Kiss Them For Me

Now ... you know that there are those times when you've just gotta go ... and you can't always help it when said urge to "go" overtakes you -- you've just gotta make do and "go" wherever you can when doody duty calls. Yeah, this sort of thing seems to happen to Britney Spears very often. You may recall that a couple of summers ago, Miss Spears was infamous for her frequent visits to public restrooms all over the Southern California area (oftentimes, she would enter these public places of bodily waste disposal without wearing any shoes -- ICK!) and it would seem that the same affliction plagues her to this day. While out and about this week, Britney was suddenly overcome with an intense need to relieve herself and stopped off at a Taco Bell/gas station to do the deed:

I must confess that I'm not entirely comfortable with all of this "toilet humor" mainly because I don't find it funny when other people make these sorts of jokes ... but I guess, under these circumstances, you gotta work with what you gotta work with (much the same way that when you gotta go, you gotta go). And, to be quite honest, something tells me that the employees at Taco Bell are very much used to patrons frequently utilizing their public restrooms so it must've been an honor to host Britney Spears in her time of need. Blah ... let's move on ... here are new pictures of Britney Spears out on the town with a few friends this past weekend hittin' up the Hollywood hot spots with her favorite pink wig:

Britters tends to wear this pink wig whenever she's in a cheeky mood but, as far as I can tell, she seems to have behaved herself this time around (praise Jebus) ... or maybe notsomuch. These pics were taken on Saturday night and you will recall that Brit packed up the kids and the bodyguard and showed up bright and early in church the following morning. I wonder if she had some repenting to do. [Source]

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint (the principle stars of the Harry Potter movie franchise) were inducted into Hollywood immortality yesterday when they were chosen to imprint their hands, feet and magic wand prints into cement in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater. They join the likes of legendary Hollywood icons like Darth Vader and Donald Duck who have been allowed to leave their mark in the cement in front of the world famous movie theater on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Here are a few pics from the ceremony:

Actor Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the boy wizard in the highly successful film series, will be immortalized at the theater along with Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, who portray Harry's closest friends and classmates at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. The 11:30 a.m. ceremony comes in advance of Friday's North American release of the fifth film in the series, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." The film premiered in London July 3. A sneak preview was held Sunday at the theater, where some fans outside reportedly got woozy from the heat. Meantime, author J.K. Rowling's seventh and final book in the series -- "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" -- is scheduled for release July 21. The previous six books have sold more than 325 million copies worldwide. The latest book is one of the most highly anticipated works in recent literary memory, particularly with rampant questions about whether Harry, Hermione or Ron will meet their demise at the hands of the evil Lord Voldemort. But the answers to such deep questions will have to wait until the book's release at the stroke of midnight July 21, given the air-tight security surrounding the novel and its plot. The three young stars have said even they do not know their characters' ultimate fate, and they are waiting along with the rest of the world to find out. So for now, the focus is on the latest film, and the stars who have helped turn the franchise into a multi-media sensation. All three have signed on to star in the film versions of the final two books in the Potter saga. It's insane to me that this franchise has grown to these epic proportions. Unlike the Hollywood Walk of Fame itself, they don't let just anyone cast their imprint in cement at Grauman's Chinese Theater. I think it's insanely cool that all of this crazy worldwide hoopla surrounds a set of books written for kids (and loved by adults). It's nice to know that we live in a world where a set of books can be just as successful (or, in some cases, even more successful) as any other movie or celebrity. Perhaps there is hope yet for our society. [Source]

In other Harry Potter news, Daniel Radcliffe is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Details magazine where he talks, among other things, about how shocked he is that other people are so shocked at how hairy he is:

While it may not be a big deal to him, the sexualized nature of his maturity is a bit weird for other people to handle ... especially when they have an image of him as a young boy. I'm amazed that Daniel has been able to successfully operate as "Harry Potter, Boy Wizard" alongside "Daniel Radcliffe, Teenage Actor Who Has No Problem With Nudity". There was a time when it was unheard of that an actor could pull off a feat like this ... and yet, Daniel Radcliffe has managed to do so and quite successfully. He just signed a deal for $50 million dollars to star in the last 2 Harry Potter movies and people are chomping at the bit to have him perform on Broadway here in the US in Equus again. He really seems to have this "growing up" thing down pat. [Source]

One last bit of Harry Potterness, here is a picture of Emma Watson at the Hollywood premiere of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix this past Sunday as she got her first look at these Details magazine pictures of Daniel Radcliffe:

The look on her face is priceless. What? She's never had an image of Harry Potter dressed in leather before? [Source]

Courtney Love played a Birthday Concert at Bush Hall in London, England yesterday and, outside the fact that her hair looked like a ratty bird's nest, she apprently put on a kickass show. Here are a few pics:

As much as I love to tease C. Love, I really do like her music. I'm anxious to hear what her new stuff sounds like. Hopefully we'll get to hear an album of stuff sometime soon. [Source]

