Start Spreadin' The News

The Daily Mail is reporting that Nicole Kidman is, at long last, pregs with her first child with hubby Keith Urban ... which, if true, would be the best news ever. I cannot get too happy about this news since reports of her pregsness seem to pop up every few months but something tells me that, this time, the rumor might be true:

Nicole Kidman and her husband of 18 months are expecting their first baby, the Daily Mail can reveal. The Oscar-winning actress and Keith Urban, the country and western singer she calls the "love of my life", broke the news to their families over the Christmas holiday. The 40-year-old Australian star had already spoken of "winding down" her film-making activities as much as possible next year. The baby, whose expected arrival date has not yet been revealed, will be the actress's first natural child. She adopted Isabella, 14, and twelve-year-old Conor during her first marriage to Tom Cruise. Miss Kidman was stunned when he filed for divorce in 2001. Shortly after they split, she revealed that she had suffered an ectopic pregnancy and a miscarriage during the marriage. Miss Kidman spent her Christmas holiday in Syndey, after finishing work on Baz Lurhmann's epic romantic adventure film "Australia" on December 21. She is due to film The Reader with Ralph Fiennes and British director Stephen Daldry in Berlin next month, but has no more cinema work planned after that. "I just want to spend as much time as possible with my husband," she told the Daily Mail. Earlier this month the actress also dismissed the idea of returning to the stage next year. "It wouldn't fit in with the logistics and dynamics of my family", she said - a remark given extra meaning by the news of her pregnancy. Nikki Kidman has to be one of my fave actresses which is why this is happy news ... it seems clear that she has wanted a baby of her own for so long and I hope her wish will, indeed, come true in 2008. Much congrats Nicole and Keith!! [Source]

In other jubilant news, Brandy's holiday wishes have come true since finding out that she will not be charged by the city of Los Angeles in the wrongful death case brought against her stemming from a fatal automobile accident she was involved in just about a year ago. She still faces a lawsuit filed against her by the family of the woman who was killed in the accident but this new development has to have Brandy feelin' pretty good right about now:

Singer Brandy will not face charges by the L.A. City Attorney over her 2006 car accident that left a woman dead, Usmagazine.com confirms. Frank Mateljan, the city attorney's office spokesman, tells Usmagazine.com: "The City Attorney's Office has decided not to file misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charges against Brandy Norwood in the case stemming from a December 30, 2006 traffic collision. After conducting a thorough investigation, which included consulting with some of the top accident reconstruction experts in the country, City prosecutors concluded that there was insufficient evidence from which a jury could find Ms. Norwood guilty of such a charge beyond a reasonable doubt." On December 30, 2006, Brandy drove her Land Rover into the back of a Honda driven by Awatef Aboudihaj. Aboudihaj's car smashed into a third vehicle before being struck by someone else. Aboudihaj, 38, later died of her injuries. Brandy was not injured in the crash. There was no evidence that alcohol or drugs were involved. The singer isn't entirely off the hook yet: She still faces four wrongful-death suits filed on behalf of Aboudihaj's family and another victim of the crash. A trial date is set for January 28. While Brandy will not be feelin' the head from the City of LA's Attorney's Office, she still has to deal with the family. Even if the case does not go to trial, I'm pretty sure that Brandy will end up paying out a hefty sum of money to make the problem go away. At least she can take heart that she will not have to face any jailtime from any of this mess ... she has to be elated about that. As an aside, I am shocked that it took an entire year for this decision to be handed down. I cannot imagine having to deal with an entire year of this sort of thing hanging over my head. I'm pretty sure Brandy's happiness has a lot to do with the fact that the matter is at least partially settled ... finally. [Source]

Here are a few adorable pictures of Jennifer Garner and her cute baby girl Violet out for a lovely day in the brisk NYC weather in Central Park yesterday:

Violet is the cutest little thing ... I love it when her parents take her out to play at the park. She has the most adorable chubby cheeks ... seeing pictures of her is sure to make any person with a womb feel like spittin' out another kid of their own. [Source]

And speaking of ... here are new pictures of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt doing some shopping at a chic baby store ... which seems odd since all their babies are already practically grown:

Alright, little Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt is still a little baby and I suppose it's possible that they were shopping for her but ... couldn't it also be possible that Brangelina are thinking about procuring another child to add to their family whether by adoptive or natural means? It's about that time of the year that Brangelina jet off to some far-flung part of the world to visit orphanages in order to pick out a new child to bring home with them (it was about a year ago that they decided to adopt Pax Thien). Maybe they have begun the early work in preparing for a new baby. [Source]

