The Dark Knight Does Total Film Magazine

Characters from the much-anticipated Batman sequel The Dark Knight are featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Total Film magazine ... check it out:

Hee hee ... we're still a little over a month away from the movie's release and we've practically seen the whole movie in pictures already. Actually, nothing that we've seen thus far has been all that spoilery ... the pics all seem to come from the same scenes in the movie ... even still, I'm tired of all the foreplay -- I want action already!!! Kentucky Bound

Larry Birkhead has revealed to People magazine that he is planning to move his very rich daughter Dannielynn Hope Marshall Smith Stern Birkhead to the quite environs of Kentucky so that she can grow up in a nice little 10,000-sq.-ft., six-bedroom house as opposed to the manse they are living in here in SoCal. But, before the family moves, Larry got in a bit of shopping in the trendy shops while he still could. Here are pics of Larry picking up a few things at Kitson Kids ... and lookin' spiffy on his eco-friendly moped:

Larry Birkhead has purchased a 10,000-sq.-ft., six-bedroom house in his hometown of Louisville, Ky., for himself and 21-month-old daughter Dannielynn, he tells PEOPLE. Birkhead, 35, says the house, which has 40-ft. ceilings and is modeled after a Sicilian church, was never completed, needs a lot of work, and right now "looks like a haunted house," but he loves it. "When I walked in, I said to myself, 'This is our home!'" says Birkhead. He adds he might sell the Los Angeles house where he's sometimes haunted by memories of its former occupants – Dannielynn's mother, Anna Nicole Smith, and half-brother Daniel, who both died from drug-related complications. "At first, I couldn't imagine parting with it," says Birkhead. "Then I realized I was probably holding on to it for the wrong reasons, thinking to myself that would ease the pain of losing Anna and Daniel. I have always thought that it would be great for Dannielynn to grow up in her mother's home; however, there is no yard as it is over a canyon." He adds: "There also isn't any little friends for her to run around with – which makes the idea of Kentucky even more inviting."

See, I get that Larry prolly really likes to spend Dannilynn's money but couldn't he have at least bought a helmet that wasn't 5 sizes too big for his little head? While I question their need for such an extravagant sounding home, I think it is a good idea for Larry to move Dannilynn to Kentucky where she has a fighting chance of growing up normal. She already has about 14 strikes against her, it'd be nice to have her grow up in a nice and quiet part of the country, out of the public spotlight. If any good can come from the tragedy of Anna Nicole Smith's life it should be Dannielynn's normal childhood ... let's hope that Larry Birkhead can follow thru and give her one. [Source]

Hawt Pink

Cynthia Nixon, who plays the fabulous Miranda Hobbs in Sex and the City, was on hand at the Newseum in Washington DC last night the attend the Susan G. Komen National Race for the Cure Eve of Race Party ... here are a few pics of Cynthia lookin' absolutely faboo in hot pink on the red carpet:

SJP, Kim Cattrall and Kirsten Davis get a whole lotta love but I think that Cynthia Nixon deserves a lot more love than she usually gets. She plays Miranda to a tee and very well may be my fave SaTC lady of the bunch. Anyone who looks this fabulous in pink should be featured more often :) [Source]

The TV Guide: Fiercest Calm

I spent all of yesterday holed up in my apartment taking care of last minute things around the house to prepare for David's arrival. Cleaning house isn't my fave thing to do but it must be done from time to time ... like annually ;) In any event, I got the place pretty put together in time for his arrival.

He got in late last night but we managed to make time for a quick trip to the Pho Cafe for a late night dinner before coming home for sleepy-time. Yeah, not too exciting but that was my day.

This afternoon, Le GangTM are getting together at a Sears Portrait Studio to take a few family pics. We've been planning this little get together for a while now and today's the day. It should be fun, I can't wait to share.

I sincerely hope all y'all are having a great weekend ... it's sunny and warm here in SoCal ... just the way I like it :)

Playtime With Daddy

Okay ... brace yourselves, y'all ... here are a few of the most adorable photos that we've seen in a long time -- check out these pics of Jude Law playing at a North London park with his youngest son Rudy yesterday afternoon:

ZOMG ... soooo cute! I always love seeing pics of dads playing with their kids but there is a tenderness in these pics that we don't always get to see. Sure, we see pics of Brad Pitt carting the kids all over the globe to this or that event and we also see pics of Hugh Jackman taking the kids to the beach in Australia (sometimes, we see him hurtling the kids into the air for kicks) but these pics of Jude and Rudy just playing in the park seem especially poignant. I think a resounding and collective AWWWWWW! is in order :) [Source]

Barack The Vote; Hillary Endorses Obama

The day that Senator Hillary Clinton never wanted to see finally arrived today ... ending her bid for the White House, Hillary appeared at one final rally in Washington DC this morning to formally endorse and pledge her support to Senator Barack Obama as the Democratic Party nominee for President of the United States of America:

