Dress U Up In My Lurve

Today is Hallow's Eve, better known as Halloween, and I want to send out lots of love to all the ghouls and goblins out there who are celebrating this fun holiday today:

Pagans consider today the end of the year so, in a way, it's New Year's Eve and I'm counting on all y'all having lots of fun today and tonight. A large number of Pink is the new Blog readers have been sending in costumed photos since last weekend and I will be posting some of them at the end of today's post. Thank you all for sharing and, again, Happy Halloween!!!! [Source]

Britney Spears' new album, Blackout, was finally released yesterday and on the very day that it became available on iTunes it rocketed to the #1 position on the Album Download chart:

Thus far, Britney's song Gimme More went to #1 on the iTunes Song Download chart and the Ringtone Download chart and now Blackout sits atop the Album Download chart. Even without a lick of in person promo on Britney's part (and it sounds like there will be little to no promo for the album at all at this point), her music continues to do very well considering. I'm pretty sure that the album will end up debuting at #1 on the Billboard chart next week ... let's keep those fingers crossed and keep buying those albums :) [Source]

But, as usual, the news on the Britney front isn't all good. Not only has the Canterbury Institute decided to target Britney Spears in their Don't Die ad campaign (much like they did to Lindsay Lohan last month) which runs today in the New York Daily News but the judge's ruling in the ongoing Spederline custody battle (the most recent hearing was last Friday) was released yesterday and, unfortch for her, Britney did not win back custody from her ex-husband Kevin Federline:

The decision is in -- Britney Spears has not regained custody of her kids. Issuing his order today, Commissioner Scott Gordon gave Spears three visits per week, two from 12:00 Noon to 7:00 PM and one overnight visit. The visits will be monitored. Spears and K-Fed are ordered to figure out holiday schedules with the kids. Britney must submit evidence that she childproofed her pool area by Friday. In the order, the Commish wrote that when Britney has the kids, "the environment at the house ranged from chaotic to almost somber with little communication at all." The Commish also recounts what the parenting coach complained of -- that "during all three of my visits, Ms. Spears rarely engaged with the children in either conversation or play." According to the report, the coach wrote, "It seems that [Britney's] choices are dependent more upon what she wants to do at any given time rather than what would be more enjoyable for the children." The coach also said Spears seemed to have a "lack of general attention at times" but there was nothing she "would characterize as abusive in a traditional sense." And then the most damning comment from the parenting coach: "The problem is that unless Ms. Spears realizes the consequences of her behavior and the impact that it has [on] her children, nothing is going to be successful." Sad but absolutely unsurprising in the least. Anyone at all familiar with THIS would know that Britney's life is extremely chaotic. It would seem that the parenting coach is of the same mind of pretty much anyone else out there who has been paying any attention at all to our dear Britney in recent months -- unless she learns how to alter her behavior in such a way as to put her children first, in front of absolutely everything else in her life, she will not be a successful parent. At this point, I'm not sure what it might take for 1.) Britney to learn that lesson and 2.) Britney to prove the court that she's ready to be a full-time parent. [Source]

Moving on ... celebs of varying caliber were on hand last night at the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal City last night for the release party for the new Simpsons video game hosted by Electronic Arts. Here are a few pics:

Simpsons creator Matt Groening and The Simpsons themselves came out for the party ... as did celebs like Hanson, Shar Jackson and Ian Ziering. Fortunately for Shar and Ian the fact that they don't have anything else going on in their lives now that their reality TV shows Celebrity Rap Superstar and Dancing with the Stars no longer need them means that they could enjoy the party unfettered. At least Shar won her competition ... poor Ian can't even say that ... he must be praying for a new project to latch on to. Until then ... he'll prolly be shopping his pretty mug at all the parties he can. [Source]

In other animated news, the insanely hilarious Family Guy celebrated its 100th episode this week at an event at Social Hollywood in LA in front of the ep's airing this coming Sunday night. Here are a couple pics from the Family Guy party and the promo poster for the 100th episode:

You will note that the poster artwork suggests that viewers call 1-877-4-STEWIE which, when called, offers a fun little message from the Quahog Police. I'm a big fan of the show, their Star Wars episode which aired earlier this season was absolutely genius. I can't believe the show has been around for 100 eps already ... but they've got a long way to go to catch up with The Simpsons who've been on the air for about 20 years now. So far, they win! [Source]

Here are a few amazing photos from Ashlee Simpson's Prom birthday party that was held earlier this month. Ashlee and co. teleported back to 1984 for her 23rd birthday shindig and it looks like everyone in attendance dressed the part ... behold:

LOL! I gotta admit ... this looks like it was one hell of a fun party. Not only is this the best idea I've seen in a long time but the authenticity of the outfits looks like it made for a special night for Ashlee. I love it! [Source]

Skye Sweetnam, who's album Sound Soldier was released in Canada yesterday (and can be ordered online HERE), made an appearance on MTV Live (also yesterday) for Candian MTV to do promo for the album. Here are a few pics from her interview:

Skye talked a bit about her experience with Britney Spears, who she toured with on her last tour, and explained how she initially thought the "weird guy" who was hanging around backstage on her European tour wasn't a new roadie but turned out to be Kevin Federline, Britney's future ex-husband. The interview is accompanied by a couple of performances by Skye but, sadly, cannot be seen outside of Canada. The interview, tho, is streamable for the rest of the world and can be seen HERE. Check it out. [Source]

On this side of the border, the Backstreet Boys are also workin' hard to do promo for their new album Unbreakable which was also released yesterday. Here are a few pics of BSB from their appearance on MTV's TRL yesterday afternoon ...

