Peace The Spork Out Anna Nicole

Wow! As unsurprising as one would think this would be, news of Anna Nicole Smith's death is still very shocking! After collapsing at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida and then being transported in a non-responsive state to a local hospital word broke that Anna Nicole Smith has died:

Anna Nicole Smith has died, this according to her attorney Ron Rail. Smith collapsed at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida and died at a local hospital hours later. According to hotel officials, Smith was "unresponsive" and emergency responders performed CPR at the scene and a breathing apparatus was inserted in her throat. Anna was immediately transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood just after 2:00 PM EST. WFOR-TV in Miami reports that Anna was found unresponsive in her hotel room. Local streets were closed off to rush Smith to the hospital, three miles away. Paramedics were seen pumping her chest as she was taken from the hotel.

At a press conference held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, FL Seminole County Police Chief Charlie Tiger reported that Anna Nicole Smith, a frequent visitor to the Hard Rock Hotel (she arrived on Monday), was pronounced dead at 2:49 PM ET.

At 1:38 PM ET Anna Nicole's personal nurse made the emergency call to the hospital (he did not know why she had a nurse with her). At 1:45 PM ET her bodyguard administered CPR on her and at 2:49 she was pronounced dead at the hospital. The crime lab is now on the scene at her 6th floor hotel room. It was also reported that her daughter Dannielynn Hope Marshall was not with her ... she is in the Bahamas.

I'm sure we'll know very soon what was the cause of death but it saddens me to think that my suspicions will be proven correct. Her life has been wrought with tragedy ... and this final chapter brings that tragic life to a tragic end. You know that her laywer/partner Howard K. Stern is not taking this very sad news well ... unless he is the one who worked on her last will and testament. Larry Birkhead (the man who is claiming paternity to her newborn daughter), on the other hand, is "not OK" after hearing this news. Anna Nicole's former publicist is "not surprised".

Hallelujah! Someone finally got around to hitting Britney Spears with a pretty stick and I want to salute that person! Perhaps it's just a fluke but ... Britney was lookin' super cute in NYC yesterday:

Red is definitely much more her color than pink is. See ... it's not that hard to look decent. Why can't lookin' cute be the norm for her ... she used to look hot all the time. It's interesting that she is still wearing that Star of David pendant because ... [Source]

... People magazine is reporting that the whirlwind romance betwixt Britney Spears and Isaac Cohen has come to a close. I tend to not believe it until I read it in People so ... BrIsaac is dunzo, y'all!

Britney Spears's short romance with model Isaac Cohen is over, PEOPLE has confirmed. Cohen decided to end the relationship, according to his agent, Brandi Lord of L.A. Models, who calls the split "very amicable." "They're both busy with their careers," says Lord. "She just got out of her marriage and she has two kids to take care of. Her plate is full, and the same with him." Still, Lord says there are no hard feelings and predicts the pair might remain friends. "They were never getting married," she says. "They were having fun together." A rep for Spears had no comment. And as quickly as it began ... it's over. It's surprising that Isaac was the one to call it off ... supposedly via phone call. I guess this means that the door is open, again, for Perry Taylor (manny extraordinaire) to come back into the picture. DO YOU HEAR THAT PERRY?! GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE! In the meantime ... we bid a fond Peace the Spork Out to our dear BrIssac. Boo. I should move on before I get all verklempt. [Source]

ATTENTION: LOST SPOILER ALERT WARNING

While last night's episode of Lost didn't necessarily had me peeing in my pants with excitement and anticipation, the show definitely gets an A for Effort. I found last night's episode very entertaining and prolly the best over all ep of this third season. I believe that this is the first ep that featured an Other character's flashback ... and what an interesting flashback it was:

Screencaptures courtesy of Lost Media

Okay ... so now we know how Juliet used to be before she ended up on the island. Apparently she was just like the other Survivors (ie. the good guys) ... she was mousey and not very confident before she grew steel balls after being brought to the island 3 years, 2 months and 28 days ago. It's interesting that she's a fertility expert ... one who managed to impregnate a male mouse. One has to wonder if her talent increased once she arrived on the island. It seemed clear to me that we were supposed to connect the vials of fluid she was injecting into her sister (the fertility juice) with the vials of fluid that Desmond and others were injecting themselves with on the island. Sure the two may not be related but I think we're meant to make the connection just the same. We "know" that Alex is Rosseau's daughter (remmeber the crazy French lady) ... but now we know that she is also Ben's daughter. It occured to me that Juliet could've possibly impregnated Ben ... tho the timing is way off. Alex would be much younger if that were the case. Still ... it's no accident that we learned that Juliet successfully impregnated a male mouse. This revelation about Ben being Alex's father struck me as really very soap opera-y. There is something about the name Mittelos Bioscience ... I can't figure it out. If you rearrange the letters you can spell out Scientist or Colonist or Imbicile. [Pink reader L enlightens that Mittelos rearranges to Lost Time] There is something there, I think ... I just can't see it. Also, I'm sure there is something to be deciphered from the text that was flashing on the screen in front of poor Carl (Plant a good seed and you will joyfully gather fruit, Everything changes, We are the causes of our own suffering, God loves you as He loved Jacob, Think about your life) -- after all, everything means something on this show. The book A Brief History of Time showed up but since I've never read it -- I can't make a guess as to the significance (tho it should be noted that it looked like the dude reading the book was writing in the book -- it didn't look like book text to me). Can I just tell you that I hated the bus scene ... it was very disturbing for me, tho I suppose it was to be expected. I was also irritated that Tom was cut off from explaining why they can't get off the island -- referring to the day the sky turned purple. They've done this before ... alluded to that event without giving the full explanation.

