Blown Out
Sarah looked on as the guy changed the tire.
He had an awesome air gun (with which to whip off the lug nuts) and a super jack -- he had the whole thing done in about 2 minutes:
We rode the rest of the night on her sad little donut tire:
I had to to do some birthday shopping and I also had to pick up new pants for work. Sarah had her own shopping to do but fortunately she didn't buy this stole:
We were at the mall for a while (found pants at the Gap and Hollister) and then had a late dinner at BD's Mongolian BBQ. We really weren't in the mood for a late movie so we went to an Irish pub instead -- Gus O'Connor's. This place rocked! They had these little booths that were totally private and had their own window that opened so that bartender could lean in and take your order:
We had a great time! I suspect we'll be visiting Gus O'Connor's again ...
And that was our night. It was low-key but fun. And that was that.

How Many More Days 'Til Summer Vacation?
For our 11 month anniversary we had dinner at Little Tree (but of course). It was cold and rainy but we made the trek anyways. It was such a nice dinner. We talked about the past 11 months over our favorite sushi rolls -- it was very nice. After dinner, we came right home and got to celebrating ... and that was that.
So let's get the bit 'o Britney out of the way. The official Curious website has been launched and the beauty products are already in stores. Apparently, sales have been brisk. Have you satisfied your Curiosity? I bet the Britney perfume would make a nice gift.
Whoever leaked those unreleased Kylie tracks really did her a favor. Everyone is all a buzz over the new songs. There are debates over whether or not it's Kylie's voice on those songs (some people maintain that one of the tracks is actually Dannii). There are also debates as to whether or not these songs will ever be released properly. I, for one, love them! Limbo! (the best unofficial Kylie website ever) has a lot of information on the new tracks -- Reports of the two 'leaked' songs, entitled My Image Unlimited and I'm Just Here For The Music, began right here on our forum. They are believed to be taken from the Body Language album sessions as registration codes for both are very close to those of released songs. Neither track is believed to be taken from recent sessions with Xenomania (confirmed) or Scissor Sisters (assumed). You can read more about the leaked tracks HERE.
On the political front, it seems that Mr. Bush hasn't been entirely forthcoming about his military service history (who here is surprised?). [CBS's 60 Minutes reported that] Killian [one of Bush's Texas commanders] complained of pressure from higher-ups to give Bush positive evaluations and said Bush talked about how to avoid taking a physical exam in 1972, when Bush eventually skipped six months of training and lost his pilot's wings for missing the exam ... After the broadcast, the White House, without comment, released to the news media two of the memos, one ordering Bush to report for his physical exam and the other suspending him from flight status. Where is the outrage?! Why are we not screaming for more of the truth?! I just don't understand how people can be so blind to this man's immense faults. He is not a fit leader! In light of these revelations, a new group called Texans For Truth has emerged to help in the fight to oust GWB from the White House.
Additionally, we've got the Vice President of our country actually telling Americans that the U.S. will be attacked by terrorists if John Kerry is elected president. Speaking to supporters in Des Moines, Cheney called it "absolutely essential" that on Election Day voters "make the right choice. Because if we make the wrong choice, then the danger is that we'll get hit again, and we'll be hit in a way that will be devastating." That is the biggest pile of horse shizz I've ever heard! I cannot believe that our nation's leaders are actually using TERRORISM in order to scare voters into supporting them. And there are STILL people who adamantly support them! If this administration is re-elected we are DOOMED! DOOMED, I SAY!
I need to talk about something else. Let's talk about concerts. There are a TON of shows coming up that Erik and I are interested in seeing. I mentioned yesterday that Melissa Auf Der Maur is coming back to Detroit but I failed to mention that she will be touring with the Von Bondies! This show is not to be missed! Here's a run down of the shows that we are hoping to see

09.27 Sarah Harmer @ The Ark
10.02 Rilo Kiley @ The Magic Stick
10.08 Melissa Auf Der Maur & The Von Bondies @ St. Andrew's Hall
10.12 The Killers @ St. Andrew's Hall

That's it for now, this post is already too long ... I'll be back later ...
