"... Baby, Just Ask Me"
I have also moved into phase two of my idolatry -- mobile phone customization. I made a few Ashlee wallpapers for my phone (formatted for the Motorola V600 screen size) that anyone can save and use for their own phones (Shane?)
Incidentally, Ashlee won a couple of Teen Choice Awards (Pieces Of Me won the Choice Song of the Summer award). Britney failed to attend the awards show (as she promised to do) but also won an award for Toxic. I'd have picked Ashlee over Britney too.
But hey, like I said, in Britney's absence I need to move on. And speaking of moving on, Miss Brit has been doing some moving on of her own. Here is one of the first pictures of Britney with her soon-to-be step daughter Kori
Stunning Brit plays mum
The pop princess met the two-year-old, shown with her pet pup Laci, last month and the trio look like they're getting along famously.
I bet that little girl was *thrilled* to meet Britney Spears. Hi, Britney is going to be this little girl's step-mother! How insane is that?! I guess it kind of makes sense. This way, Britney can be a "mom" without having to go through the pregnancy and the stretch-marks. She can continue to smoke cigarettes like a fiend unimpeded. When she's done playing house (or whatever) she can just send the little children home with their mother who has to do all the real dirty work. It's genius actually. Britney gets the best of both worlds. Ashlee would never do such a thing though. Ack! I have chosen a new pop princess to adore! Have my loyalties turned already? Whatever, we'll see who my heart truly belongs to with Britney's next album.
So what else is going on?
- By now you must have heard about the latest stupid thing GWB did by opening his mouth. Well now you can see and hear it for yourself (click HERE), thanks to the wonderful TheSmokingGun.com.
- Sadly, President Bill Clinton has declined the offer to host Saturday Night Live next season, but he will be making an appearance tonight on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. So not-to-be-missed TV.
- Man, you can tell the Republicans are desperate if they are supporting Alan Keyes to win an election. Keyes, who would have to move to Illinois before election day on Nov. 2, previously criticized Hillary Clinton when she moved to New York to run for the U.S. Senate ... The eloquent Keyes has never won an election. He was defeated in campaigns for the U.S. Senate in Maryland in 1988 and 1992. He ran unsuccessfully for the Republican nomination for president in 1996 and 2000. Doesn't he sound like a winner? I'm sure the fact that he's African-American has nothing to do with his being chosen.
- Today Whitney Houston turns 41 (other birthdays today include Eric Bana, Gillian Anderson and Aimee Mann)! And who do we give the glory, the praise and endless worship to for giving this cracked out diva another year of life?
