Brave New Girl
Here is our first look at Britney Spears going out in public sans wig, sans weave, sans hat -- just Britney and her natural hair:

You may recall that the last time we saw Britney without any head decor at all was right after she flipped out last winter and shaved off all of her hair. I think there was about a 20 minute window where she was fine with showing off her bald head and then something changed and she started wearing scarves, hats and awful wigs. It's nice to see that her hair has grown back considerably since then but she's got a long way to go to get back to her normal look. She does look a bit older with her hair like this, like a bona fide soccer mom, I think. I'm not a big fan of her extensions, I think it'd be awesome if she just owned this look and rocked it right. Brit Brit's most recent BFF, Cousin Alli Sims, seems to be straying a bit from our dear Britney. Here are pictures of Cousin Alli chillin' with some new friends at Paris Hilton's Malibu, CA beach house yesterday afternoon:

Hmmm ... I don't know that this is a good idea. I don't believe that Britney and Paris are friends anymore (we all remember what happened when they were hanging out all the time together) and I don't know that it's wise for Cousin Alli to be hanging out with this new group of friends. Something tells me that Cousin Alli has her sights set on something bigger than just being Britney's shadow and this may be her first foray into making a break for it. Brit's former assistant Shannon Funk ended up screwing Britney (royally), could it be that Cousin Alli will end up doing the same thing? [Source]
Speaking of Paris, she was just in her own little world this weekend, as usual, trying to look fab in her shiny gold bathing suit ...
... playing with babies, writhing to the music -- keeping herself out of trubs. I dunno, I'm starting to think that Paris's time in the slammer may have really taught her a valuable lesson. Her party schedule has lessened considerably since her release from jail ... she's actually managed to keep her nose clean. Could our fave little heiress have really turned over a new leaf? [Source]
Last night the LA Galaxy took on the New York Red Bulls for the first time since #23 David Beckham joined the team and by pretty much all accounts, both teams performed extremely well, pulling off a nail-biting game that resulted in a close 5-4 Red Bulls victory over the Galaxy. David Beckham made his first MLS start in last night's game, managed to clock around 90 minutes of playing time and looked absolutely thrilled to be rested, healed and back in action:
David Beckham made his first Major League Soccer start, Giants Stadium filled back up for soccer and the Galaxy and Red Bulls filled the net at a near-record pace. Bringing back memories of the days Pele, Franz Beckenbauer and Giorgio Chinaglia brought excitement to soccer in the United States more than 25 years ago, Beckham drew 66,237 and helped set up three goals as Los Angeles lost a wild one, 5-4 to New York on Saturday night. Giants Stadium is nearly empty for most Red Bulls' games -- the team's average of 11,573 for its first 10 home matches was next to last in the league. The crowd that came out for Beckham was the largest in franchise history and the largest there for a U.S. league game since the Cosmos drew 70,312 against Fort Lauderdale on June 22, 1980. "It makes you feel great. It makes you feel honored," Beckham said. "And hopefully, it continues, because this is what this league needs, this is what this sport needs in America." Beckham played his first full game since joining the Galaxy last month and did it on artificial turf, no less. An injured left ankle had caused the 32-year-old midfielder to miss five games and come in as a late sub in two others. He made his first start Wednesday, playing 63 minutes in a SuperLiga match. He limped at the end and his ankle was swollen, but he hopes to make his 97th appearance for England in an exhibition against Germany at Wembley on Wednesday night, then play eight time zones away Thursday night in MLS's version of a soccer "derby" -- Los Angeles vs. Chivas USA in Carson, California. "My ankle took quite a bit of pounding, of course. It's a surface that I'm obviously not used to playing on," he said. "There was a couple of instances that I sort of went over on my ankle. But at the end of the day we have to play on this surface." It was the 10th time in MLS history teams combined for nine or more goals and just two shy of the record set when Los Angeles beat Columbus 7-4 on May 6, 1998. "It was very different," Beckham said. "I haven't been involved in a game like that since I was 9 or 10 years old, where there were so many goals." Fans showed some support for the home team, many booing Beckham when he took corner kicks and free kicks. But they also lit up the stadium with camera flashes when he took his restarts, and they cheered him when he left the field, shirtless, displaying his many tattoos ... Beckham set up Carlos Pavon for goals in the sixth and eighth minutes, first with a