Early Morning Breakfast Run

HMMM ... Amy doesn't seem to want for male companionship these days now that her hubby Blake Civil-Fielder is cooling his heels in jail on charges that he attempted to pervert justice. I find it so interesting that Amy Winehouse always looks like a crazed woman in the wee hours of the morning ... I wonder what her secret is?
In TOTALLY UNRELATED news, this curious little plastic baggie was spied on the ground outside Miss Winehouse's front door:

Oh, A Wisegal, Eh?
From Lifetime: Time for all the "wiseguys" to step aside for the "wisegal" in a mob movie like no other. From Executive Producer Joe Pistone, the real-life "Donnie Brasco," comes a true story offering the female take on life in the Mafia. Patty Montanari, widowed at a young age, takes a page from the neighborhood Mafioso and turns to selling contraband cigarettes to support her three sons. Patty then begins a romance with mobster Frank Russo, who recognizes her business savvy and gives her a nightclub to manage. Before long, she gets promoted even higher up in the ranks. She becomes a big-time money courier for "the family." And although she's living the high life, Patty soon becomes disenchanted with the mob — especially when she fears that her sons may end up "wiseguys" one day. But everyone knows getting out of the mob ain't easy — especially when you're working for the boss of one of New York's five biggest crime families. See how Patty tries to break free without losing her life.
And just so you know that this is a bona fide "mobster movie", James Caan (The Godfather TV movie, Mickey Blue Eyes) has been cast as Salvatore Palmeri, the mob boss Mafioso in Wisegal. Can I just say that Lifetime has really been pulling out the stops to make some pretty entertaining TV movies these days? Amber Benson (Tara on BtVS) just starred in her own Lifetime TV movie titled 7 Things to do Before 30 and now Alyssa gets her own movie. While I'm not particularly big on mob movies, I am very intrigued to check out this movie. I love that little Samantha (pronounced Suh-man-tuh) Micelli grew up to work for The Family. Wisegal debuts on Lifetime on Saturday March 15 at 9 pm. [Source]

The TV Guide: Snoop, There It Is!
Last night I met up with my friend Tom at the Comedy Central Stage at the Hudson Theater here in Hollywood to see his friend Sam Pancake's one may show entitled The Head is Not Reliable: Stories from a High-Strung Appalachian Boy. I'm not all that keen on stand-up comedy but I think I may have to change my viewpoint. I really enjoyed Sam's performance and I'm really glad that I went out to see it. After the show, I went out for a drink with Tom and his friends Shelagh, Mark and Sam at Akbar. Hanging out with funny writers is, well, very funny. They had me cracking up like an insane person ... we had a blast. I couldn't stay out too late because I had to rush home to watch Project Runway ;)
Tonight, I'm meeting up with Jordan and we are going to see Snoop Dogg perform a live show for Nissan Live Sets on Yahoo! Music:
I have never seen Snoop live before so I'm very excited!
And so, yeah, I guess that is all ... I still have some work I want to get done this afternoon so I should get back to it ... Lates.

A Return To Form
He carried her picture with him during his stint on the frontline. Now he is home, Prince Harry wants to keep his on-off girlfriend Chelsy Davy even closer. Photographed for the first time since he arrived back from ten weeks in Afghanistan on Saturday, the couple were leaving a friend's party where they had celebrated Harry's return. The prince, on leave before rejoining his Blues and Royals regiment in Windsor, is bitterly disappointed that he was brought back to Britain six weeks early after his deployment became public. Perhaps a night drowning his sorrows with Miss Davy for company was some consolation. The couple decided against their favourite nightclub Boujis in favour of spending the night with Harry's close friend and mentor, Mark Dyer, who was celebrating his 42nd birthday at his flat in West London. Accompanied by several Scotland Yard protection officers, Harry drove himself and Miss Davy, 22, to the mansion block apartment early on Tuesday evening. Miss Davy, who took the week off from Leeds University where she is studying law, wore a thigh-skimming skirt, low-cut black top and large earrings. It wasn't until 4am that the couple decided to call it a night and head back to Harry's apartment at Clarence House. A bodyguard drove the prince's car for him, leaving the couple to jump into another detective's Range Rover. They had spent their first few days back together at Highgrove, Prince Charles's Gloucestershire mansion, before travelling to London. Friends said that despite their "wobbles", Harry and Miss Davy were most definitely an item again.
I love the bit about how Harry carried Chelsy's photo with him while serving is wartime duty ... it makes for a very poignant solider clichéd image. I'm quite sure that Prince Harry is happy to be back spending time with Chelsy despite the fact that he wanted to stay in Afghanistan to fight longer. I'm sure there are things he can with Chelsy that he couldn't do with his fellow soldiers out in the desert ... unless there is something that I don't know. [Source]