Obvs we're supposed to feel sympathy for Juliet ... because of this flashback, we're supposed to view her as one of the survivors. Is that why her's is the only Other flashback we've seen? Will there be more Others with similar stories? I still don't trust her. I do not believe her when she told Jack that Ben promised to let her go if she helped Kate and Sawyer get back to their island ... I think she lied to him. I bet we'll get to hear what he really said to her in a future episode. I'll keep watching ... I'm intrigued again. This ep felt like an ep from a previous season ... all the right elements where involved. They would be wise to keep this up. [Source]

Okay ... moving on ... 3/5ths (or 1 and 2/5ths) of the Spice Girls reunited in London last night in order to toast the pregnancy of Emma Bunton (ex-Baby Spice) ... and for some reason the Melanies (B and C) were not invited to the soiree ... hmmm. Here are pictures of Victoria Beckham (ex-Posh Spice), Geri Halliwell (ex-Ginger Spice) and Emma (aforementioned ex-Spice) as they made their way to and then dined at Nobu in London:

Could the Spice Girls be on the brink of reforming? Just a few hours after Emma Bunton told a television audience she would love the girl group to get back together, she was spotted out dining with Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell. Their late night supper at fashionable London restaurant Nobu, will further fuel speculation that one of the most lucrative pop acts of all time is ready to sing together again. Posh, Ginger and Baby Spices spent some time in Nobu chewing the fat - actually more likely munching on lettuce - leaving at just after midnight. Earlier in the day Ms Bunton said in an interview on Channel 4's Richard and Judy that she would be delighted if the group got back together. Um, I thought we were told, for the umpteenth millionth time, that the Spice Girls would not be reuniting. The fact that Mel B. and Mel C. (ex-Scary Spice and Sporty Spice respectively) were not in attendance is telling. [Source]

Besides ... it's really only about Victoria Beckham these days. Isn't it interesting that the weakest singer amongst the Spice Girls ended up becoming the most famous one?

Her breastplate was lookin' very sexy protruding from the plunging neckline of that pleather dress. I am *not* a fan of animal print and I think that leopard print is the most heinous ... but it somehow works on Posh. [Source]

Normally I also wouldn't be a fan of pink stockings (some things just shouldn't be pink) but Kylie Minogue makes them look pretty cute:

Perhaps I am blinded by lurve but ... this is a cute look for her. [Source]

Today's gross out comes from Terri Hatcher and George Bush, Sr. as they were snapped swapping spit together in public:

Okay, I'm sure they weren't open mouth kissing (at least I hope to God that they weren't) ... but the mere apparent sight of these two people locking lips is a bit reviling. I have this horrid phantom smell of Ben Gay ointment and Coty perfume intermingling that is kinda making me gag. [Source]

Fergie Ferg was a guest on MTV's TRL yesterday for Spankin' New Music Week to debut her new video for the song Glamorous which features Ludacris (try and say that 5 times fast). And ya know what ... I didn't think that she looked that bad:

I still think the eyebrow piercing is soooooo 1995 but other than that ... eh, she looked OK. In case you missed the video debut yesterday or you just want to watch it again ... you can do so HERE. [Source]

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were guests at the Jenni Kayne Fashion Week fashion show in NYC this week and they ... well ... scared me:

Oh Ashley ... you really are trying to push the bounds of fashion taste with your oh-so unique brand of dress. That coat would look so much better on the floor as a rug. Mary-Kate looked very nice in comparison. [Source]

Justin Timberlake thrilled his NYC fans by inviting SNL cast member Andy Samberg on stage for a very special encore performance of their hit song Dick in a Box at his Madison Square Garden show last night:

The crowd went wild at Justin Timberlake's New York City concert on Wednesday – especially when the singer reunited with Andy Samberg for their infamous Saturday Night Live song. Though Timberlake kicked off a raucous set at 9 p.m. that had audience members including Donald and Melania Trump on their feet, the real fun started at 11:20, when an announcer appeared to introduce "a new band" that had "the most watched video on YouTube." He ended with, "Can [this concert] get any better than this? Hell yes it can!" Then Samberg and Timberlake took the stage – in their Color Me Badd-style costumes and facial hair from the SNL sketch and, of course, presents attached below the belt. To wild cheering they sang "D--- in a Box," changing the holiday lyrics from "Christmas ... Hannukkah ... Kwanzaa" to "Valentine's Day ... Flag Day ... Kwanzaa." After the song, Timberlake came back onstage in a casual t-shirt, holding a mug of tea. "I'm sorry if I offended some of you, but I could not resist," he said – adding with a grin, "Watch out for the new album, late 2007!" Cute -- tho the Thigh Master wasn't impressed. Er ... I thought that Miss USA Tara Conner was off the sauce ...

Kingston James (with his mommy Gwen Stefani) made his television debut on the Ellen DeGeneres Show this week ... here is a pic from his appearance on the show:

Hee hee ... that kid is soooo cute. He deff deserves to be on TV. [Source]

And speaking of Ellen DeGeneres ... she is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of W magazine:

I'm sorry, but Ellen just can't do high fashion photo shoots. [Source]

And finally ... Ryan Reynolds is, once again, on the cover of the new issue of Men's Health magazine:

He is definitely among the most fit men in Hollywood so he rightfully deserves to be on the cover of this magazine again. I just hope that the next time he appears in the magazine he does so with about 80% less clothing. [Source, thanks Kenneth -- I love your forehead]

Les News:
Wee! Diana arrives from Washington DC this evening and I can't wait to see her. We haven't seen each other since her surprise appearance at my Going Away Party last August in Detroit. We have a lot of catching up to do so I know we'll be having a great weekend.

Not much else to report ... I'm off to do a few last things before she arrives. Woot!

I'm out.
