Troubled party girl Lindsay Lohan is attempting to revive her floundering career with a guest appearance on US television comedy Ugly Betty. The 21-year-old actress plays a schoolmate of America Ferrera's character Betty Suarez in a flashback scene for the show's season finale. Lohan began shooting her scenes over the weekend and is also expected to appear in five episodes of the popular series next season. "Lindsay was on time and actually arrived to set early," a source told People magazine. "She did a good job." The star, who completed a stint in rehab in September, has previously said she is serious about getting her career back on track after box office disappointments I Know Who Killed Me and Georgia Rule. In February she said: "Right now I just want to find a great script, a great role. I was so used to working and working and working, and for a good few months there was nothing for me to do. Now I know what it's like to be an out-of-work actor, and how much it scares me." As well as her television role, Lindsay is also recording a new album and will costar in an upcoming Jack Black movie, Ye Olde Times. She is also lined up to play one of Charles Manson's cult followers, Nancy Pitman, in the movie Manson Girls.
OMG! I love it! Lindsay isn't even playing herself ... the promise of future guest appearances on the show is sure to give her acting career a shot in the arm. Is it wrong that I really want her new movie Manson Girls to be kinda like Mean Girls but with, you know, all that killing? Yeah, so wrong, I guess. Do you realize that with Britney all sane again, Lindsay all sober and working again and Paris all dating one guy at a time again that the Hollywood "It" Girls appear to be growing up and maturing? Yeah, that's an eerie thought. No worries, tho, the new batch of Hollywood "It" Girls to start running around wild (Miley, Vanessa, Zahara) should be bringing the crazy drama soon enough. [Source]
