Show Yer Pride

Happy Pride, y'all! I'm in NYC right now and the NYC Gay Pride Parade is in full swing, literally, as I type this! For those of you who celebrate it, I hope y'all have a great day of GLBT lurvin'!

Prince began his week long residency at the Roosevelt Hotel in LA last night where he played his first of 7 performances. Penelope Cruz was among the celebs who attended last night's affair. Because there is always a strict No Cameras policy at every Prince show we will be hard-pressed to get any pictures from inside the venue but here are a few pics of the Roosevelt itself all decked out for the weeklong residency:

In an unprecedented Los Angeles event, Purple will Reign for seven special intimate performances starting Saturday, June 23rd at the legendary Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. Pop music icon Prince will be taking up residency and bringing "3121" exclusively to Thompson Hotels' Hollywood Roosevelt this summer, presented by Verizon Wireless. For possibly the last time in Los Angeles, the royal purple carpet will be rolled out for his Hollywood homecoming and the artist has chosen the legendary hotel for seven exclusive, intimate performances commencing Saturday, June 23rd, 2007. Reminiscent to Prince's legendary after hours parties in his Beverly Hills home, a select audience of 200 friends and fans will have an incredible opportunity to witness Prince firsthand in Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel's Blossom Room, home of the first Academy Awards. Known for his spontaneity, Prince has frequently invited musicians onstage for impromptu performances. Past surprise guests have included Sir Elton John, Will.I.Am, Kelis, Sheila E., Herbie Hancock , Maroon 5 and more. There are 2 admission prices for these exclusive events -- the $3,121.00 package gets you dinner, tickets to the show and tickets to the after-hours jazz jam session, the $312.10 dollar package gets you access to the pre-concert party in the Lobby Bar (in lieu of the dinner) and access to the actual Prince concert. I will be going to the Thursday night show and I couldn't be more excited. I'm not even sure how many times I've seen Prince in concert (the last time was with David over New Year's Eve weekend in Las Vegas) but I know I'm in for an amazing time. Over in the UK, Day 2 of the Glastonbury Festival took place yesterday and performers like Lily Allen, BabyShambles, Maximo Park and Iggy Pop took to the stage. Here are a few pics:

Back here in the States, Kevin Federline picked up the mic for an impromptu performance at club Cameo in Miami Beach, Florida this weekend for the 3rd Annual DJ Irie Weekend Kick Off Party hosted by Jamie Foxx:

Brangelina has packed up the kiddies and has left the Czech Republic where the fam had temporarily relocated while Angelina Jolie worked on her movie Wanted. Here are pics of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt boarding their plane ...

Speaking of goodbyes, Suri Holmes Cruise in the arms of her alleged biological father Tom Cruise, unleashed her signature gesture on the good people of Cap d'Antibes in France, waving goodbye as they left their hotel:

Every Hollywood "It" Girl must have their own signature move so why, despite the fact that she's prolly not a real living child, shouldn't Suri. Whether or not she's real or Memorex, the kid is cute. [Source]

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel attempted to keep a low profile in Copenhagen this weekend as the pair took to the streets for a quick jog:

You know who knows nothing about keeping a low profile? Demi Moore. How else can you explain her bright idea to wear a sheer top that absolutely disappears when flashbulbs go off without wearing a bra underneath?

You can see that Christian Bale, wearing his Batman suit, is next to him in the second pic. With the Joker and Harvey Dent (who will eventually become Two-Face) and now the Scarecrow showing up in the new Batman sequel, it looks like Batman is going to have a lot on his hands to deal with. Les News:
I arrived here in NYC just after midnight and David and I spent a nice bit of time last night getting reacquainted -- which basically means we ordered pizza and watched old eps of Will & Grace.

Today is the NYC Gay Pride Parade and I'm currently sitting in David's living room while the parade roars just outside his window. He has an amazing view of the parade which is passing by right this very moment. He has a few friends stopping by to enjoy the parade with us so ... I have to go be social now.
