Lindsay Lohan Is Not Gonna Lie To Ya

We are about a week away from Xmas and as the (relative) cold weather begins to take hold things invariably begin to slow down in Hollywoodland. There really ain't much to talk about these days but the show must go on. Let's get to it ...

Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears thought it would be a great idea to take in an LA Lakers vs. Washington Wizards basketball game over the weekend. They thought that they would have a good time with the other basketball fans in attendance. They prolly thought that they might get the love and adoration of those fellow fans just by showing up ... and on that point, they were wrong ... it appears that Britney is a long way from the love she used to get when she showed up at auditoriums:

From the Washington Times: Fading celebrity Britney Spears was booed when her face was flashed on the jumbotron. Ouch! No wonder Britney and JL decided to leave at half-time. And if that wasn't bad enough, TMZ reports: [T]he image of a K-Fed-alike graced the Jumbotron shortly thereafter, and the crowd actually cheered. Britney did put on a brave, smiling face as she left the Staples Center (with agent Jason Trawick, apparently JL didn't even want to be seen with her as she made her exit) ... I mean, what else was she supposed to do? [Source, Source, thanks Maureen]

ATTENTION: SURVIVOR SPOILER ALERT WARNING

I know I didn't talk about it much (if at all) this season but I, once again, got wrapped up in another season of Survivor. At first, I was a little put off by their gimmick of dividing the contestants into 4 ethnic groups in order to compete against one another. Thankfully, that gimmick only lasted a couple of episodes and things went back to normal. I have this on-again, off-again relationship with Survivor which goes all the way back to the first season but I'm digressing. I did get wrapped up in this season (as did David, btw) which culminated in last night's final episode. Soo ... if you TiVOed or DVRed the show and don't want to know who won yet, you might want to skip the next part:

In the end, I think the best two players this time around really got the props that they deserved. While Yul ended up winning the $1 million dollar prize, I was a little bummed that Ozzy wasn't chosen as the winner. The vote difference was only off by one vote, so it was very close. Yul definitely played the game perfectly stragtic-wise. Ozzy just dominated all the challenges and would have surely gotten my vote because so. I'm sure he'll be very happy with the runner-up cash prize and that car that he won. I kinda feel a little bad for Becky since she really didn't have a chance of winning any votes. The jury really had no idea that she was plotting with Yul for much of the time and prolly deserves some credit for that. I never thought it would happen but this season they finally pulled together enough people with integrity to have them stay united for most of the game and really work to make sure that they made it to the final four. In a game that fosters scheming and backstabbing that's extremely rare. Anyways ... congrats go out to Yul and Ozzy for playing an excellent game of Survivor. [Source]

Ben Stiller and others were on hand for the NYC premiere of his new movie Night at the Museum last night ... here are a few pics from the red carpet:

The premise for this movie is kinda cute but I think it works better as a children's book ... that said, I have no doubt that this movie will rake in the bucks over the holiday season because people eat up his family fare around this time of the year. The gays will go see Dreamgirls, the nonconformists will go see Black Christmas and everyone else will go see Night at the Museum. It's the American way. [Source]

Hilary Duff isn't letting a little ol' thing like a break-up spoil her holiday fun ... she and big sis Haylie Duff are enjoying everything that Whistler, British Columbia has to offer. Here are pictures of Hilary and Haylie enjoying the snowy fun in Canada:

If you overlook the ridiculousness of those Chanel ear muffs (I mean seriously? They're not even cute), these pictures of the red-nosed sisters are really adorable. Personally, I have ZERO interest in anything that has anything to do with snow at all but the Duff sisters look like they are really enjoying themselves. [Source]

In other Hilary news, here are a couple of pictures of her new look on the set of her new movie, War, Inc., which co-stars John Cusack:

The heavy make-up and purple hair must mean that she is portraying a dangerous rebel without a cause type character or something like that. I think she'd be much more convincing as a serious character if she wasn't carrying a Stuff by Duff plastic purse. [Source]

In other rebellious hair coloring news, Rachel McAdams got herself a can of spray on hair color and got herself a new look:

Survey says: Crap Sandwich! [Source]

Mary Kate Olsen also drastically changed her hair color but at least she went to a professional hair salon to get her new fugly look:

No, no, no ... I'm not sure what's going on with all these Hollywood "It" Girls ... all these hair color changes are just ... wrong. Maybe Mary Kate is only interested in retaining her title of The Scariest Olsen twin around. [Source, thanks Kim]