corner kick and then with a 37-yard free kick. After current U.S. star Landon Donovan scored in the 71st, Beckham's corner kick in the 82nd led the goal that made it 4-all, with Edson Buddle scoring after Kyle Veris' header went off a post. "Every ball he touched was a piece of magic," New York's Juan Pablo Angel said. But that wasn't enough for Los Angeles (3-8-5), which has lost three straight MLS games and is 0-3-2 in its last five. It was a miserable night for the goalkeepers, Ronald Waterreus of the Red Bulls and Joe Cannon of the Galaxy. Even tho the Galaxy lost I couldn't be more thrilled that Becks was not only able to start the game but he managed to stay in play for a considerable amount of time. He's gonna hafta get over that artificial turf thing ... which I'm sure he'll be able to do in no time. Pink reader Sheila was among the 66k who were in attendance at last night's Galaxy vs. Red Bulls game and sends in this short report/gush:
ohmygawddddd.... i got back from tonight's match of the la galaxy vs the ny red bulls. i dont have much to say other than how freakin exciting it was for becks to play all 90 minutes (plus 7 minutes of stoppage time). the match was insane - there were 66,000 fans there and the score was 5-4. becks said he hasn't had a match like that since he was 9 or 10 yrs old. we lost - but he took his shirt off so, really, there are no losers... he was HAWTNESS.
Sounds like a really great game. So Becks is off to England next before he flies all the way back to LA this week to play at home again. I am *SO* bummed that I'm missing the game this week ... Becks is sure to play in the game vs. Chivas and I'm gonna be in NYC. Ah well, I'm counting on my LA peeps to lemme know how things go when he takes the pitch in Thursday night's game. [Source]
While Becksie poo was off thrilling the fans in NYC, wifey Vicki B. remained at home with the kiddies to do a little bonding with the boys. Vicks and the boys went for a little boat ride this weekend and here are a couple of really supercute pics of VB lookin' all cute with her littest child, Cruz:
VB may be a cold-hearted robot but she can turn on the emotional charm from time to time. The pic of her kissing Cruz has to be the cutest thing ever. While I'm sure all of the Beckhams wish they could've been in NYC to cheer on Daddykins, I'm sure they did a fine job of keeping themselves occupied in the meantime. [Source]
Vicki B. wasn't the only celeb who hauled her kiddies to the shore for some boat-riding fun, here are pictures of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt carting their kids Maddox Jolie-Pitt, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt and Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt onboard a boat named the Chicago Messenger in Chicago, IL for a three hour tour ... a three hour tour:
I love that the kids are strapped into bright yellow life jackets before they are allowed to board the boat. Britney Spears has taken her children for numerous boat rides in recent months and I don't recall seeing either one of them ever wearing a life jacket or life-saving device of any sort. Isn't that interesting? Anyways, I wonder if Brangelina have a book of things for them to do with the kids on their off days ... like they wake up and go, "Oh, today is museum day!" "Today we're going for a boat ride!" "Today we're going to adopt a new brother or sister!" Actually, they have been a very happy six-some for a while now -- I think it's about time they pick up another kid somewhere out there. Tho, they prolly like having the family at an even number ... of course they could always adopt twins :) [Source]
What's this? Could the newest Hollywood "It"
Maybe he just had a mishap with his fake suntanner ... a blotchy orange face ain't cute you know. I just hope that Zac isn't getting to big for his britches already, he seems like a pretty chill kid ... so far. [Source]
And speaking of getting too big for one's britches, here are a couple of extremely unfortunate photos of Kimberly Stewart showing off her assets at the beach over the weekend:
Blech! Either Kim Stew needs to start wearing bathing suits that actually over her body parts (preferably, all of them) or she needs to start going out in public inside Lily Allen's huge sack. In fact, I think I'd prefer the second option ... it would be best for everyone if she just went out in public entirely inside a bag. [Source]
OY ... let's bring the SexyBack, shall we? It's time for the Hot Dude of the Week ... let's all say hello to the broody Bryan:

One of the things I love most about living in Southern California is my close proximity to the beaches. Not only can one enjoy the sun and surf at the beach but one can also enjoy the views ... like this one of Bryan. Sure, most guys don't sit around at the beach in their underwear ... but they do tend to sometimes wear even skimpier, wetter, little shorts that have more to offer. Hmm. Yes, I'm gonna miss the beach this week that I'm gonna be in NYC but at least I'll have something to look forward to. Wee! Enjoy :) [Source]
