Busted Eyed Pea

Black Eyed Peas member Taboo (the artist I formerly only knew as "one of the other guys" in BEP) was arrested last night for driving under the influence of alcohol after he crashed his car outside of LA ... unlike yesterday's Laguna Beach-related arrest for drunk driving, tho, there were no injuries in this incident:

Taboo, a member of the hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas, was arrested on DUI charges last night after he crashed his car about 20 miles east of Los Angeles. According to police, Taboo aka Jaime Luis Gomez, was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of a prescribed medication without a prescription, and driving under the influence. Taboo was booked at the Los Angeles County Sheriff Industry Station's jail at 1:51 PM and released a few hours later on $5,000 bail.

Now, is anyone really surprised that man that goes by the name "Taboo" was caught with weed? And enough already with all the DUIs ... if this becomes the new celebrity trend (like small dogs and big purses) then I'm never gonna leave my house. [Source]

Kissed Off

Kylie Minogue thought she was being sneaky when she jetted out of London yesterday to parts she believed were unknown ... but it turns out that she had an appointment with a couple of music producers who may be working with her on her new album. Here are pictures of Kylie as she arrived at Heathrow Airport in London and then as she exits her super secret meeting with producers in Stockholm, Sweden:

Kylie's clandestine meeting was with none other than famed producers Bloodshy & Avant who have previously worked with Madonna and Britney Spears (they are the ones responsible for her massive hit Toxic). I don't recall if Kylie has ever worked with them before (outside of remix work) but I do hope that she does invite them to work with her on her album. There are a lot of people out there who are dying to work with Kylie (and there are rumors that she may be working with Timbaland ... but then again, there are always rumors that involve Timbaland) and I can only imagine what surprises she's got up her sleeve. I can't wait. [Source, Source]

Jennifer Lopez released her new Spanish language album Como Ama Una Mujer this week and threw herself a little party to celebrate ...

... she showed up doing her best Stevie Nicks impersonation ... which really does nothing for her. J. Lo looks best when she dresses like J. Lo. [Source]

Jenny from the Block also showed up at MTV studios yesterday to do more promo work for the album ... she taped an appearance on Mi TRL for the new MTV TR3S channel and also appeared on the regular ol' TRL which is being co-hosted this week with Miss Hilary Duff:

Jennifer looked *much* better in this outfit ... I don't know what she was thinking with that black mess of a dress. In Hilary news, she talked a bit to People magazine about the awkwardness of running into her ex-boyfriend Joel Madden of Good Charlotte when they both appeared on TRL earlier this week: "I just did TRL today and Joel was there, and it was the first time we'd seen each other and it was so, like, nerve-racking," Duff, 19, told PEOPLE Monday at the 18th annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City. "I knew that he was going to be there and he knew. It is what it is." But Duff, who dated Madden, 28, for nearly two and a half years, was realistic about the situation. "I mean, what am I going to do?" she said. "It's life" ... So was their run-in awkward? "It was a little strange at first, but I wish nothing but good for him and I know that he wishes the same for me," Duff told PEOPLE. "I'm happy and he's happy and I think that's all that counts." [Source]

Joel, for his part, also talks to People magazine and says that he did "right" by Hilary and their break-up: Though Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden and Hilary Duff split last November, the tattooed rocker hasn't spoken a word publicly about the breakup – until now. "I kind of ignored it and tried to just continue to live my life," Madden, 28, tells PEOPLE. "People can say or think whatever they want ...so in my reality, it's kind of irrelevant. I'm always the kind of person that does the right thing and keeps my side of the street clean." He also confirms what Duff, 19, recently told PEOPLE about how she and Madden keep in touch and have a "great relationship." "Every girl I've ever dated I have respect for, and I always try to leave them in good terms," says Madden. "I don't see the necessity to be friends with anyone you've dated but definitely out of respect of the time, you have to be kind of respectful and that's what I try to do." Since then, he's been dating Nicole Richie, 25. "I don't really talk about her at all but I will say I am really happy and everything's really good for me right now," Madden says. See ... peeps can break-up from a long term relationship and still act like adults. It's great to hear that both Hilary and Joel are doing well ... moving on ... living life. It's refreshing that there wasn't any of that "he said/she said" crap on My Space drama that usually accompanies these sorts of break-ups.

