The Associated Press began preparing Britney Spears’ obituary within the past month, Usmagazine.com has learned. "We are not wishing it, but if Britney passed away, it’s easily one of the biggest stories in a long time," AP entertainment editor Jesse Washington tells Us. "I think one would agree that Britney seems at risk right now," Washington adds. "Of course, we would never wish any type of misfortune on anybody and hope that we would never have to use it until 50 years from now…but if something were to happen, we would have to be prepared." Washington also says the AP has a "pretty extensive obituary operation," and that staffers are "constantly adding people."
Hmm ... I wonder what the criteria is for inclusion on this death list ... I wonder if Amy Winehouse is on that list. Additionaly, at the premiere of her new movie last night, Miley Cyrus offered her $0.02 on the subject of Britney Spears:
Teen queen Miley Cyrus says Britney Spears needs help. "I think it's so crazy and I think that she [Britney] needs help," she told Extra. "If I didn't have [my family], I'd probably be in the same position. You just got to know who your true friends are, and I think for me, is my mom," she added. "If you have sisters, I mean any girls that are in your family, that can understand and relate to you, I think is the best."
So basically, Miley is saying that if it wasn't for her father Billy Ray Cyrus then she would be in the "same position" as Britney Spears? Hmm ... maybe little Miley is the true heir to Britney's throne as pop queen after all. [Source, Source]
Fashion house Chanel threw a little soiree in NYC this week called Nuit de Diamants at The Plaza Grand Ballroom and a fair share of celebs, new and old, came out for the event ... including "just friends" not lovers Blake Lively and Penn Badgley ... here are a few pics from the red carpet:
Interesting ... both Blake and Penn are attending the same events together and yet they deny that they are together. This reeks of the shame bullshizz that Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia were trying to pull back when they were "just friends". I think they should just get over all that "we're not together" crap and just come out with it already. I like them together ... so it's okay. Also, Selma Blair and Josh Lucas were lookin' pretty good on the red carpet. Selma always looks sexy, I think and I'm quite surprised that Josh is still lookin' so hawt. [Source]
Over in the UK, Amy Winehouse continues to be her "normal" crazy self, lashing out at the world ...
... despite the fact that her hubby Blake Civil-Fielder is still cooling his heels in jail on the charge of attempting to pervert justice. In Amy's defense, she did her best to tidy up as much as possible for her hubby's court hearing yesterday ... which doesn't really mean all that much since all of Amy's clothes appear to be stained with this or that substance. At least she opted out of wearing any blood-stained clothing -- that's something, right?
Amy Winehouse appeared wild-eyed and disheveled in court yesterday when she came to support her jailed husband Blake Fielder-Civil. The singer only arrived for the last 10 minutes of the hour-long preliminary hearing when her husband appeared on charges of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice at Snaresbrook Crown Court ... She wore a grubby knee-length cream denim skirt and crumpled Fred Perry polo shirt with disheveled blonde hair. On arrival she winked and blew a kiss at former music video assistant Fielder-Civil who stood in the dock with four other men on associated charges. As her husband was led back into custody she interrupted court proceedings to shout: 'Love you handsome. Gorgeous one.' She then rounded on reporters sitting in court and yelled: 'I wasn't talking to you.' She and her mother-in-law left court arm in arm and kissed goodbye as Winehouse stepped into a silver BMW. Fielder-Civil is charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and with conspiring to pervert the course of justice.
Um, what? The girl is such a mess. We have Britney Spears here in the US and the UK has Amy Winehouse. It's just amazing that this is the state of celebrity these days. I'm at a loss. Remember the days when an unsightly blemish or an errant nip slip was the big celeb news of the day? Now we're left to wonder how long our celebs can skate by doing irrational and sometimes dangerous things without ending up dead. Can all the fame and fortune really be worth it all? [Source]
Here are pictures of Kylie Minogue and her BFF/stylist and main gay Will Baker out for a little shopping jaunt in West Hollyood here in SoCal yesterday afternoon:

And then it was back to work on the set of her new music video for the song Wow:
I understand that the treatment for the music video calls for a lot of fluorescent lighting, which would explain the pink wig. I love me some Britney but I think the pink wig look looks much better on Kylie. At least when Kylie wears it you don't have to worry that she might end up flashing her bare crotch to get a little more attention. [Source]
Lookin' lovely in white, Lindsay Lohan was out and about yesterday doin' some shoppin' and stuff and she was spotted carrying around a package of Ariva

