Août & About
It's the first Monday in August and I am totally beat. This weekend was pretty busy for everybody. And, as I said before, a few of us were nursing injuries. Michael T. pulled something in his groin region and spent the weekend in pain. Kirsten got hurt while mountain biking. And I discovered that I managed to end the season with my first kickball injury.
It doesn't look like much, but I bruised my ankle with the sheer force of my kicking ability. And it really hurts! But, Yay! I have a kickball injury! Most of the weekend was spent away from Erik who was really tied up with bachelor/bachelorette parties. I got to spend a lot of time with the younger Flager who was staying with us for the weekend. He's a kick-ass guy and I'm glad to have him as a friend. Even so, I did miss spending time with Erik.
Anyways, I saw a lot of movies this weekend so I think I'll be all set with movies for a while. I was happy to hear that The Village made over $50 million dollars this weekend. Man, it's a good movie. If you've not seen it STAY AWAY from spoilers. Don't go in expecting anything (i.e. a super scary horror flick). Just go see the movie, let go and you will love it. You will leave the theater thinking "OMG" while shaking your head. It's a great movie.
This week is going to be a crazy one. I still have to get my outfit for the wedding (next weekend) -- I'm still hoping to put together this look:
If I can get the suit I'll be looking fly as hell! There are tons of things to take care of beforehand as well. I have to get our wedding card and I have to get one of our gifts wrapped. Erik is going up to Mt. Pleasant on Thursday and then I'm going up on Friday. It's gonna be a crazy time.
I'm happy to report that Kevin has left Britney:
But I think it's only going to be for the duration of a trip. I also have 2 more pictures of Shar Jackson with her (and Kevin's) new son Kaleb Michael Jackson
Man, she would be nothing without this kid. Her 15 minutes will last as long as Britney and Kevin are together, thanks to this little baby. Sad!

- NBC is looking to have President Bill Clinton host an episode of Saturday Night Live. The offer has been extended and an answer is due this week. I can't even imagine how funny that would be.
- Avril Lavigne has had The Matrix, Chantal Kreviazuk and Ben Moody (formerly of Evanescence) write songs for her. Now, she's the one writing the songs -- for Kelly Clarkston. The song is featured on the soundtrack for The Princess Diaries 2. Make of this what you will.
- Rumor has it that Madonna is going to make a "special appearance" at the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. I doubt it will be in any official capacity though. She was spotted in Greece and will probably show up at the games as a spectator ... or as a javelin competitor!
I am heading out. I haven't visited my folks in 2 weeks and I'm sure they're flipping out. There is so much to do before the wedding. One thing at a time though, one thing at a time.
