A Charity You Could Get "Behind"
This ad was shot for UK company London Fog and proceeds from this charity campaign will be donated to the aforementioned Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, which was founded in 1988 by Hollywood legend Paul Newman in Ashford, CT. I'm sure the kiddies who benefit from this charitable organization are very pleased to have Nicollette Sheridan's derriere in their corner. [Source, Source]

Confirmed: Swayze May Have "Weeks To Live"
Twinkle-toed tough guy Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and might only have weeks to live, a rep for the dirty dancer said yesterday. Swazyze's publicist confirmed to Page Six that he's suffering from pancreatic cancer, which could tragically bring down the curtain on his remarkably diverse career. Swazye was diagnosed with the cancer more than a month ago. The average life expectancy is six to nine months, with only 4 percent of patients live more than five years.
Wow ... this is incredibly sad news. It should be noted that The National Enquirer was the first media outlet to report this news ... considering the source, I didn't want to believe it.
My thoughts are with Patrick Swayze, his family and friends.
UPDATE: Pink reader Jen gave me the head's up that Patrick's publicist issued a more hopeful statement to TMZ:
"Actor Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Patrick's physician Dr. George Fisher states, 'Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.' Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family."
This is amazing news. Here's hoping that Patrick Swayze will be dirty dancing for years to come :) [Source]

Brooke Shields Does The Milk'stache
Five-time People's Choice Awards winner, two-time Academy Award nominee, and star of NBC's new hit show, "Lipstick Jungle," Brooke Shields is the latest celebrity to sign on with milk and don the famous Milk Mustache. As a superstar actor and mother, Shields needs her energy. She knows that drinking three glasses of lowfat or fat free milk everyday combined with staying active and eating right can help her maintain a healthy weight ... Shields' ad launches March 14th in Us Weekly magazine. The ad copy reads, "Busy Body. Actress, model, mother, health nut, spokesperson, role model. How does a busy mom get it all done? I exercise, eat right and drink milk. Studies suggest the nutrients in 3 glasses of lowfat or fat free milk a day can help maintain a healthy weight. Plus the protein helps build muscles for a lean body. Done."
This new campaign kicks off the new Campaign for Healthy Weight site at WhyMilk.com which was created to "help Americans make smart choices for longer, healthier lives". You know, some of the Got Milk? ads are really hit or miss for me ... but Brookie looks really good in this one. You gotta admit the milk'stache does usually look a bit silly but Brooke somehow manages to make it look a bit sexy. She looks great. [Source]

Papa's Got A Brand New LV Bag
ROLLING Stones guitarist and rock-and-roll bad boy Keith Richards is to become the new public face of Louis Vuitton, the French luxury fashion house said today. For his first-ever ad campaign, the 64-year-old Richards - who has a rocky history of drug use - is seen cradling his guitar on a hotel-room bed, the light partly obscured by skull-print black drapes. "Some journeys cannot be put into words. New York. 3am. Blues in C," runs the slogan of the ad, shot by US photographer Annie Leibovitz and due to appear in magazines next month. Richards plans to donate the fee for the ad to the Climate Project, launched by Nobel-winning former US vice-president Al Gore and backed by Louis Vuitton.
Scarlett Johansson + Louis Vuitton = makes sense ... this new pairing doesn't really ... but it does seem like LV is thinking outside of the box with their advertising (I didn't understand the pairing with Mikhail Gorbachev in last season's campaign either). Kudos to Keith for donating his fee (which I'm sure is a lot of money) to the Climate Project, tho! He prolly saw this as an easy way to make a lot of money for a cause that he believes in. I doubt that he spent more than a couple hours on a single day posing for this ad campaign -- despite the fact that the glamour really comes thru in this pic. [Source]