Lay, Ladies, Lay
Buffy Summers, the vampire slayer of film, television and comic books, is all confidence in fighting the forces of darkness. But she's often shakier in her intimate relationships. Her liaisons include Angel, a vampire who is arguably her true love; Riley, a military operative who combats the supernatural; Spike, another vampire; and Parker, a fellow college student and one-night stand. In a new issue of the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" comic book series, being released Wednesday, Buffy sleeps with a fellow slayer. And, oh yeah, she's a woman. It's an unusual development for a lead character of a series, whether on television or in comic books. The story line "evolved naturally," said Joss Whedon, who created Buffy for the 1992 film and the 1997 television show, which ran for seven seasons. Mr. Whedon is also executive producer of the comic book, published by Dark Horse Comics and promoted as "Season Eight." He has written several stories for it, including an opening arc that introduces Satsu (pronounced SOUGHT-sue), one of nearly 2,000 slayers activated in the television show's finale. One of Buffy's prized disciples, she ends up sharing her bed. Mr. Whedon has developed their liaison over several issues. In No. 3 Buffy is overcome by a "Sleeping Beauty" spell undone only by a kiss from someone who loves her. In No. 4 Buffy realizes that Satsu saved her. Last month the pair discussed Satsu's feelings. Buffy, although flattered by Satsu's attentions, said the risks of involvement were too great. "People who love me tend to ... oh, die," she said. Or, she added, they leave, because "sooner or later everybody realizes there's something wrong ... something wrong with me, or around me." The matter seemed resolved, but in the newest issue, No. 12 -- written by Drew Goddard, the screenwriter of "Cloverfield" -- Buffy and Satsu are in bed, naked under the sheets. "It puts the reader in this 'Oh my God' moment," Mr. Whedon said during a telephone interview. "And it puts Buffy in an 'Oh my God, what did I just do?' moment." But before fans start blogging frantically, they should know that Mr. Whedon is clear where this is headed. "We're not going to make her gay, nor are we going to take the next 50 issues explaining that she's not. She's young and experimenting, and did I mention open-minded?" This is not the first same-sex encounter to affect the Scooby Gang, as Buffy and her friends are known. Willow, the group's spell-caster, came out in Season 4 of the television series. In response, Mr. Whedon said, "there was some prerecorded outrage," including an Internet post from a fan who vowed never to watch again. He recalled his response: "We'll miss you." Numerous fans appreciated Willow's revelation. "When it became clear how much this meant to people, we knew we could not take it back," Mr. Whedon said. "O.K., this was a life change." Not so for Buffy. "I wouldn't even call it a phase," he said of her intimate moment with Satsu. "It's just something that happens."
Firstly, I think it's amazing that this story comes from The New York Times. Secondly, the rest of the article HERE is a really great read ... it goes on to discuss where this new development may be headed and there is even a small bit about Tara, Willow's girlfriend who was killed on the show and about how her death affected the storyline. I've been reading the comics and have really been enjoying them. Sure the storyline does have a markedly different feel than the TV show did but it's presented in a new medium so it's to be expected. I absolutely trust Joss Whedon on this and all Buffy-related matters. He has never done Buffy fans wrong in the past. At first, I, too, bristled when I heard about this new development ... but I also completely understand the whole "things happen" scenario. Issue #12 has yet to arrive in my mailbox but now I'm more eager than ever to read it. [Source]

Hmm ... so we see that Justin Timberlake will be featured in the video as well ... 24 "2" Return This Fall
Fox's "24" will be returning in the fall, after all. The producers of the Emmy-winning series are developing a two-hour "prequel" to the upcoming seventh season. The movie, designed to bridge the two-year gap between Seasons 6 and 7, is targeted to air in the fall, leading to the January return of the real-time drama. On Wednesday, "24" producers began securing the show's core cast members for the film. "24" was one of the biggest casualties of the writers strike. Three days into the work stoppage, Fox decided against airing a partial season of the serialized drama with the eight episodes produced before and during the first weeks of the strike. Each season of "24" is a closed arc that takes place in real time over a 24-hour period. The upcoming seventh season is set in Washington and features the first female U.S. president, played by Cherry Jones. At the end of the writers strike, there were rumblings about a possible split of the seventh season into two parts to air in the fall and in midseason. But Fox was quick to put those rumors to rest, reiterating that the show's scheduling pattern will remain intact with a January launch. The "24" writing team is back at work, with filming on the remaining episodes of the seventh season slated to begin in April. Missing from the writers room is the series co-creator/executive producer Joel Surnow, who left at the end of the strike. Since the fifth season, "24" has been run by exec producer Howard Gordon.
Brilliant! I support this decision whole-heartedly. I was absolutely against a "shorter season" and am glad to know that the show will be kept intact the way it should be. I cringed at the thought of a season of 24 that was only made up of 8 hours ... dumb. I don't mind waiting until next January for a full season intact ... but this 2-hour prequel movie will be a great way to tide us over til we get a full new season. Woot! [Source]

