The Britney Spears Mini-Comeback Club Tour continues to roll on ... last night, Brit and the girls (collectively known as The M+Ms) brought their dance-routine performance to the House of Blues in LA on the Sunset Strip. This time around, Brit Brit decided to change it up a little bit by shortening the show to 11 minutes and by unveiling a new wig:

Pink reader Anne was lucky enough to attend the LA performance last night and sends in this report: First of all, the show was GREAT!!! Yes, it was only 15 minutes or so [tho, TMZ reports the show was shortened to 11 minutes], however, the spirit, charisma, energy, and sexual appeal of Britney is alive and well. It was so nice to see her back in her element. She looked healthy and genuinely happy. As a TRUE Britney fan, I was very impressed. I also have to mention ... afterward I was interviewed by E!, Inside Edition, and People. All three journalists kept trying to bring out the negative of Britney's "comeback". They kept bringing up her lip-singing, short performance, and lack of audience interaction. All of them seemed very disappointed in my utmost support for Britney. I think it's very unfortunate that the media wanted to portray her performance as negative. Britney has been through a lot over the last ten years – and all of it has been under the scrutiny of the American public. It's time to chill out a bit -- she used the HOB shows as a chance to perform in front of a live audience and to get her confidence back. Give the girl a break! I am so excited for Britney, and I cannot wait to see what comes next. I, too, can't wait to see what Britney has up her sleeve when she really goes on tour once her new album is completed. I agree that it seems that people just want to focus on the negative when it comes to her (making ridiculous mountains out of mole hills) ... for once, it'd be nice if people just gave Britney props just so that she can feel a little better about herself. The next stop on Britney's performance club tour is at the House of Blues in Las Vegas this weekend ... and just added, a performance in San Francisco at the Red Devil early next week.[Source, Source, thanks Robert]

One last Brit bit, here are a couple pictures of Britney going out for sushi yesterday afternoon before she took the stage at the House of Blues last night ... you will note that she is FINALLY not wearing those wretched cowboy boots:

Eh, this footwear isn't the greatest either but it's better than what we've been seeing lately. [Source]

Lindsay Lohan was in the hiz last night at Britney's HoB performance last night to lend her support but beforehand she made an appearance for lunch at The Ivy on Robertson Blvd. earlier in the day:

Me likey this old skool Hollywood glam thing she's got going on ... the white suits her. I also like that L. Lo is showing up to support her fellow Hollywood "It" Girls in their various endeavors. Remember, she showed up in support of Hilary Duff at her CD release party in addition to supporting Britters last night. You gotta love a Hollywood "It" Girl with a serious sense of solidarity. [Source, Source]

Speaking of solidarity, 3 of the 5 Spice Girls got together again in London last night to enjoy a night out together, coincidentally dining at The Ivy as well. Here are pictures of Geri Halliwell (Ginger), Mel B. (Scary) and Emma Bunton (Baby) exiting the restaurant last night:

Neither Victoria Beckham (Posh) nor Mel C. (Sporty) were anywhere in sight. At least Posh hung with the Spices the night before in celebration of her David Beckham's 32nd birthday ... Mel C. appears to be the lone spoil-sport. All this Spice Girl Reunion teasing going on is driving me mad ... I wish they'd all just agree to Zig-a-zig-a together again so that the world can be a better place -- at least for a little while. [Source, Source]

Speaking of Becks' birthday bash, here is one more picture from his late night out with the Spices ... it's just too hawt to not post. Additionally, here are bonus pictures of His Beckhamness workin' it out on the soccer field:

It is, like, physically impossible for this man to look bad. Lord Have Mercy! [Source, Source]

And speaking of men who rarely look bad (tho, in his man's case it has been possible), here are new pictures of Brad Pitt with his precious little baby girl Shiloh-Nouvel Jolie-Pitt out for a little walk:

I cannot believe that little Shiloh is walking already ... doesn't it seem like she was born just yesterday? You can see that Brad and Shiloh are playing with a little fort make out of a cardboard box. Couldn't you just die from all the cuteness? [Source]

