Thank U

Let me just tell you ... one of the many, many things that I am thankful for this year is the fact that I get to sleep my ass in on Thanksgiving day. Since I write a post for every day of the year (every day of the year), I like to be a bit lazy on the holidays. I actually had a fun time last night at the Kevin Federline concert (deets at the end of the post) which led to a late night, which led to a nice morning sleep in today. Let's get to it ...

Britney Spears has launched an all out attack on the world since cutting herself loose from The Federline. She's been jetting all over the country, popping up on awards shows, partying with the pros (even flashing her naughties just like the best of 'em) and all the while has been working feverishly behind the scenes on her comeback album. Additionally, she has been increasing her advertising potential as well. Britney is launching a new fragrance, just in time for the holiday shopping season, called Midnight Fantasy:

Just yesterday as I was watching the mid-day dramas (Y&R and B&B, no comments please) I saw the commercials for the Britney Spears fragrances Curious and Fantasy -- each twice! It's been ages since I've seen those commercials on TV. Yes, I'm sure the commercials are being aired again to get ready for the Xmas shopping season but I think there is a renewed interest in anything Britney Spears and she is striking while the iron is hot. Brills! I'm sure there will be a new commercial for Midnight Fantasy sometime soon. I ain't gonna lie, her perfumes kinda stink but hey, at least they no longer smell of desperation. [Source]

While I was sleeping in this morning, the Detroit Thanksgiving Parade (officially known as America's Thanksgiving Parade) went off without a hitch. This year, the parade took a new route which brought parade attendees closer to the action:

The Detroit Thanksgiving Parade is celebrating it's 80th year this year. It's been years since I attended the Thanksgiving Parade (ugh, in high school our marching band had to march in it -- no fun at all) but being away from home kinda makes me nostalgic for it. Detroit has few traditions but we do revere the ones that we have. [Source]

Another Detroit tradition, which is also a Thanksgiving day tradition, is the Detroit Lions football game. Every year, the big game on Thanksgiving day is hosted by the Detroit Lions and this year they took on the Miami Dolphins ...

... an unfortunate tradition is that the Lions tend to always lose these games -- and this year was no exception. It's all good tho, I still have mad love for all things Detroit. [Source]

Alicia Silverstone was among the celebs who took part in the PETA Veggie Thanksgiving Party ... here is a picture of Alicia and a very lucky turkey who will live to see another day and not end up as a feast for some family today:

Now, I'm not about to get all animal rights or anything but I think it's cool that celebs stand up and offer their support for alternative ways to celebrate the holidays. I am actually lying low today. I already had my Thanksgiving celebration last weekend in Detroit so I'm all good. But I hope y'all have a great day, whatever you choose to do today. Be thankful for what you have. [Source]

I'm sure Heidi Klum is very thankful that she finally gave birth her third child yesterday evening ... a bouncing baby boy who, according to her official website, will be named Johan:

Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel was born Wednesday at 5:01 p.m. in Los Angeles. "He is healthy, beautiful and looks just like his mother," according to the post signed by Seal. In announcing the 8 lb. 11 oz. arrival, the new dad wrote, "To our children, a brother/ To our parents, a grandson/ To my wife and I, a son/ To our family, a blessing." The baby is the third child for the supermodel and her second with the British singer, who is also father to the couple's 1-year-old son, Henry Guenther Ademola Dashtu Samuel. Klum's 2-year-old daughter, Leni, is from a previous relationship with Formula One manager Flavio Briatore. Klum, 33, and Seal, 43, confirmed that they were expecting another child exclusively to PEOPLE in June. Congrats to both Heidi and Seal on the birth of their second son. Methinks that it shant be long now before they decide to have at least one more. [Source]

Here is a picture of Jake Gyllenhaal sitting courtside at the LA Lakers vs. LA Clippers basketball game earlier this week:

Which reminds me, I am thankful that Jakey poo is so purdy. [Source]

Here are a couple of supercute pictures of Brad Pitt carrying his little baby girl Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt as they tried to make their way thru the throngs of people in Cambodia this week:

