The TV Guide: Caspian See
I quite liked The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe so I was excited to see this new installment. I must admit, the movie is very true to the book but I did find that it lagged a bit thruout most of the run time. At over 2 hours long, the movie doesn't have much action in it. There is a lot of story but not much excitement. I'm not a fan of the not-so-subtle Christian references in the film (which made it feel a bit preachy, especially when the lion Aslan was guilting everybody for not believing in him) but overall, it was very solid and very entertaining. If you're a fan of the book then I think you're gonna love this movie. If you've never read the book nor seen the first Narnia movie (like Mike) then you might end up falling asleep repeatedly, missing out on most of the movie (ahem, like Mike ;) I enjoyed, it is deffo worth seeing.
Here is a cute pic of our foursome in front of the fountain at The Grove after the movie was finished:
Tonight, Jim and I are going to a midnight screening of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull ... which I'm very excited for. I have a few more things to take care of before I fly off to NYC for the weekend ... thankfully the weather is beautiful outside to spurn me along on my tasks :)
