2 Cute

Today was Princess Zakiya's second birthday and I wanted to post a few pictures from her birthday party today before the day ends. Everyone met up at Tracey's place for the party where Z got showered with tons of amazing presents including her own DJ machine, a Little Tikes digital camera (that really takes digital photos), a Detroit Shock WNBA jersey and a pair of Burberry boots -- homegirl is pimpin'. Here are a few pics from today's party:

Here is Z with her working digital camera and a few pics that she took with it:

And a few more pics to round out this short post:

Here is a short video of Zakiya playing with the Tickle Me Elmo that David got for her, listen closely and you can hear her ask Elmo if he's "OK" as he throws a fit on the floor:

OMG ... so cute! We all had a great day celebrating the big 2 with Zakiya ... as the numerous pics can attest :)

Cat Scratch Fever

Ah Ha! It is all finally starting to make sense to me now ... I think I get why Britney Spears decided to make nice with the formerly exiled Cousin Alli ... who else could be trusted to take care of Brit's most intimate needs and personal errands than someone in the family? Here are pics of Cousin Alli Sims transporting Britney's new toy, her Yorkie London, to a very important veterinarian appointment:

It's nice that Cousin Alli appears to have put her singing/acting career aspirations on the backburner so that she can be available at all times to, once again, take care of Brit's every bidding ... to be on hand for her every beck and call. Sounds like a great life to me. I'm pretty sure that Cousin Alli has learned her lesson and won't be wantin' to get on Brit Brit's bad side again ... because as Britney Spears giveth, so does she taketh away. [Source]

Day 2 at the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago, IL took place yesterday and a whole slew of performers took to the concert stage. Here are a few pictures from some of the performers who played Lollapalooza yesterday ... along with one fan who, altho was prolly having a great time at the show, was prolly thinking back to the way he spent his summer last year:

Karen O. of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Patti Smith are just so incredibly cool ... as is newcomer Regina Spektor. The Lollapalooza bill this year just looks really cool overall. It's nice to see Lance Armstrong out and about again these days ... tho, I'm sure he (as well as I) really miss those hot summer days last year when he was joined at the hip with both Jake Gyllenhaal and Matthew McConaughey. It's hard to believe that it was a year ago that the trifecta were out running wild together when it only seems like yesterday. Anyways, it was genius of Perry Farrell (creator and mastermind) to decide to make Lollapalooza a hugely successful annual 3-day festival rather than a struggling tour on the brink of collapse. I'm gonna have to get my butt out to Chicago for the festival one of these years. [Source]

Holy shizz! Just when you thought it was safe to get back on the road without having to worry about Lindsay Lohan creepin' up on you and terrifying you with her crazy ass behind the wheel comes these new pictures of little sis Ali Lohan getting in some driving practice with a few friends:

I don't know that the world is ready for the next generation of Lohans to be driving on the open roads just yet. [thanks Derek]

Here is the latest David Beckham news o' the day ... the good news is that Becks made the trek up North with his team for their game against the Toronto FC (you may recall that he did not travel to Dallas, TX to be with his team last week), the bad news is that he is not expected to play in the game due to his, you guessed it, still-injured ankle. Boo. In other positive news, it looks like Becks is no longer shying away from pressing the flesh with his fans (something that he has avoided doing since joining the LA Galaxy so as not to take away focus from his team as a whole) ... here are pictures of Becks greeting his Toronto fans and then a couple of pics from the LA Galaxy press conference yesterday afternoon:

David Beckham has all but ruled himself out of making his Major League Soccer debut in Toronto on Sunday night. Beckham held a press conference in the Canadian city on Saturday, called to promote his appearance for the Los Angeles Galaxy in their MLS game against Toronto FC at BMO Field. But the England midfielder admitted he had still not fully recovered from an ankle injury that has limited his playing time to a 78th minute substitute's appearance in a friendly against Chelsea two weeks ago. "Unless there's a drastic change I won't be playing tomorrow," Beckham told reporters. "Today was the first time that I ran. Running straight forward is not a problem, but turning corners is still a problem and I don't think I'll be involved in the game." Beckham even threw into doubt his participation in the Galaxy's next game, this Thursday against DC United in Washington. "It would be nice to play some part of the game in Washington but I'll just have to keep my fingers' crossed," he said. "A week to 10 days is what I'm looking at." As I've said numerous times, it's smarter to have him heal his ankle rather than risk further injury just to appease a few frustrated fans ... tho, I dunno that it would be wise to keep folks waiting forever. Of the 5 games that have been played since his arrival here in the US, he has only clocked about 12 mins. of playing time in that first game vs. Chelsea. I am hoping that he will be able to play for a considerable amount of time in the next Galaxy home game on August 23 ... but, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. [Source]

