Britney and new hubby not faking it Newlywed couple still haven't filed marriage license, however
... Turns out that Spears and Federline are not legally married because even though they have a marriage license, they haven’t yet filed it. They say they plan to file the license next week. As Federline explains it, after the couple hammered out their prenuptial agreement, the lawyers advised them to wait a week before filing the marriage license. But then they moved up the wedding date because they were tired of being stalked by photographers. “Basically, those reports that we didn’t legally wed are [bull],” Federline told People. “But it doesn’t bother me, those reports.”
“I know we’re not completely legal until we file the license, which we’ll do next week,” Spears told People. “But in a real sense, a spiritual sense, we’re married. We’re just following our lawyer’s advice.”
Regarding the reports that it was a fake marriage, she said, “I’m really upset that somebody some place decides to write a false headline about a special day that I’ve dreamed about since I was a little girl. It’s too bad. I don’t understand the thinking behind it."
Wow! Leave it to Uncle Grambo to dig up the dirt. Things are coming to light and are starting to make more sense. CBS news, in THIS ARTICLE, has more details surrounding this whole "did Britney fake her wedding" thing:
(CBS) Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are still not legally married despite a weekend ceremony that was such a surprise not even the parents and bridesmaids knew they were going to a wedding ... Jess Cagle, People magazine senior editor and contributor to The Early Show, "A lot was complicated because they moved up the date and next week, they’re going to file all of the paper work," he said ... So they’re not legally married now? "Not yet, although they have sort of followed everything by the book and that is the next bump in the story that you’re going to see: The wedding was a fake. It’s really not."
Sounds to me like it's a matter of paperwork ... CBS also has the first of the wedding pictures that will be featured in this week's People magazine:
The CBS news article also clears up a lot of misinformation about the wedding itself:
Absolutely NO ONE who attended the "event" knew it was going to be the wedding.
Kevin's children were at Disneyland at the time of the wedding and were not in attendance.
Everyone wore classy, tailored outfits that were fitted weeks ago and secretly brought to the residence where the wedding took place; "All of the groomsmen and the bridesmaids had had their clothes fitted the week before so those clothes were secretly brought to the house," Cagle said. "They said, 'Surprise, we’re getting married, here are your clothes. Get in them.'"
Reports that there was a cash bar are untrue; "I think after they all went out to a club, maybe some people paid for their drinks," Cagle said. "However, they did get a drink free at the house after the reception."
The CBS report also states that a prenup was signed.
Leave it to Uncle Grambo to provide the information we need ... he's a much better source of news than Drudge!

This is interesting, I just got a heads up from Mike ... US Weekly is claiming that they have "proof" that Britney faked her wedding this weekend. My first reaction to hearing this was that US Weekly is wrong -- but, they may be correct. Is it really so unrealistic that the whole thing was a sham to throw off the media?
My guess is that she did, in fact, get married this past weekend. CNN got a quote from one of her spokespeople stating that they did get married. But, who knows if the spokesperson is only saying what she wants him to say. I think that the tabloids are just trying to come up with different scenarios in order to sell more magazines. I mean, they can't talk about her "upcoming wedding" anymore -- and they have to talk about something.
Time will tell what really happened this past weekend ... I just can't wait for TheSmokingGun.com to get us a copy of the prenup.

News is s-l-o-o-o-o-o-w today. So, I'm going to post about ME! Well actually, about Matt & Ame's wedding pictures that have just become available online. Digital copies of all of Matt & Ame's wedding pictures are available for purchase online as of last night. Here are a few of the pictures. I love how the photographers were in LOVE with Erik because only Ame is in more pictures than Erik is (and I suspect that Erik is in more pictures than Matt is). There are a couple of really bad pictures of me (I look like I'm having a fit on the dancefloor) so I opted to not share those with all of you lovely people. Click the image above to see it larger.
Anyways, as I said -- there really isn't shizz for goss today. Perhaps Britney's wedding has zapped all life out of the gossip world? Hmmm, we all wait with baited breath for the official wedding pictures to surface (People magazine?) but there is news that she DID have Kevin sign an "iron-clad" prenuptial agreement which is the smartest thing she's done in, well, her whole life ...
R.E.M. fans should head over to My Space where you can stream their new album for 2 weeks before it gets released. I'm not an R.E.M. fan but I'm sure this information will benefit someone.
