Merci Et Au Revoir

Welp, this is it ... it's our last morning here in Paris. We have had such an amazing holiday here. I absolutely loved it all ... I will definitely come back again. I can't lie, I'm a little sad to be leaving the city. We enjoyed a great 11 days but it feels like we haven't seen nearly enough. This post is going to be short because I have to wake up David, pack my shizz, make sure David didn't go back to sleep so he can pack his shizz and then check out of our hotel. Let's get to it ...

Much like all good things ... the romance between Lindsay Lohan and Harry Morton has, apparently, come to an end. There are reports that the break-up was sudden ... others that it was slow-building ... who really knows if they're totally dunzo altogether or not. Here are a few pictures from before the break-up, just around the break-up and after the break-up:

Lindsay Lohan and Harry Morton split up Thursday, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE – but now they seem to be speaking again. "They are together now," Lohan's rep tells PEOPLE. A source close to the actress adds: "They argue, they don't argue." At the moment, "They're communicating. They're hanging out. Whatever's going to transpire there is going to transpire." The outlook for the couple was more dire on Thursday. "Harry broke up with Lindsay yesterday at Chateau Marmont after they had dinner on the courtyard patio," a source tells PEOPLE. "Nothing happened at dinner, but shortly afterward, he broke up with her" ... However, the Lohan pal says, "No one 'dumped' anyone. You don't dump people when you're 20 and 25. You have a mature relationship, and you take a break and you see what happens. Everyone does that." Indeed, Lohan, 20, was spotted at Hollywood's Chateau Marmont on Thursday, running onto the patio where four of her friends were sitting – and weeping, a wad of tissues on one hand, her cell phone in the other. "She ran in, sat with her group, put down her cell phone and cried to her pals," an observer tells PEOPLE. "The group looked very concerned and listened intently to what she was saying." After the Chateau, Lohan went to Hyde Lounge, where she arrived around 12:30 a.m. and stayed until the hot spot closed at 2 a.m. She mingled with friends and didn't appear to be distraught: "She was having a blast," says one patron, "even with a broken hand." I have no doubt that Lindsay will bounce back in no time ... with a new dude on her arm. Ah summer love ... happened so fast. [Source, Source, Source]

Yesterday, while David and I were walking along the Champs-Elysees, we came upon a whole group of people standing in front of Planet Hollywood. As we pressed thru to continue on our way I was met by Pink reader Libby (Denver in the hizzy!) who was front and center for all the hoopla. She told me that Beyonce was on her way! We couldn't stay (we were on our way to the Louvre) but here are a couple pictures of Beyonce's arrival on the Champs-Elysees:

I believe she is in town to promote the release of B-Day. Not sure why she flashed her pit to the people of Paris but I suppose she meant no harm. I'm not sure that this is a very interesting tidbit ... I just thought it was cool that we practically ran into Beyonce here in Paris. [Source]

Nicole Richie celebrated her 25th birthday at Disneyland earlier this week ... here is a super cute picture of Nicole with Brody Jenner and some other friends as they rode Splash Mountain:

Can I just say that I love that Nicole wanted to spend her birthday at Disneyland. How cute is that? Jim and I have been talking about taking a little visit to the Happiest Place on Earth ourselves and since David had zero interest in checking out Parc Disneyland here in France, I think we're gonna hafta go. Blech! See ... if Lindsay Lohan doesn't start wearing a bra, this is what she's going to look like in 20 years:

I know that Barbara Streisand is really good friends with Bill Clinton, but I think this outfit is pretty inappropriate for an appearance at the Clinton Global Initiative (where this photo was taken). Actually, I think it's highly inappropriate for her to wear this outfit anywhere. Boo! [Source]

Here is a cute picture of Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal taking a stroll together in New York City:

Actually, at first I thought that Maggie was walking with her father until I realized it was Jakey poo wearing the sweater. Whatevs, I can't wait to see pictures of new uncle Jake holding his newborn niece or nephew. C'mon Mags, have that baby already! [Source]

Giorgio Armani, guest editing a special edition of The Independent newspaper which is meant to highlight the plight of Africa, decided that putting a black painted Kate Moss on the cover would help the cause:

Designer Giorgio Armani has briefly swapped fashion for editing - taking the reins at the Independent newspaper to highlight the plight of Africa. He splashed a picture of the controversial supermodel Kate Moss on the front page, with the paper itself focusing on the issues facing Africa. The Italian said he felt for children suffering from war and famine in Africa. The 72-year-old said one of his childhood friends had been killed by an unexploded shell in wartime Italy. "To this day, that event has affected me profoundly, and, when the war was over, I had to watch my mother foraging for food and see my father thrown into prison, along with all the Italian men who had worked for the state," he wrote ... Moss, who is reported to earn £30m a year, was painted head to toe in black for the front page photograph. Hmmm ... not sure, at all, how a black Kate Moss helps in this situation but I suppose it's meant to be artsy and spark debate. If anything, painting Kate Moss black and putting her on an African awareness newspaper, at the very least, garnered lots of publicity so that people may take notice. Eh ... I suppose this stunt is just a wee bit better than that "I Am African" campaign that Gwyneth Paltrow (and others) featured in. At least the photo seems less offensive. [Source]

And finally, here are a few preview photos from the soon-to-be-released 2007 Dieux Du Stade French rugby calendar ...

It's set for release next week and you can order your copy HERE. From what I've seen of the calendar pics so far, this year seems much more gay-porny that previous years. Wee! I can't wait to get my copy! [Source]

Les News:
Yes ... sad but true ... our trip is over. But yesterday was a great last day ... we did some shopping on the Champs-Elysees (I just *had* to get a souvenir from Louis Vuitton) and then spent the rest of the day at the Musee Louvre. The building alone is stunning ... the collection is massive ... the artwork, insanely impressive. While the paintings are spectacular (seeing the Mona Lisa in person was cool, but not nearly as heart-stopping as I envisioned -- and the room it was in looked *nothing* like the scene from Da Vinci Code) I think I was most impressed with the statuary. I cannot believe you can get right up and very close to them:

I'm not sure how many hours we spent there but we were seriously wiped out by the end. The museum visit was a great way to cap an amazing trip.

We had one last nice dinner and then came home to our hotel.

I want to write so much more ... but I have to go pack ... I'm not really looking forward to the 6-hour flight home, but I must be off.

Merci beaucoup, Paris! We had the time of our lives. We will be back!

XO