As if that wasn't enough hot DILFness, here are pictures of Christian Bale lookin' all cute with his little daughter:

It's so nice to know that not all Hollywood dads are like Alec Baldwin. [Source]

Could David Hasselhoff be the next celeb to be headed for rehab? If this video footage, shot by David's daughter herself, is any indication then it looks like he i waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overdue for a detox:

In the exclusive video, the former "Baywatch" star appears to be intoxicated in footage believed to be taken three months ago by his 16-year-old daughter, TAYLOR. In the video, Taylor begs her father to stop drinking, saying, "Dad, look what this is doing to you. You have to stop drinking alcohol, promise me you won't drink anymore." She also warns him that he could lose his stage gig if he doesn't sober up. David currently stars in the Vegas production of The Producers. "The doctor's coming over early ... if you have any alcohol in your system, you're going to be fired from the show." David appears intoxicated, lying on the floor, wearing only a pair of blue jeans while attempting to eat a hamburger. In a statement to ET, David says: "I am a recovering alcoholic. Despite that I have been going through a painful divorce and I have recently been separated from my children due to my work, I have been successfully dealing with my issue. Unfortunately, one evening I did have a brief relapse, but part of recovery is relapse. Because of my honest and positive relationship with my daughters who were concerned for my well being there was a tape made that night to show me what I was like. I have seen the tape. I have learned from it and I am back on my game. I thank God for the love and concern from my daughters. The tape was never meant to become public, but got into the hands of individuals who are not worthy of mentioning, who maliciously released the tape for their own self purpose. I hope that someone else will learn from the tape, as I have."

And just in case you've yet to see the vid for yourself, here it is:

It is sad to watch but hopefully The Hasselhoff is really "back on his game" and not just faking it in a press release. [Source, Source]

Hmm ... so apparently the LA City Attorney is taking Paris Hilton to court today to ask the judge to sentence her to 45 days in jail for violating the probation set forth by her recent DUI arrest. Paperwork for the motion was filed earlier this week and everyone is due in court today:

Paris Hilton is in big trouble, if the Los Angeles City Attorney has his way. TMZ has obtained documents filed with the court, in which prosecutors say they want Hilton to spend 45 days in jail. Paris must appear tomorrow on a probation violation, for allegedly driving on a suspended license. Hilton was already on probation after pleading no contest last January to alcohol-related reckless driving. The DMV had suspended Hilton's license as a result of her DUI bust ... The City Attorney will argue that Hilton certainly knew after she was stopped in January that she wasn't allowed to drive, so the second stop was a flagrant violation of law. The documents suggest Hilton mistakenly relied on her lawyer's assumption that Hilton had a right to drive, but the City Attorney claims in the legal papers that it's a bogus argument. According to the papers, Hilton also failed to enroll in an alcohol education program within 21 days of the order directing her to do so. The legal papers ask that "Hilton be ordered to serve 45 days in County Jail." Prosecutors also want her to be ordered "not to consume any alcohol for a continuous period of 90 days." During that 90-day period, prosecutors want her "to be monitored for alcohol consumption ... by use of a Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring (SCRAM) device at her expense." While I still don't believe that Paris will ever have to serve any jail time, I gotta give the prosecutors props for at least making this serious point in court. What would it take for Paris Hilton to learn her lesson? The same could be said about Joe Francis -- and look where he ended up. It will be very interesting to see what comes of this latest legal drama. [Source]

Natalie Portman was on hand last night to honor Bjork at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's Annual Spring Benefit called The Dowtown Dinner. I have no idea what Bjork was honored for (tho, I'm sure it wasn't for her pink and silver outfit -- OY!) nor do I know why Natalie was the one chosen to do the honoring but here are the pictures anyways:

I do heart them both immensely so we'll let the little fashion faux pas slide this time. [Source]

Scarlett Johansson was the guest of honor at a Louis Vuitton event here in Manhattan last night ... here are pics of ScarJo on the red carpet:

I'm not sure it was wise of Scarlett to wear a hyper-color ball gown to the event but, hey, sometimes you gotta take fashion risks ... and sometimes you lose. [Source]