... and then from their cd signing at the Virgin Megastore in Times Square last night:

BSB are the last boyband standing from the gaggle of boybands who reigned supreme in the last couple years of the 90s and the first couple years of the 2000s. As every other boyband either fell or disbanded, the Backstreet Boys kept a loose confederation (losing only one member, Kevin Richardson, in the process) which allowed them to regroup again and release this new album. I'm not sure that the Boys will be able to enjoy the stunning success that they did back in their hey day but, I must confess, I've heard some of the new album and found it pretty entertaining. BSB fans will not be disappointed, Unbreakable is a classic Backstreet Boys album. [Source]

In extremely sad news, it is my sad duty to give a hearty Peace the Spork Out to veteran actor and singer Robert Goulet, who passed away yesterday at the age of 73 due to complications pulmonary fibrosis:

Robert Goulet, the handsome, big-voiced baritone whose Broadway debut in "Camelot" launched an award-winning stage and recording career, has died. He was 73. The singer died Tuesday morning in a Los Angeles hospital while awaiting a lung transplant, said Goulet spokesman Norm Johnson. He had been awaiting a lung transplant at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after being found last month to have a rare form of pulmonary fibrosis. Goulet had remained in good spirits even as he waited for the transplant, said Vera Goulet, his wife of 25 years. "Just watch my vocal cords," she said he told doctors before they inserted a breathing tube. Goulet's death came as a bit of a shock to me since I had no idea that he was even sick. Robert Goulet has been starring in some very funny commercials for Emerald Nuts in recent months (which can been seen HERE) so it never occurred to me that he might be ill. I was not a big fan of his music but everyone pretty much knows who Robert Goulet is ... it's a shame that he can no longer be with us. [Source]

Roberto Cavalli, friend and designer for celebrities the world over, gave an interview this week that inadvertently revealed that Jennifer Lopez is, indeed, with child. And Roberto Cavalli would know, he's the one who designed all of the flowy, loose-fitting outfits that J. Lo has been wearing on stage and in public in recent weeks:

Designer Roberto Cavalli has officially confirmed what has been rumored for months: Yes, Jennifer Lopez is pregnant. (And as the man charged with designing outfits for her changing body, he should know.) Asked what types of clothing he designs for his celebrity clients, he told PEOPLE exclusively on Tuesday, "Well Jennifer Lopez, at this moment, she requests something very special because she is waiting for the baby. It is so complicated because every week she is getting bigger," added the designer, speaking from his celebration promoting Roberto Cavalli Vodka at his New York showroom. Cavalli designed multiple loose-fitting and flowing outfits for the 38-year-old singer, who is on tour with husband Marc Anthony. "The thing about Jennifer Lopez, she is a singer, she is a dancer," said Cavalli. "Most of the time when I prepare something for the tour, the performer, they want something very soft so they can dance and so they can move free" ... A rep for Lopez did not immediately return calls for comment. So, Roberto Cavalli is but the latest of intimate friends to J. Lo and Darc Anthony to confirm what pretty much everyone else on Earth seems to already know. Still, alleged parents-to-be Jennifer Lopez and Darc Anthony have yet to offer any official confirmation. At the rate at which her stomach is growing, it really can't be much longer now. [Source]

Yesterday I wondered if I was the only person who was not being wowed by this second season of Heroes and it turns out that, yes, I am not alone. The show is pulling in 3 million less viewers than it was last season and, in a new interview, Heroes creator Tim Kring is downplaying the numbers. According to him, we, the TV viewing audience, are just not watching the show properly and that we need to be taught how to watch the show in the correct manner ... and that is why we're not getting it:

Heroes has been on the tips of television-viewers' tongues a lot this year, but not for the same reason as last season. The superhero show was a breakout hit last year, but this season it has been the target of critics who cite disjointed storylines, too many characters, and a lack of direction for disappointing fans. Viewers have also tuned out; last week's episode rang in the worst numbers in the key 18-49 demographic ever for the series, according to Nielsen Media Research. But there's one man who isn't fazed and thinks fans shouldn't be worried either: series creator Tim Kring. Speaking with The Los Angeles Times, Kring dismissed the numbers much like many other television executives have: DVRs, online episodes, the Internet. What's more, ratings drops are taking their toll on almost all shows, not just Heroes. As for the rest of the criticism, Kring is promising that it will all make sense. "It will all be paid off by episode 11," Kring said. "From seven to 11 are the best episodes we've ever done." The Heroes crew has always said that this current season would be split up into "volumes," with the current one, titled "Generations," concluding midseason ... "Part of what happens on any show is that you enter a relationship with your viewers where you teach them how to watch your show and they teach you what they seem to be responding to," Kring said, reports the Deseret News. "And we, I think, are in this process right now of teaching the audience how to get used to the idea that not everybody is going to be in every single episode." Some think that Heroes is just undergoing a sophomore slump. However, Kring may be thinking that viewers are looking at season two a bit too harshly by elevating season one unrealistically. "People tend to look at last season and see things in it that were not in it. We haven't deviated that much [from last season's formula]." See, I've been watching TV for a very long time ... so I think I know what I'm doing. My complaint isn't that all the characters aren't featured in every episode ... and if Tim Kring thinks that's the problem with the show this season then he's the one who is really not getting it. The storyline is moving way too slowly at this point and nothing of substance is happening to keep the viewers interested. I believe that the show is going to get better and I'm really looking forward to these amazing eps. 7 thru 11 but I take some offense that the show's creator seems to be blaming the audience for the slump in ratings. If your show appears boring then folks aren't going to want to tune in ... plain and simple. It seems that the show needs to pay more attention to the product they're putting out and less attention to teaching the viewing audience how to watch TV. [Source]

