Back In Baby's Arms

LORDY ... there is sooooo much to talk about today ... I had a devil of a time weeding thru everything over the past couple of days to try and pick out what to talk about. Woot! It's so much better having too much to talk about rather than too little ... so let's get to it ...

Can I get some lurve for Miss Britney Spears? Sure the poor dear can't seem to go 15 seconds without being photographed at a different locale here in Southern California but, hot damn, she's looking good doing so. Here are pictures of Britney making her way into her home away from home, Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood, CA lookin' really cute in her little dance outfit:

I love the legwarmers! While it's no secret that I think that maybe she should take some time to chill out and stay home for a bit I am relieved that even tho she continues to go out every single day, she is doing so in style. Er ... well mostly there are pictures out there of Britney rockin' her fave pair of cowboy boots (you know, the fugly ones?) on her way into some shop or spa ... but I choose to focus on the positive. She appears to be working hard ... and I am always willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. I've always believed that she is capable of turning things around and clawing her way back to the top ... well, at least getting back on track in a sound manner. She's got it in her ... I believe she can do it. Woot! [Source]

Okay ... now that my daily Britney Cheerleading routine is finished we can carry on.

ATTENTION: LOST SPOILER ALERT WARNING

Last night's ep of Lost put me in a good mood ... you wanna know why? Because I've pretty much forgotten how shitty the first part of this season has been. Ever since Lost returned from its Fall Finale they've really stepped up and provided us with the classic Lost that we've all been craving. The thing I liked so much about last night's ep was that it was just like old skool Lost. I think the producers have learned the lesson ... in a recent issue of Entertainment Weekly there was a quote from a producer who said something to the effect that the show is being judged on an episode by episode basis -- and he's damn right. Thankfully, things appear to be back on track:

Screencaptures courtesy of Lost Media

I love the eps that revolve around Desmond ... his back story is so interesting ... add to that his premonition powers and he makes a really great character. The opening sequence was amazing ... just like Lost should be. It was kinda cool watching Charlie get shot in the neck with that arrow. Desmond's whole premonition was very cool ... eerie, foreboding and intriguing. His back story was a big surprise ... an ex Monk? Well, at least now we know why he calls everyone Brother. We also know why he was the one who was chosen to push the button every 108 minutes -- only a person with the patience of a monk could do that job for so long. I wonder if the fact that his first fiancee's name was Ruth ... it's Biblical. Another Biblical connection could revolve around Desmond's desire to keep saving Charlie from dying ... like the parable of Abraham (who was asked by God to sacrifice his son). Fascinating! Also, did you catch that the monastery only makes 108 cases of wine each year? Did you also notice the picture on the desk of the head monk? Unfortunately, I couldn't find a screenshot Pink reader Bronte sent in the screencap. The old woman who appeared in the last Desmond specific episode was pictured with him ... remember her? She was the one who talked Desmond out of proposing to Penny and who is prolly an Other. What is her connection ... well, I guess it's dumb to ask -- everyone is all interconnected. The whole Kate jealous of Juliette thing is dumb ... I'm over it. I am interested to find out who the new chick is ... is she friend, foe or Sanjaya? It's hard to tell ... but I can't wait to find out!!! [Source]

OK magazine scored the first pictures of Larry Birkhead with his daughter Dannielynn Hope Marshall Birkhead (at a pretty penny, I'm sure) which they are publishing in this week's issue (on newsstands now). Here is a preview of some of the pics from the magazine:

After looking at these pictures, there is no denying that that little girl is his daughter. They look so cute together ... I can only imagine what lies ahead for this new family. The world will be watching intently as this little girl grows up ... and Larry will be watched right along with her. He has pretty much inherited all of Anna Nicole Smith's most prized possessions ... chief among them, her fame ... [Source]

... and along with his newfound fame comes a wee bit of scandal, which is only the tip of the ice berg, I'm sure. The National Enquirer has found a man who claims that he has had intimate sexual relations with Larry Birkhead back in the day and is ready to tell the world his story:

