This Is HalloweenTime

A new week is upon us and we are just 8 days away from the release of Britney Spears's new album, Blackout. As the anticipation builds to a fever pitch, let's check in with our dear Britney to see how she spent her weekend. Despite the fact that the judge in her custody battle reinstated her visitation rights, she is still limited to one day per week visits ... that means that even tho Brit got to spend part of her weekend with the kids, she had to hand them back over to Kevin Federline for the remainder of the weekend. Lest you think that alone would be enough to keep Britney at home and out of the spotlight, here are new pics of Britney out and about around town going about her everyday business, which includes a shopping trip to the Beverly Center, a trip to Cold Stone Creamery and of course, a pitstop at Starbucks:

Regarding Britney's reinstated visitation rights, TMZ is reporting that Britters had the power all along to have her rights reinstated ... all she needed to do was prove to the court that she had a working phone and could be reached at all times. I guess I don't understand why it took so long for Britney to prove that she had a working phone or why someone as "important" as she is doesn't have a landline especially when custody of her children is at stake. In happier news, Britney is already looking ahead at the release of the second single off her soon to be released new album. Britney reveals that her next single will be a song called Someone and it will be released in December. This is a bit strange because her new album doesn't have the song Someone listed on the tracklist. [Source, Source]

In sad news, the soccer season has come to an end for David Beckham and the LA Galaxy as their playoff hopes were dashed yesterday when they lost their match against the Chicago Fire in Chicago, IL. Here are a few sad photos of Becks valiantly trying to secure a win for his team ... and then a few of him dealing with his team's defeat:

DAVID BECKHAM'S Major League Soccer season is over after LA Galaxy missed out on a play-off place. The ex-England skipper, who has been struggling with an ankle injury, came on for 32 minutes of the must-win game at Chicago Fire. But a 1-0 defeat means Becks now faces six months without a competitive club match until the MLS resumes in April. And there is little he can to do to convince Steve McClaren he is fit enough to play a part in England's do-or-die Euro 2008 qualifier with Croatia. Beckham, 32, said: "I'm not going to know what to do with myself as I've never had more than three weeks off in the summer. "But I'll keep on training and keep fit no matter what." Something tells me that Becks will be able to find something to keep him bizzy ... now he'll be free to go with the Spice Girls on tour as a backstage husband. In all honesty, Becks's debut season (half-season, at that) was extremely lackluster and pretty disappointing overall. His debut could've been a huge smash had he not arrived in the states with an injured ankle that kept him from playing for his first few games. Becks was plagued by injury thruout his season, which may be a normal thing for any soccer player but really went a long way to fortify fans' dissatisfaction. I suppose it wasn't his fault that he got injured ... but that doesn't mean that folks won't blame him for it. I suppose we can consider this half-season his "warm-up" season and pin our hopes on next year. He's bound to come back next season and prove that he's worth all those crazy millons, right? [Source]

Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon continue their media tour in Rome where they are promoting their new movie, Rendition, at the 2007 Rome Film Festival despite the fact that the movie has proved to be a major flop here in the US. Here are pics of Jake and Reese on the red carpet at the film's premiere at the Rome Film Festival yesterday:

It is widely held that despite the fact that Jake Gyllenhaal is a "big star" he is pretty much box office poison and cannot open a film to save his life. Rendition only pulled in $4.2 million dollars over its opening weekend and came in at #9 at te box office -- ouch! Thus far, his most successful film has been Brokeback Mountain ... perhaps the world is only interested in seeing Jake in movies where he gets it on with other dudes ... and I can't say that I blame them. Kid Rock spent another night in the slammer this weekend when he was arrested for getting into a fight in the parking lot of a Waffle House in Atlanta, Georgia ... which I'm sure comes as quite a shock to none of y'all. Here is Kid's latest and greatest mug shot:

Kid Rock has been arrested in Atlanta in connection with a fight at a waffle house, the city's FOX 5 News is reporting. Rock (real name: Bob Ritchie), 36, who played a sold-out show Saturday night in Atlanta, and five members of his entourage were taken into custody facing a misdemeanor charge of simple battery. Police say Kid Rock stopped by a restaurant early Sunday after their show, and a male customer recognized a female in Rock's entourage. Words were exchanged, and a fight ensued, the station reports. After police were called, the singer's tour bus was pulled over, and he and the members of his entourage were arrested. In addition to Rock's arrest, the male customer also has been charged with a felony for allegedly smashing a window of the restaurant. According to FOX, Kid Rock posted $1,000 bail and was released Sunday evening from DeKalb County jail, signing autographs on his way out. And this, ladies and gentleman, is a good ol' boy from Detroit, MI doing his city proud. I'm actually very surprised that he got himself arrested again ... from what I understand, Pamela Anderson was nowhere in the vicinity. [Source]

Pretty on the Outside has already whipped up a pretty amazing illustration commemorating Kid Rock's latest arrest:

In happy news, Madonna has received word that her adoption of little David Banda has been approved 5 months ahead of schedule ... at long last, David Banda can now officially become David Banda Ciccone Ritchie:

MADONNA is to get permanent custody of her adopted African son five months earlier than she hoped. The superstar, 49, will appear before the high court in Malawi next month for a review of her temporary adoption order. And it is expected the hearing – originally not due to take place until April – will grant her full custody of two-year-old David Banda. The boy has been living with her, husband GUY RITCHIE and their two children in London for a year ... Madonna is desperate to keep details of her trip to Malawi secret, but she is believed to have sent some aides out already. Woot! Not only does little David get to take Madonna's name but he also gets to live permanently with the Material Girl -- and will be able to stake his claim on her ubermillions just like her other children. This is great news for little David seeing that his new mother just signed a record deal for $120 Million bucks! Congrats, DB!!! [Source]