The TV Guide: OMG I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE PR FINALE TONIGHT
So yeah, I was pretty bummed that last night's movie premiere fell thru but ah well, I'm sure there'll be many more things to attend in the future. Tonight I'm hanging out with my friend Tom and we're going to some comedy show thing. I am not planning on making it a late night because I am really superexcited for the season finale of Project Runway tonight:
Tonight Jillian, Christian and Rami face off against one another in the Project Runway Finale Fashion Show and I'm dying to know who wins it all. I think I know who the judges are going to determine as the winner and I know who I'd like to win ... but it's really anyone's game. I am anxious to see the collections again to see if my mind has changed in the time that I saw the show live at Fashion Week last month. Woot!
Again, thank you all so much for the great feedback ... I know that there are still a lot of problems and I hope to have them all resolved as soon as possible.

Is K-Fed Packin' On The LBs. Or The Babies?
Is it entirely out of the realm of possibility to believe that K-Fed could, in fact, become his own babymama? Even ex-babymama Shar Jackson calls his rotund belly "daddy weight". I dunno ... it really looks as if he's carrying around twins in there ... which is an entirely horrifying thought ::shudder:: [Source]

A Hopeful Future
Anna Nicole Smith's daughter will inherit her late mother's estate. A Los Angeles judge on Tuesday not only made 18-month-old Dannielynn Hope the sole heir, but also set up a trust in the girl's name. Her father, Larry Birkhead, and Smith's executor, Howard K. Stern, will be co-trustees. Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff granted a petition filed by Stern, who wanted to clarify Smith's intentions toward her daughter. Smith drafted a will in 2001 -- five years before the child was born -- that left her estate to her then-only child, Daniel. However, it said the assets in Daniel's trust should be shared equally if she had future children. Daniel was 20 when he died in 2006, three days after Dannielynn was born ... Dannielynn could inherit millions of dollars if the estate wins an ongoing court fight over a will by Smith's wealthy second husband, J. Howard Marshall, that left much of his fortune to the model. His relatives have been fighting the will for years.
I cannot believe that the Marshall family is still contesting their father's will. I mean, I can believe that they would continue to fight for those mega-millions but I was under the impression that the matter was resolved in Anna Nicole's favor while she was still alive. In any case, little Dannielynn Hope is now poised to inherit all that money (should the legal wrangling go her way) which I'm sure means that Papa Larry has got dollar signs in his eyes (which, IMHO, is still better than having Howard K. Stern in full control of the money). The whole Anna Nicole story is so tragic as it is ... when you consider the money aspect, it just seems so gross. I really feel for this little girl ... I suspect she may have a difficult road ahead of her. All that money can be just as big a curse as it could be a blessing. Her family's track record doesn't necessarily bode well for a successful future. Here's hoping she can break the cycle. [Source]

Can't Sell Mags? Try Jewels
From the press release: Stephen Webster, the London-based jeweler best known for his contemporary and unconventional jewelry designs, has tapped long time friend and five-time Grammy winning music icon Christina Aguilera as the face of his new advertising campaign. The spring 2008 campaign marks Webster's first international advertising campaign and his first venture into the women's silver jewelry market. As Webster's muse and design inspiration behind the new Stephen Webster silver collection, Aguilera is featured wearing the new collection of cuffs, rings, earrings and necklaces. The campaign will break in the April issue of W Magazine. The inspiration for the campaign, invisaged and developed by Webster, stems from the legendary producer and director Alfred Hitchcock's iconic films that graced screens throughout the greater part of the twentieth century. Hitchcock, known for his ability to blend suspense, sex and humor, motivated Webster to transform Aguilera into the classic Hitchcock heroine. Depicting the common Hitchcock tenor of fear and fantasy, the ads are shot in both color and black and white and communicate Webster's synthesis of beauty and danger, reflected in all of his collections. "Stephen and I have been friends for many years and working together on this campaign and collection has been an incredible experience," said Aguilera. "He is a wonderful designer with a creative spirit and innovative vision and I am honored to be a part of it all." "I am very excited to launch my first advertising campaign with Christina as she has been a very close friend for many years and the main source of inspiration behind this collection," said Webster. "I have always loved Hitchcock's films and to be able to transport Christina and my jewelry into that classic setting was an amazing experience for me," added Webster. The campaign was photographed by Vincent Peters, styled by Victoria Adcock, with hair and make-up by Peter Savic and Kristofer Buckle.
As I've mentioned before, I really don't understand why Xtina has such difficulty selling magazines ... she is beautiful and talented and relevant and yet ... her magazine sales always underperform. I'm not entirely sure that she'll be able to be more successful in the jewelry market but it is nice of Stephen Webster to give her a shot. That being said, I really think these ads are very cool ... they're classy and are right in step with Xtina's style. Me like. [Source]