Yesterday I posted a couple pictures of Kylie Minogue all dolled up in a beautiful white gown as she made her way to the 20-year anniversary party for the release of her first single, The Locomotion, in London, England ... here are a couple pictures of Kylie, wearing something a bit more comfortable (ie. skimpier) as she made her way out of the after party to her anniversary party in the wee hours of the morning:

It's rare that Kylie Minogue is caught lookin’ unkept (and even in these pics she doesn't look wrecked or anything) so it's cute to see her looking a bit ragged after a long night of partying. Ah, I do love her so. [Source]

Here are new pictures of Sarah Michelle Gellar out and about in LA this weekend running a few errands, grabbing some lunch with friends, as she shows off her darker and shorter hairstyle:

As much as I love SMG with her longer, blonde locks, I do like that she is always willing to change up her style and rock different looks (and this one hearkens back a bit to her Cruel Intetions days). Interestingly enough, Alyson Hannigan has recently darkened her hair to rave reviews ... not that that has anything to do with SMG's decision to change up her look but, you never know. I know if I were in her position, I wouldn't mind lookin' as hot as Alyson Hannigan (which actually sounds a bit weirder than I intended). [Source]

SMG isn't the only one showin' off a new look these days ... here are a couple screencaps from Nicole Richie showing off her burgeoning baby bump during the final (and longest) installment of her interview with Diane Sawyer which aired on 20/20 on Friday night:

Her little stomach looks really cute but I can't tell if it's because of her maternityesque blouse or because of the bump itself. I'm pretty sure that Nicole isn't going to make it easy for the paps to get a shot of her expanding belly in the coming weeks and months but I hope we do get to sneak a peek every once-in-a-while ;) [Source]

Heath Ledger was caught shooting new scenes for The Dark Knight in Chicago, IL recently in full Joker make-up. These pics aren't the clearest because they come from a video that was shot from some distance but they give you a pretty good idea of what's going on ... I think:

Okay, so maybe it's not really all that clear what the hell he's doing but you can click HERE to watch the video for yourself and make that determination. [Source]

Here is the first poster artwork for the newest installment of the Indiana Jones franchise, Indiana Jones and the Retirement Home of Doom:

Hee hee, all kidding aside, I love that Harrison Ford is putting the hat back on for one last go as Indiana Jones. He may not be as spry as he used to be but I have every confidence that Steven Spielberg is gonna make him look pimp as hell in this new movie. [Source, Source]

A'ight ... I feel like I kinda have to make up for that Kurt Russell peen that got thrown your way yesterday. I can't help but feel a little responsible for all those nightmares that I'm sure many of y'all suffered with last night. So, here are pics of the Spanish futbol team wearing uniforms that were solely painted onto their nekkid bodies:

Click above to see larger, uncensored NSFW image

Yeah, I realize that there are a lot of stars on these pics but it was necessary to utilize them because there is a lot of peen in the pics. Remember, the pics are NSFW but if you check 'em out, I think you'll agree that the pics more than make up for Kurt Russell's nekkidness :) [Source]

And finally, it's time for the Hot Dude of the Week ... this time around we got ourselves a good ol' country boy named John:

Yeah, it's dudes like John that make me yearn for the good ol' days back in Oklahoma. There is something about a shirtless dude with a straw hat that makes me wanna scream YEE HAW ... in my pants. Enjoy :) [Source]

Les News:
Yesterday afternoon, after chillin' with my folks for a bit here at home, I met up with Sarah and Mark and we made our way downtown to watch the Detroit Tigers take on the Chicago White Sox at Comerica Park. We had to get there a bit early to pick up our tickets so we grabbed a bit to eat at Cheli's before hitting the game. After we were fed and sated, we made our way to the park for the game. Here are a few pics from our afternoon:

The game was really fun and despite a valiant effort late in the game, the Tigers weren't able to pull off a win against the Sox. Boo. Aside for the loss of the game, we all had a fun time.

After the game was finished, Mark took us for a drive in our old neighborhood in Grosse Point and St. Clair Shores and we even stopped for a late-night bit to eat at Mama Rosa's in Grosse Point Park. Then we drove along Lake St. Clair on Lakeshore Drive for a bit before returning home. It was really nice seeing our old stomping grounds again after being away for so long.

This afternoon, I'll be bizzy with Princess Zakiya at her 2nd birthday party. I will show up loaded with presents and plan to come back with a whole lotta fun pix. So ... until then, I am out.