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is swapping the glitz of Hollywood for the dark, cold walls of a morgue. The 21-year-old star has been ordered to serve part of her community service for her drink driving convictions among the deceased. The Just My Luck beauty was sentenced to 10 days of community service by a Los Angeles judge last year after she reached a plea deal over her two drink driving arrests last summer. In November, Lohan served just 84 minutes of her one day jail sentence after she was released early due to overcrowding. Lohan will spend two four-hour days at a morgue as part of a court-ordered programme to show drivers the real-life consequences of drinking and driving. Her lawyer Blair Berk told a LA judge at a court hearing yesterday the young star will begin work at the morgue imminently. The Mean Girls star must also spend two days working in a hospital emergency room.
Morbid but effective ... I hope. Lindsay seems to committed to doing everything she can to pay back her debt to society and I love her for it. Keep it up, Linds ... we're all rooting for you. [Source, thanks Anja]
Team Heidi is looking for a few good members ... and Spencer Pratt is leading the charge ...

... will you answer the call? I must say I think these t-shirts would make a fab addition to the swag bag that might be given out at the Speidi Wedding of the Century -- should it ever comes to pass. I also must admit, I like the black and pink motif ... it's very fetching. No worries, y'all, I haven't started drinking the Kool-Aid ... well, not yet. [Source]
Here are a couple pictures of David Beckham doing a little shopping with two of his sons (I think Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham) at their friendly neighborhood GAP in the UK:

Aww ... bless. The Beckhams ain't too proud to shop at GAP. I think it's cute ... I'd advice they stay away from Old Navy but I'm down with their attempt at keepin' it real. [Source]
In other Beckhamness, here is a new picture of Vicki B. from her new ad campaign for Marc Jacobs:
I dunno ... this pic doesn't have the same OOMPH that the pic of VB inside the Marc Jacobs shopping bag does but I can dig it. It's high fashion, y'all. [Source]
In other fashionista news, Kirsten Dunst is the new face of Miu Miu and here are a few pics from her new ad campaign for the high end clothier:
You may recall that Lindsay Lohan was featured in Miu Miu's campaign last year. I quite like Kiki D's pics ... they're very stylish, very chic and I love the color pallet. I think the sunglasses are utterly faboo. See, you don't have to shove a celebrity into a shopping bag in order to sell clothes. [Source]
Here are a few more pics of Penelope Cruz in her new ad campaign for Mango:
Not quite as fashion forward as Kiki's pics but they're still very lovely. Penelope can honestly make a trash bag look sexy so there's not really any contest. [Source]
Here is our first look at the new poster artwork for the Sex and the City movie:
It's purdy. I am really intrigued by how the movie might turn out. While I think many folks might be satisfied with a new 2 hour SATC episode I'm hoping for more. You just know that May 30 is gonna be upon us in no time ... I can't wait. [Source]
Newly resurfaced internal Scientology videos featuring Tom Cruise acting, well, like Tom Cruise, have been making waves this week right in time with the release of the controversial new Andrew Morton biography on Tom Cruise Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography which hit bookstands this week. Gawker has been taking some flak from the Church of Scientology's lawyers (claiming copyright infringement) but they remain steadfast in keeping the videos online for all the world to see:
These videos have been popping up on You Tube for some time now over the past few years (I've actually seen them before) but Scientology watchdogs have managed to have the vids pulled down almost as soon as they go up. The vids portray Tom Cruise in a somewhat manic manner (depending on your perspective) and are chillingly entertaining to watch (I'm particularly creeped out by the image of Tom addressing a portrait of L. Ron Hubbard as if he were still alive). Click HERE to watch the first 10-minute vid clip that started all the hoopla earlier this week ... and click HERE to watch a couple more clips from the same hour-long Freedom Medal Award Ceremony video. I'm pretty sure Gawker is gonna keep putting clips up on their site until the whole thing has been released. Eh, we have to be able to watch something as the Writer's Strike soldiers on. And finally ... MTV wants YOU (if you are between the ages of 18 and 24 ... being pretty helps, too) to come out to Les Deux on Saturday January 26 to audition for the 21st season of The Real World:
If YOU are not able to make the LA casting day then YOU can click HERE to find out where the closest casting location is in YOUR area. And if YOU make it on the new season of The Real World YOU can thank ME later :) Good luck!! [Source]

Let me tell you ... the view was utterly amazing. JoJo is house-sitting for a few days so he was happy to share the wealth. I was really very surprised at how good a cook Jordan is too ... there is something really special about a man who can cook ... can you believe the poor lad is single? It's a travesty I tells ya!
Tonight, 10 of us are going out to see Cloverfield in the theater and then we're meeting up with Jordan afterwards to have a little get-together. It shall be fun ... I'll make sure of it.