JC Chacez Do Vegas
Chace Crawford needs a spanking. Okay, he might not need one, but he got one this weekend. I'm told the Gossip Girl eye candy, 22, partied with buddy JC Chasez and an entourage of about a dozen at the N9ne Group's Playboy Club at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. After being seated at a table at about 11:30 p.m., Crawford & Co. did shots of Patrón and started mixin' up Ketel One cocktails, a source reports. At one point, Crawford hit the dance floor with not one but three Playboy Bunnies. "The Bunnies started spanking Chace," the source reports. Chace, Chasez and their friends took off at about 2 a.m. No, there were no Bunnies in tow. That's a good thing, 'cause we all know how Crawford's "Before He Cheats" singer girlfriend Carrie Underwood can handle a baseball bat.
UHHHH ... yeah, I don't think that girlfriend Carrie Underwood needs to really be worryin' about Playboy Bunnies more than she needs to be worryin' about Chace's bestie JC Chasez. These guys have been practically joined at the hip for weeks now ... do you recall the last time you saw Chace with Carrie? There does seem to be an awful lot of manlurve going on between these two lately. Not that I really mind all that much ... I think that JC and Chace make a perfectly fine couple ... you know, of friends or whatever :) [Source, Source]

Cruzin' For A Bruisin'
His famous father was out of town, but little Brooklyn Beckham still packed in plenty of star-power for his ninth birthday party. David and Victoria Beckham's oldest son celebrated his big day Tuesday at Century City Mall's Pink Taco restaurant with his mom, brothers and 25 friends – not to mention Heidi Klum and Eva Longoria Parker. And apparently little brother Cruz, 3 (who attended the party in a Batman costume), isn't the only Beckham with an interest in break dancing. After catching a movie at the mall, Brooklyn and his pals were entertained by a team of dancers busting hip-hop moves. As his crew – including brothers Cruz and Romeo, 5 – gathered around, Brooklyn blew out the candles on a Cold Stone Creamery ice-cream cake (decorated to match the break-dancing theme), while his mom snapped photos on her digital camera. Klum's three-year-old daughter, Leni, was the first partygoer to poop out – she was toted out by her supermodel mom at 8 p.m. With bedtime looming, the entire celebration wound down around 8:30.
Awww ... what is it about little Cruz Beckham that he has to constantly steal the show? The kid has made a career of upstaging his older brothers ... here it is, Brooklyn's birthday and little Cruz is the one all dolled up in costume getting all the attention. I understand that as folks started singing Happy Birthday to Brooklyn, little Cruz jumped up on the table and started breakdancing in order to steal his older brother's thunder away from him ;) That little kid is trubs, I just know it ... I'm sure it won't be long until his older brothers get wise to the kid's machinations and they start teaching him a lesson. In any regard, Happy Birthday goes out to Brooklyn for almost turning double-digits ... it sounds like he had a really fun birthday (that is, when his little ham of a brother wasn't hogging all of the attention) at one of my fave places, the Century City Mall. "Yes, We Will! Yes, We Will"
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton defeated Senator Barack Obama in Ohio and Texas on Tuesday, ending a string of defeats and allowing her to soldier on in a Democratic presidential nomination race that now seems unlikely to end any time soon. Mrs. Clinton also won Rhode Island, while Mr. Obama won in Vermont. But the results mean that Mrs. Clinton won the two states she most needed to keep her candidacy alive. Her victory in Texas was razor thin and came only after most Americans had gone to bed. But by winning decisively in Ohio earlier in the evening, Mrs. Clinton was able to deliver a televised victory speech in time for the late-night news. And the result there allowed her to cast Tuesday as the beginning of a comeback even though she stood a good chance of gaining no