Brad hasn't been spending all of his time shopping for baby things ... he's also been offering his help and support to the Make it Right developers in New Orleans' Lower Ninth Ward:

New baby or not, Brad and Angelina always make sure to devote part of their time to their favorite charitable causes ... which is why they are the real-life superheroes that everyone loves to lurve. [Source]

While Brangelina continue to do the stuff they are most famous for (potentially adopting babies and offering aid to charitable organizations), Paris Hilton is also back to doing her normal day-to-day routine. Here are a couple of pictures of Paris doing a little shopping at a local 7-Eleven convenience store where she picked up a few periodicals to read:

Paris sure does love to feed her brain ... Playboy magazine, The National Enquirer, Life & Style, In Touch, US Weekly and Star magazine ... you know, the classics. Clearly she must've forgotten to pickup the latest issues of The New Yorker and The Economist. It must've just been an oversight. [Source]

With rumors that Kristin Cavallari may join the hit MTV show The Hills going around the InterWeb, Pink reader and messageboard owner/moderator for The Mean Girls messageboard (which is devoted to KC) sends in some interesting candid shots of Kristin hanging out with Heidi Montag back in the day. Clearly the ladies have history which may be a great way for Kristin to be introduced on The Hills. Additionally, TMZ caught KC out and about in Hollywood this week ... which seems to be a great way for her to be reintroduced on the scene:

I am thrilled that my girl Kristin may be coming back on to the scene and would LOVE to see her take over The Hills. In the new TMZ video, KC offers her thoughts on Jamie-Lynn Spears's unplanned pregnancy and then declares that she is "the only one" who hasn't been arrested for DUI (unlike her Laguna Beach sidekick Jessica Smith, who got popped for drunk driving earlier this year). I just hope KC's comments don't come back to bite her in the butt ... she needs to stay nice, clean and out of trubs ... and she needs to get back on TV, too :) Much love and thanks to Rori and The Mean Girls board for the classic pics. [Source, Source]

Much love and thanks also goes out to the many Pink readers who clued me into the failed TV series The Bedford Diaries which starred Milo Ventimiglia and Penn Badgley regarding yesterday's post ... and for leading me towards a whole bunch of old pics of Milo lookin' scruffy and cute as hell:

I'm actually very surprised that The Bedford Diaries met an early end since Milo looked so good rockin' the big sexy emo hair. Granted, it was prolly back in the days before emo's hey-day but still ... think of all the amazing Miloness we missed out as a result. I'm just glad that he was finally able to shine once he scored a role on Heroes. Now the world can lurve and appreciate him ... as it should be :) [Source]

Project Runway's Jack Mackenroth is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of HX magazine:

In his interview, Jack talks about the possibility that he may return on the next season of Project Runway, he talks about his cameo in the Sex and the City movie and he also dishes on his relationship with Dale Levitsky from Top Chef. It's a cute interview, y'all should deff check it out HERE. [Source]

Not sure who you want to support in the 2008 presidential election next year? Then do I have the candidate for you ... Ralph Wiggum:

I know I'm having a hard time deciding whether to support Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama so maybe supporting Ralph Wiggum is the way to go. He couldn’t' do a worse job than our current president ... at the very least he's smarter :) Expect to see and hear more from Ralph as the 08 election gets into full steam over the coming months. [Source]

And finally, it's time for this week's batch of photos sent in by Pink is the new Blog readers ... the last batch for 2007 -- Gen sends in a pic from her December 7th wedding to her new hubby Drew -- Chalita sends in a pic from her 21st birthday, which was also on December 7th -- Jonathan sends in a pic with his fellow Disney interns and couple of Disney celebs -- Tammy sends in a pic with a couple of friends from their recent girls only trip -- Laura sends in a pic (that I should've posted ages ago) of her adorable cat Miss Kitty LaRue in her Hanukkah pimp gear:

Thank you all so very much for all the wonderful pics this week and all year long. I am very much looking forward to all the fun pics to come in 2008. Much lurve to all y'all! XOXOXO

Les News:
Last night, David and I went out for a party hosted by David's friend David with a bunch of his faboo gay friends. It was very low key but really fun. We talked and drank and pretty much partied til we pooped. I understand a group of David's friends went out for some afterparty fun but my David and I came home for some alone time ... which meant passing out from all the drink. Natch.

Not sure what's going on tonight ... I have some other Year End wrap up posts to work on, so be on the look-out for those. And I guess that is all ... I am out.