"I was Larry Birkhead's secret gay lover!" That's the sensational revelation of Kerrick Ross — a handsome male model who carried on a torrid two-month sexual affair with the man who won the blockbuster paternity battle for Anna Nicole Smith's baby girl. In a bombshell world exclusive, The new issue of the NATIONAL ENQUIRER publishes the stunning truth about the secret gay life of the world's most famous out-of-wedlock father. "America doesn't know the whole story about Larry Birkhead," Kerrick, who's 38 and lives in Louisville, Ky., told The ENQUIRER. "He apparently had sex with Anna Nicole and fathered her baby, but there is no question: He also had sex with me!" The two met at a cocktail party in Louisville around mid-2000 when Birkhead was a struggling real estate agent and writer, angling for a show business career in Hollywood. "We were together for about two months and had sex eight to 10 times, always at my apartment. He often spent the whole night with me." But Birkhead insisted on keeping their romance a secret. "I had been 'out' for a long time, but Larry was not out of the closet — and he was terrified about his family, who were devout Southern Baptists, finding out he was having a gay relationship," revealed Kerrick. "He was especially afraid of his father finding out. He said, 'If my Dad knew about this, he would kill me!' Birkhead's lawyers deny that he had a gay relationship with Kerrick, but Kerrick passed a rigorous polygraph test administered by a top-notch examiner. And Kerrick says Larry didn't consider himself gay. "He was more comfortable saying he was bi-sexual," Kerrick told The ENQUIRER. "I never knew him to go out with women when we were together, but I found out after we broke up that he had been seeing women. "While Kerrick says Birkhead was inexperienced at gay sex, he found out later that he'd stolen Larry from another man! Wow. You gotta admit .. the timing of this revelation is very suspect ... but in the end, who cares if it's true or not. I'm of the mind that sexuality is not a black and white issue ... there is a whole lotta grey in-between. Maybe Larry has a grey in-between part of him and maybe not. The point is that I'm pretty sure scandals like this will become a huge part of Larry's life from now on. I wonder if he's really ready for it all. [Source]

Here are more pictures of Madonna, Lourdes and David Banda as they spend some time together in Malawi:

Madge and the kids have been spending time this week touring David's old village and a couple of rehab facilities in the area ... posing for photo ops along the way. I'm very impressed that Madonna is able to marry her Ed Hardy clothing with the African sash she's wearing around her waist so successfully. It's a tough look to pull together and yet ... she's done a fabulous job. [Source, Source]

David Beckham took his lady love out for a birthday celebration unlike any other ... well, not since her last birthday. Here are pictures of Posh and Becks as they spent her birthday day shopping and then spent her birthday night out on the town:

Le sigh. With a man like Becks, Posh has already received the best birthday present ever. She gets to see the man nekkid every single night! [Source]

And speaking of the nekkid Becks, I would be remiss if I didn't post this picture that has been making its way around the InterWeb and back. While I question the authenticity of this photo, I'll leave it to the individual viewer to determine whether or not what you're looking at is the real deal:

Click HERE to see the NSFW uncensored version of this picture of the supposedly fully nekkid David Beckham. I don't know that I believe that Becks would ever pose for a photo like this ... that said, this pic looks like a pretty good fake. I'm afraid I will have to get a good look at the real thing to make a final determination ... so if anyone from David Beckham's camp wants to get in touch with me so that we can set that up, I'd be much obliged. Thanks. [Source -- link NSFW]

What have we here??? Didn't Paris Hilton just get in trubs recently for being caught driving on a suspended license? Could these new pictures of Paris, taken just yesterday, show that she is breaking the law yet again?

