Robot Onslaught

Head for the hills ... the invasion has begun. After a fresh tune up, an oil change and a battery recharge from her long sojourn to Los Angeles last week, Victoria Beckham has unleashed her fury upon the world -- well, actually she showed up at Paris Fashion Week where she has joined forces with none other than Mrs. Tom Cruise herself. Victoria and Katie Holmes made quite a scene by showing up together for the opening of the newest Armani store in Paris, France:

It's interesting that Tom lets Katie hang out so much with the robotic one. He obviously wants to get Posh and Becks to join the church of Scientology at all costs (he ain't their Christ for nothing, you know). It's nice that Victoria Beckham has finally found a friend to hang out with ... it's hard for robots to find people to hang out with -- Katie seems like a custom-made friend. A-HA! It's all starting to make sense now ... boy those Scientologists are a sneaky bunch. [Source]

Earlier, Katie Holmes was seen on the streets of Paris completely on her own:

Which is no laughing matter, despite that outfit that she's wearing. Actually she looks great ... being married to Tom Cruise seems to be agreeing with her. [Source]

While Katie was off making balloon animals on a street corner somewhere, Victoria was hanging out with another one of her human BFFs ... the infinitely stylish fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld:

I swear to the gods, I just *love* Paris Fashion Week. It's like the Xmas of Fashion Fug. [Source]

But wait ... there's more Beckhamness to be had (a lot more, actually) ... Pink reader Mysti alerted me to the fact that not only does VB have an official website but that she also BLOGS! Here are a few lines from her latest post and a few photos from her most recent trip to Los Angeles that were posted on Victoria Beckham's blog:

Greetings from LA

Hi Everyone,

It's been a busy few days. I've been house-hunting in L.A. and looking at some schools for the last few days. It's unusually cold here but the sky is blue and the sun is shining which makes everywhere look very pretty.

I've been so touched by the support from all the people we've met. People in the street have been calling out things like "Welcome Home, we're so excited you're here." That has been fantastic, and one of the best things about this trip ... I'm still finding my way around as LA is a big place I'm trying to work out how to get from Santa Monica to Malibu, and from Brentwood to Bel Air... But we'll get there. The sooner the better - the kids want to know the quickest way to Disneyland !

Will keep you posted with more news soon.

Victoria x

The photos have captions like, "These boots were made for walking" and "Pausing for thought on the balcony", which makes me suspicious that she isn't actually authoring any of this. I'll do my best to keep my eye on this blog ... I'm interested to see if anything of substance comes of this. [Source, thanks Mysti]

Meanwhile ... while VB is off blogging and overshadowing everything at Paris Fashion Week, hubby David Beckham is back in Spain training his (cute little) butt off in the hopes that he might get to play a game sometime soon. If David continues to be a good boy, it seems that his team Real Madrid might actually let him play:

Real boss Fabio Capello banished Becks, 31, from his squad after the former England captain agreed a summer deal to join LA Galaxy. But Bernabeu director Pedrag Mijatovic claims Capello's reaction to the "betrayal" was in the heat of the moment and Beckham could soon be back. Mijatovic said: "Of course he could play against Bayern. You have to understand Capello's comments in their context. It was the normal reaction -- one of rage. The truth is we do feel a bit betrayed. In October we made him an offer to renew his contract for two years." Hmm ... if I were Becks I wouldn't put too much stock in this latest comment from the Real Madrid peeps. Tho, I think it would really be in their best interests to play him some before he leaves for good. At the very least, I'm sure fans would come out to see Becks play before it's too late and he's gone for good. [Source]

Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum is celebrating the Beckham move to the US in grand style ... as only Madame Tussaud can do ... with an outrageously hilarious new wax statue exhibit:

LOLOLOL! I love it! [Source, thanks Kerry]

Yeah, I know there was a lot of Beckham biz today but world domination takes up a lot of space.

