The True Story Of 6 Strangers
Welp, it appears that our dear Britney Spears is still a wee bit off kilter today (as if one day we'll awaken to the news that she's "all better" and "back to normal") so I guess it's just best, at this point, to just try and keep track of what's going on with the erratic lass as best we can. There seems to be new development every day ... well, maybe not development exactly, but there is always something else to talk about when it comes to Brit Brit. It's been a little over a week since Britney's infamous 2008 Meltdown and new details are starting to emerge concerning what exactly went down on that fateful night from law enforcement and EMT personnel responding to ... er, the incident. Here are a couple new pictures of Britney rockin' her fave pink wig yesterday and a report from TMZ chronicling the profanity-laced exchange that the emergency folks encountered when they arrived at Chez Spears in Studio City on the night of January 3:

Law enforcement sources have told TMZ about the craziness in Britney's house the night she was committed. It involves profanity, nudity, drugs and wild mood swings. Sources say when the cops showed up, Britney was locked in the master bathroom with Jayden James. Officers saw Britney from the backyard holding Jayden, who did not appear to be upset. Britney refused to come out for nearly three hours. When she did, all she was wearing was panties. Britney was incoherent, screaming at the cops, "What the f*** are you doing in my house? I know who you are." She continued ranting, "I don't need your f***ing help." At one point Britney, whose moods swung wildly from laughter to rage to sobs, hollered, "You will do as I say." At some point Britney put on a see-through nightgown. Before police took her outside, they wanted to cover her with a sweater, and she screamed, "Don't cover me up. I'm f***ing hot." Britney's assistant and nanny were present during the standoff. At one point the assistant told the police that Britney had been "popping pills" all day. Her code for medication was "vitamins" and she repeatedly demanded, "Get me my vitamins!" Officers found a bottle of Prozac in her bedroom. Sam Lutfi arrived and told officers that he and the others around Britney "knew this was coming for a long time," but didn't know how bad it would be. The assistant also told cops that earlier in the day, Britney showed no concern about attending her deposition and would not heed her warnings to show up on time. Sam told law enforcement that Britney had been extremely unstable and had recently purchased a house in Malibu on a whim, began moving furniture in and then changed her mind. As for Jayden James, the reason cops took him to the hospital was because there was a small bruise on his leg. Britney insisted the bruise occurred on Kevin's watch. Police took Jayden to Cedars as a precautionary measure. We're told police will testify about the insanity at Monday's custody hearing.
Uhhhh ... I don't think that Monday's hearing is going to go very well if this sort of testimony is going to be introduced in open court. At this point, who know if Britney will even bother to show up for the hearing ... it seems obvs that she will absolutely lose ALL chance of custody/visitation/whathaveyou if she does not show up in court to plead her case (as weak as it may be). As if this weren't bad enough, it is also being reported that the LAPD has filed a criminal report over the January 3 incident:
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the LAPD wrote up a crime report in connection with last week's standoff at Brit's home. Sources say cops wrote a Child Endangering Report which is now under lock and key at the LAPD. Sources say this is a preliminary investigation report, meaning the LAPD can conduct further inquiry and possibly even arrest Spears if they determine a crime was committed. We're told the report was written because of all of the events at the house -- including locking herself in the bathroom with Jayden and violating the custody order. We're told it's unlikely the LAPD will arrest Brit since the custody court is all over the matter.
I guess thank the Gods for small miracles. The dust has barely begun to settle from that crazy incident and then we had to contend with Britney and her creepy photog boyfriend fleeing the country only to have them re-emerge back in SoCal to get back to doing whatever it is that they like to do together ... all mere days before she is scheduled to appear in court to try and convince a judge that she is worthy of caring for her children again. Yeah. No. We are still a very long way away from anything like that becoming a reality. [Source]
In further bizarre behavior, Britney took her leechy parasitic male companion, Adnan Ghalib, to a car dealership to look at new cars ... while she wore her old wedding dress from her marriage to Kevin Federline in late 2004:

This isn't the gown she wore when she took her, then sacred, vows but it is the dress that she changed into immediately after the actual service which she wore for the rest of the night thruout the reception. I guess the good news is that she can still fit into it, yes? Oh and the latest rumor going around is that Adnan has moved in with Britney. Perfect. [Source]
In happy news, we all heard that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden became proud parents to a bouncing baby girl named Harlow Winter Kate Madden late yesterday afternoon:
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have welcomed a baby girl, her rep tells Usmagazine.com. Harlow Winter Kate Madden was born Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. She weighed 6 lbs., 7 oz. A pal was spotted walking into her room with a giant bundle of pink and white balloons, flowers and a stuffed black and white horse. As Usmagazine.com reported exclusively, she arrived at the hospital late Thursday. Her parents arrived Friday as she went into labor. Madden's brother Benji and his girlfriend Sophie Monk were also at the hospital.
This morning, Joel Madden spoke to People magazine about how he and Nicole are feeling since the birth of their baby girl:

What we do know is that Courtney Thorne-Smith and David Allen Grier both welcomed new babies into their family's yesterday so Friday really was baby-poppin' day!
OJ Simpson has been rearrested and taken into custody in Las Vegas for bail violation ... he was cuffed and shipped off to jail yesterday:

O.J. Simpson was in jail Saturday, accused of violating terms of his bail in an armed robbery case, after a bondsman told authorities the former football star tried to get him to pass a message to a co-defendant. Simpson was awaiting a Wednesday court hearing, when prosecutors planned to request that Simpson's bail be revoked and he be kept in jail until trial, set for April. The 60-year-old arrived in Las Vegas on Friday on a commercial flight from Florida with his bail bondsman, Miguel Pereira. He was taken in handcuffs by a police escort to the Clark County Detention Center. Pereira said he was unhappy because he had not been paid for handling Simpson's bail, and that he gave prosecutors a message Simpson wanted him to take to a co-defendant because he didn't want to face criminal charges. "He left a message instructing me to do something violating a court order," the bondsman told The Associated Press after escorting Simpson from his home in Miami. "I don't want to get involved in such a dilemma or a criminal act." Simpson's attorney denied the allegations.
Whatevs ... I'm convinced he did it. I'm convinced he did everything that he's ever been accused and or tried for and I'm really looking forward to the day when he is thrown behind bars for years and years to come. [Source]
Sooooo ... the divorce between Pamela Anderson and Rick Solomon is still moving forward ... and she may or may not be pregs with his baby ... and they're still hanging out together as if nothing were wrong?

I ain't gonna lie ... I was really, really looking forward to the new dynamic that KC would've brought to a new season of The Hills and I'm really bummed that it may not actually happen. After my afternoon with the Real Worlders, I got a last minute invite from Darion to spend the night with him and Kathy Griffin at the Kodak Theater for the second of the 3 sold out nights there. I was feeling a bit wrecked but I couldn't turn down Kathy. I am so glad I went ... it was, by far, the funnest stand-up routine of hers I've ever seen. She had so much material to work with (she got the party started with Britney and went from there) but she did a masterful job of bringin' the major funny :)
I got to meet a few Pink readers at last night's show ... I have to give a shout-out to Hannah and Louise and I have to send out LOTS OF BIRTHDAY LURVE to Brett who was celebratin' his birthday last night with Kathy!!
Tonight The GangTM are convening for dinner and a movie and I'm really excited to see them all together again.
Oh and I slept in really late today and I loved it! Sleeping = getting better faster so ... yay!
