Homeward Bound
Thankfully, I managed to get home from Detroit without incident. It's not so much that I was worried that something else might go wrong on my return flight to LA but ... well ... let's just say I was wary. My flight was actually very enjoyable. But enough of all of that ... let's get to it ...
Tori Spelling lost a large portion of her baby weight yesterday when she finally gave birth to her first child, a boy named Liam Aaron, by way of C-section yesterday afternoon ... but the big news surrounding the birth is that Tori finally made up with her mother Candy Spelling just in time for the little tyke's arrival:

Actress Tori Spelling has given birth to a baby boy with husband actor Dean McDermott, Access Hollywood has confirmed. Liam Aaron McDermott, who weighed 6 lbs, 6 oz, was born March 13th at a Los Angeles hospital. Access has learned the baby was delivered via C-section and that Tori's mother Candy was at the hospital at the time of the delivery. Tori arrived at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles around 9:30 p.m. on Monday after her water broke. In an interview today, Tori's brother, Randy Spelling talked to Access Hollywood's Maria Menounos about the recent reconciliation between Tori and her mother. "Have your mom and Tori been talking?" Access' Maria Menounos asked Randy. "They've been communicating back and forth. I know my mom is there with her right now. She's been with her all morning," Randy revealed. "Do you think the birth of the first grandchild is the only thing that could bring them together?" Maria asked. "I think it's a culmination of things. I think when you're family, you have your ups and downs, but hopefully you all come back together," Randy said. "And I'm sure the baby just makes that happen quicker." Well, it's about time all the bickering came to an end. It's nice that the baby's birth could be used as a tool to heal the rift between the Spelling women ... let's see if it lasts. Madge looks great ... tho, I'm not sure I'm feeling the hair over the eye thing (unfortunately, that was a look I tried back in high school that was met with disastrous results ... don't ask ... I am still living with the shame of my senior photos). Michael Lohan, the famously estranged father of Lindsay Lohan, was released from prison yesterday and he's ready to mend fences with his little girl. "I don't want them to fall into the same traps I did." As well as multiple living quarters, the house boasts ocean views, a games room, private gym and sauna, swimming pool and massive back garden. Bel Air estate agent Joel Cunningham, who reportedly showed the stick-thin star round the property, said: "Mrs Beckham was very impressed with the property overall, especially the ocean views which can be enjoyed from the bedroom. "She also was impressed by the close proximity to the local amenities and schools. Elton John appears to be getting a little more reserved ... a touch less flamboyant ... as he enters his golden years. How else does one explain the conservative outfit that he wore to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday and his own upcoming 60th birthday?
Here he is, dressed up in characteristically flamboyant manner as a Russian general as he helped celebrate artist Sam Taylor-Wood's 40th birthday at a fancy dress party in the East End. While Sir Elton - who is also celebrating his 60th birthday - looked as if he was getting ready to inspect the May Day parade on Red Square, his partner David Furnish came in a US Marine captain's dress uniform, proving that yes, it really is true what they have been saying - the Cold War IS over. You know ... it's a pretty good rule of thumb that when old men start wearing military uniforms out in public that they are pretty much going crazy (I suppose the same can be said for Michael Jackson at any age). The other gents at the shindig (Hugh Grant, Sir Paul McCartney and Sting) all looked great in their finery. Good Charlotte have embarked on a promo tour for their new album Good Morning Revival (which hits stores in a couple of weeks) and Pink reader Niko was lucky enough to catch their first Good Morning Revival show in Copenhagen last night:
Niko reports that the show was a short session concert which consisted of only 10 songs ... but 3 of those songs were new tracks of their new album. It appears the boys will be touring pretty extensively in Europe and Asia for the next few months as no US dates have been announced yet (that I can tell). Buffy lives! The much-anticipated 8th season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer debuts today -- in comic book form:
Buffy creator Joss Whedon promises that the new comic series will carry on the storyline as it was left off in season 7 when the show ended its television run a couple of years ago. While I'd much rather have a live-action version of the continuing tale (WITH all the original actors), I realize that that can't happen. This comic series sounds like a pretty good compromise to me. From what I understand, there will a lot of surprising developments introduced in the storyline ... and beloved characters will be brought back. I am very excited to find out how things have been going since ... well, Sunnydale imploded. God ... I love Buffy :) [Source]
Nine Inch Nails have officially released the first single, Survivalism, of their new album Year Zero ... here is the cover artwork:
The song can be downloaded from iTunes or purchased on import CDs. Additionally, the song is available for download at the official NIN website in multitrack session form so that users can make their own remixes. The event will be hosted by Carmen Electra, who I am *very* excited to see again! I hope to have fun pictures to share tomorrow.