Vicki B. is proudly showing off her new darker locks and, dare I say it, she looks lovely doing so:

VB may still appear to be an unfeeling, plastic robot-woman but with this return to her darker hair color, she looks more like the unfeeling, plastic robot-woman that we all came to know and love in the first place. I say no more blonde hair for Posh ... she can leave that look to her hot hubby David Beckham. [Source]

And speaking of that hot hubby of hers, here are a few pics from Becks's pictorial in the new issue of Arena magazine:

Yum, yum, yum. The man just looks hawt in pretty much every single picture he takes. How is it that a wife-beater t-shirt can look so wrong on a guy like K-Fed but sooooo right on a guy like Becks? Hmm ... that is the existential query of the day. [Source]

Speaking of yum ... here are a couple pics of Mario Lopez showing off his hot bod in a little gladiator costume that homeboy wore to a pre-Halloween party this past weekend:

With a butt like this one, it'd be criminal to keep it hidden away. I wholly approve of this costume. [Source]

AND SPEAKING OF YUMMY HOT BUTTS THAT SHOULDN'T BE HIDDEN AWAY, here are a few screencaps from the upcoming 3rd season of the show Dante's Cove which airs on here! Networks. The new season had its premiere on October 19 and features new castmember Reichen Lehmkuhl doing what he does best:

Click above to see larger, uncensored NSFW images

I've never been particularly fond of Reichen's acting prowess (having suffered thru his movie The Scorned where he played a straight guy taught me a valuable lesson -- Reichen is sometimes better seen and not heard ... altho, he's not bad as the random waiter on The Young and the Restless from time to time ... but I'm getting off point) but I'm deffo gonna hafta tune in to the new season of Dante's Cove to see Reichen's abilities first hand with my own eyes. Mmmm ... I hope there is more of this sort of stuff to be had on the show. [Source via Source]

The "official" Joker website WhySoSerious.com that goes along with the promo machine for the new Batman sequel The Dark Knight has been updated with a new interactive game. Folks in different cities are given instructions and are asked to take pictures in their cities to be sent in to the site:

Already, many folks in many of the cities have sent in their pics and a message is starting to take shape. Click HERE to see what's been revealed so far or to find out if your city has yet to be represented in the game. [Source]

And finally ... here is a whole slew of photos sent in by Pink is the new Blog readers dressed up in their various Halloween costumes. This year, there are a whole lotta Britney Spears' out there, natch:

Oh man ... I think the last pic of girls dressed up like Promises Rehab Center is my fave! But Amy Winehouse is also pretty popular this year as well:

Here are a bunch of various other costumes that are cute, scary and inventive:

Thank you all so much for taking the time to send in your pics. I couldn't post them all but I did want to post as many as I could make fit. Halloween is such a fun holiday ... thank you all for sharing your fun with all of us :) xoxo

Les News:
My plans to hang out with Tracey and Zakiya didn't pan out like I hoped they would last night so I ended up chillin' with Sarah and Mark again. Actually, if I still lived here that'd what I'd be doing anyways so it ain't no thang. We got to watch the season premiere of Nip/Tuck which I *loved*. Having the show set in LA is brills ... I just know this season is going to rock. And props to Defamer for getting a shout in last night's ep :)

This evening, David arrives from NYC to spend the rest of the week with me here in Detroit ... I think a bunch of us are getting together for food and drinks so I'm very excited. I hope ya'll have a fun, safe Halloween ... I' am out.

Black's Out

At long last ... the day that Britney Spears fans have been waiting 4 long years for has finally arrived. Britney's new album, Blackout, is officially released for sale online, on iTunes and in stores today. To celebrate, Britney did something that she hardly ever does ... she went out for a night on the town. Er, well, actually, she went out for a few nights on the town ... which she does often ... but it's Blackout day so we forgive her everything today ;) Here are pics of Brit Brit making her grand exit from a Blackout release soiree at Winston's last night:

After she finished gettin' her groove on at Winston's, she donned a pirate wench costume and made her way to the Virgin Megastore in Hollywood to surprise the fans who were waiting to purchase the album at midnight. Unfortch for the fans, tho, parking problems discouraged Britters and she decided to leave instead ... only to get pulled over by the cops, who then let her off with a warning. Yeah, sounds like a typical Monday night in Britneyworld to me. [Source]

