U Drive Me Crazy -- Legally, Now!

Today is the day that Kevin Federline is to officially gain physical custody of his two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, after Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon ruled that Britney Spears was no longer fit to enjoy physical custody rights of her children this past Monday. The order goes into effect at 12pm PT today, altho he has had custody of the children since Monday (Britney handed off the kids to K-Fed's bodyguards/baby transports after the ruling was handed down earlier this week). Meanwhile, Britney has been taking positive steps towards complying with the Judge's stipulations, one presumes, in order to try and win back custody (hey, I'm trying to spin this stuff as best I can, just go with it). Here are pics of Britney as she posed for her new driver's license photo and examined her temporary paper license after successfully obtaining a California driver's license at the DMV in Van Nuys yesterday afternoon:

Welp, at least she got this license thing taken care of. Now all she has to do is submit to drug testing, drug counseling and attend parenting classes. Something about the officialness of each of these stipulations leads me to believe that Britney will have none of it. We all know that the girl simply will not take orders from anyone ... but she's gonna have to if she wants to get her kids back. Why can't she just listen to people and act like an adult? [Source]

After obtaining the legal status to drive in the state of California, Britney rounded up her posse (including a mysterious new dude) and hit the road last night:

It's interesting ... you'd never think that she had a care in the world concerning what is going on with her children. I mean, I know she's used to being without the kids (since she shared 50/50 custody of the kids for the past few months) but she really seems totally unconcerned with this latest development. Either she knows something that we don't or she just doesn't care as much as I had anticipated. [Source]

Sean Preston and Jayden James seem to be settling well in the home of their father ... a father who fought so hard, so diligently to win physical custody of his children that you might expect that he'd want to spend every waking moment with his sons ...

... aaaaaand, you'd be wrong on that account. Pretty much as soon as K-Fed gained custody of his kids he handed them off to his staff while we was bizzy doing other things. Obvs, I have no idea what he's got going on that is so important that he can't take his kids for a walk but I'm sure it's very, very important. [Source]

One last bit of Britness, the hugely annoying Dr. Phil is going to offer his $0.02 on all this Britney drama on his show tomorrow afternoon (check local listings). Here is the information on tomorrow's show that has been posted to his official website:

Thursday - October 4, 2007 Britney Breaking News

Since Britney Spears and Kevin Federline split, the pop star's troubles have played out in the tabloids -- photographs at Hollywood hotspots with Paris Hilton, partying without panties, impulsively shaving her head, raging at a car with an umbrella, and spending a month in rehab. Last month, the judge ordered the pop star to undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week as part of her ongoing custody battle with Federline. Then what was supposed to be a comeback MTV Video Music Awards performance made Britney the butt of endless jokes, and the following week, her management firm dropped her and her divorce attorney resigned. And on Monday, Britney hit rock bottom when she was ordered to temporarily relinquish physical custody of her children to Federline by a judge who had cited a troubling lifestyle fueled by drugs and alcohol. Could Britney be at risk for suicide? Watch as Dr. Phil tells Britney the three things she absolutely must do to get her kids back. Plus, Dr. Phil's secret meetings with Britney's mom, Lynn Spears. If it's happening now, Dr. Phil is going to talk about it now! Don't miss the very first Dr. Phil Now.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I loathe Dr. Phil's sanctimonious bullshizz attitude towards pretty much every person on Earth. I imagine that his show tomorrow will be a free-for-all onslaught on our dear Britney. I must say, tho, I'm intrigued by these "secret meetings" with Lynne Spears. I wonder if he'll really have anything of substance from Mama Spears or if he's just trying to goad viewers into tuning in to watch by using her name. In any case, I still can't stand the man ... I doubt he'll be able to offer any substantive new advice that hasn't already been discussed ad nauseam already. [Source]

Alright ... let's move on ... Lindsay Lohan, who has been dealing with problems of her own, was snapped enjoying a nice relaxing afternoon at a pumpkin patch in Utah earlier this week, presumably preparing for Halloween or maybe for her visit from dad Michael Lohan. Here are a few pics:

These pics are a nice change of pace from the photos of Lindsay, passed out drunk in her car, that we got to see earlier this year. In a side by side comparison, Lindsay comes out looking and smelling like a rose compared to all the messy drama involving Britney these days. Isn't it interesting how this sort of thing tends to happen in cycles. It wasn't too long ago that Lindsay was the "dangerous wild child" that everyone was talking about ... now look at her ... picking pumpkins in Utah. Who'd've thunk this is the way things could've turned out for L. Lo. [Source]

Daddy Lohan touched down in Utah this past Monday to spend a few days with his daughter in his latest attempt to mend fences with her so that they can enjoy some semblance of a normal father/daughter relationship. Here are pics of Linds and Michael together in Utah just after his arrival:

Michael [arrived] in Utah on Monday night. He and Lindsay [plan to] spend five days together at a secluded Utah lodge. "We're going to spend some quality time together," Michael told Access. In an e-mail to People magazine, Lindsay's mom Dina was pleased her ex-husband would get the chance to spend time with their daughter. "It can only help her recovery. It's time to mend," the e-mail stated. "He is visiting Lindsay alone because we are giving her dad a chance to make amends." This will mark Michael's second trip to Utah since Lindsay entered the Cirque Lodge rehab center on August 3. It's nice to see that Lindsay is willing to give her father yet another chance to make things right with her and I agree with Dina (ugh, I can't believe I keep agreeing with her), this visit can be a great way to help her recovery. I am very much looking forward to the day when Britney reunites with her family in this way ... I hope that day comes soon. [Source]

Kylie Minogue has caused a stir among animal rights groups after being seen carting around a very large, very gaudy gold purse made of snakeskin. Here are a couple pics of Kyles and the monstrous purse causing all the commotion:

Animal rights campaigners have attacked the fashion industry over this season's trend for snakeskin. Celebrities such as Kylie Minogue, Eva Longoria and Keira Knightley have all been seen flaunting the latest must-have bags made from python, anaconda and boa constrictor. Protesters say the skinning method is cruel and unregulated. One biologist even claimed yesterday that the fashion industry was bringing larger snakes to the brink of extinction. Clifford Warwick, one of Britain's leading reptile experts and a consultant biologist with the Animal Protection Agency, said: "The skins industry has been pushing itself as a fashion product for some time now. Then Vogue puts it in the magazine and it is fashionable." Since Miss Minogue was photographed holding a £1,280 gold python Zagliani bag at a Prince concert at London's O2 last week, demand for the bags has soared. Now, I'm not gonna weigh in on this particular issue concerning the use of snake skin per se (tho I've been pretty clear that I'm very anti-fur but have no problem with leather, since I eat meat), but I will say that this humungo purse does look a bit ridiculous and very gaudy in a fug way. I love Kylie but I'm so not on board with this big shiny purse thing. Boo. [Source]

In other Aussie news, here are new pics of OZ songstress Natalie Imbruglia and her hubby Daniel Johns (lead singer of Silverchair) out for a little stroll in London earlier this week:

Now his little manbag I really like. Why can't Kylie carry around one of those? But I digress, I always love seeing pics of Natalie out and about and I really think that she and Daniel make a great couple. Ain't love grand? [Source]

Here are a couple pics of George Clooney on the set of his new movie Burn After Reading showing off his really bitchin' scar from his recent motorcycle accident to pretty much anyone who would listen:

I bet the guy wishes he was the one with the broken foot, that way he could show off his cast and crutches as well. Someone give poor Georgie a hug please. [Source]

Here are a few new pictures from the set of the new Sex and the City movie which is currently filming in NYC ... but the pics are so SPOILERish that I don't want to run the risk of ruining what I understand is a huge plot development by even showing a glimpse of the pics ... soooooo ...