In other news, it seems that Brangelina have made themselves quite at home in their new digs in New Orleans, LA ... here are a few pictures of Angelina Jolie picking up her son Maddox Jolie-Pitt from his second day at his new school:

They really relocated and got resituated very quickly. It must be cool for the peeps in New Orleans to have such famous new residents move into town ... yeah, that or they absolutely hate it. Ah well ... their presence can't be more obnoxious than Mardi Gras, can it? [Source]

Aww ... check out these fun pictures showing of Heath Ledger skateboarding around the streets of NYC:

Hahahahhahaha ... he dumped the smokes and the kid but kept the cute lavender hat. Loves it! [Source]

Ryan Reynolds, Alicia Keys and Jeremy Piven from the new movie Smokin' Aces and Carmen Electra from her own bad self all made appearances on MTV's TRL to pimp their wares yesterday ... here are a few pics:

Dang ... I think I'm gonna hafta go see Smokin' Aces just because Ryan is in it. I'm usually not a big fan of ensemble movies but I may have to make an exception in this case. [Source]

Well now ... it would seem that lurve is definitely in the air betwixt new friends Jessica Simpson and John Mayer. The pair have been spending an awful lot of time together privately and now seem quite comfortable being seen together in public. Here are pictures of Jess and John boarding his tour bus:

You just *know* that that bus is a love shack on wheels. I'm actually very surprised that John has taken such a great interest in this latest groupie ... I wonder what the appeal is ... [Source]

.... ooh yeah, I think I see what her draw is:

Yep, he must be totally into her dirty pillows. Hey ... I can dig it ... live and let live, I always say. [Source, thanks Montgomery]

Speaking of lurve ... it appears that all of DJ AM's hard work is finally paying off. TMZ's cameras managed to catch the love birds tonguing one another on the streets of Park City, UT this week:

Yeah ... she's bound to be giving it up any day now. [Source]

Lindsay Lohan's stint in rehab appears to be going well ... of course, I have nothing to base that assessment on other than the random pictures of her out and about that we get to see pretty much every day. One would think that rehab works best when the patient is actually at the treatment facility but we'll just assume the best. Here are pictures of L. Lo picking up a few snacks and sundries at a local market:

A healthy appetite is a good sign. "Munchie" type snack foods are not. Well ... we'll continue to hope for the best. [Source]

Here are a few more Miu Miu ads featuring Lindsay which are so popular that they are being showcased on their very own website:

She just looks so great in all of these new Miu Miu pictures. I sincerely hope she gets better soon and will be able to get back to work. These photos are amazing ... and I know she is capable of more. [Source]

And finally, here are a couple new pictures from the upcoming Transformers movie that is due out later this year. Josh Duhamel looks pretty fly ... as does Autobot leader Optimus Prime:

I just recently got to watch the original animated Transformers: The Movie on 20th anniversary special edition DVD and fell in love with the series all over again. I am so excited to see this new computer animated/live action movie. I really hope it doesn't suck ... I know there are a lot of peeps out there who are really wanting a kick-ass movie. [Source]

Les News:
So ... I'm back home in LA. The bad news from yesterday is that I didn't have time to make it out to see my mom in the hospital (but I did send her a huge bouquet of flowers in my absence) but the good news is that she is scheduled to be released from the hospital this weekend. Her physical therapy is going very well and she'll have to return for more PT once she goes home but everything is going very well in her recovery. While I was bummed that I didn't get to see her one last time, I'm very relieved that she will be able to go home very soon.

The flight home wasn't very fun ... I flew Southwest mainly because I wanted to fly out of Burbank airport instead of LAX but the leap-frogging is a pain in the ass. From Detroit I had to change planes in Chicago and then we had to pick up more passengers in Phoenix before finally making it home to Burbank. Blah! At any rate, I made it home safe and sound and am back in my great apartment. A few more decorations arrived in my absence so I put them all up and away last night as soon as I got home. David arrives from NYC tonight and I'm so excited for him to see the place.

I have tons of laundry to do before David gets here ... so ... I hope y'all are having a great day! I'm out.
