The way I understand it, Britters and the bodyguard up and left the show after sitting thru just an hour of the performance. Now, I can forgive Britney Spears many things (chief among them, her disastrous decision to wed and then spawn with Kevin Federline) but for her to go around dissin' Wicked (and the LA cast of Wicked for that matter) is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS! I can't think of a show that so fully captured my heart and imagination like Wicked did so immediately ... and to think that Britney wasn't feeling it at all ... to the point where she had to leave early? Well ... I can't say that I understand at all. What the hell is wrong with her? Boo!!! [Source]
Live Earth, the global concert series that is trying to raise eco-awareness, is underway here in the US and all across the globe. The first shows got started in Sydney, Australia and Tokyo, Japan and then started getting underway in other major cities as the day broke earlier today. Here are a few pictures from 4 of the Live Earth concert sites that have already gotten the party started:

Color this rock green. In a series of Live Earth concerts across seven continents, rock bands sent out an SOS to the planet on Saturday – and kicked off 24 hours of partying on a global scale. In London, the show at Wembley Stadium was opened with a drumming session by a troupe calling themselves the SOS All Stars led by Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters, Roger Taylor of Queen and Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers. They were followed by Genesis, the band fronted by Phil Collins, who are on a comeback tour. Ending on a flourish of "Invisible Touch," Collins called out, "Have a lovely afternoon around the world. Don't forget to sign the Live Earth pledge." Guest presenter comedian Eddie Izzard recognized the criticism that has been thrown at some of the biggest entertainers in the world – the same people who use private jets to move from appearance to appearance. "We are probably more guilty than anyone with all this flying around and stuff," he told the 65,000-strong crowd. Live Earth is organized by former Vice President Al Gore with the aim of raising awareness about global warming. More than 100 acts signed up to play in a 24-hour marathon of shows on seven continents in front of an estimated audience of 2 billion who will watch on TV and over the Internet. The Wembley concert followed gigs in Sydney and Tokyo. Later, at Giants Stadium, New York, a massive bash starring Bon Jovi, The Police, Keith Urban, Kanye West and Kelly Clarkson kicks off the American party. In an address to the first concert in Sydney, Australia, Gore appeared, telling the crowd, "Now is the time to begin to heal the planet," Reuters reports. Regardless of whether or not you think that this mega global concert series will do much to raise awareness (or will even help the situation at all) you have to give Al Gore props for having the vision to at least try and make a difference. I'm always amazed when huge festivals like this manage to bring together such diverse acts for a common cause ... the fact that this is happening all across the globe on one single day is very impressive. The Live Earth concerts are airing all day long on stations like Bravo, BBC and NBC and is streaming live online at liveearth.msn.com. [Source]
Yesterday we saw pictures of Paris Hilton emerging from a private acting lesson in Bel Air, CA and today we have pictures of her emerging from a private singing lesson. It would seem that Paris is really taking her work seriously and is striving to be the best actress and singer that she can be:

I wish her all the luck in the world in this endeavor. Like, seriously. [Source]
BUT, Paris isn't putting all of her eggs in just the acting/singing basket (thank Gawd). It appears that Paris has other business ventures in the works ... like, say for example, her own line of hair extensions called Clip & Go by Paris Hilton. Hmm ... it looks like Paris is taking a page from the Jessica Simpson playbook who already has her own line of hair extensions on the market:
Wear it! Flirt it! Flaunt it! exclaims the tag line on the side of the box of fake hair. Um. Yeah, no. I suggest you Pass on it. [Source]
Woooooooot! Here are a couple more pictures of David Beckham's tight bod all squeezed into spandex clothing as he goes for another bike ride in France:

Le sigh, indeed! [Source]
In other hot man news, here are new pictures of Matthew McConaughey workin' out by the sea shore:

You know, Matty spends all of his time working that bod out, does he ever make time to use it? It would be an absolute shame if he worked so hard to get his body so limber and flexy and then never got the chance to put it to good use. [Source]
Here is a picture of newlyweds Eva Longoria and Tony Parker yesterday after they were officially married in a civil service in Paris, France:
Eva looks thrilled, Tony looks deranged ... ah, such is love. You will note that the dudes standing in the background look like Tony's buddies from those yacht pictures we saw last weekend. I'd have to see their bare asses to be sure but I think I'm right. [Source]

Speaking of love, my dear Sarah and Mark sent me these great pics from the Detroit Tigers game they attended yesterday:
These pics really made me feel a bit better ... so I just had to share.
Mike invited me out for dinner last night so we went to Luna Park to eat, drink and try to be merry. In the end, I had a great time with him ... he's a great friend and I love him for it. Afterwards we met up with my buds David, Corey and their friend Jeff who just moved to LA from Philadelphia.
We drank some more, talked about stuff and just really had a nice time. I love those guys too.
I guess I'm doing alright ... stuff is still hard to deal with but I'm trying to be as OK as I can. I'm trying not to stay in and wallow so I may go out again tonight with my dear friend Gillian. She made me an offer that I don't think I can resist so ...
I soldier on. Have a great weekend, y'all! I heart you!
