double yellow lines veering off a road and up the side of a building, creating an outline of a flower. A stencil of a painter sits beside it. But like some of his stencils that appear periodically around his home city, authenticating the image as "Banksy" could prove difficult. While his anonymity has captured public imagination in the artist and his work, it leaves him open to copycats. A recent auction of 10 pieces of original Banksy art sold for more than £500,000 in Bonhams, London. He has also become a favourite with Hollywood stars, with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie buying his work at a recent exhibition in Los Angeles. A possible new piece of his work appeared in his home city of Bristol earlier in the month opposite the Children's Hospital. It shows an armed police officer with a child about to burst a paper bag behind him. Hospital workers said they liked the piece. Comparing this vague photo of Banksy with the FIRST PHOTO of Banksy to surface online (from May of this year) seems to show that they could be the same person. I'm sure it won't be long now before the once anonymous Banksy is known the world over, hosting art shows around the globe. [Source]

Snoop Dogg is getting ready to host the 2007 MTV Europe Music Awards in Munich, Germany tonight and immortalized his paw hand prints in a ceremony/press conference for the awards show earlier this week:

Additionally, Snoop has revealed that he is teaming up with David Beckham to work together on a little project: The rapper claimed that he is in discussions about making a movie with Beckham and that his kids have been receiving sports training from the LA Galaxy winger. Dogg told the Mirror: "No one would have thought me and my boy David would have anything in common - we come from separate worlds. But he has the dollars at his disposal and we're talking about putting our money together to do a movie. It's incredibly exciting. We both love fashion, too, and we might even do a fashion label as well. I think he got his idea to have cornrows in his hair from me, which is great." Talking about his children's soccer sessions, he added: "David and I go back years. I asked him to come over and do me this favour as he is the one who has made everyone wake up and pay attention to soccer over here. He was terrific with my kids and they had a great time as he taught them how to shoot and score the perfect goal. That's a partnership you never thought you would see - Snoop and Beckham." I love this idea! They would make the perfect movie pairing, I think. But, before they can be making movies, Snoop has an awards show to host ... and YOU can watch it stream online live HERE ... er, but only if YOU live in Europe ;( [Source]

Zac Efron busted out his little ponytail again this week on one of his trips to the gym:

It's not a my fave look of his but can one really argue with a man in a ponytail? [Source]

Here is some amazing news, E! is reporting that Joss Whedon (creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is re-teaming up with Eliza Dushku (who played Faith the Vampire Slayer) for a new TV project that is already in the works! Can someone say, OHMYGODICOULDJUSTDIENOW?!?

Hear that? It's the sound of Joss Whedon fans around the world freaking the frak out ... I'm thrilled to tell you that just this afternoon, Joss Whedon rang me up to break the news that after a long, Whedonless TV drought, we Buffy fans are finally getting another TV series created by Mr. Whedon himself. Hell. Yeah. While you scream, hyperventilate and then (hopefully) recover, I will tell you this: The news gets even better. Whedon's new Fox series, called Dollhouse, stars Miss Eliza Dushku, best known as Faith to you Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans. And this show isn't just a pilot. It's already been given a seven-episode commitment by Fox. Woo! Here's how Fox describes the series:

Echo (Eliza Dushku) [is] a young woman who is literally everybody's fantasy. She is one of a group of men and women who can be imprinted with personality packages, including memories, skills, language—even muscle memory—for different assignments. The assignments can be romantic, adventurous, outlandish, uplifting, sexual and/or very illegal. When not imprinted with a personality package, Echo and the others are basically mind-wiped, living like children in a futuristic dorm/lab dubbed the Dollhouse, with no memory of their assignments—or of much else. The show revolves around the childlike Echo's burgeoning self-awareness, and her desire to know who she was before, a desire that begins to seep into her various imprinted personalities and puts her in danger both in the field and in the closely monitored confines of the Dollhouse.

ZOMFG I'm totally dying ... this has to be the best news ever FOR REALS! I've been hoping that Joss Whedon would return to TV sometime soon but I had no idea that all this wrangling has been going on behind the scenes. Joss + Eliza is about the most perfect pairing I could think of ... I'm SOOO excited. Click HERE to read the full text of Joss's interview with E! and do try and contain yourself ... the debut of Dollhouse is still many months away ... but WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! [Source]

The Disney company has unveiled a new batch of photos shot by Annie Leibovitz featuring celebs in their on-going Year of a Million Dreams celebration. You may recall that the first batch of photos featured David Beckham, Beyonce and Scarlett Johansson ... this time around we get Rachel Weisz, Roger Federer, Julie Andrews and Abigail Breslin -- not quite the cream of the crop but not a bad batch overall:

The photos are stunning ... Rachel looks amazing as Snow White ... but I'm not all that impressed with the names they got this time around. Julie Andrews is very cool but she's already a Disney celeb. Roger Federer was the best big name athlete they could come up with? I'm sorry, compared to David Beckham ... it just seems wrong. BUT ... I do love the campaign and I'd love to see it continue. I'm just afraid who they'll scrape off the bottom of the barrel for the next batch of pics. [Source]

And finally, the online game posted by The Joker on his "official" site is over and the message revealed on the site led to a new pic of the Joker which then led to a new site with a new game:

I'm interested to see how many people will submit photos for this new game ... I'm also interested to find out what folks who submit photos will be rewarded with. [Source, Source]

Les News:
Princess Zakiya got all dolled up as fairy for her first night out trick-or-treating last night ... here is what the little cuteness looked like before she took to the streets in search of candy:

I got Z this costume for her to play dress-up with last Xmas but it was too big for her to wear then ... Tracey held on to it for this Halloween and it fit perfectly! She is so cute ... I love her in this costume :)

Back in LA, my good friend Darion always knows how to do Halloween right. Here is a pic of Darion out last night in his amazing Halloween costume -- he was Sean Preston Spears Federline at age 21:

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! Little Sean P's future looks bright ... and it looks like his mommy's old weaves will come in pretty handy one day. I think this has to be the best costume I've seen this year so far. Love it, Love it, Love it!

David arrived last night and we kinda kept it quiet. We had a great sushi dinner at Crave in Dearborn before retiring for a night in at our hotel ... and that's all y'all need to know :)

Tonight, Sarah, David and I are trekking down to Cleveland, OH for another Tori Amos concert :) We are so excited ... and so, I must be off. Have a great day ... celebrate those saints y'all. I'm out.