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton formally threw her support behind Senator Barack Obama on Saturday, clearing the way for Mr. Obama to head into the general election with a plan to challenge Senator John McCain in typically Republicans states. Mrs. Clinton, speaking here to an audience of advisers and supporters who had been invited to attend from across the country, used the final rally of her presidential campaign to end her barrier-breaking bid for the presidency and endorse Mr. Obama. She pledged that she would do what it takes to help Mr. Obama win the White House. In her last rally as a presidential candidate, Mrs. Clinton expressed deep gratitude to the voters. who had cast ballots for her. She suspended her campaign, rather than officially ending it. That's a technicality that will allow her to raise money to retire her debt and to control the delegates she won. It is not an indication that she has any intention of resuming it. Mr. Obama stayed away because he understood this was her moment. Mrs. Clinton offered nothing less than a full-throated endorsement for and embrace of Mr. Obama and his candidacy. She has said many times that she would work her heart out for the nominee, and aides said she knew that now was the time to begin to show it. In a letter on her Web site, Mrs. Clinton expressed her support for Mr. Obama in this way: "Over the course of the last 16 months, I have been privileged and touched to witness the incredible dedication and sacrifice of so many people working for our campaign. Every minute you put into helping us win, every dollar you gave to keep up the fight meant more to me than I can ever possibly tell you." Mrs. Clinton continued, saying: I "extend my congratulations to Senator Obama and my support for his candidacy. This has been a long and hard-fought campaign, but as I have always said, my differences with Senator Obama are small compared to the differences we have with Senator McCain and the Republicans." If it was an end for Mrs. Clinton, it was a new beginning for Mr. Obama. Aides said he would take advantage of the nearly nationwide reach of his expansive get-out-the-vote operation that he built during the long Democratic nomination battle — as well as his considerable financial resources — to try to force Mr. McCain to compete in states which are usually reliably Republican ... With Mrs. Clinton now out of the race, Mr. Obama wants to define the faltering economy as the paramount issue facing the country, a task made easier by ever-rising gasoline prices and the sharp rise in unemployment reported by the government on Friday. Mr. McCain, by contrast, has been emphasizing national security more than any other issue and has made it clear that he would like to fight the election primarily on that ground. Mr. Obama has moved in recent days to transform his primary organization into a general election machine, hiring staff members, sending organizers into important states and preparing a television advertisement campaign to present his views and his biography to millions of Americans who followed the Democratic contest from a distance. In one telling example, he is moving to hire Aaron Pickrell, the chief political strategist of Gov. Ted Strickland of Ohio — who helped steer Mrs. Clinton to victory in that state’s primary — to run his effort against Mr. McCain there. In another, aides said, he has tapped Dan Carroll, an opposition researcher who gained fame digging up information on the records of opponents for Bill Clinton in 1992, to help gather information about Mr. McCain. That is the latest evidence that for all the talk on both sides about a new kind of politics, the general election campaign is likely to be bloody. Mr. Obama's campaign is likely to hire Patti Solis Doyle, who was Mrs. Clinton’s longtime associate and campaign manager until a shake-up in February, the first of what Mr. Obama's aides said would be a number of hires from the Clinton campaign.

Click HERE to watch video of Hillary suspending her campaign, click HERE for her endorsement of Barack Obama. At last, the brightest and best from both the Clinton and Obama campaigns will be working together to ensure that the Democrats win the White House in November. It is such an exciting time right now ... we move full speed ahead into the general election. It is such a relief that one Democratic nominee has finally been decided upon ... united together, we will win. Woot! Woot! [Source]

Head Of The Class

In recent weeks, I've commented extensively on how happy and proud I am that Britney Spears has made a successful bid to clean up her act, to get her life back on track and to bring an end to the dangerous and trashy behavior that she had been engaged in (and that was essentially killing her). I've lately come to see that Paris Hilton, yes the Paris Hilton, has kind of done the same thing. Ever since she started her relationship with Benji Madden of Good Charlotte (a relationship that I, honestly, never envisioned in the first place), Paris has stayed out of the party scene and has settled down ... a lot. I'm not sure it really hit me how much Paris has changed her ways until most recently ... check out these photos of Paris doing her best Jackie O. impersonation (sans the faboo pillbox hat) as she made her way out of a store this week:

You know, I really feel that much of the credit for the new Paris goes to Benji Madden. He is, very honestly, one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet. He's not about the Hollywood bullshizz, he's not about hitting all the trendy hotspots ... he's just a down guy who keeps it real. Paris is very lucky to have him in her life ... and maybe that is why she's changed her behavior for the better. I really hope we get to see more of this new and improved Paris Hilton. She's quite a sight for sore eyes. [Source]

Hug It Out

Usually the action that takes place while filming scenes for a TV series happens on set ... but in some instances, the action takes place backstage. Here are a couple of adorable photos of Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia (who finally confirmed that they are romantically involved) doin' a bit of cuddling on the steps of Hayden's trailer on the set of Heroes (which is currently filming for the next season):

They make an adorable pair ... and now that the secret's out that they are lurvin' all up on one another, we may be seeing more canoodling like this going on as the summer progresses. I'm totally geeked that new eps of Heroes are currently being filmed, btw. It won't be long until we'll be seeing the Heroes back in action ... until then, tho, we'll have to settle with watchin' all the HaLo action backstage ;) [Source]

Lights, Camera ... Into Action

My girl Skye Sweetnam has a new video for her hot track (Let's Get Movin') Into Action which features Tim Armstrong of Rancid ... check it out:

The song is actually Tim's song and was featured on his last album A Poet's Life ... and Skye sang backup vocals on the track. Now he's returning the favor for Skye. The vid is rad ... Skye looks really great in skintight rubber, no? Enjoy!