But, altho our dear Britney is known for her crazy antics more than for anything else these days, you're gonna wanna make sure to get a copy of her amazing new album -- don't believe me? Click HERE to read a bunch of extremely positive reviews of the album. I promise, the disc is full of hit songs that I'm sure will go a long way towards helping get some cred back for the falling popstar:

The album can be purchased from Amazon.com, iTunes (which comes with 3 bonus tracks) or in your local store. If you're looking for a little more for your money, the first 100 people who purchase $75 worth of Britney's new fragrance Believe products will also get a free copy of the album! Woot!!! Anyone? Anyone? [Source]

ATTENTION: HEROES SPOILER ALERT WARNING

Okay ... so, I swear, I'm really hanging in there with this second season of Heroes but I know I can't be the only one out there who is suffering a bit from the slow pace that the show has taken since it's season debut a few weeks ago. Because my parents don't have a DVR in their home, I made plans to hang out with Sarah and Mark at their place (which has 2 DVRs, mind you) so that I could watch my Monday night TV for blog recapping today. They have only watched a couple eps of Heroes when I visited them last year and, back then, they were both very interested in what was going on, asking me questions and pretty entertained for watching a couple of eps out of context. Last night, Mark left the room out of boredom and Sarah looked ready to gouge her eyes out. Granted, I didn't feel quite as put off as they did but the point is clear ... I can see how the show might have a hard time winning over new viewers with the stuff they've been putting out this season:

Kristen Bell, who made her Heroes debut last week, was nowhere to be seen this week and Hayden Panettiere (who was MIA in last week's ep) made her return to the screen. Hmm ... I wonder if this is intentional. The blondes can't appear in the same ep or something? Maybe the ladies aren't quite as close as I assumed. Anyways, I'm digressing ... Claire felt the need to become a cheerleader again, going to extreme lengths to get on the team (and honestly, I really thought her little scheme could've been so much cooler than it turned out to be) ... and that was pretty much the highlight for me. The revelation of a possible cure for the mutant gene, er, the Heroes superpowers was a bit interesting (and it occurred to me that the stuff might've been used on Sylar to strip him of his powers in off-screen experimentation) as was the double cross by Takezo Kenzei -- that actually made me raise at least one eyebrow but, overall, I was soooooo unimpressed ... sadly, again. The last portion of the ep, where Peter and his Irish lass teleported to future NYC, looks promising but I was so distracted by the cheap-looking effects to really get all that excited. I hate sounding like a hater or a Debbie Downer but I'm finding the slow pace is really having a negative effect on my feelings for the show. I really hope they step it up ... I wanna get excited for the show again. [Source]

ATTENTION: THE HILLS SPOILER ALERT WARNING

At least The Hills consistently manages to keep me entertained on a weekly basis. Last night's ep had much better editing and it appears that previous complaints and suggestions from past ep recaps have been taken to heart ... especially by Teen Vogue West Coast Editor Lisa Love. She finally got that bald spot taken care of ... yay! The promos for this last night's ep made it sound like Spencer and Brody would be meeting up to talk about a possible reconciliation but, alas, that didn't happen. We did get a very special guest appearance tho:

You know, I expected more in the facial expressions department from Whitney, especially since she had such an important task to take care of in NYC but ... it wasn't meant to be. I think Whitney is saving her best expressions for LC's storytelling time. Lisa Love looks heaps better since she spray painted that patch of baldness on the part in her hair ... now if she would just stop wearing those sleeveless shirts so that she can hide that arm pit waddle she'll be a hot fox. Amy Astley was not lookin' cute ... in fact, everyone in New York had a markedly fug look about them (additionally, they all came off as bitchy, too). I wonder if that was intentional ... making the fine folks of NYC look grimey in comparison to the lovelies in town from SoCal. As soon as Amy told LC that she'd be working in Marc Jacobs's office for the day I *knew* that queen was gonna come out for the cameras. I'm actually surprised that LC didn't get up when he came out to meet her ... but they prolly rehearsed that scene so much, she was too tired to stand for the final take. Spencer's teeth really bothered me this ep ... they were everywhere ... but he did impress me with his solidarity statement for his ex-BFF Brody when he said to Heidi, So many people have said bad things about Brody, am I friend with those people? Yeah, right! Aww ... poor Spencer really misses his bro. I won't be surprised if those two end up getting back together ... but I also wouldn't be surprised if they don't. It's a shame the guys couldn't make up in time for Halloween so that they could go out as the superheroes that they dressed up as over the weekend together. That would've been cute. Wee! I am so loving The Hills right now. [Source]

Last night, Kylie Minogue was honored with the UK Music Industry Trust's 2007 award in "recognition of her universally acclaimed status as an icon of pop and style" at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London's Park Lane last night. Here are a few pics from the event’s red carpet arrivals:

Kylie looked amazing in her gold dress designed by Dolce and Gabbana as did little sister Dannii Minogue in her silver dress designed by Aussie designer Martin Grant. Cathy Dennis (who was once a pop star in her own right and one of Kylie's best songwriters) was also in the hiz for the Kylie celebration altho, on the red carpet, she looked like she'd rather chop off her own arm with a rusty axe than smile for the cameras. Sophie Ellis Bextor looked heaps better, smiling and looking lovely for the photogs. [Source]