While David was getting closer to staking his claim in the Madonna empire, her only begotten son Rocco was seen getting a work out with his trainer/nanny/bodyguard in Beverly Hills over the weekend:

It appears that Rocco has the same penchant for exercise that his mother has only he has better taste when it comes to work-out wear. No gaudy tracksuits for him. [Source]

Princes William and Harry were very upset that their English rugby team pooped out of the world championship running after losing to the South African team over the weekend ... but that didn't stop the Princes' hard partying ways in the least. The lads gathered together a few friends so that they could drown their sorrows over their team's loss ... and it looks like the tried to drown those sorrows directly from the vodka bottle itself:

I love how frat-type guys, like our dear Princes, tend to get extremely amorous with their male buddies the more they imbibe alcoholic spirits. You can really feel love when drunk dudes like this are in the hizzy. There is something really lovely about seeing the crown Princes of England chugging booze like any commoner ... there is nothing hotter than a member of the Royal family drinking straight from the liquor bottle. I understand that is how Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, deals with being married to Prince Charles. [Source]

The Hills faithful may recall that Lauren LC Conrad was spotted doing some smart bargain shopping at her friendly neighborhood Target store last week ... and it turns out that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were also aware of her little trip because Speidi decided to make a little photo op for themselves at Target as well:

As if shopping at Target wasn't faboo enough, Speidi paid a little visit to Ryan Seacrest at the KIIS FM studios this morning to world premiere a new song sung by Heidi Montag called Higher. Of course Ryan said that he loved it ... but not as much as Spencer does -- he called it the "soundtrack to his life" and claimed that it is the only music he's listened to in the past 3 weeks. Personally, I found the song subpar ... I was more impressed with the first single she released leaked called Body Language (mainly because Spencer raps on the track and manages to make K-Fed sound like Run DMC) Apparently, the song will be available for download on iTunes "in about 2 weeks" so you may have to call in and request the song from your local radio station if you want to hear it ... er, that is, if they even know how you're talking about. Xtina Aguilera brought along her baby bump to Disneyland over the weekend to partake in the HalloweenTime festivities going on at the park right now. Here is a cute pic of Xtina posing with Minnie Mouse in a cute little witch costume:

Honestly, I only posted this pic because my friend Michael and I made the trek down to Disneyland last night to partake of the same festivities. We weren't cool enough to get a photo with Minnie Mouse but we had a great time nonetheless ... deets at the end of the post. [Source]

Whitney Houston made a surprise appearance on stage at the Fashion Rocks event in London last week and, much to my surprise, she looked absolutely stunning ... here are a few screencaps from her triumphant comeback appearance:

Whitney Houston shocked the audience at the Swarovski Fashion Rocks event in London on Thursday, taking the stage in a white Valentino gown to introduce the final catwalk show of the night. The 44-year-old arrived at Royal Albert Hall with her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, looking vibrant and healthy following months of treatment for a drug addiction. Arriving on the red carpet, she said: "I know it's been said before but I want to say it again -- thank you for your support and, yes, I will always love you." An event-goer tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror of Houston's surprise appearance: "Everyone in the audience was amazed -- even the big stars like Kate Moss, Lily Allen and Naomi Campbell started cheering wildly." "It was all anyone could talk about the rest of the night," another audience member said. "It was just such a well-kept secret, no-one had an inkling she was going to be there." It's about damn time Whitney got her butt back up on stage somewhere ... now, if she would only get around to releasing some new music she can show all these young beyotches how it's done. Incidentally, Whitney's appearance at the Fashion Rocks event last night was right around the time that her ex-hubby Bobby Brown was fake-dying in a hospital due to heart attack. [Source]

And finally, I have to give much lurve and big props to my boy Darion and his friends Angela and Matt for their participation in the AIDS Walk here in LA yesterday morning. Darion raised over $800 in his 6+ mile walk yesterday and I couldn't be prouder of the lad ... here are a few of his pics from yesterday's charity event:

Must respect goes out to Electronic Arts for sponsoring Darion's walk and lots of love goes out to all the folks who donated to his walk. I really respect D for stepping up and doing something for such an important, worthy cause. I am very proud to call him my friend. Well done, Darion. [Source]

Les News:
Yesterday afternoon/evening was really fun. I had been planning a trip to Disneyland to check out the HalloweenTime stuff going on since last year but never managed to get my act together in time to see it. Since I'm leaving for Detroit this Thursday night, this past weekend was my only chance to go before missing it for another year. Fortunately, Michael is a big Disney fan and he was excited to go with me ... after he, too, spent the morning participating in the LA AIDS Walk. Here are a few of our pics from last night's fun:

I really love Fall in SoCal because instead of cold weather and falling leaves you get balmy weather and flying dirt. Despite the fact that the wind was blowing like crazy (breaking off branches from high trees that almost squashed little kids, mind you) and we kept having to dig dirt out of our eye sockets, we had a blast. By far, my favorite ride was the Haunted Mansion that was completely transformed into at Nightmare before Xmas ride. I also got to meet Pink reader Jenny at Disney last night ... we met just outside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride :) I loved al the fun Halloween stuff at the park ... including the Day of the Dead statues they had set up in Frontier Town. I'm so glad I finally got to partake in the HalloweenTime fun at Disneyland ... I can't wait to go back for the Xmas stuff.

And so ... that is all for today. I have much to take care of before I fly out to Detroit later on this week ... I'm out.

PS: Don't forget, TODAY is the last day to enter for your chance to win an official Hairspray halloween costume ... click HERE for deets.