Bazaar Love Triangle
Demi Moore makes it a family affair in the April issue of Harper's Bazaar, on stands March 20. The actress, 45, who can be seen next in the crime drama Flawless (in theaters March 28), gets candid with Bazaar about husband Ashton Kutcher and her daughters with ex-husband Bruce Willis. Mom and daughters appear in photographs by Peter Lindbergh. As for the age difference between her and Kutcher, 30, which got attention when they started dating, "People made such a fuss about it," Moore tells Bazaar, "you would have thought the world had never seen it before. Age wasn't what I was thinking about, but to the rest of the world it was a very big deal." And about that close relationship with her ex: "One of the most healing things for Bruce was seeing me meet someone who has brought me so much happiness. And I so much want the same for him. We get so much from being able to share holidays and spend time with all of us together. The kids don't have to choose. They're getting double the support, double the love, double the encouragement." Daughter Tallulah, 14, echoes that sentiment. "We are one big family. Late at night, after a long day, we can sit around and laugh with one another." The importance of family, including Moore's other daughters, Rumer, 19, and Scout, 16, is apparent when Kutcher weighs in. "I have a rule for myself when I am not on location shooting: that I am home for dinner by 6 every night."
Why do I have the sneaking suspicion that the Moore-Willis-Kutchers want us to believe that they sing to each other to sleep each night (I'm guessing Cumbaya is their song of choice) whilst holding hands in happy unison and counting their blessings for the overwhelming outpouring of love that they feel for one another. This is deffo a family of strange birds but if they make it work, good on them! [Source, Source]

Project Runway: Sew Ends The 4th Season
At long last and after what seemed like a LIFETIME, Bravo finally aired the season 4 finale of Project Runway last night which showcased the complete collections of the final 3 contestants -- Jillian Lewis, Rami Kashou and Christian Siriano -- culminating in the selection of a singular winner for this season's Project Runway top prize. I have to say, I was so much looking forward to last night's finale that I think I built it up way too much in my head ... because the first part of the season finale aired last week, this week's ep seemed entirely too short. I vote that the PR air the 2-hour season finale intact from here on out ... it makes for a much more satisfying TV watching event. BUT, to clarify, the show did not disappoint ... I think it's safe to say that each designer showed really amazing collections -- but as we all know, there can only be one winner ... and that winner is ...
... Christian Siriano, natch. I think Christian really showed his amazing talent thruout the entire show and seemed poised to win the whole competition from very early on. Yes, his persona may have been off-putting at times but there was never any denying his insane talent. It was quite charming seeing Christian act humble and, dare I say, a little bit nervous and scared (which I suspect was masking that he was a lotta bit nervous and scared) ... seeing the vulnerable side of him like that made him all the more endearing (and was a nice respite from his usual cocky confidence). I really liked the ep over all but, as I said, it felt way too short and seemed very light on the process that led up to the big day. In previous seasons, the model casting portion was expounded on a lot more (I liked watching the designers fight over the models) ... and I really thought we'd get some of that this season. After all, this season's finale runway show featured a few models from America's Next Top Model. I was sure there was going to be some discussion about that ... but nothing. Granted, Chris March was the one who featured two ANTM models (and his finale show was not aired since he got Auf'ed just before the final competition last week) ... but Jillian featured ANTM Jaslene in her show. In any regard, I missed the model selection portion of the show. I loved Tim Gunn's final pep talk ... and I absolutely agree that this season ended up with an amazing batch of the most talented designers of all the PR seasons -- in the end, any one of the final 3 could've won the top prize. I was so impressed with all of the collections that showed at Fashion Week last month ... including the collections that didn't make it to air (Sweet P and Chris's). The final 3 designers, tho, really kicked ass I thought ... here are some of my fave selections from each of the final 3 collections:

Click HERE to watch my vid of Rami's entire collection final catwalk
Click HERE to watch my vid of Christian's entire collection final catwalk
I remember really responding to Jillian's collection when I saw it come down the runway and I have to say, I really loved what she designed. I must also admit that I wasn't all that impressed with Rami's collection ... so clearly I don't know shizz about fashion. To me, all the looks were too similar. I get that the collection has to be accessible but I really feel that for a show like this, there has to be an element of playful exorbitance ... Christian brought it and so did Jillian (with her cute hats). I just responded the the flare in their collections more than to the similarity (some might say, cohesiveness) of Rami's. Additionally, I got to chat for a bit with PR Season 3 winner Jeffery Sebilia at the show (you may recall I wore an outfit from his Cosa Nostra '08 Spring/Summer Collection) and he revealed to me that he really loved both Sweet P's and Rami's collections. Either of them were his choice to win.
It was really cool seeing the designers wake up on Fashion Week day and make their entrance into The Tent at Bryant Park before anyone else was there ... because I was able to attend this year's show, I kept screaming out, OMG, I was there! I remember walking in that door! My seat was right there! I was surprised to learn that there were 2,000 people packed into that room! I knew there were a lot of folks there that morning but that's a damn lot of folks. Here are a few pics of some of those folks who were in attendance at the Finale Fashion Show last month that you might recognize:
It was like Project Runway heaven ... almost every one of my fave PR designers was there. Of course I could not meet them all because A.) it was a madhouse in there and B.) there wasn't a lot of time to meet them all -- before the show began the organizers with microphone headpieces kept pushing us to our seats and then after the show they tried to throw us all out (celeb and commoner alike) because they had another show in The Tent to prepare for immediately after.
On the Vicki B. tip, I thought she came across a bit more personable than we're used to seeing (if a bit shiny in the forehead region, I feel compelled to add). I thought it was hilarious that she told Christian that his designs made her smile, which is no small feat. I think that has to be the best compliment that she could have given him. She publically said that she would love to wear one of Christian's designs ... we'll see if that day ever actually comes. One more thing ... you couldn't really tell from the ep last night, but VB was really digging the music that accompanied Christian's show. The song, Control Me, was entirely created by Christian's boyfriend (and my friend) Brad Walsh and it can be heard again and again and again at Brad's My Space profile HERE.
And so to wrap up ... here are a few pics from the TRESemmé Project Runway Finale Party which was hosted by PR's own Tim Gunn and TRESemmé celebrity stylist Nathaniel Hawkins at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in NYC last night:
The party was also attended by PR Season 4 designers Chris March, Sweet P (who's real name, I am shocked to know, is Kathleen Vaughn!), Jack Makenroth, Victorya Hong, Kevin Christiana, Ricky Lizalde and Carmen Webber among other designers from previous seasons (and a couple of Top Chef folks) -- OY! Sounds like a fun party. This morning, Christian was up bright and early to appear on The Today Show in NYC ... click HERE to watch his interview.
I have to say, there were a lot of eps this season that I wasn't all that excited about (as opposed to previous seasons) but when it came right down to it, the finale was superb -- and in my mind, was the best Project Runway Finale Fashion Show of all. Each designer really shined with their final collections ... David thought Rami was gonna win, I was hoping Jillian might pull out a surprise win but I think we all knew that Christian really had it in the bag all along. Looking back, this was a great season ... and I CANNOT WAIT until they do it all again :)

I'm really happy to hear that Kylie has been taking some time to get in a little rest and relaxation now (and with her BFF Natalie Imbruglia, no less) because things are about to get crazy-hectic for her very soon. I would imagine that rehearsals for her upcoming tour should be getting underway very soon (if they haven't started up already) and once the touring juggernaut gets underway she's gonna be pretty bizzy for quite some time. I'm also happy to see her looking so happy -- I am SO much looking forward to seeing Kylie Minogue live on stage this summer FINALLY! In all the years that Kylie has been touring, I've never had the occasion to see her live on stage. David and I are planning to see her in London this summer ... and I can't wait. I just love seeing Kylie out and about ... it reminds me how much I heart her :) [Source]

Is Lance Bass Back On The Market?
Because it is always hard to tell what is really going on in a relationship by way of relationship status on My Space, I checked out Ben Thigpen's Facebook profile to see if anything had been changed on his profile page. Ben still list himself as "in a relationship" and announces that he, too, is in OZ this week (he's there 'til March 21) ... but still, the fact that Lance has already updated his My Space relationship status is troublesome ...
... could it be that the fairytale romance of La-Ben has already hit the rocks? I really thought that they made a cute couple ... I guess we'll have to see how this plays out in the long run. The boys are both in Australia right now ... we may not know what the dealio is betwixt the two of them until they return home to the States. [Source]