Lindsay Lohan is at it, yet again. No, she hasn't fallen off the booze wagon -- at least, that's what I assume her constant need to be photographed holding various bottles of water is trying to convey (Voss water, no less). Lindsay has taken fingers to BlackBerry and sent out another enlightening email to her closest friends ... one of whom sent it straightaway to Page Six:

LINDSAY Lohan is suffering for her art - that is, suffering bruises from dancing on a stripper's pole to prepare for her role as a topless dancer in her new movie, "I Know Who Killed Me." Lohan, 20, who sometimes forgets her underwear in real life, has been taking classes in the art of undressing - and she got a lesson in occupational hazards. An e-mail she sent to pals last week has the subject title: "They're all whores, they're all whores . . . xcept for some obviously!" Lohan wrote in the note, "So ... 3 hours of pole dancing and bruised. everywhere ... I mean we're talkin' like, UPPER AND INNER THIGH ACTION-bruised ... like a walking black-and-blue mark. I mean really though, really, I didn't know it was actually possible to have bruises in such areas of the body. Strippers dude, I tell you, I really respect the [c-word]s now ... I'm not gonna lie to ya." See ... and people don't believe that Lindsay is a serious actress. And hey, she's giving credit where credit is due ... I think the world would be a much better place if we all learned to respect the [c-word]s a little more. [Source]

Here is an utterly faboo picture of Jennifer Hudson posing with Vogue editor Andre Leon at a screening of her new movie Dreamgirls late last week:

I'm not sure which I'm more jealous of ... Andre being that close to J. Hud or his fabulously fugly (hopefully cashmere and NOT FUR) Louis Vuitton scarf. Er ... just in case any Secret Santas out there aren't sure what to slip underneath my Xmas tree ... I'd take either. [Source]

Nicole Richie seems to have fully gotten over her shyness cuz she paid a visit to her local Ralph's grocery store in broad daylight this weekend. It looks like she was in desperate need of junk food:

Yep, she's in desperate need alright. [Source]

Pink reader Julie attended the free Nelly Nelly Christmas Party concert put on by the Atlanta radio station Q100 and she sends in these great pictures of Nelly Furtado and Teddy Geiger from the show:

I kinda had to post these pictures because David is a fan of both Nelly and Teddy and I'm sure he would appreciate seeing them on the blog. Hey, Xmas is only a week away ... I gotta work every angle I can ;) [thanks Julie]

Here is a cute picture of Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton dancing the night away at one of his military Princely balls:

Altho, I suppose it is hard to make out the faces ... maybe it's actually Prince Wills dancing with Katie Holmes? In any regard, I had no idea that real life Princes were required to dress like Disney Princes. I wonder what that's all about. [Source]

Kelis has been signed by Ford Motor Company to be the new face of their new Edge crossover vehicle which is being marketed to appeal to the African American customer. Here is the first of her ad campaigns, entitled "Shattered," which will run in major urban publications such as Jet, Ebony, Upscale and Sister2Sister magazine:

This is a very interesting advertising approach that Ford is taking. Earlier this year, they signed Kelly Clarkson to promote their vehicles (I wonder which customer they are courting with Kelly?) and now they've got Kelis. While I would much prefer that they sign artists like Kelis to appeal to all of their customers (as opposed to those customers of certain ethnic groups), I think this is a great opportunity for Kelis. I'm not sure I'd be inspired to buy a car based on a celebrity spokesperson's endorsement but if it works then good for them. [thanks Patryck]

And finally, I have to send out lots of Pink Birthday Lurve to my pick for the Daddy of the Year Brad Pitt:

Brad definitely was the coolest and the hottest dad of the year (eat that Tom Cruise) and he turns a shocking 43 years old today ... shocking if only because he still looks as hot as he ever did before. Happy Birthday, Brad ... I hope Angelina grants your birthday wish this year.

Les News:
I have a few more things to get wrapped up here in LA before I jet off to Detroit for the rest of the year. I fear that I have succumbed to the winter doldrums and am in desperate need of some good ol' Detroit lovin'. I have an early flight tomorrow morning but I'll do my best to whip up as decent a post as possible for tomorrow ... as I will be traveling all day long with a 3+ hour layover in Denver.

Happy Monday ... I am out.