Kylie performed her new single 2 Hearts with friend and collaborator Jake Shears from Scissor Sisters and also performed a song with piano man Jamie Cullum, here are a few pics from Kylie's performances last night:

[A] radiant Kylie said she was 'overwhelmed' to be presented with the Music Industry Trust's 2007 award in 'recognition of her universally acclaimed status as an icon of pop and style'. Clearly taking her recent movie White Diamond about her battle with breast cancer, to heart, she dazzled in diamond earrings from jeweller Tous. And the bodice of her floor-length dress sparkled with thousands of Swarovski crystals. Dolce & Gabanna had dressed her personally for the event at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London's Park Lane and she repaid the favour by dressing head to toe in D&G including her bag and shoes. Her sister, Dannii, who is currently a judge on ITV's X-Factor, accompanied her dressed in a column of silver by Australian designer Martin Grant. Dannii presented the award to her sister after she gave an exclusive performance of her new single 2 Hearts. Kylie said: "It is an incredible honour to be the recipient of this year's Music Industry Trust's award and I'm truly thrilled to be recognised in this way." The award has raised more than £2.7million for its two charities, Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and the BRIT Trust. David Munns, chairman of the award committee, said: "There is no doubt that of our 15 award recipients to date, Kylie is by far the most glamorous. She deserves this award for her success over 20 years, staying at the top in one of the toughest professions and inspiring millions with her grace, dignity and humanity." Things just continue to get better and better for Kylie these days and they couldn't be happening to a nicer person. I'm so happy that she's doing so well and that she is enjoying the love and admiration from so many people right now. I'm pretty much dying to hear Kylie's new album X but I am glad that I have something to look forward to now that Britney's album has been released :) [Source]

Former Bold and the Beautiful and current Young and the Restless star Adrienne Frantz (who plays Amber Moore on both shows) threw a little shindig at Area nightclub in LA last night in celebration of the release of her debut album. Here are a few pics of Adrienne and her closest soap star friends from last night's party:

Adrienne's new album, entitled Anomaly, will not be released on CD until November 6th but it can be downloaded right now from Amazon.com's MP3 store HERE. I'm not a huge fan of Adrienne's character on either show (which makes Amber a great character ... she drives me nuts!) but I do love both shows so ... I'm kinda interested to hear what this album sounds like. If any B&B and Y&R fans get this album, lemme know if it's worth owning. I'd be much obliged. [Source]

Here are a few more pics from Kate Hudson's Halloween party that took place over the weekend (the one that that mysterious new celeb couple showed up at) ... here we have sometimes Hills co-star Marc Jacobs (dressed as a cheerleader), his boyfriend Jason Preston (dressed as a gladiator) and a smiling Mary-Kate Olsen (EEK!) dressed as a vampire:

See, this is why I love Halloween. It's the only holiday that can get a usually dour faced ghoul like MK Olsen to actually smile for the cameras ... it is such a magical holiday, indeed! I am very excited for Halloween this year. David is flying in to Detroit tomorrow night and, altho I don't think we'll be doing much dressing up, I know we're gonna have a blast with my friends. Princess Z will be going trick-or-treating for the first time this year and I have been getting LOADS of photos from Pink is the new Blog readers in their fun Halloween costumes. I'm gonna try and post as many pics sent in by Pink readers in their costumes in tomorrow's post. [Source]

Reichen Lehmkuhl and friends were on hand for the official launch of Reichen's Fly Naked jewelry line at the Fred Segal store on Melrose Ave. recently and the blog Queer Diva was on hand for the event. Here are pics of Reichen posing with his boyfriend Ryan Barry and his friend, designer Andrew Christian:

Sales from Reichen's military/Air Force inspired jewelry line will benefit the GLBT online store LoveandPride.com and 10% of each sale will be donated to the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network -- which is a national, non-profit legal services, watchdog and policy organization dedicated to ending discrimination against and harassment of military personnel affected by "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and related forms of intolerance. If anyone can turn titanium jewelry into a way to fight for gay rights, it'd be a gay man ... and a hot gay man at that ;) [Source]

Fall Out Boy played a gig on Day 3 of the Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans, LA this past Sunday afternoon and bassist Pete Wentz thought it'd be a great idea to climb atop a tall speaker and then jump back down to the stage ... like this:

Unfortunately for Pete, that great idea turned out to be a horribly painful mistake. Eh, at least folks can't accuse Pete of being a wuss ... according to THIS post on his Buzznet photoblog, FOB will not be canceling any shows. Here are pics of Pete's broken foot and of his pooch Hemingway resting on top of him as a bag of ice was applied to his foot after he left the Voodoo Music Experience stage:

ive got good news and bad news, which do you want to hear first?

for anyone who was at the voodoo fest in new orleans- you got to see me jump around. ended up breaking the bone that connects my shin to my foot. no shows will be cancelled. i am currently trying to get a "rocker" boot so i can have a walking cast. currently my foot is the size of a small car. if you see me at a show come sign my cast.