Maroon 5 called a press con(cert)ference at the House of Blues here in LA to announce that they will be embarking on a 28-city US tour later on this Summer/Fall with The Hives as their opening act. The Carbonated Tour will kick off in Detroit Rock City on September 28th. Here are a few pics from the tour announcement press conference:

Adam Levine and the boys will be bringin' the sexy hotness to huge arenas from sea to shining sea. Click HERE for a full list of concert dates for this tour. [Source]

Here is another picture of Paris Hilton toting around her new fake hair extension thingies in the hopes that people will see them and will buy and actually wear them:

I just can't get over the whole Wig in a Box thing. I mean, it works for something like Hedwig and the Angry Inch but I just don't know that Paris can pull it off. Now see, the hair extensions that Paris Hilton wears are very nice (as you can see in this photo) ... I don't know that these little clip on hair things will look very nice when worn. Maybe I should get some and see for myself. [Source]

Here is a really supercute picture of Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale and little Kingston James playing at a park:

Couldn't you just die from all the cuteness? They look to be the perfect little family. Hmm ... I wonder what their secret is. [Source]

Cristiano Ronaldo, soccer phenom (and David Beckham Light) for Manchester United, was spotted suckin' face with an Indian actress (model?) named Bipasha Basu in the VIP area of the New 7 Wonders of the World soiree last Saturday night:

Seriously? Hmm. Well, if Becks can be married to Victoria Beckham than I guess it's okay for Cristiano to be makin' out with this chick. Personally, I'd rather Becks and Cris get to snoggin' instead but ... maybe someday. [Source, thanks Mal]

Speaking of sucking face, Zac Effron and Nikki Blonsky who star together in the new movie Hairspray got some open-mouth action going when they paid a visit to the Much Music studios yesterday afternoon. Here are a few pics from the cast appearance on Much on Demand:

I wonder if there was any lip gloss transference. I'd hate for Nikki to be walking around with that stuff smeared on her face. [Source]

You know who doesn't do a lot of public kissing is Lance Bass and his new boyfriend Pedro Andrade ... in fact, they barely make any sort of physical contact when they are out in public together:

Ah well, their love is new and I'm sure it'll get there ... someday. And they can't go breakin' up because I've already gone to the trubs of naming them Landro so ... I hope they realize what's at stake here. [Source]

Now, getting back to the PDA, here are pictures of Hayden Panettiere and Stephen Coletti gettin' all cute and shizz at the beach together earlier this week:

They make such a cute couple. I must admit, I miss the young love that existed between Stephen and Kirstin Cavallari back in the Laguna Beach days (especially since I *just* rewatched their entire dramatic love affair on LB all over again last week) but I like him with Hayden. They seem like such well-grounded kids ... I hope they can make it last forever. [Source]

Speaking of my girl Kristin, here are a few pictures from one of her recent (and tres hot) photoshoots:

Something tells me that she ain't losing no sleep over Stephen. Ahhh ... that's my girl. [Source]

In related news, a new third season of MTV's show The Hills is set to debut on August 13th and MTV has released a trailer showing us some of what's in store this time around:

As much as I don't really think Laguna Beach was really right for LC (even tho she was supposed to be the focal point of the first season) I think she comes across much better in The Hills (especially when pitted against Heidi and Spencer ... tho her continuing fraternization with Jason Wahler just dumbfounds me) and I know I'll be watching this new round of drama. The trailer makes it look like there are 2 storylines going on ... the LC one and the Heidi and Spencer one -- and the most interesting stuff happens then those 2 storylines collide. Love. It. [Source]

And finally ... here is a sad but really cute commercial that is airing on ESPN which welcomes David Beckham to the US:

I don't know that most Americans are as excited for his arrival as his Europeon fans are sad about his leaving but I know that I'm pretty damn excited. It'll be great just having him in town ... if he really can give Soccer new life here in the US, then great ... I'm just hoping to run into him at the Coffee Bean sometime soon :) [Source]

Les News:
Plans for my impromptu birthday get-together are coming along nicely. Many of my amazing new LA friends are planning to come out and celebrate with me so I'm very excited to spend my birthday with them. I am happy to report that David will be coming to LA tomorrow night to spend the rest of the week with me here in LA. Having him here with me is prolly the best thing I could ask for this birthday so ... yeah, I'm excited.

Last night, Mike and I went out for cheese fries and I gotta say ... it was HEAVENLY. I ate those spiced fries, covered in 3 kinds of congealed cheese with massive chunks of bacon dipped in the best Ranch sauce ever like there was no tomorrow ... and by the way my breathing became so labored by the end of the meal, there almost was no tomorrow. You'd think that it wouldn't be worth risking hardened arteries just to enjoy a plate of cheese fries but you'd be wrong.

I have some things to take care of this afternoon ... so I guess I'm out. Have a great day, folks ... and remember -- hope springs eternal. Lates.
