Letter Of Truth: "You'll Never See It My Way" Edition

Britney Spears sounds like she's in high spirits. She has just updated her official website with the following message, tongue planted firmly in cheek, asking her most "die hard fans" to help her decide the title of her new album:

"You'll Never See it My Way,
Because You're Not Me"

Britney is asking her most die-hard fans for
some assistance in order to name
her upcoming album.

Possible Album Titles:

1. Omg is Like Lindsay Lohan Like Okay Like
2. What if the Joke is on You
3. Down boy
4. Integrity
5. Dignity

Members of the Britney Spears Official Fan Club can vote by clicking here!

Ooooh, someone's in a sassy mood. I especially like #5. Personally, I would suggest she title it, Don't Stop Believin' ... In Wearing Panties but that's just off the top of my head right here on the spot. [Source]

Geeked Out

Astute Pink reader Toni gave me the head's up on the Britney Spears pics we saw yesterday. Not only was Toni paying attention to all the panty flashing and boob slipping (you know, because she's got eyes) but she also keenly noted that Brit's wardrobe malfunction woes were due in large part to the fact that she was wearing her dress backwards!

Photo credit: Splash News & X17

LOL! I can't even tell which way the dress is supposed to be worn but I would guess that the part that ties is prolly supposed to be in the back. In the first pic, you can see that the ties are in front (and are holding her boobs inside, mind you). It was when the ties were in the back (and prolly not tied very tightly) that Britters had a hard time keeping her boobies in check. I'm not sure if it's a common mistake for women to wear dresses like this backwards or not but Britney seems to be able to make it work. Okay, not really. [Source, Source, thanks Toni]

As if this backwards biz weren't bad enough, here are a couple new pictures of Brit Brit showin' off her undies, yet again, just a day after she flashed them while leaping over the seats in her car the night before:

Um, at least they're pink ... and on. These pics would be a whole lot worse if she were to revert back to her anti-underwear mindset. Will someone please teach this girl how to get out of a car like a lady? [Source]

ANYWAYS ... after Brit showed off her skivvies, she made her way into a nail salon to get some pampering ... and then later on in the day ditched her wife-beater t-shirt ensemble for something a little more ... bright:

Photo credit: Mavrix, Flynet, Splash News & INFdaily

Not only do I have to commend her classiness for driving and walking around with a plastic tumbler in hand but I gotta give her snaps for wearing that bikini top underneath her t-shirt with the price tag hanging out. Do I smell a new summer trend? UGH ... I hope not (and I'm kidding, Brit, don't get any crazy ideas). And while I'm not too keen on the wife beater t on anyone, I think I prefer that look to the yellow mess she wore later on in the day. Please Lord, give this woman eyes so that she might see the harm that she is doing with her fashion choices. Amen. [Source, Source, Source, Source]

One last bit of Britney-esque news ... it's been ages since I've had to use the name Kevin Federline in conjunction with anything Britney but, as unfortunate as it may be, the two will be forever linked until the end of time. Anyways, Cindy Adams (by way of Star magazine) is reporting that Kevin Federline is rumored to be having another baby ... with his first baby mama Shar Jackson. Almost as soon as the story came out, the denials quickly followed but I really doubt anyone was either surprised or skeptical of the initial claim once it started circulating:

KEVIN Federline may have morning sickness, which could last for nine months when he reads this - but this is to tell him his on-again-off-again-and-for-sure-lately very on-again romance with Shar Jackson seems to have produced yet another baby between them. She's into her seventh week, and at the instant I write this he doesn't know. Star magazine is saying she's hoping this brings them back together as a family. Ugh. Oy. Eee-yewww. Kevin the Insect. Kevin the Insect -- that cute. US Weekly got in touch with Shar Jackson herself and is reporting that Miss K-Fed Baby-Making Factory is denying that she is pregs at all: Shar Jackson is denying recent reports that she's is pregnant with Kevin Federline's child. In fact, she is not pregnant at all. "It is not even remotely true," Jackson's rep tells Usmagazine.com. Federline's rep also insists the rumors are "not true." I hope to hell that the rumors are not true. There are more Federlines on God's Green Earth than we really need and the the thought of another one coming into existence kinda makes my skin all crawly. No thanks. [Source, Source]