Blaurgh ... that foot looks nasty ... I hope he heals soon ... and I hope that "rocker boot" is able to hide his gross-looking injury. Get well soon, Pete! [Source]

When Hayden Panettiere isn't boring folks to death on her show Heroes (I keed, I keed), she's off saving the world in real life in places as far off as Japan. Here are pics of Hayden along with an oddly placed mermaid at an event orchestrated to help save the dolphins and whales of Japan over the weekend:

I dunno what flashing boobs has to do with saving marine life but if it gets the job done, I'm all for it. Yeah, these photos are kinda weird ... it's unclear if they were shooting a PSA or posing for a photo shoot or if they were really trying to do something tangible for the whales. I bet Hayden got a free trip to Japan out of this event so she prolly didn't care what they made her do in return. [Source]

David Beckham is featured in the new issue of the UK magazine Arena wherein he talks to the mag about soccer, Scientology and his good buddy Tom Cruise. Here is what his coverphoto, shot by famed photographer Steven Klein, looks like:

David Beckham has opened up about his new life in Los Angeles and his friendship with Hollywood heavyweight and devout Scientologist Tom Cruise. The LA Galaxy player, who forged a close bond with the actor in recent years, insists that neither Tom nor wife Katie Holmes have attempted to convert the Beckhams to Scientology. Beckham, who has been named Britain's most powerful man under 40 by Arena magazine, said: "We respect their religion. We respect everything they do and believe in. But they have never turned around to us and said, 'You have to be a part of this', because that's not what they're about. It's never been about that. There's been nothing shoved down our throats because friends don't do things like that." Tom and wife Katie Holmes welcomed David and Victoria to LA with a huge star-studded party in July, and have continued to help them settle into their new life. David told Arena: "They are amazing people who are just so positive about life and they have been great to us." The 32-year-old also has another close Hollywood confidant - Jennifer Lopez's singer husband, Mark Anthony. David revealed: "We talk about all sorts. What's happening that week, that day. What Jennifer's up to, what Victoria's up to. I speak to him at least three or four times a week." Despite reports both David and Victoria are homesick after struggling to crack the US, he says the family is making LA home. He said: "Victoria has done an amazing job on the house. She made sure the kids got into the right schools. It was a big move for them coming without their friends, their nans and granddads. But they love it. They say 'awesome' a lot." Beckham also discussed how he keeps the fire alive in his marriage. He said: "We do romantic things every day - write notes, make breakfast for each other. Something will happen every day that is romantic. Some people will be going 'yuck' at all this ... We were lucky to have wanted the same things in life - to have kids young and be adventurous." Beckham said he was "honoured" at topping the list of powerful men, which also includes Shadow Chancellor George Osborne, Prince Harry, Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich and Bond star Daniel Craig. He added: "To get that title for just being a footballer is quite amazing." Hmm ... should we be at all concerned that Becks has completely surrounded himself with questionable folk? His wife Vicki B. is already a robot, his friend Tom Cruise is a bit whacky and his new friend Marc Anthony is a zombie. Either the man has got really bad taste in cohorts or he just likes lookin amazing in comparison with these folks. Ah well ... I can't wait to see what the rest of the pics from this magazine look like :) [Source, Source]

Jonathan Rhys Meyers is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Details magazine. Here are a few pics from JRM's pictorial where he is proudly showing off his newly grown porn 'stache:

Call me crazy but this dirty-lookin' facial hair is kinda hot. I mean, JRM is hot anyways but this mustache (which looks a lot like it was inspired by Prince) and these chin pubes kinda work on the lad. [Source]

Here are a couple new pics of my boy Gabe Saporta lookin' all half-nekkid along with a couple of Technicolored pics of his amazing band Cobra Starship:

Yeah, yeah ... Gabe is a sexy beast, we all know it. I really wanted to post these pics of the full band since I inadvertently cut keytarist Victoria out of the last set of pics that I posted a few days ago. Have y'all seen the band's new video for their song Guilty Pleasure yet? Click HERE to check it out. [Source via Source]

And finally ... I present to you this extremely disturbing photo from Danny Bonaduce's appearance at the Erotic Ball in San Francisco this past weekend where, for some unGAWDly reason, he thought it would be a good idea to strip nekkid and show the world his penis ... and, well, here's what it looks like:

While this photo isn't quite as heinous as that P33N shot of Chris Crocker that was unleashed a few days ago, this pic is pretty disturbing. Folks, this is a bona fide example of fire crotch ... check it out if you dare ... but, be warned -- I think you may be severely disappointed/nauseated. [Source]

Les News:
Yesterday was prolly my only chilled out day here in Detroit that I'll get to enjoy on this visit. I hung out with my parents in the afternoon and then met up with Sarah for a bit of shopping before we retired to her place to eat pizza and watch TV. Ahh ... just like the good ol' days. This afternoon, I have to get back to errands running (I've yet to pick out the perfect Housewarming gift, tho many of you have sent in some great suggestions) and then I'm supposed to be seeing my Princess Z later on tonight.

So ... that is about all for now. I hope all y'all's Halloween preparations are ready to go for the big night tomorrow. David is flying into Detroit tomorrow night so I'm very excited for his arrival ;) Have a great Tuesday ... and I hope y'all behave this Devil's Night. I'm out.

Rock Your Sox

First things first ... I have to send out huge congratulations to the MLB World Series Champions the Boston Red Sox who have not only won their second World Series Championship in 4 years but did so this time around with a sweep shutout of the Colorado Rockies. Um, did someone say something about a Red Sox curse?