ground against Mr. Obama in the hunt for delegates. "No candidate in recent history -- Democratic or Republican -- has won the White House without winning the Ohio primary," Mrs. Clinton, of New York, said at a rally in Columbus, Ohio. "We all know that if we want a Democratic president, we need a Democratic nominee who can win Democratic states just like Ohio" ... Mrs. Clinton's twin victories in Ohio and Texas gave her, at the least, a psychological boost after a tough month in which she watched Mr. Obama, of Illinois, roll up victory after victory and build a lead in delegates. There was virtually no chance that Mrs. Clinton could have survived had she lost Ohio and Texas; her husband, former President Bill Clinton, said last month that his wife needed to win both states. Mrs. Clinton was already planning ways to capitalize on her performance; she was scheduled to appear Wednesday on all the morning news programs. But she will continue to find herself in a difficult position mathematically. Given the way the Democratic party allocates delegates, it remained unclear whether Mrs. Clinton would close Mr. Obama's lead on that front. Even before the polls closed, Mr. Obama's aides said that given their lead in delegates over Mrs. Clinton, it was not possible for her to catch up in the few remaining contests. Mr. Obama came out shortly before midnight to speak to a crowd in San Antonio, and laid out the argument his campaign would make in the days ahead. "No matter what happens tonight," he said, "we have nearly the same delegate lead that we did this morning, and we are on our way to winning this nomination." But Mrs. Clinton's supporters, exultant over the victory, tried to cast the results in Ohio and Texas as a turning point. Mrs. Clinton took the stage in Columbus before a sea of waving white-and-blue "Hillary" signs and immediately portrayed her victory in Ohio as an indication of her electability in a general election. And she reprised a line of criticism against Mr. Obama that appeared to have gained her some traction in this contest. "Americans don't need more promises," she said. "They've heard plenty of speeches. They deserve solutions, and they deserve them now." As she spoke, the crowd responded with chants of "Yes, she will!" -- apparently an orchestrated response to Mr. Obama's trademark "Yes, we can!" Turning one of Mr. Obama's themes against him, she said, "Together, we will turn promises into action, words into solutions and hope into reality."
OY ... I must admit that I am not very pleased with the fact that the Democratic party is still so divided on this matter but I am ECSTATIC that this Presidential race is really shaping up to be a very historic, very exciting event. I never really believed that I would be able to see either a female or an African-American President in my lifetime and I am absolutely convinced we are going to get one or the other. To be honest, I had a very strong feeling that Hillary was going to pull out these wins in both Ohio and Texas ... which, at the very least, is making the race very interesting -- and very exciting. It's a really cool thing to see so many people excited about the Presidential election. It reminds me of the 1992 election when voters were energized about the political process and ended up electing Bill Clinton to his first of 2 terms in office. In the end, and I've said this all along, I will happily and vigorously support whichever Democrat wins the party's nomination ... and at this point in the game, it's still not at all clear who that nominee will be. One thing's for sure ... both Clinton and Obama are still in it to win it all. [Source]
UPDATE: Hillary Clinton made the rounds on all the morning talk shows today and on the Early Show on CBS talked a bit about the possibility of sharing the Democratic ticket with Barack Obama ... check it out:
Can you imagine a Presidential and Vice Presidential ticket made up of a woman and an African American? Am I dreaming? I think it's a wee bit early to envision this as an actual reality but it's a nice thought ... Clinton/Obama has a certain ring to it.
