Today was a very busy day.
Project Weekend was in full swing today. Kirsten and Tracey came over to help out with various tasks for which Erik and I were extremely grateful. Kirsten brought over the finished curtains she sewed for our guest bedroom. They look amazing! The add so much to the room, making it feel very warm and very inviting. Tracey brought over her bad self and helped out with various tasks. She also brought exciting news about her new gentleman friend. I couldn't be more happy for her. You should have seen her as she was telling us about her recent exploits with the man. She lit up and just glowed as she relayed what was going on in her life since last we saw her. I love Kirsten and Tracey so much. They are dear, dear friends. Brandon was, once again, an integral member of the day's activities. He and Erik got everything done together. I love that kid!
This weekend was essentially the last free days of my summer vacation. While school doesn't officially begin for another 2 weeks, I have tons to do beforehand to prepare. I will be at work a lot this week and next week I am scheduled to be on campus for beginning of the school-year meetings, seminars, etc. What fun! I know that I was really dreading my return to work at around mid-July but I think I've had sufficient summer vacation that I will be okay once I'm back to work full time. We'll see how that actually goes for me.
Summer is over and it's time to get back to work. Yehaw!

Hurray! Today is
Tori Amos' birthday!! She turns a beautiful 41 today. You can honor her birthday by
making a donation to RAINN (The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) on their 10th Anniversary. I cannot even go into detail about what
Tori and her music mean to me.
She is such a stunning person to encounter that I wish everyone had the opportunity to do so. Her music continues to inspire and enliven the lives of
Toriphiles around the world. I really hope that Sarah and I can do the
Tori trip we've been talking about. Next year should be a blast with new
Tori music and a new
Tori tour.
So
Happy Birthday Tori! May you have many, many, many more birthdays to come!