Donatella Versace made an appearance at Harrod's Department store in London, England this week to launch Versace perfume ... here are a couple photos from the event:

OH and as Donatella was doing promo for this new Versace product she revealed in a press release that her daughter Allegra is finally seeking treatment for her eating disorder: Allegra Versace, the 20-year-old daughter of fashion designer Donatella Versace and niece of the late Gianni Versace, is in treatment for anorexia, her mother confirmed Tuesday. "Our daughter, Allegra, has been battling anorexia, a very serious disease, for many years," Donatella Versace and Allegra's father, estranged husband Paul Beck, said in a statement released by spokesman Robert Zimmerman, the Associated Press reports. "She is receiving the best medical care possible to help overcome this illness and is responding well. As parents, we are doing our best to protect our daughter. However, due to numerous media reports, we want to let everyone know that we appreciate their concern for Allegra, and we ask that her privacy be respected at this time," the statement reads. Versace, 51, first confirmed the news to TV's The Insider on Tuesday after continued speculation about her daughter's increasingly skeletal appearance. Well, it's a good thing that Versace has a new product to promote otherwise that poor girl would prolly still not be getting the help that she desperately needs. [Source]

Paris Hilton has hooked herself a new man ... here she is canoodling with her new hunk of man beef Josh Henderson in front of Koi here in LA yesterday evening:

I am utterly amazed that she keeps getting these guys to want to date her ... where does she find 20-something year old dudes who have no access to TV, magazines, Internet and porn rental shops? [Source]

Here is our first look at Johnny Depp on the set of his new movie (based on the musical) Sweeny Todd all dolled up in costume:

Finally! A reason to wear his Edward Scissorhands wig again! Seriously, tho, I am very excited at the prospect of Johnny Depp teaming up again with director Tim Burton on this film. Just the thought of those two working together again makes my inner Goth child weep bitter tears of sadness and malaise. [Source]

Hunks of beef Jason Statham and Vinnie Jones spent some time hanging out together this week in Hollywood ... doing the usual man things ... exchanging work-out tips, mackin' on the ladies or whatever 2 dudes do when they hang out ... here are a couple pictures of the man friends together:

Woo-wee ... Jason Statham is just hot no matter what he's doing or who he's with. I can even ignore the hideous footwear that he's wearing. Now, you know a man is really hot if you can forgive mandals. [Source]

Kenny Chesney celebrated his 39th birthday in Nashville, TN last weekend at a little place called the Tin Roof. Pink readers Laura-Becca and Reagan were lucky enough to attend his little birthday soiree ... along with Kenny's friends Gretchen Wilson, Montgomery Gentry, Kix Brooks from Brooks and Dunn, Jewel, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and others. Here are a few pictures sent in by Laura-Becca (the first 3 pics) and Reagan (the 4th pic):

The most famous bar band in the world got together Monday night on Demonbreun Street, played for more than three hours and then disbanded. The occasion was Kenny Chesney's 39th birthday party, the venue was the funky little Tin Roof, and the scene was surreal. Chesney leaked word to his fan club members online, and by midday the Tin Roof was Nashville's top tourist destination ... When the show got going at 6:30 p.m., Chesney and his band ran through a relatively normal set list, with a few surprises thrown in for good measure. By night's end, the band had gone beyond Chesney's material and into Rolling Stones, U2 and John Mellencamp covers, all to the screeching delight of the shoulder-to-shoulder audience. There was Chesney, onstage with Kix Brooks, singing "You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone." There was Chesney, onstage with Gretchen Wilson, singing "Hurts So Good." There was Chesney, onstage with Wilson and John Rich and Jewel and Montgomery Gentry, singing "Sweet Home Alabama." And with much of that crew, plus 3 Doors Down lead singer Brad Arnold, doing the Stones' "Honky Tonk Women" ... As is the case with many of Chesney's "Keg in the Closet" tours of college bars, the singer chose to be decidedly informal for the Nashville show. Instead of a cowboy hat and form-fitting stage-wear, he wore a St. Louis Cardinals ball cap, a white T-shirt and baggy shorts ... "This is going to be a big night," he told the crowd. "I've got so many friends coming to sing tonight." And it was, and he did, and they did. Only in Nashville. You gotta love it when celebs like to rub elbows with the common folk ... Country peeps are just like that, I suppose. Sounds like a fun party ... Happy Birthday, Kenny! [thanks Laura and Reagan]

So ... last night on the FX show Dirt, Courtney Cox-Arquette and Jennifer Aniston reunited on the small screen for the much hyped same-sex kiss that was orchestrated for the season finale to try and squeeze a few more ratings numbers out of the show ... and, well, here it is:

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. What a let down. The ladies stood nose to nose and pressed their faces together ... kinda like when 6th graders try and kiss like adults. In case you missed it, you can watch the passionless interaction for yourself:

Do try and stay awake for the entire clip. Boo. [Source]

Marilyn Manson is talking about his new album EAT ME, DRINK ME to Rolling Stone magazine (in an article that he posted on his official website) ... and from the sounds of it, this new album was borne of the painful depression of his failed marriage to Dita Von Teese:

Marilyn Manson sits in the front room of his home in San Fernando Valley, drinking from a bottle of rose-tinted absinthe. The house feels dark and unwelcoming - his estranged wife, model Dita Von Teese, has recently moved out - and Manson apologizes for the disarray. Without the makeup that he usually wears in public, and dressed casually in black, Manson pours himself into a couch and explains the turmoil that's plagued him for much of the past year - and ultimately led him to restart his musical career with a new album, EAT ME, DRINK ME, due in June. The songs, he says, "are clearly written to seduce somebody," though he is hesitant to divulge whom. "I don't want people to think the record is some kind of exploitation of my personal life," says Manson. "At the same time, it also represents exactly who I am and what I feel" ... "Halfway through last year I was in such a black hole of depression," he says. "I couldn't make anything, I couldn't do anything. I lost hope." At the time, Manson's mother was diagnosed with a mental illness and, he says, "I got trapped in one of the classic rock & roll cliches of having people that work for me rob me behind my back." He had no interest in making music, and the film project he was focused on - Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll based on the twisted life of Lewis Carroll - became a psychological burden. Manson says he was finally uplifted by a close friend's morbid gesture of devotion. "She picked up a butcher's knife and said, 'Here, you can stab me,'" he says. "When someone was willing to drown with me, I really didn't want to drown anymore." This theme is depicted in the six-minute epic "If I Was Your Vampire," which Manson wrote on Christmas. "That song is the new 'Bela Lugosi's Dead,'" says Manson. "It's the all-time gothic anthem" ... "Suddenly," he says, "I felt liberated. I'd write a song, walk two doors down the hall and record it right then." Manson's lyrics, which were recorded over tracks by Tim Skold (who joined Manson's band in 2002 as bassist), came quickly. "I was writing out of desperation and hope," he says. "The record came out in a rush - like an open wound - and I went with it" ... "I really wanted to be a singer on this album," he says. "This is very earnest and uncalculated and raw, in the sense that I know I'm fucked up, and I'm really not ashamed of it." Huh. And here I thought the album was supposed to be an accompaniment to his movie and not just an outlet for his pain. I'm not sure that I totally believe this new, heartfelt sounding Manson. All of his previous albums have had clear themes and concepts ... that this one is "raw and uncalculated" is intriguing but it still remains to be seen, er, heard what the music actually sounds like. A "depressed" and "dark" Marilyn Manson doesn't seem like much of a depature to me. [Source]

Rose McGowan is featured in the new issue of Interview magazine and here are her sexy pics:

She looks hot pretty much in every pic she takes ... add a half-nekkid dude and you've got gold! [Source]

Here is the final cover artwork for the final Harry Potter book The Deathly Hallows:

Eh. [Source]

Since I was on baby duty for the past 5 days I seemed to have missed the release of the final Spider-Man 3 trailer ... so in case you missed it too, you can watch it online as well:

The trailer is only different from the previous trailer in the last few moments ... we get a couple more scenes of Spidey vs. Venom. The shots are quick so you can't really get a good look at Venom but ... he doesn't look as cool as he does in the production artwork. But there's no cause for concern ... right? [Source, thanks Jeff]

Here are a couple of new posters for the new live-action movie Transformers:

Optimus Prime vs. Megatron ... not bad. And if you think about it, it looks like they're about to kiss just like Courtney and Jen. [Source]

Woot! It's about damn time! Project Runway is finally casting for the 4th season! Open calls for designers who want to be on the show happen this weekend in LA and next week in NYC, Miami and Chicago:

Finally ... I've been missing my Project Runway like crazy. If you think you've got what it takes to be on the show ... get your ass out there and try out. If any of ya'll end up going to the casting calls, send in your pics and I'll try and post 'em! Good luck! [Source]

And finally, Ginch Gonch has been named the official underwear sponser for the White Party Palm Springs this year:

Yeah, I'm not really about the White Party ... I'm pretty much only about the pics :) Enjoy! [Source]

Les News:
Whew! Tracey and Zakiya have already arrived safe and sound back in Detroit after flying out of Burbank yesterday afternoon ... but before they left I had to snap a few more pics to round out our fun weekend:

When Tracey and I saw that little swimsuit at the store we just had to get it for little Miss Z ... she looks like she belongs in a Marc Jacobs ad. Tracey, Z and I were all pretty much wiped after our bizzy weekend ... as you can tell from the last 2 pics. I really had a great time with them over the past 5 days. Babies are exhausting and I am just amazed that Tracey is able to take care of that little girl all by herself. My hat is off to her ... she is truly an amazing mom. I miss then already.

I have NO PLANS for the rest of the week ... I think I'm just going to chill out and do nothing. Wee! I'm out.
