Death Berates Her

Okay ... show of hands ... how many of you would be shocked to learn that it's possible that Britney Spears may have been involved in another fender bender recently? Yeah, I didn't think so. You may recall that Britney was recently charged with a hit and run violation for damaging a parked vehicle with her black car back in early August, which is bad enough, but this week was spotted driving around Santa Monica, CA in her white car -- which is sporting a pretty bad dent in the front right corner:

The front right corner, which was the part of her black car that she ran into the aforementioned parked car, seems to be Britney's favorite part of her car to bash into things. It's unclear what Britney hit because, unlike the other instance, there is no video recording of this new incident ... but, if you live in the Southern California area you might want to check your vehicle for damage ... you never know if you might've been the next lucky person to have had a personal, ahem, "run-in" with Britney Spears. [Source]

Incidentally, a few folks have emailed to ask why Britney is being allowed to drive after she was cited for not having a California driver's license ... I think the answer that makes most sense is that she still has a valid Louisiana driver's license since she maintains a residence there as well.

Okay ... moving on ... Natalie Portman, Jason Schwartzman and director Wes Anderson were all on hand in NYC last night for a special premiere of the short film Hotel Chevalier at the Apple Store in SoHo ... here are a few pics:

Hotel Chevalier is the prologue to the new Anderson movie The Darjeeling Limited (which opens this weekend in limited release) that stars Natalie and Jason in the quirky yet sexy little film. The way I understand it, this short film will not be shown in front of the main movie when it gets released to theaters. It is only being screened at special screenings, some premieres and film festivals (and then, eventually, on DVD). Supposedly, the film will be available for viewing online, as Wes Anderson has intended, so that everyone can see the prologue before they see the full length movie in theaters. I was able to see this short film in front of the screening of The Darjeeling Limited I saw a few weeks ago and, while I liked it, I feel that you're really not missing all that much if you don't see it. The prologue gives some backstory to one of the main characters in the full length movie but it's not really prevalent or mentioned very much (except in passing). BUT, I guess the short film is important enough to have its own premiere. Natalie Portman fans might want to make an effort to seek this short film out tho, she's mostly naked in a few scenes. Jennifer Lopez and her zomibfied hubby Marc Anthony were both on hand at PS 36, Unionport School in the Bronx, NY for a kickoff event of their joint world tour, En Concierto. Here are a few pics:

Meh ... I get that J. Lo loves him and stuff (blah, blah, blah) but I'm not really all that interested in seeing her live if I have to endure the warbling of Marc Anthony as well. Even tho she'll most likely be doing her own set, he's invariably gonna make his way to her stage to sing a couple of duets with her. Yeah, no thanks. I do heart her tho! [Source]

Here are a few pics of Jennifer Hudson on the set of the new Sex and the City movie which is currently in production in NYC. I'm fairly certain that these photos pose no spoiler risk but, invariably, there might be folks who might think otherwise so IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE JENNIFER HUDSON DRESSED IN COSTUME ON THE SET OF THE NEW SEX AND THE CITY MOVIE WHICH WON'T BE RELEASED IN THEATERS UNTIL MAY 2008 THEN AVERT YOUR EYES AND SKIP THIS NEXT SET OF PICS:

Yeah, except for the funky boots, I'm sure we'd have no idea that she was on the set of any movie judging by these pics alone. She looks good tho. I think it's very smart of J. Hud to appear in the new Sex and the City movie ... which will be hyped up to the high heavens until its release next year. I somehow doubt that she'll be garnering any Academy Award nominations for this role but I don't think that's the point. She's about to become a part of pop culture history ... not too shabby for her follow-up film to Dreamgirls. [Source]

And speaking of sex and the city, or should I say sexy and the city, here are a couple pics of Hayden Panettiere making a graceful exit from her chauffeured SUV in NYC this week:

It's rare that Hayden gets caught off guard lookin' notsohot but everyone looks sorta fug when they're caught in mid blink/laugh/cough/hiccup/etc. like this. But even with that unfortunate facial expression her hair still looks great. It's hard for the girl to take a bad pic. [Source]

Here are a few pics of boozehound Kiefer Sutherland as he stopped to sign a few autographs outside of Area earlier this week just a few moments before he got behind the wheel of his car while intoxicated ... only to be pulled over and arrested for drunk driving:

It's interesting that all of those police officers are standing idly by right behind him thruout this process and none of them thought to advise him not to get behind the wheel of a car if he was drunk ... not that they'd necessarily know but still ... he had just come out of a club ... did it not occur to anyone that he might've had a few drinks? I know Kiefer is a big boy who should know better, but ... if only one thing had happened differently as these pics were taken the ugly incident might never have happened ... at least that night. Nicole Richie and Joel Madden's quick trip to Hawaii to celebrate her 26th birthday has already come to an end ... here are pics of Nic/Joel as they tried to make their way thru LAX airport, upon their arrival, thru a sea of paps:

Joel looks so protective of his Nicole ... even in that Member's Only jacket, you can tell that he means serious biz and shouldn't be messed with. [Source]

Elsewhere in LA, Jake Gyllenhaal was spotted making his way out of Joan's on Third where he likely dined and grabbed a cup of coffee to go:

Yeah, the pics aren't all that sexy ... but it is the first time Jakey poo was spotted out and about since he was spied chatting up his rumored paramour Reese Witherspoon at the Rufus Wainwright afterparty at Carrie Fisher's home in Beverly Hills this past Sunday night. Even when the boy ain't doin' nothing at all does he look megahot. [Source]

Now ... I know you may find this entirely too impossible to believe but here are a few photos of Matthew McConaughey shooting a new commercial ... and he's actually wearing clothes ...

