Time To Take Back Those Royal Wedding Gifts
Welp ... it looks like the much anticipated Royal Wedding that was supposed to happen sometime this summer ain't gonna happen. In somewhat very surprising news, Prince William and his long-time seemingly perfect-match girlfriend Kate Middleton have suddenly called it quits and are completely dunzo:
PRINCE William's romance with Kate Middleton was doomed when he decided to put Army life first, pals claimed last night. Last month the pair seemed happier than ever as they skied down a Swiss mountain together, stopping only to kiss and hold each other close. From the outside all the signs seemed to suggest the young lovers were just weeks away from announcing their intention to wed. But in reality, it is understood they had been on a downward spiral since Kate saw the 24-year-old future king passing out from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in December last year. Friends say William, now a fully-fledged officer in the Blues and Royals, has engrossed himself in Army life — preferring to go out drinking with his colleagues than drive back to London to see Kate. When he began his 2 1/2-month tank commander course at the Army's school of armoury in Bovington, Dorset, on March 16, the relationship was in freefall. The course means the Prince is stuck on an isolated base from Monday to Friday each week. The fact that his time has been taken up has put further strain on 25-year-old Kate. One close friend of the couple said: "As far as Kate is concerned, William simply hasn't been paying her enough attention. She is stuck in London while he is living in an officers mess in Dorset. Kate feels hugely frustrated that their relationship just seems to be going backwards at a rate of knots. At university they were living together. Now, nearly three years on, they are lucky if they see each other once a week. When he does get a night off, it appears to Kate that William would rather spend time drinking with his new-found Army pals" ... Any cracks in their relationship were hidden from all but the couple's closest circle. But the friend said William and Kate had found it impossible to cope with the extraordinary pressures placed on their relationship. And at 24, the Prince is said to feel he is too young to marry ... Last month William ended up on the front pages when The Sun revealed he grabbed a girl's boob during a night out with Army pals in Bournemouth. Saucy Wills slipped his hand around Brazilian student Ana Ferreira, 18, as she partied with a pal in the Elements Club. And on the same night the Prince was snapped with leggy blonde Lisa Agar, 19. He invited her back to his barracks for a nightcap and she left at 4.15am when he said he had to go to bed. Dang ... this shocking news is really sad. I really thought that Prince Wills and Kate would be together forever ... I was certain the pair would be married later on this year. If anything, I always figured that Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy would be the ones to split up. Something tells me that the break-up has more to do with Prince William's flirtations with the ladies rather than his being away from London all the time. While I figured the picture of Wills grabbing that girls breast wasn't anything too serious perhaps there was more going on behind the scenes that we've been unaware of. Ah well ... perhaps there will be a reconciliation somewhere down the line ... but for now, I guess we should bid a fond Peace the Spork Out to Wills and Kate as a couple. [Source]
Ruh-ro ... trouble in paradise already? Here are pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal out doing a little grocery shopping ... tho, by the look on his face, he doesn't seem to be enjoying himself too much ...
... you know, when you start allegedly dating a woman with young children (like Reese Witherspoon, for example) you really have to expect a few significant changes in your life. I'm not quite sure that Jakey poo is up to the task of dealing with a ready-made family. I think he should just stay single ... and then take his shirt off and go jogging :) [Source]
Carson Daly was in a very celebratory mood this week as he celebrated the 5 year anniversary of his late late night talk show Last Call with Carson Daly. Here are a few pics from his anniversary shindig:
Wooo Carson ... calm down with those piercing blue eyes .. those babies look like they're about to pop out of his skull. Nonetheless, Carson looks very happy to be celebrating this awesome milestone and I couldn't be happier for his success. I'm a big Carson fan from way back in his TRL days. Pink reader Joe has stumbled upon the My Space profile of the new man in Reichen Lehmkuhl's life (the one he showed off at the Hollywood premiere of the new movie Red Line earlier this week) ... apparently, Mr. Ryan Barry is a personal trainer, a fitness model and a gymnast from Laguna Beach and here are a few photos from his My Space profile:
He's got a hot bod ... Reichen sure knows how to pick 'em. I'm not necessarily holding my breath that these two are going to live a long and happy life together but I'm sure they'll be having quite a bit of fun while they can. Woot! David Beckham is coming! And I can't wait for him to come all over my ... er, come to LA once and for all and start playing for the Los Angeles Galaxy! It seems that the Galaxy is very excited for his arrival as well ... they've splashed Becks' beautiful face all over the tickets for the Galaxy games:
Well, at the very least I'm sure the Galaxy owners and promoters are anxious for Becks' arrival ... but I wonder how the rest of the team feels about his arrival. I'm sure they just *love* the fact that everyone is going apeshizz over Becks, to the point where they're putting him on the game tickets. I guess I sorta feel bad for those LA Galaxy players like ... er ... um ... well, those guys -- whatever their names may be. [Source]
After taking WAY TOO MUCH TIME OFF since her last album, Kelly Clarkson is finally back with some new music. Her new single Never Again has been released to radio and can be streamed online at AOL or at her official My Space profile page. Here is a new promo picture of Kelly lookin' all sexy with her bad self:

Here is our first look at the Iron Man armor that will be featured in the new movie version of Iron Man starring Robert Downey, Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow:
Now, my knowledge of the Iron Man comics is a bit rusty but I believe this is an early version of what the armor will eventually look like. I believe the final product is red and yellow and much sleeker. But still, this early look at the costume armor is pretty cool. I was very fortunate enough to meet a couple of David's fabulous friends ... Zandile and Julee ... who I fell in love with immediately. I'm so mad at David for keeping these ladies all to himself. I hope that we'll be able to hang out more often. I also got to meet a few Pink readers on my way to (Hi, Nicole) and at the event itself. Blaine had a stern talking-to with me about my sick love for Britney and Claire (pictured below, who runs the fab blog The Fashion Bomb) and I got to talk for a bit about all the goss in general.
I met a lot of really cool people last night ... the whole party was very cool.
This afternoon, David and I are off to see Spring Awakening and I don't know that we've made solid plans for our night tonight ... since I'm leaving for LA tomorrow, I'm sure we'll come up with something special to do.
