Joss Whedon To Direct X-Men 3?

According to popbitch:

Joss Whedon is lined up to write and direct X-Men 3
next year, following Bryan Singer's decision to
direct Superman instead.

So I headed over to and found these news updates:

Whedon Would Love to Direct X-Men 3
Source: August 11, 2004 has broken the news that "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel" creator Joss Whedon is interested in taking on X-Men 3 ... got a chance to talk to Joss Whedon about the rumors that he may be interested in taking on X-Men 3, now that Bryan Singer is out of the picture. Whedon says that nothing has been offered to him for "X3," but if offered, he would LOVE to do the third film (hint, hint Fox!).

Fox Moves on with X3 Without Singer
Source: Superhero Hype! August 26, 2004

'The Cajun' tells us that Wizard Magazine got official confirmation that 20th Century Fox is not waiting for director Bryan Singer to direct X-Men 3 ... "We can officially confirm that Bryan is off 'X3', and that the project is moving forward," a studio spokesperson told the magazine. Who will they go with instead? We'll soon see.

Oh my! If Buffy creator Joss Whedon directs X-Men 3 I will seriously die of happiness!!!

Monkey See, Monkey Do

Well, looky looky ... another pop diva has also become engaged. She has been seen flashing her diamond ring all over town. The Sun Newspaper has the "exclusive" story:

The grungey teen rocker said yes when tattooed XXXXX got down on one knee and popped the question in California at the weekend. The couple are said to be blissfully happy and XXXXX has been showing off her sparkling ring to mates ... A pal said: “XXXXX has had a grin on her face ever since. She’s really excited ... “People tag her as this miserable teenager but she couldn’t be happier right now. She told her mum straight away and she has been totally buzzing.

Must See TV

Y'all better set your VCRs tonight because Entertainment Tonight is going to have an interview with Whitney Houston (she's supposed to talk about rehab) and The Insider is going to have an interview with Britney Spears (she's due to talk about her upcoming wedding; from the set of the My Prerogative video).

I highly doubt that Britney will be talking about the whole "barefoot" issue because her mother has already come to her defense:

As for her walking barefoot, The Doctor's orders are for her to wear Uggs or tennis shoes and it's just too hot for that. Sometimes it just feels good to go barefoot in this heat and give her feet a rest. But then again, I guess it's easy to find these "flawed" human moments when there's 10-14 cars of paparazzi documenting your every move. My daughter is not one that is going to give into the pressures of dressing up every single day in order to impress the paparazzi vultures that await her outside. I don't really care how the media depicts Britney because I know the truth, but I do care about how you, the fans, see her.

Lynne Spears posted this on Britney's official website in response to all the criticism that Britney has suffered from everyone. Hey Lynne, buy your daughter some flip-flops and there will be no ill will!

There is a follow-up story to the one yesterday about the crazy man in a Batman costume who infiltrated Buckingham Palace on behalf of Fathers' Rights ... yeah, his girlfriend has dumped his sorry ass.

There really isn't much else going on ... I know, I know ... don't bite my head off. I will update as things occur ... don't fretnone. One last thing though, last night a girl was wearing a very cool t-shirt that I just had to have so I ordered one, check it:

PS: I am no longer hosting MP3s. I'm too paranoid that someone is going to have a hissy fit and I don't want no trouble. I will let you know where you can find some songs ( has a HQ untagged MP3 of Britney's My Prerogative and THIS MESSAGE BOARD THREAD has an MP3 of Lindsay Lohan's new single Rumors) so get them while you can.