No gold stars for me today ... there is a bit of Paris in Jail shizz to talk about. You know, I'm sure it's every parent's dream to, one day, be allowed to visit their child in jail and that dream came true yesterday for Kathy and Rick Hilton, who finally got around to visiting their little lamb Paris Hilton at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility where she is currently serving a 45-day jail sentence (or is it a 23-day sentence? I'm still not too clear on that point). The scene, as you can well imagine, was a crazy one:

Paris Hilton's parents braved a swarm of photographers Tuesday to visit their daughter for the first time since she was sent to jail last week. As her parents supported her inside the county jail's medical wing, the fallout from "The Simple Life" star's arrest and incarceration continued to spread across Los Angeles. At a hearing Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors pressured Sheriff Lee Baca to publicly explain why he had released Hilton from jail last week. "She just wants just to do her time and get on," Kathy Hilton said Tuesday as she left the county jail after visiting her daughter, adding that Paris had not been sleeping much. The L.A. media's Hilton-watch began early, with reporters gathering outside the Twin Towers Correctional Facility, a nondescript group of beige, blocklike buildings in downtown Los Angeles, before 7 a.m., with some arriving as early as 4 a.m. Norma Lune, who arrived about 6 a.m. to make sure she could visit her son in jail, rolled her eyes at the gathering throng. "No one here is paying attention to my son," she said ... On Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors echoed that outrage and stepped up the pressure on Baca, asking the sheriff to explain why Hilton had been released early. The board requested a written report detailing Baca's actions in the Hilton case by next week. "We want to know what triggered this action by the sheriff," said Supervisor Don Knabe, adding that the board had received more than 2,000 e-mails about Hilton's release — all of them critical of Baca. "What throws everything upside down is the medical assessment," he said. Baca was out of town Tuesday attending an anti-terrorism conference. A spokesman said the department would comply with board's request. Supervisors and legal experts said Baca might have avoided the criticism if he had based his decision on overcrowding, rather than Hilton's medical problems. "Baca dug himself into a tremendous hole by basing her release on the fact that she was not feeling well," said Raphael Sonenshein, a Cal State Fullerton political science professor who has written several books about L.A. politics ... Sonenshein said he expected to see a slew of new lawsuits from inmates claiming they weren't treated as well as Hilton. What appears to be the first of these claims was filed Monday by a former county inmate named Pamela Richardson. Richardson, who served 20 days in the Century Regional Detention Center, alleges that sheriff's deputies refused to give her adequate medical treatment while she was in jail. According to her claim, which is a precursor to a lawsuit, deputies removed Richardson's prosthetic leg and forced her to crawl to the bathroom while in jail. The claim says that Richardson, who is black, received "much worse treatment than Paris Hilton." In more bad news for Baca, former county employee Andrew Ahlering has started a petition drive to recall the 65-year-old sheriff. Ahlering acknowledged that it would be difficult to gather the roughly 390,000 signatures needed to get the recall on the ballot, but he said he hoped the public outcry over Hilton's case would prompt voters to sign on. What an effed up mess this has become. I guess we should've known that Paris Hilton would not be allowed to go into and then out of and then back into jail quietly. This maelstrom of controversy and outrage will prolly live on for some time to come, well beyond her jail sentence. I would not be shocked in the least if LA County Sheriff Lee Baca were eventually removed from office over this ... nor would I be surprised if he managed to survive the controversy and continue to do his job the way he's been doing it for years. I'm sure Hollywood would appreciate the status quo. [Source]

The principle cast of Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer were all on hand for the London premiere of the movie last night, here are a few pics from the red carpet:

The movie opens this Friday here in the US but advance screenings begin tomorrow night. I know that I'm deffo gonna see this movie but I don't know that I want to venture out for an early look. I might wait until a few reviews come out before I decide when I need to see the flick. That being said, I really did like the first movie (I believe I am in the minority here) so I'm sure the sequel will be at least just as good. Oh yeah, Chris Evans nekkid in a towel ... yeah, I'll be there for sure. [Source]

In LA, John Cusack and others were in attendance for the premiere of his new movie 1408 which is based on a short story written by Stephen King. Here are a few pics from that red carpet:

The Duffs and Sophia Bush were lookin' lovely and Tyrese was looking really, really good (as usual) so it looks like it was a good time. Now, I know that I read the 1408 short story because I remember reading Everything's Eventual, the collection of Stephen King stories where this one comes from. The problem is that I read it about a million years ago so I have no idea what it's about. Well, I'm pretty sure I read it ... I've read a lot of Stephen King in my day. I am very much looking forward to seeing this movie. Anyways, I just read The Gingerbread Girl, one of his newest short stories that is printed in full in the July issue of Esquire magazine and I am reminded of what a great storyteller he is. I tried to read Lisey's Story but the hardcover is so damn heavy I never want to lug it anywhere. But once the book comes out in paperback I'm gonna give it another shot. [Source]

Katie Holmes is sporting a new look these days ... here are new pictures of Mrs. Cruise showing off her strangely familiar new haircut:

What is it with robot wives and bob haircuts? I don't get it ... and I don't like it either ... Katie looks like a boy ... actually, she looks a lot like Tom Cruise -- but taller. [Source]

Happy Day, Happy Day ... Joel Madden has returned home from his long concert tour with his boys in Good Charlotte and he has been happily reunited with his lady love Nicole Richie. Here are pictures of the couple gettin' all amorous in front of the Kate Somerville Medi-skincare Clinic on Tuesday on Melrose Place in Beverly Hills, CA yesterday:

Joel sure does look happy to be back home in baby's arms ... but he doesn't look too happy to be back in the paparazzi spotlight. Ah well, we just all love you Joel -- welcome home! [Source]

Here are a couple cute pictures of Kylie Minogue taking her parents Ronald and Carol Minogue out for a bit of lunch in London last Saturday afternoon:

Um, you can't really see her in either pic but Mama Minogue is in there ... hiding behind Daddums and then behind Kyles. Eh, it's okay ... Mother's Day is already past and Father's Day is only a few days away so we'll just enjoy the pics of Kylie's pop and move on. [Source]

Josh Duhamel brought his sexy ass to MTV's TRL earlier this week to do a little promo duty for his new movie Transformers:

Do you suppose he's fully aware of just how hot he is? Actually, he's prolly not ... how else can you explain his continuing relationship with Fergie. Boo. [Source]

So yesterday we heard both sides of the Pete Wentz/Audience Member beat-down that took place in Chicago, IL a few days ago ... and here are the only pictures from that fateful night that have surfaced so far, courtesy of the Chicagoist:

From what we could see, Pete decided to have a "word" with a heckler who teased him about his relationship with Ashlee Simpson on his way out, and the shit (and a well-aimed beer bottle) then promptly hit the "fan." It wasn’t immediately clear what Wentz down, but we caught a glimpse of Pete on the floor with the other dude on top of him. To the venue’s credit, they hustled us out of there and were ready and waiting when the cops arrived. Needless to say, the band made a hasty exit (what do they need acoustic instruments for, anyway?), and the long night of trying to stay awake suddenly turned into 2:45 a.m. blogging. There's something poignant of the images of Pete playing acoustic guitar under the spotlight and then a bloodstain on the floor -- a little bit country, a little bit rock n' roll. I doubt we'll get to see actual pictures of Pete bringing the flava on that dude so I guess we'll just have to content ourselves with what we got thus far. [Source, thanks Kirsten]