Perched high above his raucous teammates, David Ortiz sprayed bottles of bubbly in every direction, dousing everyone in sight, including himself. Then it was time to deliver a message. "When you wear Red Sox on your shirt," he hollered from atop a clubhouse table, "you're good at something." There's a new monster, and this one's in Boston, too. Overwhelming in every way, the Red Sox swept to their second World Series title in four years Sunday night. Jon Lester, Mike Lowell & Co. left little room for drama with a 4-3 win over the Colorado Rockies in Game 4. Then again, no NL team could have blocked Boston this October. This was hardly a repeat from 2004, when the Red Sox ended their 86-year championship drought by beating St. Louis. Boston is a major league bully these days, playing in rarefied air before crowds who demand to win. "It doesn't get old," manager Terry Francona said. Gone are those pleading, pathetic days when the Red Sox were practically begging to win a title. They've got this down pat now ... Right from the get-go, it was Boston's night. Yeah, I think it's safe to say that the days of Boston yearning to be taken seriously as a World Championship team are totally dunzo. The dreaded curse that kept the World Series trophy out of the Red Sox's hands for all those years appears to have been vanquished once and for all. I know that Bostonians have insane made lurve for their team and I couldn't be happier for them today. Congrats, Bean-towners!!! [Source]

Louis Vuitton and designer Takashi Murakami threw a little shindig in Hollywood this weekend to celebrate the opening of an exclusive, in-house LV boutique along with the artist's first major retrospective inside the Geffen Contemporary Gallery at MOCA which will be open from October 29 through February 11, 2008. Here are a few pics of some of the celebs who came out to party with LV:

Despite the fact that Marc Jacobs thought that blue hair would be a good look for him (it isn't) and Tom Ford decided to botox his eyes shut (eek!), the LV soiree brought out a bunch of pretty people. Ryan Seacrest, who was prettier than his female date, Christina Ricci and James Franco were lookin' pretty hot and Ellen DeGeneres and partner Portia Di Rossi were lookin' very much in love. Louis Vuitton loves any excuse to party but this particular excuse is a very cool one. Fans of LV exclusives might want to check out this new boutique, which will offer limited edition items that feature Murakami's newest character, Chibi Kinoko ("Little Mushroom"). [Source]

Elsewhere in SoCal this past weekend, KIIS FM threw a bash of their own -- the Homecoming concert at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA -- which featured performances by Gwen Stefani, Nicole Sherzinger, Sean Kingston, Timbaland and more. Here are a few pics from Saturday night's show:

Despite the fact that some might've thought the concert left much to be desired, it sounds like it was a fun party to me. The first concerts that I ever attended were radio station festival shows where a bunch of hot performers of the day all performed on the same stage on the same night. I think my first show, sponsored by Power 96.3 here in Detroit featured the likes of C+C Music Factory, Salt N Pepa, Color Me Badd and Milli Vanilli. Yeah, it was pretty hot. While I am a huge Gwen, Nicole and Timbaland fan, I don't know that any of them can measure up to a line up like that one. [Source, Source]

Halloween is only 2 days away and since this past weekend was the pre-Halloween weekend various celebs took the opportunity to get all dolled up for various parties going on around town. Yesterday, we saw that Brody Jenner and BFF Frankie Delgado dressed up as the dynamic duo, Batman and Robin, for the costume party at Opera nightclub last Friday and today we see that Brody's ex-BFF Spencer Pratt also went with a superhero themed costume for a party he attended this weekend with co-star/girlfriend/fiancée Heidi Montag (who dressed as the worst mermaid I've ever seen in my life). Here are a couple of pics of Speidi-Man and Fish Girl:

See ... Brody's Robin costume looks cheesy but somehow it works since Frankie's Batman costume looked equally cheesy ... but in a good way. They actually look really cute in their outfits. Spencer's Spider-Man costume just looks cheap (don't even me started on Heidi's lame costume. That's the best she could come up with?). Both super thin costumes allowed the boys to show off their personal assets to some degree ... and I gotta admit ... I think Brody wins in the battle of the bulge. What do you think? [Source]

I think Avril Lavigne did some dressing up of her own on her weekend visit to Hyde nightclub ... but I can't believe she thought it would be a good idea to dress up like Chris Leave Britney Alone Crocker ... yikes!

This has to rank as the worst.Halloween.costume.ever ... tho, it's hard to tell if Avril was really wearing a costume or if she was just wearing one of her regular, everyday outfits. [Source]

In further horrrrrible costume news, here are pictures of Paris Hilton rocking her second Halloween costume from this weekend. Apparently, Paris wanted to dress up as Alice in Wonderland goes to Hell:

Again, if you take away the freaky contact lenses, how would one know that Paris was dressed up? Doesn't she usually have her ass hanging out of her outfits on a regular day-to-day basis? [Source]

So far, I think the best Halloween costumes that I saw from this weekend's batch of celebs belong to Marilyn Manson and his newest lady Evan Rachel Wood:

I think this is the least amount of make-up I've ever seen this couple wear in tandem. [Source]

Natalie Portman didn't go out to any Halloween parties this weekend but she did do a little dressing up of her own:

Either Natalie was playing coy, she was extremely cold or she was trying to hide the most heinous zit imaginable ... cuz we all know that Natalie has been very unshy lately (NSFW). I wonder what gives. [Source]

Speaking of heinous zits, Mel C., the Sportiest Spice of all, made her way to the sunny shores of Los Angeles this weekend and took to the streets to show off her stress-induced blemishes. Yipes! Could all the strain of taking up the Spice Girls mantle be taking its toll on poor Spotty Sporty?

