OY! Today is going to be a rough day. As I suspected, last night's party at Sarah and Mark's new home for their housewarming was INSANE! The place was packed with folks who flew in from all across the country to help christen their new home ... and there was a lot of celebration and revelry going on ... all night long. Some people couldn't handle it and ended up crashing midway thru the night (unfortch having to pay the consequences) and others, like me, lived to tell the tale ... even tho I'm a bit wrecked today. So, here is a very short Sunday post so that I can crawl my sad ass back into bed and let the toxins and poisons work their way out of my system. It was a really good party :)

We begin, as we often do, with Britney Spears ... who spent part of her weekend running all over town (as she often does) doing this or that with this person or that person. Cousin and former assistant Ali Sims has been in town with Britters since last weekend and has been her constant companion all the while. The ladies took a little shopping trip to a Gap A Children's Place store (a few Pink readers emailed to let me know that I got the store wrong) to pick up a few winter essentials for Britney's baby boys Sean Preston and Jayden James:

I guess my question is, why does a woman who spends $16,000.00 a month on clothes for herself end up going to a Gap A Children's Place clothing store (which I'm told is even cheaper than Gap) to buy clothes for her children? Don't get me wrong, there is nothing at all wrong with shopping at a store like A Children's Place or Gap (or Baby Gap -- where I got some of the cutest little outfits for Princess Zakiya) but sometimes the things that Britney does confounds me. Actually, most things that Britney does confounds me. I guess she's just keepin' it real ... after all, she is country, y'all. [Source]

Jessica Simpson wouldn’t be caught dead in a Gap store ... but she has no problem with shopping at Macy's. Actually, she has no problem with other people shopping at Macy's, especially if they're shopping for things from her Jessica Simpson Collection clothing and accessories line. While this sort of thing isn't necessarily my particular cup of tea, I can appreciate how fans might be excited for an up-close and personal interaction with Jessica Simpson should they agree to shell out $50.00 on her products. It is cheaper to meet Jessica Simpson than it was to meet Mariah Carey at her Macy's in store appearance a couple of weeks ago. [Source]

Xtina Aguilera has finally officially confirmed the ridiculously obvious to Glamour magazine in an interview about her pregnancy and her desire to be a working mother. Many of Xtina's friends and confidants were happy to spill her beans before now but finally Xtina has taken it upon herself to talk publicly about her coming baby:


Christina Aguilera has finally confirmed what the rest of the world already knew - she's pregnant. Up to now, the singer, 26, has been keeping mum about her growing bump. Speaking at her Beverly Hills home in her pyjamas with her husband Jordan Bratman and her dogs, the chart-topper said she had only one New Year's resolution for 2008. "That'll be about the time I enter into mommyhood, so" she whispered, "I'm hoping to have started a beautiful family with my husband!" The singer told Glamour magazine that music executive Bratman, 30, was ecstatic. "Oh, he's thrilled!, he's just great", she said. "He's so supportive and amazing through everything. He came with me on the last leg of the tour and he was my support system...I gush. I'm a lucky girl." The Dirrty star said she wanted to be a working mother. She told the magazine: "I want to get it right, to balance that well with my career." The 5ft 2in singer added: "When you get married and have a team mate in life, you don't have time for the people around you that are just going to weigh you down. "I'm all about peace and keeping people that are honest and loving in my life." In the interview, Aguilera, who began performing in the Mickey Mouse club with Britney Spears, reflected on why she had not gone down the self-destructive route of some of her contemporaries. She told Glamour: "When you hit 20 or 21 and you're around drugs and alcohol, everyone has a moment when they like to dabble in it and express themselves. It's called being young but there is a boundary. You see all of these horror stories about people that have died of drug overdoses, people that have taken it too far and ruined their lives, and for me, I had so many things that I had yet to accomplish. It was just a matter of thinking, I don't want to waste any time, and sticking to the plan." And so ... the world can now officially know that Xtina is growing a baby in that big bump of hers and isn't just suffering from a gross stomach ailment. Jennifer Lopez, whose expanding belly is getting larger and larger by the second, has yet to speak out publicly about her "rumored" pregnancy ... but she did bring her swelling baby bump out for another little spin at her En Concierto Tour concert stop in Miami, FL this week:


J. Lo's bump isn't quite as large as Xtina's bump is but it's gettin' damn near close. I'm sure an official announcement will come at some point in the future before she explodes babies all over the place. Yessir ... any day now, I'm sure. [Source]

Lindsay Lohan isn't dealing with any baby bumps or any baby drama or any major drama of any sort at all these days. Lindsay's biggest concerns these days seem to revolve around where to get her hair done ... here are pics of Lindsay lookin' faboo as hell as she exits the Ken Paves Hair Salon in LA this week showing off a nice head of big sexy hair:

Woot! I love that Lindsay not only looks great but she's managed to keep her nose out of trouble and her butt out of clubs and parties. It really seems like she is working very hard to maintain her sobriety and I love her for it! Even tho pics of her going to restaurants and hair salons aren't all that dramatic, I think it's worthwhile to keep talking about all the great, normal, healthy things she's doing in her life :) [Source]

Even tho Kylie Minogue's new album, X, is still a few weeks away from release, that doesn't mean we can't have any Minogueness in our lives. Dannii Minogue releases a 2-disc special edition version of her hit albums Girl and Neon Nights tomorrow in addition to her new Greatest Hits compilation which comes with a few new tracks titled Unleashed:


I am really excited to hear these new releases from Dannii. While I'd really love a new album with new songs, I'm happy with this for now. Altho Kylie's album X is not available yet, her new single 2 Hearts is now available for download purchase HERE. [Source]

Soooo yeah ... ugh ... last night's party was really killer ... which is exactly why many of us are creeping around today as if a nuclear explosion went off in our heads. Sarah and Mark's party was amazing ... Mark was surprised by his friends Amy, Jason, Adam and Rice who drove up from Nashville on Friday night and Sarah was surprised by Adriana who I conspired to sneak into town from LA yesterday morning. Pretty much all of Sarah's and Mark's friends on Earth came out for the party ... and it was a good one:


Princess Z showed up in the most adorable black velvet and pink chiffon party dress ... only to have it taken off because she wasn't comfortable. Can you believe that not on single person, me included, managed to take a pic of her in that dress?! Ah well .. she was much happier in her Thomas the Tank Engine pjs instead. My friend Sherri brought her sons Kyle and Daniel to the party ... Kyle is basically a little man now and Daniel is basically the cutest little dude around. My friends Erik and Michelle came out as did our friend Oriana (who flew in from NYC) and, of course, all the Detroit peoples.

Now, I must change some names here to protect the innocent ... we had a friend, let's call her H'adrihaanah, who ended up crashing pretty hard in the middle of the party and well ... she became a fun game for us to play:


We were able to balance a great many things on the poor dear ... I wanted to try a coffee table but, well, I got talked out of it by the new homeowners. Ah well.

We all had an amazing time ... it was so fun hanging out with the gang again ... it was so worth being home for.

I have some recovering to do today ... David flies back to NYC tonight but I'm sticking around for a couple more days. I hope all y'all are having a great weekend ... I am sooooo out.