And since we're on the topic of fashion risks ... it appears that dating Gisele Bundchen has inspired footballer Tom Brady to take on a couple of his own. The boy from Beantown was spotted rockin' a New York Yankees ball cap ... while carrying a cute little purse manbag:

I guess the sight of Tom wearing a Yankees hat doesn't sit well with his fans in Boston ... and I'm sure his handbag is raising quite a few eyebrows. I, for one, love that he's carrying such a smart bag. I'm a huge fan of the manbag and see nothing whatsoever wrong with it (in fact, I'm quite enamored of my new John Varvatos bag actually) but I'm not a professional football quarterback. Kudos to Tom for standing up for manbags! I'm sure the metrosexuals of the world are rejoicing right now. [Source]

In amazing theater news, Anthony Rapp (Mark) has announced on his My Space blog that he is reprising is role in the smash Broadway hit Rent this summer ... along side his Rent co-star Adam Pascal (Roger)!

Here's what Anthony writes in his blog: So I've been away from blogging for a while now, for too long, in fact, and for that I apologize. I was waiting for a couple of things to fall into place before being able to go public with them in an official sort of way. The first thing, and it's the one that's been causing the most rumors to fly, is that Adam Pascal and I will be going back into the Broadway production of Rent later this summer. Yep, it's true. I've always said it would take some extraordinary circumstances to bring me back to the show, (because many people over the years have asked me if I would go back), and I consider the opportunity to be on stage with Adam again to be a big time extraordinary circumstance. In all my years of being in this business, (and we're talking over 25 years now), I've rarely felt the kind of connection on stage that I do with Adam. We just click, and I think it will be amazing to get to work with him in that environment again. The dates we'll be back are July 30th until September 9th. So book your tickets... Holy shizz! This is amazing news ... you better believe that I will be there to see it ... at least once! Who's gonna be there with me? Woot! [Source via ONTD!]

And finally ... here are a couple sneak peeks at a couple of sequels that are on the way ... first, the Shrek babies:

And the High School Musical kiddies:

Because green goes so well with pink. [Source, Source]

Les News:
David and I had a bizzy night last night ... first we went down to Broadway to see Beauty and the Beast one more time before the show closes on July 29h:

We had each seen it separately before and thought it would be fun to see it again. Honestly, the show has lost a bit of its magic. It seemed a little "High School Musical" for my tastes and especially when you compare it to shows that are much newer with more elaborate productions ... well, it seemed a little like children's theater. It's too straight a retelling of the movie without anything really different to set it apart. There are some great sets and great tricks but the players just seemed to be going thru the motions. I never once believed that the actress playing Belle was happy ... even at her curtain call, there wasn't one genuine smile. Remember, tho, that the show opened in 1994 (even before Rent) and was Disney's first foray into turning their stories into Broadway shows. I know it was stunning back in the day ... but it's clear that its time has come. The Little Mermaid will be coming to Broadway this Fall in its place ... I can't wait to see the production on that show.

After the show was over we made our way to Union Square for the midnight showing of Spider-man 3:

Hands down, I loved the movie. The FX were stunning and the trilogy got tied up nicely ... perhaps there was a bit too much crying for my taste but over all, it was a great film. I love Venom. They really did him right ... my only complaint was that there wasn't enough of him (and where was his tongue? Hello?). The Sandman (and his FX) were amazing ... I just wish they could've done more with Venom as well. The story is very action-packed ... but it got really schmaltzy at the end ... did all of the characters in the film have to cry? Even Sandman? C'mon ... and no offense to Kirsten Dunst, but her singing in the film was really bad -- she really should've been fired. To be fair, Tobey Maguire's dancing was equally bad. They're both really great as Mary Jane and Peter Parker so I still love them. It's hard to believe that after all the waiting ... it's over already.

I have to give shout-outs to Spencer (who I met at Beauty and the Beast) and Mike (who I met at Spider-man 3) ... it was very cool meeting the both of you!

Not sure what's going on tonight ... I think we're keeping it low key for once ... I do have a coffee date this afternoon tho ... and I'm very excited -- deets tomorrow!

I'm out.
