Quop Never Dies

Okay, let me get the bad news out of the way first.  We ended up losing both games tonight.  But let me tell you, we played great regardless.  I didn't feel so bad losing to the #1 team in the league.  In the first game, we were down by 4 points and we ended up rallying in the bottom of the last inning to tie up the score.  Instead of deeming the game a tie (a win for both teams) he decided to make us play one more inning.  They scored, we didn't -- they won by one point.  In the second game we were more sloppy and just let the game get away from us.  We did play great though, lots of teamwork, lots of great plays.  I am not a great loser by any means, but I was proud of our performance tonight.  Mark got to sub in for Mike after he hurt his groin region in the 4th inning of the first game.  Mike was able to score a point and then had to sit out for the rest of the evening.  Mark was very happy to play.  He is now an honorary Quopper!

We have 2 games tomorrow night and I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that we are going to win them both.

After the game, Kirsten, Erik, Mike and I were supposed to go to The Detroit Art Space to see Xiu Xiu perform.  Kirsten and Erik ended up opting out and Mike and I went instead.  I don't even know how to adequately describe the show.  They were very art rock.

Their music was reminiscent of 80's bands with very interesting vocals by the lead singer.  It was a cool show though.  All of Detroit's coolest hipsters were in attendance.  It was totally fun. I took a few more pictures, you can see them all HERE.

And that's it.  I'm real tired from all the interrupted sleep I got today so I'm not going to stay up much longer.  But I'll dig up more goss tomorrow, that's for sure.

Grrr.  I am not happy right now.  I stayed up until 5am, as I've been want to do for the past few weeks, and was abruptly awoken at 7:20am to deal with the microwave repairmen.  I was supposed to drive Erik to the dealership to pick up his truck (which is finally ready) but couldn't because I had to stay home with the repairmen.  They were here until 10am so I couldn't go back to sleep until then.  I fall asleep and then am woken up by Erik an hour later so that I can drive him to the dealership.  So now it's 2-something and I've woken up again.
I'm pretty cranky when I'm sleep-deprived.

Anyways, let's just talk about the f-ing gossip already ...

Britney and her trashy beau spent some time at a "friend's" house.  Judging by the bars on the door and windows one can assume that it was a friend of his:

Why is she holding her checkbook in the first picture?  Was she giving him money?  Was she giving the "friend" money?  This story is still developing ...

In other news;

Tonight The Quop Brigade has a set of kickball games.  The games tonight are rescheduled from NEXT Friday which half the team can't make because of Steve & Stephanie's wedding.  Tomorrow night we play our last 2 games of the regular season.  If we do well tonight and tomorrow then we make it to the playoffs.  Wish us luck!

I need to go finish laundry, eat something and get ready for kickball.  Later on tonight Mike, Erik, Kirsten and I are heading to the Detroit Art Space to see the band Xiu Xiu perform ... I hope I can stay awake.