First it was Victoria Beckham, now Mel C is showing the pressure of the Spice Girls reunion tour all over her face. The 33-year-old emerged from a three hour beauty session in LA with pimply and irritated skin, a hint that the hectic schedule is starting to take its toll. Earlier this month, Posh was struck by a similar affliction - she suffered a nasty breakout after weeks of transatlantic travel. Sporty Spice - real name Melanie Chisholm - touched down in the US over the weekend to continue dance rehearsals for the group's impending comeback, which kicks off in Vancouver in December. The Spice Girls camp has been in overdrive in recent weeks, filming a video for their new single Headlines, making an advert for Tesco, and learning the choreographed routines. To make matters more stressful, tensions between the girls have reignited, with the video's director threatening to quit after the mood turned sour on set, according to reports. The poor lamb, bless her heart. It can't be easy making all those millions of dollars to perform songs with lyrics like zig-a-zig-a again. [Source]

At least Mel C. looked heaps better upon her arrival at LAX airport a few days ago:

Despite her goofy faces, she looked pretty good. I have to admit, it's really great having the Spices back on the scene. [Source]

Spice Boy David Beckham has been keeping himself occupied with his new toy, his brand new $400,000 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet, which he's been racing around town in the past few days. Here are a couple of slightly blurry pics of Becks speeding his way along the streets of LA:

Pink readers Lauren and Chris had their own personal Becks sighting in Beverly Hills this weekend, they write: Just wanted to let you know we (myself and the guy I'm seeing) were in Beverly Hills on Saturday and sighted DAVID BECKHAM in his new Porsche. We were standing in the long ass line outside of "Sprinkles" and saw him pull up to Kevin Josephson Salon across the street. He and someone else in the car (we could not see but it looked like a male) pulled into a red zone and someone from the salon came out to speak to him. They talked for 2-3 mins and then he drove away. Beckham was wearing an Adidas sleeveless shirt. We both said it totally looked like him, but I said I didn't think he had that car ... and then I read your blog and realized he just bought it! So he must have been out cruising the town in the new ride. Wee! The surest way to keep Becks's mind off feeling homesick for England is for him to be occupied with a new toy like this. Here's hoping I'll be able to see Becks tooling around town in his new whip once I return home to LA. [Source]

Xtina Aguilera continues her preparations for the arrival of whatever it is that she's got baking in her oven. Here are pics of Xtina shopping for some baby things in Hollywood late last week:

Her bump is getting bigger and bigger ... it won't be long now before she pops out her little hatchling. I can't wait to see what it looks like ... I really hope it doesn't have Jordan Bratman's ears. Actually, on second thought, maybe I do :) [Source]

Here are a few really cute pics of Alyson Hannigan and hubby Alexis Denisof out for a bite to eat at Le Pain in Brentwood, CA over the weekend:

Altho Aly is lookin' a bit like she stole that hat from the closet of Elmer Fudd, it's still a cute look for her. Aly and Alexis are one of my fave couples ever ... I heart them! [Source]

Heidi Klum and Seal are the new faces of VW here in the US and the happy couple posed for a fun photoshoot for the car company recently ... here are the pics:

This is another couple that I'm very fond of. They make beautiful babies and always seem so happy when they are together. I must confess that I'm not the biggest fan of Seal's music but I love me some Heidi something awful. Have I mentioned that the new season of Project Runway debuts on Bravo TV on Wednesday November 14th? Make sure you tune in ... so we can enjoy the recap together the following day :) [Source]

And finally ... one last bit of celeb Halloween fun from this past weekend ... can you guess which newly high profile celeb couple, all dolled up for Kate Hudson's masquerade party in the Hollywood Hills, is hiding beneath these costumes?

This new couple have been making the rounds in a very public fashion lately after spending most of the year staying as far away from one another whenever they were out in public. I dunno that it's legal for the gentleman half of this couple to be driving with that mask on so I really wish he'd take it off and smile for the cameras ... he's too cute to hide behind that mask. Click HERE to find out who it is. [Source]

Les News:
Yesterday's play date with Tracey and Zakiya was so much fun. I was running a bit late so as soon as I got to their place we had to take off to get our shopping done. Little Princess Z needed some shoes so we got her a few pairs of the cutest shoes we could find. Z is a new fan of Thomas the Tank Engine so I had to get her all the Thomas stuff I could find ... we really had a great time shopping. Here are a few iPhone pics of the Little Miss on our shopping spree:

The three of us spent the rest of the night just hanging out at their place. I never get to spend enough time with my little Princess so Tracey and I made plans to hang out again on Tuesday night again. Z also got this ADORABLE black and pink dress so hopefully she'll wear it for our next playdate.

Tonight, I'm hanging out with Sarah and Mark again but not before I do some shopping for their upcoming Housewarming Party. If any of y'all have any great ideas for a fun gift, please send them my way ... I'm still not sure what I want to get for them.

Have a great Monday, y'all. I'm out.
