OOPS! SHE DID IT A-FREAKIN'-GAIN?!?

I am absolutely speechless ... I simply have no words right now ... Entertainment Tonight is reporting that Britney Spears has, once again, checked out of rehab after less than 24 hours being checked into rehab! Here are a few more pictures of Britney Spears wandering the grounds of the Promises rehab facility in Malibu, CA ... it would seem that she was merely plotting her escape:

Sources tell ET that BRITNEY SPEARS left Promises residential treatment center in Malibu, CA early this morning -- less than 24 hours after checking into the facility. My guess (well, my hope actually) is that Britney (or her people) decided to get her out of the Promises facility and sequester her away in an absolutely private facility instead ... tho, I am really running out of excuses and explanations for her erratic behavior. I'll say it again ... I really hope she does get the help that she needs before the unthinkable happens. I don't even want to say what my worst fears are ... but I think you know where I'm going with this :( [Source]

General Motors threw its 6th annual 10 Event in Los Angeles, CA last night and invited a whole slew of the hottest celebs out there right now ... from Jennifer Hudson to Pete Wentz to the cast of Heroes, the event was chock full of the cool kids modeling cars and clothing last night. Here are a few pictures from the red carpet:

Er ... I'm not sure how Rumer Willis managed to finagle her way inside but there she was ... rockin' that ridiculous looking hair-don't. Even Britney's shaved head looks better than this "I'm so goth I have to hide behind my hair" look. [Source]

Rumer Willis notwithstanding, the event featured a bunch of really cool kids on the runway:

Well now ... it would seem that Petey really knows how to rock a suit when he's struttin' his stuff on the runway. The gang from Heroes were lookin' mighty spiffy themselves ... even the dude who plays Mr. Bennett was lookin' sharp. I gotta give props to GM for throwing these great events -- they really seem to have their fingers on the pulse of what's hot and now, which is very refreshing coming from a car company. Other car companies should take note and follow their lead. [Source]

The court room circus that is just getting underway in the wake of the death of Anna Nicole Smith looks like its ready to surpass the ridiculousness of the OJ Simpson trial of the 90s and become the new hallmark for all things gross and disgusting in the legal arena. Yesterday Larry Birkhead (who claims to be Dannielynn Hope's babydaddy), Virgie Arthur (Anna Nicole's mother) and Howard K. Stern (Satan; formerly Anna Nicole's attorney) all went head-to-head-to-head in a fight to determine who gets what from Anna Nicole's dead body:

Truth be told, I am exceedingly grateful to be out of the country while this ridiculousness plays out live on TVs all across the US. This is just the beginning of the legal wrangling that is yet to come surrounding who gets what from the now deceased Anna Nicole Smith. Just thinking about the whole thing makes me feel gross. [Source]

Howard K. Stern was in fine form as he took to the stand to proclaim his grief and suffering over the loss of his best client ... actually, his only client:

I do not believe a single thing that comes from this man's mouth -- ever. It is my opinion and belief that he made a career out of bilking Anna Nicole Smith out of every single thing and advantage that he could while she was still living and will do anything to make sure he gets what he feels he is due from her estate now that she is dead. To say that I am disgusted would be an understatement. I only hope that the truth does get out and true justice is served. If that should be the case, I'm convinced that Howard K. Stern will have much to pay for. [Source]

Moving on ... here are a couple of really great photos of Joel and Benji Madden, from the band Good Charlotte, riding a float in the Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans, LA earlier this week sent in by Pink reader Shae:

Those are some big balls that Joel has ... in that beaded necklace that he's wearing. The guys look like they had a blast. Thank you so much for sharing your pics with us, Shae! [thanks Shae]

David Beckham finally got some action this week ... he was allowed to play in the Champions League game between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich and went on to lead his team to victory in a final score of 3-2. Here are pictures of Becks doing what he does best:

The England coach, Steve McClaren, asked for a video of David Beckham's last game. The former national captain will want to hand-deliver a copy of this performance. Beckham, who was sent off in Real's dull draw at the weekend, was the architect of all of his side's goals as Madrid edged ahead of Bayern Munich in this Champions League last-16, first-leg tie. There were even chants of "Beckham! Beckham!" from the home crowd, the like of which have not been heard since the early days of stint in Spain. With the Champions League thoroughbreds Raul and Ruud van Nistelrooy on form, Real were on course to be comfortable winners until they conceded a potentially damaging late away goal. "Beckham played very well, he was very important," said his coach, Fabio Capello. "When he has been in the side he has always played at a high level. He created two tonight and [scored] one the other night and I recognise that." You know, I love that Becks lead his team to victory and all but I'm more excited just to see Becks on the soccer field again -- after all, how else is he able to publicly show his vast affection for his team mates and opponents if he is left to wither on the bench? I can't wait for Becks to make his move to LA to play for The Galaxy ... then I may get to see him hump other men on the soccer field up close and personal. [Source]

Speaking of which, everyone is all exciting getting ready for David Beckham's semi-permanent arrival on US Soil ... including Details magazine who put the soccer star on the cover of their new issue due on news stands next Tuesday:

Wee ... I love it! The magazine asks the question, Can David Beckham Be The Greatest American Hero? and I have to answer, Yes, he can. It's clear that Becks has the star power to bring the level of soccer excitement up substantially in the US and whether or not he can single-handedly turn America into a soccer loving country remains to be seen. He is a star, he is married to a star (arguably -- with as much grief that I give her, I still do love Victoria Beckham -- that robot) and he will bringing to the US with him a media whirlwind. In the US, that's enough to make him an American Hero already. [Source]

Also in the Details issue, we get a glimpse at what a Wheaties box might look like with Mr. David Beckham on the cover:

I think he looks damn good on that box. We'll see if he's able to turn his star power into cereal selling power as well. [Source]

Tyra Banks will appear on a mock-up cover of the new Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue 10 years after she became the first African-American woman to appear on the actual cover back in 1997. Here is a side-by-side comparison of Tyra on the cover then and now and a couple new pics from her new SI photoshoot:

Tyra has been very vocal about how she wanted to appear in her version of the magazine, 10 year later, the way she "really looks" without having to starve herself or Photoshop away her curves in order to appear a skinny waif. Personally, I think she looks great in the new pics. Sure, she's showing less muscle but she's also showing less bones ... which I think is a much better, healthier look. The fact that Tyra Banks can call the shots with a magazine like Sports Illustrated only goes to show that you don't need to be a super skinny model to throw your weight around. [thanks Doug]

Brody Jenner is featured in the new issue of Details magazine (with Becks on the cover) in a sexy photoshoot that accompanies a pretty surprising article that casts Brody in a pretty shitty light. I say this because I've spent some time hanging out with Brody and he never struck me as the kind of starfucker that is portrayed in the article. Here are the pictures of Brody from the Details magazine article ... which he tells People magazine has "horrified" him:

Brody Jenner says he's "horrified" by a profile written about him in the new issue of Details magazine. In the article, Jenner and his best friend/manager, Spencer Pratt, are characterized as scheming to make Jenner famous – partly by dating or befriending famous people, including Nicole Richie, who Jenner briefly dated. "Here's what you're gonna do. You're gonna start dating Nicole Richie. And you're gonna get that skinny bitch to eat, all right?," Pratt says, as part of the pair's alleged plan to seek fame. "You are about to become The Guy Who Got Nicole Richie to Eat. Process that s--t, bro. You'll be, like, a f---ng hero to America." However, Jenner tells PEOPLE that the article unfairly makes him look uncaring about those he truly cares about. "I have broad shoulders and can handle what is written about me personally but when I am misquoted or mischaracterized as exhibiting a disrespectful attitude towards someone I care about, I feel I need to clarify the situation," says Jenner. "I genuinely love Nicole... I would never say or do anything hurtful to those I love and respect. I'm sorry it was represented that way" ... Jenner's mother, Linda Thompson, has also come to her son's defense, telling PEOPLE: "He has always been fond of [Nicole]. He dated her because he really likes her. He doesn't have to date anyone for any other reason than he really likes them." Asked for comment about the story Details editor-in-chief Daniel Peres tells PEOPLE: "Details stands by the story 100 percent." Honestly, most of the damaging stuff comes from Brody's "manager-slash-publicist-slash-agent- slash-stylist" Spencer Pratt (famously dating Heidi Montag from The Hills) but that's beside the point. It is extremely unfortunate if Brody's comments in the article were taken completely out of context ... but it would be even more unfortunate if his comments weren't misrepresented at all. [Source]