... if you really want to know what's going on you can click above to see the pics and click HERE to read the news story that accompanies the pics. Enjoy! [Source]

Uh oh. Isn't Mel Gibson supposed to be booze-free since his DUI arrest last year? If so, why does he look really soused in this pic snapped of him at a bar in Bali last week?

I suppose it's possible that this is just a really unfortunate photo of Mr. Gibson that has nothing to do with alcohol but I somehow doubt it. It's not like the pic was taken in, let's say, church ... no sir, the pic was taken in a secluded bar in Bali of all places. Something tells me that homie is gonna have to turn in those sobriety chips. [Source]

The new MGM Grand Hotel and Casino opened its doors last night in preparation for the casino's official opening for business today. My Detroit homeslice Joe was among the lucky folks who attended last night's gala affair and he sends in these great pics from the grand opening party:

The new MGM Grand Detroit hotel and casino -- the city's first fully-functioning permanent gambling facility -- had its opening-day rollout Tuesday with joyous officials, celebrities, famed chefs, a knock-your-socks-off gala, fireworks and a declaration from Michigan congressman John Conyers that "we're competing with Las Vegas. There's nothing in Chicago," said Conyers, a Detroit Democrat in the U.S. House. "There's nothing in the middle west that presents this kind of beauty and grandeur ... It's reaching out beyond the gaming activity." Gambling commenced about 11:15 p.m., and initial crowds estimated to be in the thousands quickly flocked for an early visit, choking traffic on all nearby streets. The $800-million building at 1777 Third is a massive, soaring edifice that will provide about 100,000 square feet of gaming space (compared with 75,000 in the MGM's temporary casino). Also part of the complex: a 400-room luxury hotel, spa and restaurants created by notable chefs Wolfgang Puck and Michael Mina. At a black-tie event for 1,000 invitees just prior to the gambling commencement, guests dined on trays of beef tartare and miniature crab cakes. Also served up: seafood risotto, Crab Louie and lobster corn dogs with champagne and cocktails. Women outfitted in gauzy butterfly wings and jesters 8 feet tall greeted guests at the door. Star power? Singing star Ashanti entertained in the Int Ice lounge; Detroit music makers Anita Baker and Kid Rock were also reportedly in the house. Following the gala, a brief opening ceremony was held outdoors in the Grand Garden at Third and Bagley, where a forest of 50-foot Canadian birches, scores of gigantic pumpkins and hundreds of blooming mums had been installed last week. (The array will change five times a year and is designed by the folks who do the holiday accents for Rockefeller Center in New York.) Fireworks then erupted from a ledge about halfway up the building; an early group of would-be gamblers cheered and oohed and ahhed at the display. "It reminds me of Vegas," said Barbara Thompson of Detroit. "It was beautiful ... wonderful." At long last, the MGM Grand is finally open for biz in downtown Detroit. Joe tells me the party was superfun and an amazing time was had by all. I am so excited, I can't wait to get home and see the new digs for myself. Much love Detroit, you've never looked cooler :) [Source, Source, thanks Joe]

Pink reader Megan sends in a couple new pics that she snapped on the streets of Chicago, where the new Batman sequel The Dark Knight is filming, of two of the vehicles that will be featured in the new movie:

I assume that the black Lamborghini is the car that Bruce Wayne will be driving around in when he's not driving around in the Batmobile as Batman. The car is pretty sick ... tho, it should come as no surprise that Bruce Wayne likes to pick up chicks with his phat whip. [thanks Megan]

Here are a couple new ads that feature Vicki B. that come straight from Japan (supposedly) which were (apparently) shot while she was in Tokyo last week before she had to cut short her trip to be with hubby David Beckham and his ailing father in London:

I have no idea what the ads are for but I must give the robot snaps for lookin' so hot. Her jutting bones and bulbous boobs have never looked so good. Well done! [thanks Paul]

Here is the cover artwork for the new Cobra Starship album ¡Viva La Cobra! which is due out in stores on October 23rd:

I just recieved an early promo copy of the album and I gotta say, it's pretty hot. I'm a big Cobra Starship fan and I gots mad love for Gabe Saporta so I'm really excited for the rest of the world to hear this album. It's hot y'all, you're gonna hafta check it out when it gets released in a couple of weeks. [Source]

And finally, Siouxsie Sioux has released her debut solo album Mantaray here in the US this week and she sat down for a little Q&A with Radar magazine. To accompany the interview, Radar posted a new hot promo pic of Siouxsie along with a gallery of pics of Sioux which span the course of her long musical career:

Ever since barreling her way into the limelight on a bill with the Sex Pistols in 1976, Siouxsie Sioux has been a bona fide punk princess, influencing legions of doom merchants and accidentally inventing goth as we know it. The Cure, PJ Harvey, Shirley and Marilyn Manson, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Interpol, and Arcade Fire have all borrowed the best bits of Siouxsie's juju, and no shortage of stylebiters have aped her signature look—vast amounts of eyeliner and Aqua Net. Now, with her new solo disc, Mantaray, Sioux leaves her storied past behind. She's discarded all of her former band members, even her husband/drummer Budgie. Forget the Banshees, Mantaray is simply the Siouxsie Show, featuring industrial-strength guitar rock, smoky torch songs, earthy exotica, and even a gospel choir on the closing ballad, "Heaven & Alchemy." While she was in New York recently we attended the party for Condé Nast's "Fashion Rocks," where Siouxsie mingled at the open bar with the likes of guyliner-wearing Jared Leto, Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz, and Ashlee Simpson. We left early on ("Too many little blondies," Madame Sioux sneered, stalking out on four-inch dominatrix heels) and sat down to discuss her musical legacy, fearless fashion, and her new life as a freshly divorced single gal of 50. The full text of the interview can be read online HERE. It's a must read for any Siouxsie fan, wherein she talks about the new drummers in her life, the hijacking of her video for Into A Swan, how Marc Jacobs owes her money and the fact that she has *no idea* who Ashlee Simpson is. It's a brills interview. I highly suggest that y'all check out her new album Mantaray (which can be downloaded from iTunes HERE). It is most deff one of my favorite albums to come out this year so far! [Source]

Les News:
Yesterday afternoon I met up with my bud Tony for a late lunch at the amazing Pho Cafe in Silverlake after we've been trying to plan a get-together for weeks now. Tony and I had such a great time that we're gonna get together to hang out again tonight. Last night, Jim and I made our way out to Forty Deuce for the opening night of the Lucky Devil male burlesque show. After all The GaysTM bailed on going out (for one reason or another) I was happy that Jim was free ... we hadn't hung out together in such a long time, I think I was more excited that we got to hang out more than anything. Here are are few pics from the show last night:

The show was really hot, really fun and very classy. Some folks might expect to see male strippers up on the stage but that is not the case. There is actual choreographed dancing and fun little outfits ... and yes some flesh but nothing explicit at all. Jim and I really enjoyed ourselves ... tho my only complaint would be that they need more than just 2 dancers. I think 4 dancers rotating thruout the night would work perfectly. The show takes place each Tuesday ... I'm deffo gonna hafta go back again to see if they mix it up a bit.

I finally got to meet Reichen Lehmkuhl and Ryan Barry (collectively known as Ry-chen) at the show last night ... they were so cute together. At one point, Ryan was sitting on Reichen's lap and who was holding him around the waist (interestingly, while the performers were doing a saucy routine to George Michael's Father Figure). It was really sweet ... until I started getting dirty thoughts and had to turn away. I got to chat with them briefly and they were very cool to take a pic with me :) I also got to meet the amazing photographer Lewis Payton, who I have been a fan of for years. He and I got to talk for some time. I also got to run into my new friend Geo and his friend Dylan who both got up on stage to dance in between the 3 dance performances. It was just a really fun night ... I'm so glad that Jim and I got to go.

Tonight, Tony and I are going to the Mark Ronson show at the El Rey Theater. And to that I say, Woot! I'm out.
