Family Ties

Well ... David and I made it to San Francisco last night ... it was the smoothest trip I've ever been on. Traffic on the usually horrible 405 freeway was nonexistent, our shuttle to the airport was on time and quicker than usual, there was no line at the ticket counter, security was a breeze and there were only 13 people on our 50 minute flight from LA to San Fran. Frontier even gave us their satellite TV service for free -- it's like this trip was meant to be! Unfortch, I was not able to watch Lost last night -- I'm not sure if I can wait til I get back home to LA to watch it ... I might have to watch it online and recap it later on today ... but enough rambling, let's get to the day's goss ...

I know that there are scads of people out there anxiously awaiting for Kevin Federline's debut album Playing with Fire to drop but just in case there are one or two of you out there who don't know when the album is to be released, K-Fed wants to remind you of the album's release date ... here is a picture of the freeloader turned backup dancer turned babydaddy turned husband turned rapper turned wrestler with his PSA t-shirt at the XBOX 360 Gears of War party last night:

I would hate for anyone out there to miss picking up this album when it gets released next Tuesday. You're welcome. [Source]

While it's not surprising for K-Fed to show up at an XBOX party (especially with an album release date looming so near) it is a little surprising that Lindsay Lohan would show up at an XBOX party. I had no idea that L. Lo was a big video game fan. I have a hard time picturing Lindsay geeking out playing video games. Here are some pictures of Lindsay at the XBOX 360 Gears of War party that took place at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery last night:

Eh, maybe she showed up for the free gift bag ... which I hear included the military commando of your choice. And what a tough choice it was ... I hope she picked the one on the left. [Source]

The Dixie Chicks were all on hand for the New York premiere of their new movie documentary titled Shut Up and Sing which chronicles the insane fallout they suffered after singer Natalie Maines publicly commented to a London crowd that she was ashamed that George W. Bush is from Texas, her home state. Here are a few photos from the event:

I really have no interest in getting people all riled up by commenting again where I stand on this whole matter. I will say, tho, that I am very interested in seeing this movie when it gets released this Friday. It is utterly insane to me that one person's opinion could generate such a maelstrom of hatred. Whether you love them or hate them, the Dixie Chicks seem pretty adamant about standing their ground and not backing down from their beliefs. I've become a new fan of the Chicks, I deff plan on seeing this movie. [Source]

Here are a few screencaptures from Madonna's appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show which aired yesterday afternoon:

Little David Banda is so incredibly cute ... it's easy to see how Madonna and Guy Ritchie could so easily fall in love with him. [Source]

Madonna shared her personal pictures on the show as well ... we finally get to see what her newly completed family looks like all together:

On the show yesterday, Madonna explained how her meeting with Yohane Banda, David's father, went down: "We had a hearing altogether with an interpreter... and he looked into my eyes and said to me that he was very grateful that I was going to give his son a life and that, had he kept his son with him in the village, he would have buried him. I didn't really need any more confirmation that I was doing the right thing and I had his blessing... I sat in that room, I looked into that man's eyes. I believe that the press is manipulating this information out of him. I believe, at this point in time, that he's been terrorised by the media, that they have asked him things repeatedly, that they have put words in his mouth and that they have spun a story that is completely false. Yohane is also speaking up about how his comments have been taken out of context and how he fears Madonna may give up on adopting his son because of all the criticism she has been receiving: "I am afraid Madonna may get angry and frustrated and decide to dump my son because of these people," said Banda, referring to criticisms from human rights activists in Malawi that officials there had bent the law to speed the adoption process. These so-called human rights activists are harassing me every day, threatening me that I am not aware of what I am doing," Banda said. "I'm afraid David may be sent back and the orphanage may not even accept him back. So where will he end up? Here? He will certainly die." He said activists tried to visit him Wednesday. "I hid from them. I didn't want to see them. They want me to support their court case, a thing I cannot do for I know what I agreed with Madonna and her husband," said Banda. It finally seems as if all of this craziness will finally be put to rest. Madonna will not give up on the baby that she and her husband have decided to raise as their own and the boy's father seems sure that letting them adopt his son is best thing for him. Hopefully it won't be long until this matter is legally settled and the family can just live their lives. I wish them all nothing but the best for a very happy life together. [Source]

It appears that Naomi Campbell is in DIRE need of an intensive anger management course ... like, right now. Yesterday afternoon, Naomi was arrested in London after her drug counselor made a complaint with the police that Naomi kinda attacked her during one of their therapy sessions:

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been arrested in London, according to multiple press reports, on suspicion of assault ... According to reports, Campbell was still being questioned by police as of 9:55 pm GMT. A lawyer for Campbell in New York tells TMZ that the supermodel was in fact at the police station and accompanied by a lawyer from Schillings law firm. The Sun newspaper reported that the woman who filed the complaint was her drug counselor and that the therapist made the complaint after being "scratched all over her face." ... Campbell is the subject of an ongoing alleged assault case in New York in which a former housekeeper claims that Campbell threw a mobile device at her head and injured her. That case has been adjourned until November 15. Two things ... first, isn't it telling that even when Naomi tries to get help for her dangerous behavior (ie. drug counseling) she still can't control her violent behavior? Second, isn't it also telling that Naomi doesn't even need weapons (ie. a cellphone) to put the beat down on whoever pisses her off? Seriously ... maybe she needs to be locked up in a treatment facility or something before she gets locked up in prison. Homegirl has got problems. [Source]

Yesterday we saw a picture of Nicole Richie reunited with her ex-fiancee DJ AM Adam Goldstein and today we get a picture of Paris Hilton reunited with her ex-boyfriend (I forget if they were actually engaged) Stavros Niarchos ... here is a pic of the pair after having seen a movie together in Hollywood:

Could these two be getting back together? Of all of Paris' paramours, Starving Nachos is my fave. I'm not really counting on the two of them getting back together but I am a fan of the Parisopolis. [Source]

Nicole Richie appears to have already moved on from the company of DJ AM and onto the company of some daddy-lookin' dude ... here are pictures of Nicole and the new mystery man on their way to the Arclight to see a movie last night:

Hmmm ... first Paris and Stavros go to the movies and then Nicole and this guy go to the movies. First Nicole reunites with an ex and then Paris does the same. It appears that the girls are really back to being BFF again ... they're turning into the same person. [Source]

It's Halloweentime in Hollywood and celebs are making their way to the various pumpkin patches that have been popping up in parking lots all over Southern California to pick out the perfect pumpkins for their kids ... here are pictures of Courteney Cox and Heidi Klum each at different pumpkin patches in recent days:

Awww ... ain't that just precious? Little Coco and Henry are so cute and it looks like they're having so much fun. Don't you just love this sweet, innocent portrait of Hollywood style Halloween fun? [Source, Source]

But you know what's funner? Pictures of half-nekkid Playboy chicks hanging out in front of all the kiddies in pumpkin patches:

Two of Hugh Hefner's three girlfriends brought a little bit of Playboy magic to all the good little boys and girls who were hanging out at the Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch yesterday. Um ... so yeah, now I guess we know why it's called the Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch. [Source]

Ashley Olsen has decided that she is going to dress up as her sister Mary-Kate Olsen for Halloween this year ... behold:

Yikes! That's pretty scary. Well done, Ash! [Source]

Speaking of Mary-Kate, she has employed her new boyfriend to carry around the stuff that is too big for her to carry herself ...

... that, of course, does not include her 800 lb. designer purses ... altho, I wouldn't be surprised if she started getting her guy to carry those as well. It's so embarrassing that MK got caught pantsless on her laundry day. See ... this is why you shouldn't let your laundry pile up. [Source]

And finally ... I just love this picture of Sheryl Crow:

LOL! Beauty secrets revealed! [Source]

Les News:
So as I mentioned earlier, David and I had the smoothest trip ever last night ... everything went perfectly. David's brother and his girlfriend, Aram and Shaine, picked us up and we all went out for an utterly delicious dinner at this German place called Suppenk├╝che (we met up with their friends Becca and Darryl). I had the cauliflower soup followed by an entree of organic wild boar sausage -- UFF DA! It was amazing.

After dinner we decided to swing by the Supperclub for a little TMZ soiree that we heard was going on. We met up with David's and my new BFF Gillian Sheldon and proceeded to get our respective boogies on. I finally got to meet Harvey Levin, the man behind TMZ, and we had a great little conversation. Here are some pics from the party:

I also finally got to meet, face-to-face, my friend Carel who was also randomly at the party. We had a blast ... DJ Mark Ronson really played some great stuff.

Yeah, I pretty much got to spend the whole night with the beautiful ladies of TMZ -- Carolyn, Gillian and Evelyn:

What a way to kick off our little San Francisco vacation.

It's an absolutely beautiful day here in San Fran ... I am really glad that I decided to come along with David. Apologies for the tiny lateness of the day's post but last night was really fun and I was kinda still paying for it when I got up this morning at 6am. Posting should continue as scheduled for the next couple of days ... but you never know what kind of influence San Francisco might have on me :)

Have a great day, y'all ... I'm out.