Here are a few pictures from an amazing new photoshoot of Hilary Duff shot for MTV:

Here is one of the new ads for Reebok that features their new spokes model Scarlett Johansson:

Scarlett is one of those rare celebs who can go from promoting high end products like Louis Vuitton and everyday products like Reebok pretty seamlessly. Actually, I don't think there is a product that Scarlett couldn't sell ... except for maybe athlete's foot cream ... but really, who would be a good spokesperson for foot cream? Well ... maybe Paris Hilton could sell it ... with those big feet of hers. [Source]

Members of the Nine Inch Nails fan club The Spiral are being treated to very cool perks of membership. Trent Reznor (or someone affiliated with him) is clandestinely leaving unmarked pen drives in bathrooms at various concert venues in Europe where NIN is currently on tour. Thus far the songs My Violent Heart and Me, I'm Not were leaked to Spiral fan club members by way of these pen drives found in bathrooms in Portugal and here in Spain:

It's unclear how many new tracks off the new NIN album Year Zero (due out April 17th) will actually be leaked to fan club members this way but there are 15 countries on this European tour and there are 15 songs on the album (if you omit the first single, Survivalism, which is available on the official NIN My Space profile). Trent used to be a very vocal opponent of online music piracy but it appears that that is no longer the case. It's feasible that he will leak his entire new album in the manner that he sees fit in order to take control of his own piracy ... which is pretty damn cool to me. [Source]

ATTENTION: 24 SPOILER ALERT WARNING

Thanks to some help from some very industrious Pink readers living outside of the US (namely Monica, Halley, Lauren and others) I was able to watch this week's eps of 24 and Heroes last night on my computer. I won't go into great detail with my recaps this week since I'm a bit rushed but I am very grateful to all of you who offered your help in this matter:

Wow ... what a bastard Jack Bauer's dad is huh? His semi-bald head and his wispy hair makes him prolly the most frightening villain that Jack has ever had to contend with in previous seasons. Blah, I'm annoyed that they had to go and make Tom Lennox a kind of good guy -- does that mean that I have to root for him now? The introduction of former president Charles Logan was a nice surprise ... but is he still a bad guy? Has he seen the light and is now a good guy? Do I have to root for him too? They better bring back his amazing boozey wife Martha Logan or I'm gonna be pissed. God, I love this show. [Source]

ATTENTION: HEROES SPOILER ALERT WARNING

Heroes was pretty good this week too ... there was quite a lot that happened ... tho I'll prolly miss most of it in this pitiful recap:

Props to Stan Lee for doing a cameo in the ep, the show is an obvious homage (rip-off) of his X-Men comics so it's cool that he's cool with it. I like how we are now finding out that there are a few "old" Heroes who have had previous run-ins with Mr. Bennett and are out to stop him by hooking up with the "new" Heroes. It's good that Peter is finally learning how to use his powers, it's also good that Claire is finally confronting her father ... it sucks that Simone had to get shot twice tho. I really liked her. Do you think it's possible that Peter can turn back time in order to save her? Should I really be caring this much about US TV while I'm on vacation in Spain? Er ... prolly not. [Source]

Les News:
David and I got a late start today ... we kinda overslept our alarms ... which wasn't too hard to do because we forgot to set them. We did manage to make our way to an awesome Salvador Dali museum comprised mostly of his drawings:

And then we got to spend some time in an incredible cathedral near our hotel:

It's already late here ... so we need to eat and then spend a lovely night out on the town.

And ... I guess that is all for now. I'm out.