Prince Harry is featured on the cover of the new issue of the Canadian edititon of Hello magazine:

He is a pretty good looking dude (my friend Mike might say, Really, really, ridiculously good-looking) even if the permanently rosy-cheeks are a bit off-putting. Whatevs, he's hot. [Source]

M.I.A. will be making her LONG-AWAITED return to the music scene with her new album KALA, due out on August 21, which reunites her with producer Diplo and features tracks by Afrikan Boy, Blaqstarr and, of course, Timbaland. The first single, Boyz, will be released on July 17:

Those of you who are familiar with M.I.A. are undoubtedly jumping around with glee at this news. If you are unfamiliar with M.I.A. then you best get your butt to the store and pick up her debut album Arular right this second. Her music is absolutely amazing ... seeing her live in concert is like a religious experience. I dare you to go to one of her shows and not dance where you stand -- it's impossible. Head on over to her official My Space profile HERE or her official website HERE to learn more. Warning: both sites may cause seizures but it's well worth the risk. [Source]

And finally ... I have been in such a crazy Buffy the Vampire Slayer way these past few days that I have to share the love with all y'all. As you should be well aware, the eighth season of Buffy is taking place right now in comic book form (picking up where the TV series left off) and the 4th installment of the first chapter of the series, titled The Long Way Home, was just released last week. I've been reading the comics and have held off on discussing them until I was able to read the 4th installment ... and OMG ... am I lovin' this stuff right now. If you're a Buffy fan and have not read the comics, you must get them now ... you're never gonna believe how the Buffy story is unfolding.

WARNING: BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER SEASON 8 SPOILER ALERT WARNING:

Alright, here's a quick run down of what goes down in the first 4 comic books of season 8 ... there is so much goodness and so much surprise that I could hardly believe what I was reading/seeing. Buffy and Xander are holed up in a Scottish castle with a whole lot of Slayers doing the usual biz of saving the world. Xander is now a Watcher (prolly among the few in the world since the Watchers Council was destroyed in season 7), Sunnydale is still in play (even tho it's a huge hole in the ground) and Amy makes a comeback as a big bad villain. Oh yeah and Dawn is now a giant. Andrew (one of my all-time fave characters) is still around, hanging with Giles in Italy with another batch of Slayers and it is revealed that the Big Bad this time around is the military (not unlike The Initiative). There are a few fun pages of Buffy dreaming (one in particular involves her wearing a nurse's uniform while sandwiched between a naked Angel and Spike) and then Willow gets captured by Amy ... and her boyfriend ...

... who turns out to be Warren!

Warren explains how he survived his skinning alive (with Amy's help) and then is forced to retreat when Buffy comes to save Willow. Oh yeah, then Buffy finds out that the real enemy she has to contend with now is the whole world ... because they fear that the Slayers might become a master race. Uh, yeah ... that's the Cliffs Notes version of what's going down. Trust me, if you're at all into Buffy you must read the comics. Embrace your inner geek and jump in while the jumpin' is good. [Source, Source, Source]

Les News:
And so ... to continue the Buffyness ... as I said, I've been in a real Buffy way lately. I've been reading the book Go Ask Malice by Robert Joseph Levy (who, it turns out, is a Pink reader) which is a fictionalization of Faith the Vampire Slayer's diary and I've also been watching the series Angel on DVD (I've just completed season 4) ... add to that the comic book goodness and you see my problem. AND THEN I found out last night that the LA Film Festival is screening the Buffy Musical Episode Once More With Feeling next week ...

... so I had to snap up a couple of tickets so that I can attend the show. I am in GEEK HEAVEN!

OY ... and suddenly, I'm very happy that David isn't here in LA to witness all this dorky madness.

So yeah ... I guess that's all ... I have a few things to take care of this afternoon so I'm gonna go do that now. Have a great hump day ... I'm out.