There are reports this AM -- supported by photos and video -- that Paris Hilton is again driving on a suspended license. And get this -- the pictures show Hilton driving away from a meeting with her lawyer about an upcoming court appearance for driving on a suspended license! TMZ did some digging and found that at least this time, Paris didn't break the law. Her lawyer, Howard Weitzman, confirmed to TMZ that Hilton's suspension in connection with her drunk driving arrest last September has been lifted, and she has her license back. Hmm ... well, it's good to know that Paris is finally respecting the nature of the law. Tho, she's due back in court in a couple of weeks to deal with charges stemming from the last time she broke the law. [Source, Source]

Awww ... I love it ... Adam Brody isn't just a hottie ... he's an intellectual as well. Here is a cute pic of Adam carrying a book by Pulitzer Prize winning author Cormac McCarthy titled No Country for Old Men:

McCarthy's latest book The Road is simply amazing (I can't say enough good things about it -- I just picked up a paperback version of the book so that I can read it all over again) so it's clear that Adam has great taste in books. I've yet to read this particular book but if you're interested in getting a copy for yourself you can do so HERE. Is there anything sexier than a man who reads? Love it! [Source]

Avril Lavigne celebrated the release of her new album The Best Damn Thing by dressing up like a transvestite at a NYC party thrown in her honor:

Well, at least she decided to look like the best damn tranny around, Miss Amanda Lapore. [Source]

LOL! Apparently, Reese Witherspoon uses a fake name when she orders coffee drinks at Starbucks ... behold:

So lemme get this straight ... Reese walks into a Starbucks and orders a drink from the barista who knows that she's Reese Witherspoon and when asked what her name is she tells them it's Trista ... and she really thinks that they don't know that that isn't her name? LOL. I wonder why she has dubbed herself Trista ... there is something a little sweet (like a fairytale princess) and naughty (like a porn star) about the name. Hmm ... [Source]

Whoa Lord ... what is going on here? Why do you suppose Kirstie Alley couldn't just walk around the fence instead of trying to hop over the fence?

Don't you think the exercise would've have been worth the extra effort? [Source]

Pete Doherty has started playing a new game with the paparazzi ...

... where the rules are that Pete gets to throw whatever it is that he's got handy at and onto the paps ...

... and they get to take pictures. Looks like fun! Whatever will the genius come up with next? [Source]

Tori Amos performed a special in-studio concert at the RTL2 studios in Paris this past Tuesday (and will be broadcast on RTL2 Thursday, May 3rd between 10 and 11pm local time) and here are a couple pictures from that performance:

She looks lovely! All this new Toriness is sooo exciting. [Source]

Additionally, her new video for the first single Big Wheel has been released and is very ... interesting:

It took me a couple of views to realy fall in love with it ... but it's a geat song and a great video. Honestly ... once I watched it a few times I just had to watch it again ... and again. Apparently, the folks at Entertainment Weekly have the same problem. I know there are people out there already criticizing the vid ... but I love it!

Which brings us to the introduction of a new member of Tori's American Doll Posse. This week we get to meet Isabel:

Isabel, a photographer, is a reflection of Artemis and is the most outwardly political of the bunch. She opens the album with "Yo George," a shout-out to our Commander-in-Chief, questioning what horribly dark road we've been led down and closes the CD with the anti-war anthem, "Dark Side of the Sun." Isabel's blog has been revealed HERE and the song Yo George, which is sung by the Isabel character, can be streamed online HERE. [Source]

And finally, Bjork graces the cover of the new issue of French Rolling Stone magazine:

I don't know about you but I am LOVING his new hypercolor make-over that Bjork is rockin' these days. Woot! [Source]

Les News:
I spent yesterday doing laundry and unpacking, as is my usual routine after I get back from a trip away from home. Last night I got to have a great dinner with my friend Mike and his friends at our friendly neighborhood Cheesecake Factory:

Yes, you may recognize that Mike's friends are Susie, Tori and Kina from this season of Road Rules. I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to get to meet these lovely ladies (along with Mike's other friends, including LaRissa who is just the cutest thing ever!). I was very shocked that they were familiar with my blog and were very complimentary to me. Now ya'll know that I've been a big fan of all those MTV shows (I *live* for the RW/RR Challenges) so getting to hang with a few of my faves was a very special treat. I only hope we'll all get to hang out again soon. We had a blast!

I still have a lot of housecleaning to get to today ... so I'm off. Have a great Thursday ... I'm out.