... like, an entire outfit of clothes ... on his body! Not only am I shocked as hell to see his pecs completely covered up but ... I'm shocked at how good he looks fully clothed. Hmmm. I had damn near totally forgotten. [Source]

Rumors of Lindsay Lohan's eminent release from her Utah rehab center continue to swirl (the last I heard, she was supposed to be released last week but had to extend her stay because of an incident involving contraband alcoholic spirits on her person ... well, as far as the incident was relayed to me by an unknown source) and yet, she looks happy as can being in Utah ... where the temps. have cooled considerably. Here are a few pics of L. Lo taking a chilly smoke break:

She looks good ... well rested and serene. I still hate the fact that she's blackening her lungs and yellowing her teeth and nails with those disgusting cancer sticks she loves to smoke but ... baby steps. There is no rush for her to leave that treatment center ... irregardless of whether or not her stint was extended due to inappropriate uses of alcohol, I think it's a great idea for her to stay away and out of the limelight for a good long time. [Source]

Siouxsie Sioux, who has just released her debut solo album Mantaray in the UK, is bizzy on the promo tip ... here is video of a recent performance of her new single Here Comes the Day on her appearance on Channel 4:

I must admit, the performance is very impressive. The song translates well to live performance and she sounds great singing it. I ordered the import version of her album and I absolutely LOVE IT! I am so thrilled that she's doing the solo thing after so many years as frontwoman for the bands Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Creatures. At 50-whatever, she still has what it takes to kick ass. I just love her! [Source]

Here are a few new promo pictures of Miss Ashlee Simpson for her upcoming new album:

Ashlee's official website was recently updated to announce that her new album (thus far, the title hasn't been released) would be coming out in November ... but has since been amended with a December release month. I ain't gonna front ... I love Ashlee Simpson's music. Her debut album really takes me back to a great summer spent with Erik and I quite enjoyed a few songs of her follow-up album. I'm hopeful that this third album will be just as entertaining. She's trying my patience with all the ridiculous hats she loves to wear but ... sometimes we overlook these sorts of things for the people we care about. [Source]

In other new music news, here is the cover artwork for the new single Human by Skye Sweetnam, from her forthcoming album Sound Soldier:

This beautiful artwork was shot by my Tornoto homie Jordan Letkemann, who has been hired to photograph all the hot musicians who make their way or hail from Toronto. Skye has been away for far too long ... and from what I hear, her new music kicks all ass. Head on over to her official My Space page to preview some of her new tunes ... which you're bound to hear all over the place when the album finally gets released :) [Source]

And finally, Pink reader Brenda was lucky enough to get an early peek at Milo Ventimiligia's new movie Pathology and she sends in a couple of amazing screenshots from a sex scene were Milo's bootyliciousness is on display for a good while:

Click above to see larger, uncensored image

Brenda assures me that there is a lot more where this came from in the movie ... so you KNOW I'm gonna have to peep it out for myself. Woot! [thanks Brenda]

Les News:
Yesterday afternoon/evening Darion and I met up in Century City to grab some food and take in a movie. He has been planning on seeing the new movie Resident Evil: Extinction since the weekend, as had I, and last night was finally our night to see it. We grabbed a great meal at Houston's (where Darion shamelessly flirted with our waitress in order to find out if one of her co-workers was available) before seeing the movie:

So ... yeah ... movies based on video games aren't always the best movies to see BUT if you're a fan of the game then you might be a fan of the movies as well. I loved the first two Resident Evil movies and quite enjoyed this one as well, tho it didn't measure up to the others IMHO. Zombie movies have been in vogue for the past few years and now it seems about time to pick another monster to exploit. There isn't anything new and exciting that you can do with zombies at this point ... but RE:E gets a gold star for trying. Milla Jovovich is amazing as Alice, natch ... she always knows how to bring the hotness in an action flick like this (plus, this version of Alice hailed from the Umbrella Corporation's Detroit facility ... so, of course, she kicked ass -- holla!). I was concerned that Ashanti might muck up the movie but she wasn't half bad ... her semi-early death didn't hurt either (she was pecked to death by zombified birds). Ali Larter had a larger role which is great ... she tends to play second fiddle to other, younger girls in most of her projects (*cough* Hayden Panettiere *cough*) so it was nice to see her take the lead. There was a young blonde girl in this movie, too, but Ali was clearly the star ... the blonde chick (who bore a bit of a resemblance to Hayden, btw) was basically at the mercy of Ali's character Claire -- and her name was K-Mart (named after the place that Claire found her [LOL]).

I did have a few probs with the movie ... there seemed to be no shortage of gas and ammo (altho they kept looking for new reserves, they never seemed to run out), nor was the future post-apocalyptically destroyed Earth hurting for make-up, toothpaste or shaving implements (everyone looked amazing, in every scene ... not one had a single blemish). The ending was a bit ... rushed, I think ... and, naturally, it was left open for yet another sequel. The possibility of a new movie is intriguing but, again, what is left for the zombie movie genre that hasn't been done to, er, death?

That said ... I liked it ... Darion liked it, too. It wasn't my fave movie ever but we had a great time.

Sooooo ... I guess that's it ... not sure what's going on tonight, but I do know that there is something ... I think. Have a great one. I'm out.