We knew that Angelina paid a surprise visit to Cambodia so I suppose we should've known that Brad would be along as well. This is the first time we've seen little Shiloh out in public in quite some time. It seems as if that baby was *just born* and now she's already so big. [Source]

But Brangelina and co. didn't stay in Cambodia for long ... here is a cute picture of Brad and Angelina riding around on a motor scooter in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam earlier today:

You gotta love Thanksgiving in Vietnam. Wherever in the world will the globe-trotting couple end up tomorrow? [Source]

Here are a few promo pictures from Jennifer Hudson's official website:

I cannot tell you how excited I am to get my hands on new music by Jennifer. I've already pre-ordered my copy of the Dreamgirls soundtrack and I can't wait for her to release her debut album on J Records next year. I am so impressed with her, I really think she is going to blow up big time ... just watch and see. [Source]

So did ya'll watch the hatchet-job that NBC did to Madonna's Confessions Tour show last night? I was expecting the edit for the Live to Tell performance, but I wasn't really expecting to deal with commercials in between pretty much every single song:

On the plus side, I felt the presentation kinda keep the spirit of the show intact and I can see how the eventual DVD release of the show (unedited, one hopes) will be a great thing to own. Overall, tho, I wasn't too impressed with all the edits in the NBC presentation of the show but it wasn't horrible ... at the very least, it was a free way to get a good feel for her show. If you missed the show last night or just want to watch the performance again you can watch each song performance on YouTube by clicking below:

And finally, Pink reader Theresa sent me this picture a little while ago and I decided to save it so that I could post it today:

I am so thankful for another great year of blogging. I've been doing this for so long that it's pretty much second nature to me by now ... but it is so amazing when I hear from so many people how much they like my blog. I don't think I'll ever tire of blogging (in one way or another) and neither do I think that I'll ever tire from hearing from people who enjoy what I do. Thank you all so much! I <3 all y'all bitches! [thanks Theresa]

Les News:
No Newslinks Today ... Go EAT!

So ... the K-Fed concert ... where to begin ..? The doors for the House of Blues show opened at 9pm so I thought it would be wise to get there a little after. It was only after I got inside the venue that I found out that he wouldn't be taking the stage until 11pm! The place was pretty empty (but there were a few people already there, including a girl wearing a t-shirt that read F*ck K-Fed Haters) but the DJ was playing some great stuff so I figured ... what the hell ... I drank a few Ketel and tonics and got myself ready for the show that we all were anxiously awaiting ... finally, a little bit after 11, Kevin Federline took the stage:

Cameras of any kind are strictly foreboden at the House of Blues but they have no problem with camera phones so I was able to take some pictures to share with y'all. I gotta say, I kinda had fun. How much of that fun was due to the Ketel and tonics, I don't know, but I did find myself having a good time.

The truth is that K-Fed is a bad rapper ... but I kinda have to give him an ounce of props for continuing to take the stage in wake of his break-up from Britney. The haters were out in full force (many of them throwing drinks onto the stage) and yet, the show went on. One of his boys on stage asked the question, Why do they hate you K-Fed? And he said something like, I dunno -- maybe because I took their queen. What a dork. Also, in his song Lose Control he added the line "I married an ex-superstar" which made him sound like a douche.

The z-list really came out to support K-Fed's LA show ... we had Pauley Shore, Ron Jeremy and (ick) Kimberly Stewart. Need I say more? I heard that there were only 70 tickets sold for the show (compared to only 35 that were sold at the cancelled Anaheim HoB show) -- so yeah, I don't think he really has much of a future in performing. I'm glad I got to see him when I had the chance.

Much love goes out to Erica and Phil (for the awesome hookup), Laura and her boyfriend, Christy (all pictured above) Noah, Katrina and all the other peeps I got to meet last night. It was great hangin' out with all of you!

It's a lazy day ... I think it's gonna be a lazy few days to come.

Last thing ... I have to say that I am very thankful for the health and well-being of my family and friends. I'm thankful that I have David in my life and I'm thankful that I finally got to move to LA. And that is all I have to say about that ... I'm out.
